ANN thanks for the lovely sophie compliments, you too balnche!!! she looks more like her dad, has my eyes sort of!!! has his nature as well
having a down night tonight, found out a friend will be selling the same sort of things as me on my online shop (sorry christy naughty i know) but it really ****s me , she sells these items on ebay and we'll be competing with each other she's cheaper!
Sophies ticker pic doesnt do her justice... she is a gorjus lil thing IRL....sooo cute
Chelsea loooooves water now (other then her bath water)....all of a sudden she will drink it from a cup, as long as im holding it of course. Hates holding it herself.
Isnt it funny how they just start doing something all of a sudden!! Emelia keeps scaring her daddy she will crawl over to him sitting on the lounge and stand up and let go of the couch hehehe he thinks shes going to fall but she just thinks it hilarious!! argghh she will be walking so so soon :s
wish we could have a november baby buddies meetup that would be awesome had a great time meeting up with the perth ladies yesterday and also Danni and little Mason..so cute!
Yeah Mason is a cutie for sure.... seen him about 3-4 weeks ago now a one of the other BB members house i hang with!!
Im off to a baby market tomorrow....might find some stuff to buy... might not. I need to find a mobile thingy for bubs cradle...(OMG it looks cute now). I added a mozzie net thingy and look really baby'ish...M2 is one lucky bubba!!
Id love to have a Nov meet up... shame we are all spread out everywhere!
how does everybody keep bubs in bed??? by this i mean sophie has discovered getting out from under blankets and stuffing around!! gone are the days of putting her to bed and walking out and her simply going to sleep!! now 1/2 - 1 hour later i'm going in to put her back and tucking her in!! help
Chelsea hasnt stayed under blankets in hmm....3-4 months!! I just make sure i dress her warm enuf to get thru the night... and day time i normally ave the heater on or our house is warm enuf without it on.
Went to baby market today... was quite good.
Now where are all the MCN users in here...i know u are Jol!! I was looking into this Baby bee hind mob.... any opinions??
Yep Jols...know ur in the best state in the whole of oz
Kim BB's are fitteds with covers, i use these in bamboo for nights and hemp for day, i only have one hemp and 3 bamboo. i like them easy to use and fit from birth to toilet training though i didnt have them when sophie was born so cant comment on newborns. they are great as are any fitted with covers when bubs is younger as there are two barriers for explosive newborn poos!!!i would then go to AIO (all in ones) or pocket when the bubs is older and poo solids as it just rolls off nappy and into toilet. another good nappy like the babybeehinds is in hemp and its called a mandy mac, these at the moment are only $12 and do up with a snappi and are OSFA (one size fits all) i have two of these and would happily get more.!! these need a cover. covers can be bought from many places for a little as $13 i can point you in the right direction if you need.
you need to be commited to cloth, especially with runny poo's it involves rinsing or sometimes scrapping poo off but it's not that bad!!! very easy and will save you heaps of money..
PM me if you want to more help or info
I'm gonna PM you Jols!!! Don't worry on the norti bus, its okay to say you have a shop in here, just not in the cloth nappy section where everyone is walking a fine line
I'm having a baby behinds demo in a week or so, too bad you live so far away!!! I'm also looking into the BumG's as they look fantastic. Cherie and Shannon are cloth nappy buffs and have been helping me out heaps lately.
OMG so confusing!!!! Why cant they make one kinda nappy....
I swear the chick thought i was a nut cos i was so lost with all these things she was showing me....argghhhh this poor bub will have disposibles if i cant get my brain together asap!!
LOL Kim I think thats why its a good idea to buy a few different sorts and only 1-2 of them so you can figure out what works best for you. We are buying mainly one size fits all because I want to be able to use them until Jovie is out of nappies. I am buying 3 that aren't one size fits all just to see.
I wanna use them for Chelsea and new bub... so the one size is wat ill need!
Im scared to take the step.... but its one i think will work out best cost wise and so forth. Love my one use chuck aways now...but starting to cost a fortune.. and if i have 2 in nappies....well yeh.. ca imagine the costs!!
Also praying i can BF... so i dont have 2 FF kiddies!!!
christy the bum genius are great as well, kim they are also OSFA so will fit both babes, mandy macs are also good like i said before, cheap as well, definatly best to by one to satrt then build the stash!!
christy i know what you mean
WOO HOO!!! I put a woo hoo up earlier in that forum, I got so many new toys today. Our refinancing went through last week & we've done up a budget for the remainder of the $$. Some things we were desperate for, like a working refrigerator and washing machine, and others were on our "want" list, like a macbook and cloth nappies.
Well.... I'm soooo excited because I just some very cute nappies online... (thanks Jols )

How's little Ella going Luaa? How are you hon? Managing to get lots of water into you? SOmething i found helpful, when getting over gastro, was the STaminade type drinks in the supermarket, you can buy a tub of that powder of it that you make into the drink, so it's much cheaper than buying it already made up. That made drinking the water a bit more tasty. Plus it has get up and go goodies in it, to replenish your body salts. Hope you both feel better soon.
i'm about to change my signature, to have the flickr url in there (with more recent shots of my bilby).
Christy, i have a nearly 9 month old baby, and have tried loads of nappy brands, give me a yell if you want some help.
Cheap but good covers? Baby beehinds PUL covers are only $11.50 - fine for daytime - short wears. Not the best for night time.
Mandy Macs OSFA pockets are on special for all August, only $12 - i don't need more, but if i did, i'd be buying them now! a good workhorse nappy, and i know several people who have used them from newborn age. Whereas other OSFA don't really suit until bubs is at least a month old.
off to watch Big Love and have tea, not home cooked pizza ala Christy! (yummo) but roo sausages with veggies, that's what dh likes to cook.
AJP - im constanly going into Emelia and tucking her in again, she is always standing there waiting!! sorry no advice i just have to keep going in until she gets so tired and falls asleep!
I forgot to say in all my spending $$ buzz.... I use a sleeping bag for Jovie so I don't worry about covers. I put her in a wondersuit under the sleeping bag for now.
