GOD ladies what a chatty bunch.
Kim - you had us all in anticipation. you are naughty ;)
Tara- Ella loves to poo in the car too. But her fav place is to poo in the bath. :)
Nelly - cant wait to catch up. I've had my head caught up in work. Would be lovely to now look forward to doing something which isnt work related. PM me you number i'll SMS you mine. :)
Blanche - love your pink tummy. Its nice when its its a small size isnt it. I hated it when it got enormous. People would always comment on it.
Christy - what are the girls up to? Hope your doing well.
Well for us. We're doing well. Ella is teething again so is in tears a lot. I think its a molar, the gums are so swollen when i checked. She bit me when i stuck my finger in her mouth the little monster - she drew blood!
Jols - we have an eating monster here too. She just eats SOOO much. She has her breakfast of weetbix and fruit, then yoghurt. When i get my breakfast she shuffles over and helps herself to my toast!
YES ladies we are shuffling. She gets around by going onto her tummy, then sitting, then tummy, then commandoing a bit then stands up on something then walks over. She was chasing the vacuum cleaner this morning. It feels like she's getting faster at moving around coz i leave her on the floor and when i turn around she's right next to me in the kitchen!! LOL (with the proudest smile on her face)
Ella hasnt had boob before bed for the last 5days. I gave in one time and gave her one boob and she just melted into my arms. but since then she hasnt had it.
Tara - did you express to get rid of the excess milk?? I'm leaking! i didn't realise i had much left at all!
Ann
-
i leaked too ann... in fact I still could get a drop out 6 years after I stopped feeding Nathan!! so it doenst necessarily go. Have a lovely time with Nelly when you see her. Take photos!!!
-
I went to the chemist and got some Sage tablets, i took two a day for 3 days plus expressed a little in the shower on the first day and it dried up so fast it was incredible
-
Aw im happy'ish today....Craig never got home until 4am this morning..when he was ment to end at 5pm yesterday....something went wrong at work and couldnt leave til it was fixed..
Anyhow...they were so kind (being sacastic) and said he could have the day off...so he is home with us today!!! YAYAYAYYAY
Chelsea is being a lil bugger though...she stands on the lounge then hangs over the arm of the chair and rolls over the top....screaming...wont sleep....man i hate this age!
-
awww kim...yay on having craig home for the day. yuk on AF being here (but good too!) she is visiting me too at the moment, so I'm ur sister in pain hun. ughhhh
As for chelsea - she is testing boundaries hun... and is wanting different stimulation to what she used to have...which is kinda hard when u have a newborn too! Aston doesnt shut up all day, chatter chatter chatter and LOUDLY. he is really pinching laura too...and because she reacts so beautifully he thinks its a great game. I had to explain to her for the umpteenth time that he was doing it for the attention... any attention bad or good is better then nothing as far as he is concerned.
-
Oh yeah she is testing boundaries alright....ive never seen her bahve so badly the last 3 days before. I guess cos she only has me..no daddy...and she wants me to focus on her. I understand that..only wish she did too!
Chelsea is pinching too...loves doing it..or digs her nails into a blister i have on my foot that wont heal....
Finally after 45 mins of screaming she has gone to sleep!! yay
-
Hi again ladies... you are all on the ball today i see... will take me a while to catch up on all the reading LOL
My daughters name is Zoe .. was actually chosen just before her birth by her godfather... so will have to reserve "anastasia" for the next girl (hopefully)
How are we all today?
-
oh kim I hear you! I had one of those days yesterday! :hugs:
-
Anna i love ur DD name...as well as future girls name!! Very nice! I am well today thanks...feelign a little chatty though....i feel sorry for the thread today when im like this!! Im bound to run out of something to say :P
Those days suck Nelly...im over it already...thank god FDC saves me tmrw!!
Next week ive booked myself for some fun things. Oh and tmrw!
Tmrw im off to a gf's place....monday back tot he same gf's place (poor her). tues i have the stupid mental team back (weekly visits cos im a 'danger'), weds im meeting up with a lovely lady who has just joined BB and wants to catch up.
So something to look foreard..helps me focus!
-
forward momentum is brilliant Kim. Well done hun. make sure you reach over and pat yourself on the back!!
I have to organise to get my haircut! its driving me mad...(Iknow how many times have i said that!!!???) its just getting someone to watch aston while I'm at the hairdresser. Going to the hairdresser with a one year old is not my idea of relaxation! and my hairdresser only works mon to weds... and I'm so good at asking anyone to watch my kids...NOT. sigh. desperatly need some me time too.
-
Aw Vicky u def need you time..and haircuts are always great for relaxing...i love it! Can Dh take a day off so u can do it....it would have been nice if u could have done it while he was on home driving u insane!
-
I was labelled a "danger" by the CHN team at one stage too kim! :p
Vicky if I wasn't going away I'd make a play day and come and wrangle Aston while you get it done.
still procrastinating ..... and to add further to it we are going into the city to see a Dora sing a long session. ;)
-
If i was in QLD id take Aston...and maybe not give him back...J/K!!! :P
Its great being a danger huh...makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside!
-
Kim, yay for u having Craig home...hope u didnt stay awake till 4am though!? ive got Leigh home today hes got a sty in his eye and its almost fully closed LOL looks so funny, hes got some drops so hopefully they will help.
im stuck with 4 kids today arghhhhhhhh..got my 2 nephews and neice over, their mum gone to a funeral. atm they are sitting quietly watching high school musical 2 but can u guess whos being the little rascal and jumping all over them...Emelia loves her cousins!! even says Bayden now!
have a great day ladies
-
Nope i hit the sack at 230am....laid there til 3 15 and then dozed off....
How fun having 4 kiddies to mind today..lucky u. Hope Leighs gets better...!
-
u must be so tired..
make that 5 kids LOL cos Leigh is acting like a baby im nurse Blanche for the day !! y do men think everything is worse than it actually is?
-
5 is even worse!
Men have no idea of pain and sickness...so they play on it! No idea why...drives me insane...
Also..when they are sick we have tobend over backwards for them...but when its us..we still have to carry on as normal?
-
oh god how true!!! men are big babies when it comes to being sick...yet we soldier on! Rich said to me this morning "have some pain killers" hello honey - I can't have them unless I am going to bed, or there is another adult around. they knock me out!! Anyway....
-
lovely belly there Blanchie
oh come on Kim! you know you have us all in SSSSSSSSUSPENSE now!!!!
bilby is so on the verge of walking - no toddler proofing here yet - OMG we are going to get such a shock, correction, I am going to get a shock, cos i'll be the one going out of my mind all day long, trying to keep her out of drawers, cupboards etc. Every room is full of things she'd love to get into.
for carseats, i haven't had a poo blowout (thanks to our excellent pockets) but i figure there's always going to be a first time, i think i would cover the seat in 1.5m of polar fleece before i would go the plastic. Or PUL, yeh, a custom made version of our mattress mat that we had for the nb stage (bottom layer PUL, middle layer something absorbent, upper layer microfleece). That was a great mat for nappy free time when she was a nb. I should transfer the idea to teh carseat - esp when toilet training starts i'd imagine. I actually feel SAFE now with the nappies, i can control that, but when TT starts, i think that's when i will learn the true meaning of cleaning up poo!!!
Passes vicky a lovely cointreau truffle to ease the AF cramps.
bilby is doing so many cute and funny things right now, it's like we now have a little person around, although still too much shrieking going on.
where are you Ann?
-
Hello girls!!
LOL at bilby's shrieking how cute and yet... how loud.
Jovie's been protesting a lot lately. She's been banging her head on the ground when I say "no" she starts by yelling at me & then lightly tapping her head on the ground & looking to see what I do, and when I don't react she keepings banging lightly & will mess up and suddenly hit it hard. I give her a cuddle & she still settles down & then tries to get what she originally wanted to start with  I call her cheeky, but I can imagine it would be annoying if it gets worse. At this age Matilda was throwing herself back and landing on her head when I said No, so this is cute in comparison LOL.
She's very into food... always walks up to the pantry & stands there pointing at it while saying "uh uh uh" over and over again until someone reacts. If you pick her up & open the doors she will point to where the lollies are hiding  just like her sister although much younger. Matilda didn't have anything with processed sugar in it until she was 18 months old... I was pretty anal about things. With Jovie... bah.... whatever :D.
The girls just gave each other a kiss & cuddle... too cute!
Kim... hope things work out! It would be great to meet you as well in person.
-
all i can say is i am glad today is over.
these freakin teeth are driving me mental
wheres jols with her always ready stash of alcohol when i need her
-
Cant believe someone sent me this on facebook, the timing is uncanny...especially for you Blanche
go to YouTube and search for 'man cold' its from man stoke woman apparently
-
i know Tara ive seen them ones before, so true though!!
-
OMG tara we are in the same boat. Ella's top canines came through last week and her molar are now pushing through and it's driving her crazy. She would just scream for no good reason.
Bonjela and Nurofen and she's off to sleep.
Gigi - I'm here! Did bilby crawl? How did you get away without baby proofing?? I invite other people over with kids and i watch what they get into so i know what i need to baby proof. They are test driving our place LOL!
Christy - Poor little thing on banging her head. Ella doesnt do that she just screams and REAL tears stream down her face. I stay firm but i know my MIL and DH gives in. They must think i'm a hard mum. oh well.
Anyway gotta go to bed. Tis almost midnight and i'm exhausted from a day of shrieking.
G'night
Ann
-
oh Ann, your sig pic of Ella's legs, that's SOOOO cute!
yes bilby is crawling everywhere, i contain her in a 2metres by one metre playpen. but we desperately need to baby proof the unit.
don't know what happened with my last reply, it appeared PAGES after where i posted it - so that's why it woulnd't have made any sense
2.30am and this little room is stifling, i'm sweating just sitting at the computer - 41 today and still feels like it! we went to the pool this afternoon, with a mum and bub from our MOnday playgroup, that was lovely, getting to know her one on one, our mother's group is so organised, we never get a chance to just chat to each other there, so you go away not really feeling like you get to build a relationship with anyone - just talking about our babies.
Vicky - i feel the same way about going to the GP and the dentist - i put it off cos i don't know what i'll do with bilby for that time. Was sure i could go when dh had ten days off work over xmas, but looking after stepdaughter took so much energy, my going to a gp and dentist didn't get a look in.
Blanche - looking after all those kids when you're not feeling well? you champion - or did you get roped into it?
bilby finally went down at 2am tonight - daddy and her lay down in the playpen, in the lounge with a/c going - i thought she'd NEVER go down!!! Really thought going to the pool would tucker her out, but no. Gave her gripe water and panadol around 1am, at our wits end! Other babies go down for the night at 7, 8pm!!!
off to hang out washing, put another load on, have some more iced coffee to keep going.
What you said about not giving Matilda lollies for 18 months Christy, i feel the same way, but i realised yesterday, usgiving bilby half custard and half savoury solids (just to get it down her) - is prolly JUST as bad as lollies - i bet vanilla custard is very much sweetened. She is STILL not one bit interested in finger food or the sippy cup! not fading away, looks fine, but eats purreed and mashed food like a much younger bub,
Kim - it's very hard to get help for PND i agree. What rotters Craig's work are, for keeping him there til 4am!!! that's criminal!
-
Gigi - i love her chubba legs....delicious ;)
WE had a big fall today (again). Ella was cruising the furniture and wanted to go from the coffee table to the table legs. She didnt make it and fell with a big thud on the floor boards. Poor thing. (she got a BF to calm her down).
Having some problems staying determined about stopping the BF...as you can see. ah well. It will happen soon.
She's doing this funny thing. She'll be standing with her hands on the sofa or table and then she lets go! She stands on her own for about 2secs and she laughs..! what's that all about????
Ann
-
clever girl ella! that's what she is telling you Ann - how clever am I mummy? lol. don't beat yourself up about giving up, or not giving up breast feeding ann... do it when ella is ready, if your not ready to give up. Aston was ready to give up, he stop looking for it. I gave him a breast feed the early morning a couple of days ago for relief for me... but he hasn't looked for it... I think the only reason he had it was because he was sleepy...and he only had one side, so it wasnt a real feed.
-
Gigi, i got roped in! never again am i doing that! i dont know how i would have went on my own..thankfully Leigh was home.
Wat time does Bilby wake up in the morning? lately Emelia doesnt go to bed till 9.30-10pm cos of day light savings she wont stay asleep for long if its still sunny outside!! but works out alright cos then she sleeps till about 8-9am
Ann - wow Ella is going great, she will be running soon watch out.. poor darling falling though. i cant keep count how many times Emelia falls over lol we went through one week where she had little bruises all over her face i dont even want to know wat ppl thought!! but shes a climber (dont where she got that from!)
Vicky- how u going?
Kim - have a great time at ur girlfriends place.
Tara- how u feeling today??
Christy - Emelia is terrible when i say no/take something off her she will go all stiff and stamp her feet, throw her fists around and scream i have no idea how to get her out of it..
woke up this morning to a big thud and a bang on the door, i was like WTF and then i heard a car door shut and drive away..opened the door and there was a parcel for me, (books from Sushee) but scared the cr#p outta me cos i didnt want to open the door..i would have scared them away hehehe
-
well I have finally packed and am ready to go - Jake had a ***** night last night so I am really looking forward to this week!
Jake has started throwing himself on the ground and lays flat when he chucks a hissy, and this morning has managed to put my wireless mouse, the TV remote and my deodorant all in the cat's FULL water bowl. Lovely child.
I will be a little scarce but hopefully can jump on one of my sister's macbooks when I am at her place. And I will see Ann on Friday!
Have a lovely week all and I will try to stick my head in! xoxox
-
see you Nelly.
I found links to nude pictures of Linsay Lohan on our computer....
-
oh dear ann... i'm gathering that by the ... and nothing further that your not very happy about that. am I interperting that right?
-
She isnt even worth looking at clothed..let alone naked!!
Ann isnt happy!!! Tsk Tsk hubby :P
Qu:
How do i stop Chelsea pulling her arms out of the car seat straps?????????????? Its really worrying me when we are driving
-
i agree with u there Kim!!
-
can u tighten the straps anymore, wat a cheeky girl!! i have heard of a harness clips that can clip the 2 straps together infront of her, but not sure where u can get them from
-
The straps are sooo tight yet she still manages to get her arms out...ive managed to control 1 arm....but she can still get the other out.
She is very cheeky...does it in the pram...and in the highchair (then slides out from under the tray....). She is a monkey and a handful since Jas came :(
-
:hug:Ann... I would be very very cranky with that.
Kim, I tied a string around the straps higher up so there is a strap across her lap, two going down over her shoulders & then a string in front of her upper abdomen. Thats the only way I could keep Matilda's arms in at this age.
Nelly I hope you have a great trip!
Blanche, with Matilda, she used to fall backwards & scream and scream and it was awful. I've learnt to try to nip it in the bud, catch them before they lose it. But its hard when its something they aren't allowed (like the lollies) so I usually will give her one and then put her down & when she "uh uh uh" for more I say "No lovely only one" and she bangs her head... LOL today I just put a tea towel down under her head because she's got a bruise there now. And I walk away or try to distract her with something else.
-
Yep not happy.
Spoke to a gay friend and he said "forget it. ALL men do it. If they say they arent they are lying." Apparently all men fantasise (sp??) Even Elle McPherson's boyfriend fantasizes about other women.... that's what he said.
So i'll have a chat to DH. Yeah i'm P***ed off! Its his birthday on Saturday so i apparently have "take it easy on him".
Ann
