Aston has turned into a cuckoo clock again, and was up every hour last night. and mummy has turned into the cuckoo!! I hate teeth! poor little man. He is finally asleep, and I am supposed to be dropping DH's car off at 8 to be serviced so that we can get it done in time to get to swimming today....some how don't think that is going to happen!! sigh... best laid plans eh

Tara - Its hard to remember everything! Dont be hard on yourself.
Ella also eats all the time. Probably because i eat all the time :) Ella eats when we eat. She's very curious about what we are eating she she ends up snacking a lot. But she has her usual 3 big meals with water and morning and afternoon tea in between.
How is evie sleeping these days? Still going to sleep holding your hand? so cute...

Sleep not so good the last 2 nights, but has woken up with really bad nappies so i am attributing it to teeth. the 2nd top one is almost through. her voice seems to be really gravelly the last couple of days too, so i dont know if she's feeling a little under the weather anyways.
I think I just run out of ideas of things to feed evie, and i'm not a terribly good eater myself so that doesnt help.
Will dedicate a separate post to the special day, rather than saying happy birthday followed by my guff.

Ella spent the morning a bit off colour. I have a cold so i was worried she has it. But it turned out to be a big poo.
I can tell if she's doing them now as she gets this vacant gaze in her eyes and she tenses up and trembles....quite funny actually...
Best times to poo is during tummy time and in the bath!

ehehe, yeah we can tell when Emelia is doing a number 2, its the only time she will stop and stand still and she gets that look in her eyes too

Just realised its been 1 year since i joined BB, it was my first due date with Emelia and i was reading LOTS of birth stories trying to prepare myself LOL
O M F G....i feel like a new women!!! Had my photo shoot today and i must say Whoa i looked....well hot i guess!! :P
Man ive never felt and looked so good before. Soz just had to tell some one...or some people who would listen :D
Mind you i couldnt decided wat pics i wanted so Craig got me 11!! Cost an ouchy amount but worth it. We have some of me alone and some with Craig.

That will be soo good.....we are off to tea with some friends who couldnt make it our with us last weekend. Im dreading it actually....Jasmine is so unsettled and wont sleep. Chelsea is just being her usual horror self. Im tired and need sleep and Craig still has a cold...

Ella slept badly last night. Probably over excited... Took us about an hour to pat her to sleep and then woke up 3 times last night but we got her back to sleep quickly.
She got so many new toys - our place looks like a toy shop.

We had a great night.....went out for tea with friends...Chelsea ate like a pig...im sure she ate more then us! Of course she was hyper with all the junk food. Still managed to sleep 930-8.00am with no wakes up tho!
oh boy, the closer it gets, the more i'm thinking "no first birthday party". I've been feeling nothing but stress over it, now i hear how tired you all are after it. I have this feeling in my bones, if i do try and do it, i will have panic attacks and that won't be a good way to remember her turning one. So maybe dh was right, we should just do something, the three of us. At the moment, just that is a big event, us three going anywhere.

i'm living vicariously thru you lot, you're doing things ( going out, socialising) that i am still not up to doing (plus i'm breastfeeding, maybe that's why i'm so tired). All i seem to do is feed, wash, and shop. Even on the weekend. You all impress me greatly with your energy!

Getting closer to deciding what to get bilby for Birthday #1 - a pentatonic glockenspiel - seen several on honeybeetoys that i'm interested in getting for her.
The doh reh me far so la ti scale is the Diatonic Scale - used in many western cultures
The Pentantonic Scale is used in african, asian and celtic cultures - think wind chimes
so no matter WHAT note the baby hits, it still sounds lovely
whereas with a Diatonic scale, unless you can play music, just hitting random notes sounds discordant.
It's been SO HARD to decide what to get her - i was going to get an aboriginal baby doll but she's really too young for dolls, then i thought of a tricycle, but she's not walking yet and we have nowhere for her to ride it, and she bobs to music alot, so a musical instrument made sense. The ones in the toy shops are pretty naff, plastic and don't work. A good friend might be getting her a drum too, will be great for her co-ordination.

GIGI we really had a great time yesterday well worth the little bit of stress, the weather was fabo and so was the company of around 60 of our nearest and dearest!! with 20 staying on for tea of pizza!!

sophie slept from 6.30pm -6.30am poor thing was buggered!!!
Omg JT was AWESOME!!!!!!!! we had great seats and he was excellent, i forgot to take my camera cos when i went and seen P!nk we werent allowed to have cameras..i just assumed it would be the same BUMMER!! but didnt get home till 1am thankfully Emelia slept all night and we both just had a 2 hour sleep so im feeling a little more human now! but it was well worth it
We are going for dinner tonight too with friends...honestly i CBF!!

Gigi, im getting Emelia lots of clothes this year (not that she needs them) but i cant resist all the cute outfits..we got her a musical learning chair too seeings she loves climbing,singing and dancing it will suit her well!!

QU: On the 29th we will be travelling up to NSW...also Chelsea's birthday. When should we give her, her pressies..? The night before (28th) or buy a few small things and take them with us and she can open them when we get to mums? We have got her 2 large pressies and will take up to much room in the car..and also cos more then likely she will get a few big things from relos we will have to try cart home too.
Sarah ill be the same on pressie opening...altho Chelsea loves opening stuff....ill have to fight her!

Chelsea has soooo many 00 clothes she got last year....i put her in a suit yesterday and it was bit small....bummer her not seeing this summer in them....such a waste of money. Even Jasmine wont fit into them next summer as she already bigger then what Chelsea was at the same age. :(:(
OMG! Ella swallowed the fake diamond from her hair clip (size of a smartie)
She pulled it out of her hair and put it in her mouth. I went over and took the clip out and it was missing the diamond. So i stuck my finger into her mouth as she cried and touched it just before she swallowed it!
So i yanked her up and the first aid thing but nothing came out. She thought it was tummy time so she pushed up and raised her head! which would have helped her swallow it nicely.
She's ok now. she looks a bit normal...but i'm watch closely to make sure..

Gigi - we still Breastfeed. Twice a day but we're going to cut it down as i dont have much milk these days.
AJP - love the butterfly cake. Ours was covered in marshmallows which Miss Ella ate as we sung happy birthday!!

Im stuck on birthday party food. There will only be adults and a few kids (aged 6-11) so i dunno what to have.
KIM we just did fruit platters, cheese/cabana cjps biscuits dips, just the normal, lollies, mini cupcakes, little boys and sausage roll which where the only hot food i had, the cake i made!!

Ann that is scary, are you looking at the poo to check what comes out? Jovie & I went to Melbourne for the weekend. It was hard doing the flight as a single parent, but not as hard as it is to have 2 kids & 2 adults travelling together. She's such a gem, she was amazing. Sleeping & travelling.... amazing.
Chelsea has been norty....she was in the lounge room...looked at her and spotted smethign going into her mouth...go to investigate and pull out a $1 coin from her mouth...
Walk over tot he glass table to discover she has emptied Craigs wallet onto the floor....all his coins scattered everywhere..and the $5 notes all pulled out too!!
I guess it was a hint to fill her money boxes! Lil money grabber :P
