    Hey all :waves:

I'm still in Sydney, the funeral for FIL was Wednesday and we will stay here until Monday. We had no $$ and had to wait for payday to be able to get a return ticket back to Brissy. So today is my birthday & DH is going to his Mum's to help organise stuff & move things back where she wants them & then we may get to go out this arvo. We have a babysitter so we can have some time this arvo. We are going to just make it a no grieve zone for a few hours.

Blanche I understand, it feels so awful. I know with FIL we knew it was happening. He held on for such a long time with a horendous disease... it doesn't make it any easier. He had motor neuron disease.

I can't remember anything else, I only just read it too.... D'oh. Sorry girls I feel so slack with being sick & now helping DH deal with his fathers death.... its a lot to keep on top of.

Happy Birthday Christy! you just take care of yourself, we'll hold the fort here. hope you had a good day

Jealous Jols! send a non-alcoholic (blech!) glass my way!
Kim -jealous again!!!!! oh i soooooo need a massage. we have a beautiful big spa at our house but i'm too scared to use it! i think i've used it twice in the year that we lived here..the last time was the night before i went into labour with evie....go figure!

Not a lot going on here....evie's happy so i'm happy. i've managed to do lots of cooking the last few days - evie seems secure enough in her new home that she'll busy herself while i'm busy. shes just found a torch so thats keeping her ever so amused!!

Gigi - i was thinking about you today, when you said you don't do a lot of cooking is it because you're too tired or bilby is too much of a handful. i couldnt do anything cos evie was so clingy but i gave her some cooking utensils like a sieve and plastic spoons and metal bowls and she was happy "copying mummy" - have you tried something like that? i just know how much better u can feel if you can get something done!!!

Happy Birthday Christy - you're not slack, you're full on doing the best you can. Condolences to you for your FIL's passing.

Blanche, how is your gran doing?

Kim - that full body massage sounds like a perfect tonic for stressed out mummies everywhere, Craig is very good with gift selection.

We survived a Fairy Bread Zone yesterday, a one year old's birthday party, exhausting trying to keep the under twos safe from the extrememly boisterous much bigger kids. I got the Fairy skirt i'd been making for the little girl's present done, really simple for a proper crafty person, but a real achievement for someone like me who is just learning.

TaraLee - i'm not cooking cos i feel overwhelmed and yes, am constantly tired, keep getting sick too. We have a tiny kitchen and very often there is no free counter space to even spread some toast, let alone prepare/cut up vegies etc. (I would love to cook some stirfry veg n noodles). It's a really tiny kitchen, i cannot keep up with the dishes. Dh cooks sausages and veg and uses ALOT of dishes to do that and spreads them all out and leaves them on the stovetop. So i guess if i walked into a clear space with ROOM to cook, i would stand a better chance. I've had a brain injury so get overwhelmed quite easily, lose focus, i need no distractions to get things done. So just bilby grizzling in the background can put me off. Pathetic huh, i realise no kid is going to keep quiet and amuse themselves, i wish i could block it out. I have some physical problems too, so sometimes i am not able to grasp objects safely enough to cook safely. I reserve my strength for holding the squimy and throw herself back alot bilby, she seems to need picking up alot, my wrists go click click alot.

By the time i have done three loads of dishes to clear some space, it's 10pm and i'm too exhausted to think about cooking by then.

On Thursday, i had an opportunity to go and buy fruit and veg (parenting support volunteer offered to stay with bilby at a playground for an hour so i could go and shop), so i rushed and got $40 worth of fresh stuff. So nice to have that in the house again. I really crave salad vegies esp. Has been months and months since a proper f&v shop like that has happened. We've been buying say, five bananas with the supermarket shop, and potatoes, pumpkin but not much more than that.

    hidey ho girlie girls...

ughh I have a hangover - I drank a bottle of bubbles last night pretty much by myself - the friend that was supposed to be sharing them with me piked.

have a confession to make - i have been peaking for the last week because AF was late... was giving myself til monday, and then if still no show was getting a test. She arrived yesterday - with a BANG! Now I'm not sure if I'm relieved, disappointed or a combo of the both. Must be all this talk about babies, and getting pregnant that is doing it to me.

Had a great day at the party yesterday - aston loved it, and had way too much cr@p. good thing it doesnt happen very often!! It was nice to be out in the sunshine playing.

Hope everyone has a lovely day. Think i'm going to lay down for bit. pathetic eh

Nice one Vicky - nothing like a good hangover to help with that PMS lol, hope you pull up alright..from both
Gigi - I'm sorry, i didnt realise you had other issues (for want of a better word)...must have been great for you to get out and get some shopping done.
I've been craving fruit and vegies too lately, and now today i've come down with a sore throat...so looks like my body was telling me something!
I'm so stoked, i made shepherd's pie and evie ate it!!! woo-hoo! hurrah! maybe i can stop buying all that tinned stuff and she'll finally eat something i cook for dinner! we've worked out she's a bit of a social eater and really just grazes all day...eating what we eat and eating while doing a multitude of other things. so i think i am all out of things to stress about....until she gets to 2 and i decide it's no-more-dummy time!

    Hows the hangover today Vicky?

    Welcome home Nelly!

Its mad house here. Chelsea is being the temper tantrum queen the last week, Just does them at the drop of a hat....no reason ever behind them...driving me bonkers.

Jasmine has finally cut her first tooth!! I seen 3 lines...1 has popped...1is just under the gum and the others looks like its disappearing! Chelsea is always biting things so im sure her tooth will cut soon! Tried jas on solids yesterday....was getting the better of Craig so i gave in....SHE HATED IT! Wouldnt open her mouth...when she did spat it out and refused. So yay....we get to wait longer now!!

Not that Jas needs more then milk...weighed them both on Saturday... Jasmine is 9.3kg (eeeek) and Chelsea is 11.3kg....2 kg difference!!
