I have returned...will tell all of my trip tmrw...need sleep!!!
-
Arrggh! that teething monster!! Just when sleep seems "all sorted" it goes pear shaped! anyways, she went back to sleep at 830 this morning then woke up straight away doing that horrible scream like shes in so much pain but went back to sleep with a cuddle...i hope it makes her feel better and we have a happy day :(
BTW Welcome back Kim! and Ahoy Nelly!
-
All good here. Chelsea has a damn cold however. She is at FDC today and Jasmine is napping.
Our trip away was fantastic....i didnt want to leave and got very teary. Saturday was family day and the girls cousins (from USA) loved them....chels and Alexia were playing together, down at the beach, in the park..was great. Saturday night Craig and i went to Nelson Bay and had Hogs Breath for tea....then went for a drive round. Sunday we got to meet up with some friends for morning tea. For the rest of the day the girls were grouches and we just rested. Monday we had to leave.
As for the flights :wall::wall::wall:
On the way up: Flew Jetstar, Flight was delayed. Ment to leave at 11.15.....we left at 11.50..and we never got to Newcastle until 1.35. The girls screamed the whole way, Chelsea threw her dummy so we lost it, her ears were killing her and couldnt control her. Jasmine wasnt much better.
On the way home: Flew Tiger Airways, Flight was delayed. Ment to leave at 3.45, we left at 4.15. The girls were awesome. Jasmine slept, Chelsea sat on her own seat and ripped up their magazine (opps!). However...when we arrived at Melbourne. You had to walk miles form the plane (had no walk way, had to use stairs) then you go to this dingey baggage collection area, then walk mies again to the carpark. By then i was stuffed, no pram, 2 tired and hungry kids, and far to much walking. AND it was raining!!!
So based on that we are NEVER flying Tiger again purely cos of the dumb airport set up they have!!!
So...How is everyone!!?
-

Thats great you have a date set now Blanche....now you know time will be exciting....Jack will be here before yu know it! Its ok to be scared.... *hugs*
-
One week blanche and you will have your little man in your arms!! Remember what I said - focus on the outcome, get Leigh to talk to you, and look at you, stroke you head, hold you hand, whatever is going to make you feel ok... and breathe. visualise holding your litle man in your arms.
-
At least you can prepare yourself a bit more now Blanche, and Emelia too. It must be a bit relieving to know when it will happen. It'll all be fine, it always is
-
Vicky - thanks once again for all ur help...i told ya Leigh would want to ask if he can watch the whole thing lol i told him to basically to go get f*****! and that he will be concentrating on me!
Emelia been abit grumpy the last few days, stupid teeth she went from 6 to almost 12 now in a matter of 3 months so thats been fun!!
better go she is still a unhappy chappy today she just threw her dummy at me !!!
-
Blanche - I have a cranky one here too today. Aston just came up and hit me several times! So I picked him up and sat him on the floor up against the wall, and did a super nanny on him. waited a minute, then went back and said no hitting mummy, kiss and cuddles.
Think he is cranky at me because I went out last night to the Foo Fighters concert - which was brilliant! Was good to be out doing something that was all about me. Are very very tired today though - can't rock like I used to lol. So Aston and I will be having a quiet day at home today.
Taralee - your on the down hill stretch now hun! How you feeling?
We have been a quiet bunch in here of late... me included. Hope all are well.
I get my car back tomorrow YeeHaw! Christy, I was talking to Nelly - you up to a meet up at northlakes late next week?
-
Blanche - you go girl! tell that fiance of yours to focus focus focus!
Vicky - i luuurve the foo! must have been fantastic! i went to the pearl jam concert when i was 38wks pg with evie (i am seriously in love with eddie vedder and dh and i have an understanding that its not classed as cheating should anything happen LOL) - anyways my back was so sore the whole way through the concert i thought i was in labour so probably didnt enjoy it as much as i couldve! lol i learnt my lesson
Going well here, evie's sleeping through most nights, she's teething a bit but she's just such a beautiful kid, empties the dishwasher, loads and unloads the washing machine, helps me hang it out lol shes my helper monkey!
better go nap while evie's asleep
ciao bellas

Nelly & Vicky - Sure! Next week...Tuesday/wednesday is good for me, I know its not late in the week... :( I hope we can do it!
Happy 18 mths Soph!
Jovie's been a righteous turd the past few days. Whinging, crying... its driving me mad. Her canine lower teeth have cut in the wrong place. Instead of up at the top of the gums, they've cut outwards halfway down the gum. It looks so painful. I have to get her into a paediatric dentist....She won't drink or eat or take panadol or neurophen or the homeopathic drops. Its just sad.
-
Beans.....what beans :p
Happy 18 months Sophie...and congrats on BF too Jols!
Ouch Christy...sounds painful, Poor Jovie
I have a good helper too...only she does the opposite to what i want....ie unpacks folded clothes, unpacks cupboards, pulls dirty washing out of the basket and all over the house LOL
Chelsea has started trying to feed Jasmine (who has not yet started solids) with her imaginary food and big girl spoons...poor Jas screams. Or she tries picking her up, realising Jas is to heavy, and drops her on the floor like her dolls...*sigh* she really does love Jas alot!
-
you know !!!! teaser you!!!
-
oh please Kim no teasing lol!!!
happy 18mnths Sophie and woo hoo on the BF Jols well done!
Poor Jovie, i really do hate teeth!

-
Kim - Beans? I'd love beans but got no beans myself. GRrrrrr why so hard this time??
Blanche - whoah what a fast pregnancy. Yooohoo baby almost time to say hi.
Christy - Poor Jovie. All of Ella's teeth have come out now. We've been lucky they came through quickly and without much fuss. The only thing is...her top teeth are all really short. I wonder its because of the dummy...
Vicky - what is on Aston's head?
Gigi, Nelly any news?
Ann
-
Ohhh Ann i hope some beans come your way soon then....did you have much trouble with Ella?
-
Ann - its tupperware lettuce crisper on Aston's head. There is a video on my facebook funwall of him wearing it. He was so funny.
-
Kim - you are such a tease! look at your ticker?!! no wondering Jols was keen to find out about the beans.
Ella has been good. A bit clingy but that's probably because she's been at daycare 3 weeks in a row coz she's not been sick! Ella's now completely feeding herself. Just try and feed her and she just yells at you to "BACK OFF". Cereal, yoghurt, fruit and pasta..whatever she does it all herself. The mess is enourmous. We're using bibs with buckets.
-
Everyone wants to know the beans!!! Including myself :P
Does Ella like care? Wow on feeding
If only Chelsea would feed herself....she tries but then gets angry cos nothing makes it in her mouth...poor bubby
-
well i ain't got no beans, but i don't mind a mean spicy lentil dish!
vicky - aston is such a classic - my theory is, he's the youngest in a family of multiple kids, so he's learning quicksmart, how to entertain everyone and get attention! he's smart AND funny!!
bilby is NOT "helping" me with any housework - she creates mess and havoc wherever she toddles - the clothes horse is off limits to her, i have a barrier up - i bet she would have all the clean washing ON THE FLOOR if i let her anywhere near it.
today, she lasted half the supermarket time IN the trolley, first on the seat, then in the actual trolley, but kept wanting to stand up - i had bags in there to cushion it for her, but wasn still worried about her falling. Then she tantrummed to be OUT of the trolley. I had the koala harness on her, so she coudln't go far, then she got BEHIND the trolley and started PUSHING it around the supermarket! including past where i wanted to stop and pick up items, and kept pushing when i stopped to let people thru etc - it was like having an ENGINE in the trolley - i coudnl't totally control it, cos she wouldn't stop pushing. Then we got to teh checkout - the trollley DID stop - cue another tantrum - cos she coudln't keep pushing.
dh had his sleep apnoea/ plastic surgery/nose reconstruction this morning, and we visited him in ICU this evening - bilby would not sit on his bed, go near him, just kept looking at his tubes, wires to his chest, bandages, o2 mask, monitors etc - looking a bit scared - Who is this man? that's not my daddy!! I'm so relieved the surgery has finally been done - he's needed it for six years.
went to my first PND support group today - have been wanting this for 17 months, really glad i went - finally there is one with space for me, and it's not too far away petrol wise. well run and nice group of other mums, there's a creche and a mix of healthy nibbles and nice but norty stuff. and guess what, for a change, i wasn't the only one BF-ing!!! so nice not to be the only one, like usual for me in these situations.
Christy - poor Jovie's teeth! hope you have a good dentist who is kid friendly!
LUAA - that's amazing Ella has all her teeth already, how many is that exactly? See how differnt they all are! bilby only has eight.
Maybe next time you visit your dentist, ask about the short aspect to get your mind put at rest.
HAPPY 18 MONTHS SOPHIE!!!
-
Gigi- so glad the group was good and u feel comfortable there. lol at Bilby pushing the trolley that would have been so cute to see. we are having a hard time with Emelia when we go shopping she only wants to go in the actual trolley and stand at the end and stand like shes on the front of the titanic!!! so of course she has to either sit down or hop out "no" shes says so then out she gets and then we have a huge tantrum and then everyone looks at me like im killing my child cos she is sooooooo loud!!!
Glad ur DH operation went well. how long does he have to stay in hospital?
Emelia likes to help with housework too, sometimes she is helping but other times shes making more mess! but she knows where te rubbish bin is and putsher rubbish in there so cute!
have a great wkend everyone
-
aston is a little helper too... likes to help laura put the washing on the clothes horse - will pick a piece out of the basket, and shake it, hang it up, take it off, shake it again, hang it up. Very cute. will get his vacuum out and vacuum when I am, fold up the washing.
Gigi - glad the the support group was a good experience. There is nothing like feeling that sense of belonging, and not having to constantly explain yourself, that people get "it" without all the words in between. How's DH going now? My DH is very very sore, and very nervous and anxious about potentially having a op.
I think your right about Aston too - he is too clever for his own good. He has started having some lovely little tanties, and I have started putting him in the corner when he is naughty. He is so funny, because he will sit there, get up, see me, and go running back and sit down again. I only leave him there for 30 seconds, but he knows that for whatever reason he has been put there, that it was a not ok thing to do. He level of understanding freaks me out sometimes.
