Hi!
Kirra - Poor Charli having feeling sick...sometimes baby vicks can be good? or saline nasal spray??? That's about all I do at this age and then some panadol before bed....
How sad having the funeral yesterday - sometimes it can be helpful to think about things positively - that he lived a full life and found love and had a family - how nice that he was able to share his life with someone for that long!!! Sometimes people never find love...I know it's awful but if you can think of the postives it sometimes helps...I know I'd rather grow old than die young!!! Fair enough having a cry last night - you need to in these situations - we never stop missing the people we lose!! Big hugs to you and Trav...xo
-
Kirra - I tried to upload some up to date photos onto BB but the button was missing to browse?? Do you have a vaporiser? I find they work wonders if you have them going whilst bubba sleeps. Sorry to hear about Trav's pop, I had my best friends grandpa's funeral last week and it was so emotional. It's only human to cry and let out some of our grief. xx

Just a quick one from me...
Dr called earlier and my hcg levels have basically doubled so that's good! Just have to wait until my scan next week for the ok...my dates are still way off though so really crossing fingers...
Chat later!

Kristie - great news on the hcg levels. How is dh coping with it all now?
I did a hpt today and it was a bfn - I still don't feel right though so maybe i will give it another week and try again. Who knows what my body is up to atm.....
-
Thx, i think i needed to just cry and get it all out.
WooHoo on the HCG levels dbling Kris, thats a very positive sign
I do have a vapouriser and i'l turn it on tonight, i hate seeing her sick, breaks my heart cause shes so lil and defenceless :(
Oh i noticed the button was missing for a while too but its back on mine now.

Hi everyone!
I hope everyone who's been sick is feeling better - kiddies included!
Congratulations Kristie! I hope everything is going well for you.
Kirra - sorry to hear about your pop-in-law. My nanna passed away a few weeks ago and it has been very emotional for everyone in our family even though we knew she would be going. Death is never an easy thing to deal with no matter how preapred you are or how close you are to the person who's passed. My thoughts are with you and your family.
My goodness Shell! You are busy! I hope your tooth problem is all okay now! My hat's off to you for continuing to breastfeed the twins still! Well done!
I hope what I'm writing makes sense as I'm finding it hard to concentrate while Samuel cries in the room near me! I'm doing controlled crying as he needs to have a nap and won't go to sleep. I don't like doing it and hardly ever do it but I've spent ages walking around with him. Usually he goes straight off by himself but he's getting his second lot of teeth and is very clingy and whingy. Poor thing. :( He's off his food and I'd just managed to drop his afternoon bottle but now that he's teething he won't eat his solids for lunch or dinner (only breakfast)and so he's back to having four bottles a day until he's back to his normal self.
Okay, time to go in and give him some cuddles!!!
-
Aww Melsa, i feel for you, I did controlled crying with Charli when she was a baby cause i wasnt going through the same thing i did with Alyssa, where i had to hold her to get her to sleep and while she was asleep and sleep with her at night. no way was i doing that again and now her teeth are coming through.... FIRST ONE COME THROUGH FRIDAY  she has gone ferrel at night and wakes up 3-4 times :wall:
Anyway GL with it and hopefully they pop through quickly and give the poor lil man a break :)

Hi!
Kylie - Thanks - dh is slowly getting his head around it - he'll be fine!! Hmmm on the bfn...I wonder why your feeling sick??
Kirra - I hope Charli's starting to feel better! Bugger she's waking up so much overnight - Yeah on her first tooth though! Hey - sorry I didn't get back to your message - my phone was flat yesterday - the chef's toolbox stuff hasn't come in yet - Lea thinks it will be tomorrow - I'll let you know!!
Melanie - Big hugs doing controlled crying...it is super hard...we have done it a little with Ethan when he started waking heaps through the night...now he's up once overnight for a feed and I can handle that...
Remember too that 9months old is often a seperation anxiety time for them...I know Ethan doesn't necessarily like being held by people at the moment and gets the bottom lip happening so maybe that could be something as well as the toothie pegs???
We're well! Had a really nice weekend and me and the kids are all better now! Finally! Looking forward to the week going fast so I can have my scan!
Ethans well - crawling around and standing up heaps!! He claps his hands and gives kisses! So cute. He's also trying so hard to talk - makes all sorts of different sounds and stuff now...

Hi Robyn - Welcome!
Hello everyone else!
Nothing exciting happening here - I hope you are all having good nights and this disruption of teeth, colds are abating!
xx
-
Hi!
Welcome Robyn - What a gorgeous little man you have there!! I hope you're move goes well - that sounds like a lot of work with a 9mo! I look forward to chatting with you!
Mak - Hi!
I had my scan last Friday and all is good with bubs!! It pushed my dates forward a little again so I am 7 weeks...very exciting to see the little heart beating...I don't know how we did it but this little bubba wants to join us I think!!
Ethan's well - he slept through 4 nights in a row and then the last few have been ordinary again...I actually did a bit of cc with him last night when he was up wanting his 2nd feed for the night...I'm just too tired for the night feeds now...plus I know he's eating sooo much and it's just for comfort not for hunger iykwim?? Anyway, only took about 20min and he slept then until 8.30am!
Hope everyone else is well!!
Ok...better go! Chat later...

Hi and welcome Robyn!
Kristie! I'm so pleased to hear everything's great with the new little bubba! :D
Samuel had his 8 month check with the CHN on Monday (a bit late he'll be 9 months on Saturday!) and he's doing great! Only thing is, he's always been bang on the 50th percentile for his weight and this time he was slightly under - nothing really to bother about just that I've been offering him the bottle before his solid food still and the nurse suggested I do it the other way around and so the last two days he's eaten double the amount of food and still had his bottles!! So he'll be a chubba in no time I think! He's super active though so I think he needs the fuel! :)
My hubby is having issues with his work and may not have a job for much longer and considering I'm on unpaid Mat leave we're slightly stressed!! Hopefully it will all work out. :(
Hope everyone's well!

Hi Robyn... welcome and GL with the move :)
I wish charli would sleep through, that is my ultimate wish. lol. I'm gonna start weaning her in the next couple of weeks, starting with formula at night so i dont have to get up for the 10-11 feed, DP can do it cause he's already up anyway and he can do it on weekends too which will be a HUGE help. I've also started back at my course..' Diploma in Accounting' i only have 1 semester left so i'm doing it by flexi over the next yr. Anyway im off to watch ice age 3 with lys and eat my lunch.....finally. lol.

Hi everyone
Sorry its been a while but I never get any noifiactions & it is very annoying!
Kristie - great to hear all is well. I'm so jealous! It's terrible, I know!
Kirra - I'll ask about work. Will let you know.
Robyn - welcome
Melsa - we are in the same situation as you. How **** is it!
Kylie - tutus are driving me nuts at the moment! I cn't get photos up here either. hey're all on facebook - maybe we should just all add eachother.
Everyone else - hello & glad you are all well!
My girls are doing well. Lily has 6 teeth & has started teething again. I think she just wants to get it all over and done with! She loves standing & is always letting go & trying to do it on her own. I caught Pip carrying her the other day! She thinks Lily is her doll!
Ok, this was quick, DH is home & wants to go to bed, so ciao everyone! Speak soon hopefully!
-
Hi all, how is everyone??
Been busy here, just started doing my diploma in accounting again so dont get much time to get on.
Alyssa's birthday is this weekend, been very busy planning, although now the weather seems to be turning to ***** so not happy at all, will have to figure out a wet weather plan.... although i did like my idea of puting all 21 kids outside. lol
Charli is doing GREAT, she is coming out with new words all the time, she can now say alyssa, nye nye and waves too, points to our family pic and says our names...dada, mum and alyssa. sooo cute, shes growing up so fast :( but at the same time im loving it. hehe.
Well i better be off, just hoped on quickly to say hi, naughty me im meant to be studying
-
Hi everyone
Thanks for the welcomes.
Am getting closer to moving over to GC. Moving company coming this week hopefully. Then I just have to sell my car and I can come over. DH is living in rented house with an airbed and tv so he is probably hanging out for us to be there too.
Good luck with study Kirra. I am an accountant, or was pre baby. I kind of miss it actually. can't believe i feel like that as i couldn't wait to finish work.
What does everyone feed their babies? I think my little button is getting sick of his food. I do lots of mashing of veges and then trying to make it taste a bit better by covering in stewed apple. And he has toast but i feel like I am not very adventurous.
It is freezing here in Auckland today, I won't miss the weather here.

Hi Ladies
Seems everyones busy at the same time! it's been crazy here to - the never ending story! ha!
Kirra - I've spoken to a friend at work & she's going to let me know what's going on with positions at headoffice. I think you must have just missed out on their last hires. Good luck with the accounting. That would be a good job as you could easily do it from home. Good thinking! :) Hmmm, I need to speak to an accountant re my business, I could be your first client :) My accountant while good is a little sleazy so I don't feel comfortable seeing him on my own! Reading what you wrote about Charli was like reading about Lily! Clever beans! Good luck for Alyssas party. I'm organizing Pip's at the mont & am hoping to have everyone outside too.
Robyn - sounds like a big job moving such a long way. I don't envy you! I'm sure your DH will be rapt when you are all together again. Hey, what day is your son's birthday? Is it the 9th like my Lily? :)
I pretty much feed Lily what ever we are eating. Not much mashing going on over here! Breakfast is weetbix or baby oats with some sort of fruit - she loves blueberries at the moment!. Lunch is a sandwich with avacado, vegimite, tec, etc(not in the same sandwich of course!) & dinner is same as us ( or a modified version if it has any egg, honey or nuts). She'll have fruit, cheese or yoghurt for a snack. Or rusks, bloody rusks! hahaha!
Well, my girls are doing well. Piper is her usual crazy funny self!
Lily has another tooth with another on the way, so that makes 7! She's been trying to stand on her own & walks using one of those walking toy things that converts from a pushing thing to a bike(tht was the worst description ever!) - you know what I mean? She cracks me up when she talks - Mumma, dada(more mumma though:) ), num num(which she kind of growls!) & she calls Piper Bum Bum - probably because pip is always flashing her bum! She's been waving heaps too. The other day I had her in the sling(kangaroo position) & she waved to everyone we passed. She's so cute('m biased I know!) and is such a smilie baby. Big blue eyes & very blonde hair - I think people must think I've kidnapped her when take her out! haha! Wish I could put some photos up here. Wih I could see everyones Bubs too!
Got my period for the first time two weeks ago - it explains my sulky behaviour! ha! I shouldn;t complain, I had 9 months off(well, hang on, 18 months off!). Hows everyon going with feding? Everyone still on the boob? We are. Hey, question time, I can't remember when to cut the lunch feed. Is everyone still doing 3 feeds?
Ok, I have to go - some more orders to fill but I can't reallly be bothered. I'm a bit excited because I've just booked in to have a logo & banner designed! yay! I have no idea what I want though.
ok, I'm going! have fun peeps
Ciao xxx

Thanks for that. Yes he is 9 November as well.
It sounds like we are a bit behind in feeding. I always worry he is going to choke on other food types so he is still on mashed stuff. I probably need to start giving him what we are having too.
