hi girls! sorry to hear you dh are being poo-heads. I sent darren back ti work for a couple of days and it did the job ;)
well camping..... was GREAT!!!!!! I had a ball we were in a cabin with flush toilets, proper kitchen shower etc but it was the closest to camping I have ever been and we had a ball... an Jake even slept through. At home he does but usually when we go away all hell breaks loose but he slept yay!!!
Jake update - off milk and yoghurt but back on his Losec (reflux meds) but only 10mg /day instead of the 20mg he has been on since 5 weeks. still on abs, probiotics and multi vitamins. Still seeing chiro but also have a referral for a paed ent for grommets. I think that is it... he is happier and sleeping well and generally pretty ok ... oh I forgot he picked up another virus (surprise surprise) which a skin virus related to warts (yuck) but it goes away. poor little man so he has been bit off and itchy but ok... oh and top molars are cutting too so have moments with those - but that seems to be every other week anyway!
SO merry xmas and happy new year - we are in tonight with slow cook beef and red wine, champagne and more ttc ;) If I have my way by the time this week is over there may be a bun in the oven!! :cryinglaugh:

Well we almost have our little Ella back. It turns out she had been suffering from a cold (from DH) she's over the worst of it now. She was off her food and just miserable. Of course now i feel bad because i didnt want to pick her up all the time. She's now on the floor playing with her blocks and stacking them - quite happy.
So tired... dont know why. Had a decent night in with about 12 friends and went to bed at 11pm.

Tara - I'm so over the rain...every one in this house is going a little stir crazy. I actually went for a walk down to check the level of the creek just so I could get out of the friggin house for 20mins. The silly dog fell in the creek...was quite funny actually. As for being not motivated - HELLO - YOUR making a BABY hun. the first trimester is a killer - even harder with a toddler. I remember when pregnant with Nathan, laying in the hallway, with laura laying next to me, unable to do anything...and living on crackers and rice. lol

We stayed in last night, and ordered a movie on Box office- Zodiac. Made macadamia pesto, and lavash chips, and drank champagne. Rich fell asleep lol...the kids were in the play room, and they were asleep, and I was the only one awake at 12.00am. oh well. its always an anticlimax I think. Christmas is a bigger deal for me.

I have been making mud cakes - one for to take to a friends tomorrow, and the other for laura's birhtday on thursday... I can't believe my baby girl is going to be 12!!!!She is having 5 friends over for a party - singstar, dancemat, and makeovers are on the cards... should be fun.
I got a photo today of my little brother and sister...they are 7 and 8. feeling a little sad, strange, overwhelmed... there is a very strong family resembelance. i have never met them, their mother lived in hiding for a very long time. until I put our father in prison... long story. sigh

SD got on the plane the afternoon of NYE - we are still exhausted from having her here, i slept so much today, not from NYE party, but from having SD for a fortnight. It's so much stress and such hard work. bilby gets very forgotten in the time of having SD here, too many fires for me to be putting out.
in answer to your earlier question Vicky, SD has been naughty, rude etc and very time consuming ever since i became pregnant - i think it's the Green Eyed Monster. She has a disability as well that brings many challenges on a minute by minute basis, plus we are in a very small home, so are constantly in the same small spaces together. it's a very complicated thing to try and explain, and i haven'tt even attemtped to explain the stunts her mum pulls every visit, just to make things more interesting - which always involve more expense for us. Like packing thick jumpers for a Xmas holidays - she knows we can't go for a fortnight in the heat without buying her summer clothes. Nothing we get told (involveing plans for travel etc) come true, there is always hidden stuff, wrong dates, things that cause us trouble (after we make plans based on the dates we've been told).
Our NYE was great, we were invited to our ex-nextdoor neighbour's party, Oriental theme, so i dressed up in a burnt orange silk chinese two piece outfit with those frog button things on the front, looked much nicer than it sounds!! - we had a swim in their lovely pool, loads of dance music, beautiful asian lanterns, paper origami cranes hung up, gorgeous decorations, it was like being in the Kylie Minogue music video for the song "Slow", where there are heaps of muscle bound men in speedos, these friends of ours are gay, and they have ALOT of very beautiful friends. My dh has a 40 pack, not a six pack, so it was very amusing for me to be around all these beautiful boys, but i'm happy to be a faghag! They loved bilby, last time they had seen her, i was eight months pregnant, they were happy for us that she is here and healthy. It was so lovely to be at a really happening party, but nobody was drunk or obnoxious, just happy and loving to dance. Bilby had been ratty and crying most of the day, there was so much for her to look at, pretty lights etc, she stayed really quiet and just smiled alot, got doted on heaps. ANd had a good time in the pool. All the big boys carrying on in the pool with inflatable crocodiles etc, found her a bilby sized beach ball that she had fun playing with.

Vicky - ouch - screaming match in the middle of the night, what a start to the new year, you poor honey.
Blanche - sorry your dh is being such a pain - mums never get a day off! If anything, i think dh's need to do MORE with existing kids and more housework when YOU are pregnant, not LESS! Going on my one experience, pregnancy was NOT easy, and made lots of everyday things, much harder to do, cannot imagine going thru that with another bub as well, god blimey, you need all the help you can get hon.
Vicky - what a strange feeling, to see photos of siblings you havne't met - part of you and your history, but to not know them in real life - i hope you get to meet them one day hon.

three days of over 40 and today was 39.9! i am so over thisweather! would give anything for some rain!!! i'm surprised we haven't had blackouts, everyone who has A/c is living with it, i rarely leave the one room where we have the a/c.
so between the heat (having to live in the living area, where the computer is not) and SD - that's why i've been MIA
bilby is taking a few steps, spasmodically, usually when we are out in public, like at a pool, where she has heaps of space. no new teeth, still on darn pureed everything (!!), ocassionally having day naps when she can no longer fight sleep and collapses in the playpen (I'm hugging a pillow, really watching Pingu, i 'm not tired, i'm not tired, whoops, fell asleep).
all this extreme heat, feeding often but not weeing much, i keep watching her fontanelle, worried about dehydration. too scared to take her outside in this heat, until late in the afternoon at least.
Hope Laura had a terrific 12th birthday party Vicky, SINGSTAR sounds fun! have never seen that IRL before.

Gee last night Craig cracked open the last bottle of bubbly....was doing my head in and couldnt think fast...i really shouldnt drink!! LOL
Chelsea fell this morning and hit her head ont he corner of the wall...made it bleed. On top of that today is needle day and ive not slept a wink, my stomach is churning and i feel liek the worst mum in the world...

BTW can anyone recommend a good tandem pram? So far I like the Valco Double Take Tandem, but DH thinks it looks like a bus *shrug*
We have a Duerto Swallow...but its a double side by side and love it. Hate tandems...dont look or feel safe, hate the stirring....

Aston is weaned... :( have very mixed emotions about it... part of me thinks - cool now dh and I can go away overnight, or for that matter I can, the other part of me thinks ohhhhh...my baby - my last baby is growing up. this last year went too quick.
I know what you mean Vicky Jakey has been weaned for a little while now and I miss those cuddles especially in the morning when we are both still sleepy. Now when he comes to bed he pulls my top down, lowers his head so his mouth is about to touch my nipple then looks at me and shakes his head - :lol: Jake not Darren! And he says nope shakes his head and then rests his head on my chest and gives me a cuddle... so sweet!
I know Tara I was really sick with both of my pg and Jake was until 16wks so I am actually blocking that bit out of my memory so ttc makes good sense ;) AND my sister was vomitting from go to woe - she was sick all day every day and I mean just before Josie came out she was chucking poor thing.

nelly I love it.... I love my pram... love love love. LOL I dunno, never thought I'd like a 3 wheeler, in fact when I had Matilda she went from sling to stroller... we had a huge second hand pram which we used in the house for a while... with Jovie we use the P&T & love it. I walk everywhere with the two girls in it as Matilda likes it too, so she's in it with Jovie to day care & back....did I mention we love it? :P

hey nelly i have been stalking the 1-6 month TTc thread and noticed your ? regarding cycles and DTD for a girl, i have to say although i know timing improves chances of gender we DTD the night before i ovulated and we had a girl!!!! i was expecting a boy (secretly reallllly wanted a girl) cycle day one for you would probably be the 25th, id get to know your CM if i were you, best way to see when your fertile!!! HTH
