thats great to hear nelly!
didnt want solids again...oh well, all i can do is keep trying a bit everyday. shes not starving and she'll eat them when shes ready - i have to keep telling myself!
BUT she is sitting up on her own! its so cute - she crawls to a toy she likes then sits herself up, picks it up and inspects it then crawls to something else and repeats the process when shes had enough with that one!
Very cute Tara - how quick are our babies growing now?!? Too quickly - before we know it will be planning 1st birthdays!
Kim I'm glad your back is improving - go to the physio though if it doesnt become 100%
Blanche - how lucky are you to have a night out!! Very jealous! I dreamt about a night out last night lol with my best friend. How cute Emelia sitting up when you go into her.
Feeling a little calmer then I did early today, just resigned myself to the fact that this is how it is at the moment, not always going to be this way, just is for now. My big kids are going to their fathers on the weekend, for the second time this year!! so it will be nice to have a break - even a partial one. Aston seems to be getting better from his cold, but the top two teeth are bulging, not wanting to eat much, but completely irridicated a rusk lol
Hope you all have good nights
*hugs* Vicky I have to stamp very hard to get time out ;)
oh Kim sore backs are so awful, I hope you get some relief.
Jovie's been all out of sorts this afternoon. I blame her 90minute nap this morning  the day she sleeps, she then cracks it all arvo.
Hey Christy, have you used your babysitting prize yet? for some all important ME time.
DH I think is trying to make it up to me. He is taking me out to dinner on the weekend - with Aston, but at least its out!
So hard leaving Ella crying hysterically in the morning...Poor darling. She holds her arms out and cries and cries for me..
She only slept 1hr for the whole day. She was fine at the end of the day but i dont think an hour is enough.
Nelly - Peaceful? I have been less stressed after sharing the night duties with DH.
Tara - They eat heaps on one day and then nothing the next - Ella's like that sometimes. But not tonight. She had 7 cubes of pasta and 3 cubes of custard.
She had fish today and loved it! I'm holding back from prawns and other shellfish just in case she reacts to it. We had yumcha on the weekend and she ate a dumpling ;)

So weird, after being asleep for an hour last night Evie woke up screaming, like inconsolable screaming. i had NO idea what was wrong, i pulled all her clothes off, checked her bed, she didnt have a fever, she didnt have a rash, she wasnt hungry, but she just kept looking around and would only stop crying when she could see the cat...bizarre. i was home on my own but dh came home an hour after she started crying and we tried to give her some panadol which she spat up but then he managed to get her back to sleep. so i have no idea what the matter was...i was even looking all around the house in case someone had snuck in and done something to her..i was out of ideas!!
So she's sleeping for 3 hours at a time at night, but woke up last night not wanting a feed and it took me an hour to get her back to sleep by patting and rocking, she was chatting away. so maybe last night wasnt the best time to get an idea of whats going on in her little head. i'm kinda relieved that she didnt want to just be fed back to sleep but then its so easy to take 15 mins as opposed to an hour!
i guess i just have to keep going with the flow and be grateful that shes not up every 45mins like she used to be!
will try solids again today...*sigh*
Tara - have you heard of night terrors? Laura used to have them when she was a babe. Would be screaming - and inconcolable, but not really awake - even though her eyes were wide open. NOthing would settle her, until it subsided on its own. Horrible, I would just cuddle her, til she settled by herself.
Chelsea done the same Tara...1230am screaming but eyes were closed... cummy in and then i could hear her sobbing for 10 mins after. Then 330am crying again...dummy and she was fine. Slept til 7, then i got up gave her dummy and she went back to sleep til 9....now back in bed playing!
She has discovered standing up in the cot now and loves doing it!
OMG what has happened!!! my baby was up from 2am every hour for a feed :( :( I'm sooo tired. DH got up with her at 5.30 and let me sleep until 6.45am but then woke me up so he could get ready for work. URGH... I'm not happy. & she's only slept 20 minutes so far today & seems quite proud of herself
And to top it off.... I'm going to have a DH vent now. WHY is it sooo hard to pick up the dirty nappy you JUST changed and put it in the bin?? Do you HAVE to leave dirty nappies wherever you choose to change her? On the lounge, change table... ground?? And while we are at leaving things around, do you think I have nothing else to do in the day??? Why when you are changing a nappy, or taking your shoes off or taking a bib off do you need to leave them right where you are?? Is it hard to put socks in the laundry basket 2m away?? Why bother putting the bib in the soaker tub when you can leave it out overnight to get mouldy? Why is that hard??? Then he thinks he deserves a fricken medal for doing HALF the washing up! Or giving the girls a bath.... (but of course he leaves all their clothes for the day in the bathroom on the ground & the tub an absolute eyesore).
hugs christy - even though I'm chuckling... DH's when ever they do anything need to be patted on the back don't they!! When do we get our pats on the back???
I agree... and dirty dishes... we leave them where ever dont we... dont need to go into the dishwasher? And you tell me you need clothes for work late on a Sunday night!! LOL...
I dun give Craig a hard time... he is out supporting our family, and im at home being lasy when i could be doing much more then what i do. Yes theres things that annoy me... but he is doing more then his fair share in this as well. Work as a team and then things get done!
Kim - Chelsea is sooo cute, i have to keep remembering to put the side rail all the way up once Emelia is in bed...caught her yesterday trying to climb out!!
Christy - i hear u darl!!
Vicki - how r u today?
yep christy i hear ya, especially regarding the medal!!!! i think they all deserve a good donk on the head instead!!
well we sem to have all lost our sleeping babies!!! sophie isnt sleeping well, goes down ok then wakes after 1 hour then talks for the next 3 in bed!!! i think it's developmental as she seems to like to explore the cot!!
been very busty sewing up a storm for a sale starting tomorrow!!! better get back to it!!
wow for the first time ever it seems my baby is sleeping and no-one else's is!! 3 hours is better than 1! let me bask in this moment for a mo!
i need some quiet evening activity ideas...anyone?
Quiet evening activites for you, or Evie?
I'm not going to say anything about Ella's sleep in case we jinx ourselves..;)
Tara - how about reading? We do that to wind down and it seems to work.
Christy - DH always leaves tea bags just above the bin. I dont get it - its just 20 cms away from the bin!
AJP - good luck with the sale!
