I think Ive said this before, but i was talking to DH about it last night as he is just a research-machine and is trying so hard to help with this sleep thing. everything we read says the same thing
- all babies are different
- dont expect baby to sleep through the night
- night waking is very common
- babies are, by nature, terrible sleepers
- what works one night/week/month wont work the next n/w/m
- waking is more common with developmental changes
so why do we all think that what are babies are doing is wrong...its frustrating yes that they dont sleep at night, but maybe we've got it back-to-front. a baby does what a baby does - they're not waking up for sh*ts and giggles, they're waking up for a reason and i think we need to just chill out and go with it. eventually they'll sleep and eventually we'll sleep and in the meantime lets all take a chill pill washed down with some frosty beer
just kidding...do you know what i mean. i think we're all lead into believing that babies should do things and when they dont we get stressed, i'm tending to think that evie'll do what she's meant to all in good time. in the meantime shes a happy, healthy baby so i have to grateful for that
