LOL kim i guess i can wait !!!! so everything was fine today?? they saw everything they needed to? not on the small side anymore
Im sure come October id have slipped up and some will catch me. All was good.Bub has a huuuge tummy, umm.. only thing they stil had problems seeing was the 3 cord vessels... could only find 2. But wasnt concerned as bub was growing and is now the right size in all measurements. Have a cute snap of M2 with its hand up near its face, and it kept opening and closing mouth... was nice to see and reassuring! Kept kicking heaps when the lady tried doing all the scans again....lol
We did have another cot on layby but today decided we didnt want it.. so have now opted for a cradle... and then bub can stay in that for as long as possible then move Chels into her own big bed!
glad all was well kim!! i'm thinking girl, am i right??????
had a lovely day today at a friends winery for the shortest lunch, sat on a couch all arvo beside the fire and sipped my ONE glass of beautiful unwooded chardy (me drooling) with some dear friends and my ever dearer pregnant best friend (who lives there), DH and sophie who i must say was a delight!!!!!!!!! eating goumet pizzas!!!! fabo day!!! sitting here now knocking back a icy cold beer arhhhh classy hey!!
my best friend who is pregnant is the friend who lost her little boy during labour last august, well her twin sister is pregnant and is not sure whether she wants a natural labour or c/s due to witnessing what happended to her sister, anyhow b/f said that she hope she has a natural birth as she wants to be there, i told her if she doesnt that i would love her to be at the birth of my next bub!!! she was ecsatic!!! i never wanted anyone there except dh but would have her!!!!! anyway enough of me rambling
hope everyone is having a great weekend
Sounds like an awesome day AJP.... :)

100 points AJP!! Ypu have a 50/50 chance of being right!
Welcome Lekala....glad to have you join us!
Hi Lekala! Not to worry about the 'not a good sleeper' read back through all our posts and we're all having exactly the same issues!
i'm reading a really good book at the moment called 'how to help your baby sleep' or something (i'm too tired to get up and look) but it's quite good, lots of aha! moments and some ohhhh moments. but all goes along the same lines of the gentle sleep approach.
had a weird day today, i dont know why, but lets say that if i had a beer (ajp) i'd be drinking. anyways, going to bed! hoping for another night like last night 10:30 til 4:45! woohoo!
cheers TARA!!!!! i though of you when i drank it ;) very noice too, have a great sleep,i'm off too
Not to keen on the ol' beer...but gee a vodka would be nice about now!! Dh bought a pack of 8 andf he is slowly drinking them in front of me... its torture!!!
Welcome Lekala!!!
Glad everything went well with the scan Kim!! really wish u would let it slip on the gender!! hehe its going really quick 23 weeks already!! wow
AJP - glad u had a lovely day.
We had a pretty average day, then come night Emelia had her bottle, solids then bath and into bed as normal for the night...then and hour later (7.30pm) she wakes?! i thought ok ill just pop her dummy in as normal (as shes been waking lately but just wanting her dummy) but nope she was ready to play lol cute but i was planning an early night! so she snuggled with me while watching some tele, which was nice, then she wanted to get down and play! 8.30 comes around and she is still wide eyed!! so had another bottle played abit more she seemed abit grumpy tried putting her to bed didnt want to sleep at all so got her up again then around 9.30 decided to take her for a drive at 10 she finally fell asleep but about 5 mins in her cot she woke again so i put a litttle bit of bongela on and she went straight back to sleep, so i dont know if its more teeth coming so hard wish she could tell me wats up!! anyways im finally off to bed fingers crossed we have a good night :D
Hello
Last night was our best yet!!! Eliza woke only once which is great,(its usually 4/5 times) we had a week at what used to be called Riverton here in brisbane but now is the Ellen Barron family center, we made some progross but of course when we came home DD got sick and all my hard work went out the window. I think she is getting better but I guess it hard to sleep when your little nose is all blocked!! Anyway hope you all have a good night too, heres hoping it lasts. bye for now lekala

Lekala, glad u had a better night fingers crossed it lasts!!
we didnt have such a good night i was up every hour with Emelia..i think she is coming down with another cold :(
hope everyone had a good weekend
Lekala, both myself and Anne found the same things - babies slept really well and were good at self-settling and then as soon as they got sick (virus/cold/immunisations) it all went out the window.
NEED SOME SUGGESTIONS; every night evie's nappy leaks i always change it but it seems that she needs a bucket!
We had a perfect night. Bed at 9pm.. never woke til 730am but put herself back to sleep... only to have me wake her 15 mins later as we had to be at church by 9am (we never ever go but have to before Chels can be baptised).
Today she has been having on and off naps.
Hmm...Would 2 nappies work for you Tara?? Bit of extra protection. I found is we use Aldi nappies over night they leak.. but have no problems with Huggies.
I use Huggies - which is why i am quite surprised. we do have the heater on which dries the room out so she wakes more often for feeds..hence the wetter nappies. Grr! i cant keep up with her washing.
She was really being a 'little person' this afternoon. i laid down on the couch and sat her next to me and she opens her mouth and launches at my face to blow raspberries on my cheek and bite my nose and cheekbones, she thought it was hilarious - i coudnt stop laughing. she gets something in her sight, opens her mouth and throws herself forward. crazy bambini!
Umm ok.. how about... do u have any MCN? If so maybe you could put one over the top of her Huggies and then some pilchers?
ha i was going to suggest cloth!!!!!!! otherwise a normal mentral pad can work if placed inside for added absorbancy
oh you girls!! so clever!!
how's this, evie was wriggling round the on the floor and dh was laying next to her, next thing we know she's wiggled over to him and leaning against him, pulled herself up to STAND! we just looked at each other like 'what the!??!?!'
Hi
I was having the leak problem too so I bought the next size up nappy and found it didnt leak, Eliza is in the crawler size we use babylove they are fantastic, I never liked huggies stopped using them when Zoe was a baby they leaked too, but when Zoe was a new born they were the only brand you could but in that small size! Hope you all had a good weekend. ps fingers crossed we have another good sleep tonight.
http://bf.lilypie.com/OcRTp10/.png
ELiza has done that too, its a bit of a shock, she looks too little to be standing yet!!
http://bf.lilypie.com/OcRTp10/.png
yeah i was going to suggest going up a size in the nappies too?!
HEllo girls!!!
Welcome Lekala! I went to Riverton twice with Matilda... I had PND and really needed the support but I didn't cope well with the control crying, or the control comforting thing...
I used to put one of Matilda's nappies over one of Jovie's at night for extra protection... that was before she woke 3 times a night, now we change her once at night during the wake ups
Well her second tooth came & went.... grrrrr... but she's sleeping better so maybe thats what it was afterall.
hmm interesting Lekala, i found the babylove nappies always leaked and the huggies didnt. it's because she sleeps on her side, shes in the crawler size too but maybe i'll buy some bigger ones just for night time and see what happens..it's going to be like she's got a mattress in her jammies!
Hi ladies -
Tara - its funny you should ask about the leaking nappy saga- aston woke up wet this morning too, and I got a text from a g/f asking for suggestions on what to do for exactly that problem...how bizarre! anyway, I suggested the same as Kim and AJP - I used cloth over a disposable, then plichers with Laura and Nathan... this time though I will have to go and get some cloth! don't have any this time round. Far out on the standing up - scary isn't it!
Christy - aston has a tooth coming up too, and I hope that it breaks through, not just tease him. Its mean that it happens like that. plus he has a cold, so is a little snufflupicus. I'm goign to take him to the doctor tomorrow, just to make sure that there is no ear infections, or anything else happening. added to that Nathan has asthma, which I'm praying will be ok tonight til I can take him to the doc tomorrow too. I have to go to hospital with nat before for Asthma, and if that happen now I would be in this horrible delima of not wanting to leave him, but having to breast feed Aston. oh the joys of mother hood..... If only I could split myself in two, or three, no make that four....
Hi Lekala - welcome to our happy group... Aston has another little girl to add to his harem...lol...I realised the other day, that I'm the only regular poster now for our group that has a boy!! (come on kim, you have to have a blue one next!)
Blanche - I hope emelia is feeling better, and that you have a better night tonight. we had a shocker last night too. Up and down and up and down, but really awake when he stirred, which is really unsusal for him, I think its his nose driving him mad.
AJP sounds like you had a very lovely day - you sounded all warm and fuzzy.
We have had a great weekend, just being together. Had SIL and BIL over for dinner last night, and played poker, then went to the beach today with the dog, which was lovely. something special about going to the beach in winter, when you are all snugged up. Watched the kite surfers which are amazing! It looks like such a rush.
My back is still giving me heaps, pain killers help, but I hope the physio helps even more on Tuesday, can't keep taking them for ever. Its been good to have DH home, and he's off tomorrow, so I havent had to lift aston as much as I normally would, so at least it is getting a chance to heal. (jsut not quick enough for me!)
Hope everyone else has had a good weekend, and are happy and healthy....
I hope Aston gets better soon Vicky.. i hated when Chelsea had a cold... she was so grizzly and wouldnt let me wipe her nose etc. Also hope Nat is ok with his Asthma tonight... would be nice to split into 2. A mum for Chelsea.. and then my other half can have time with Hubby :) As for making a blue for the next one.. ill see what i can muster!!
Our toothy peg still here and not gone back into hiding!! Chels is using it to her advantage and no biting hard onto my finger just so i know its there! Lil bugger wont let me take a picture tho.
Hahaha Kim im still trying to get a good pic of Emelia's 2 teeth, she just wont let me!!
Vicky hope u have a better night tonight and hope Nathan and Aston get better soon. Emelia was teething at the same time she had her throat infection then i think the day after her throat was better there was the tooth!! so it was good in away to get them both out the way!
that is so cute Taralee, about the raspberry blowing!
Blanchie, love your signature photo
i hear a wailing bilby, got to go, she's been unwell all weekend, we're all sick
:( at the sick family Gigi!
LMAO Vicky at Aston's harem!!! hehehe....
Going okay atm. Jovie's recovering & teething like a champ! I had a big night last night & recovering very slowly ;)
VICKY it's funny in my mothers group and antenatl group there are mostly boys so plenty of boyfriends for her but in here it's the opposite, mmmm lots of choices for aston!!!
CHRISTY aarrhhh self inflicted big night hey!!!! nothing that bacon and eggs or vegemite on toast cant fix!!!
our toothipeg vanished never to be seen again! well not just yet anyway! though she is rosy red today. sophie started saying mumma on saturday, so everything is mumma or mmuuuuuummmmmm cute.
Ive put up with dadadadadada al last week and was even worse on the weekend cos Craig kept saying it back to Chels... the louder he got.. the louder she got as well!
Bugger... damn ticker isnt working again... i dunno why i bother with the Bump and Beyond tickers!
Thanks Gigi, Emelia loves wearing sunnies!! Hope u all get well soon.
Sounds like u had a good night Christy!! good to hear Jovie's recovering!
Go Sophie!!
Kim - thats all i hear too is Dad dad or Dadaaaaa, she hasnt been saying nan nan anymore and mum mum went out the window weeks ago lol !! its all about Dad and he likes that alot!!
Ladies! Hello again.
We've been trying to get Ella back into her old sleep routine. Like Tara said after we came down with a cold she wouldn't self settle. Now we seem to back on track again. We havent rocked Ella for the last 6 days :) she now settles with bum/leg patting Yay!
Gigi - its hard when everyones sick. Hope you get some rest.
AJP - So cute to hear them say mummum. Ella still hasnt taken to bottle/cup/sippy cup. Nothing is working here. And i go back in 2 weeks!
On the crawling thing. Ella hasn't rolled for ages and seems happy to just sit and play with toys. She loves to stand but doesnt pull her self up.
Ann
Emelia is the same as Ella, she prefers to sit and play with toys and stand, she does roll but hates it on her tummy so she plays for about 5 mins!!!
sophie's always rolling around and starting to really pull her legs up and rock!!!!
she sits if i place in the sitting position but i dont do it often as i want her to learn to do it herself when she learnt to crawl
ANN sorry love i dont have any more suggestions for you!! she knows she can get it straight from you, cheaky girl!!!
Same.. mum went out the door when we discovered dad... so we just get dad and bub...trying to get her to say nan now!
Chels loves her tummy... and finally can sit up now!! only taken 7 months!! But loves to roll and crawl funny... gettin so fast...need to invest in some safety gates now
Good to hear you're having some success with sleeps Ann, evie put herself to sleep this morning too, but i've found that sometimes i dont want to wait for her to play and keep going back in to put herself to sleep so i rock her, which i so naughty of me i know but sometimes i'm too tired!
