lol gigi! If I'm not careful I'll put those 2 pregnancies worth of weight I lost after Jake back on!

    I succeeded!!!

I have separated the eggs successfully with no fingers in them ( don't ask me how my fingers get in there I am just unco) using my great little tupperware egg separator! Pavlova is in the oven just need a recipe for the yolks now. Any ideas? There are 4 and I really don't feel like making custard!

OK the Pav was a huge success, the sponge was a bit firm but looked pretty good for my first attempt, and most of the goodies I baked are almost all gone! I ended up making a Key lime PIe - beat the eggs with a tin of condensed milk and 125ml lime juice and baked it in a shortcrust base. Am Doing the turkey today to have cold tomorrow and preparing my roast veges... oh and making a trifle too for the thing we are going to tonight.

My aunt and uncke (mum's sister) came over last night and they had a grand time with Jake. They tried IVF for over 10 years with no success so I love to see them with Jake. Theirs is also one of the only places he will happily sleep over at too which is nice to have - I am thankful that they are closer now we have moved. I forget sometimes when I lament no family how lucky I am to have them. They had a ball and Jake handed out their pressies then proceeded to unwrap them for them lol. I've told him if he sleeps in his big bed all night tonight he gets to open all of the presents tomorrw and his little face lit up.... I will probably wake up in the morning and there will be paper EVERYWHERE lol.

Merry Christmas girls - when I am lamenting no family I am also grateful that I found you all my cyber family! Be safe and take care of yourselves!

Hey I just realised I'm halfway today too!!!!

    Your very chipper Nelly noo.

I'm sitting here wishing I was still asleep. I didn't go to bed until one, was watching a movie, and then was woken at 5.40am by a smelly bottomed boy! I hate having insomnia. If I try to go to bed earlier I lay and toss and turn, and keep DH awake. so I stay up until I'm really tired, and know that I will fall asleep quickly. only problem with that one is that I'm shattered in the day because of the early starts. oh boo hoo to me.

I can't believe its christmas tomorrow....

V bigs hugs! Make sure you nap when Aston does - the big kids are big enough to look after themselves for a couple of hours - so is Richard! And no scratching that itch it is purely nap time

I was thinking just then in the shower why am I so chipper lately.... not sure ... maybe bcos I've made some decisions and put some demons to rest, stopped feeling guilty about being a working mummy, hmmm.... it may even be bcos I have gone to bed at 830 the last 2 nights and even though we've had 2 wake ups the have been relatively quick (esp when DH goes to him) we've all gone back to sleep. Forgot how sleep deprivation can drag you down... have to enjoy it while I can lol!! Plus I love baking and making some of mums fave xmas recipes has made me feel she's a bit closer.

Aw thats lovely for you Nelly, theres nothing better than a bit of clarity
Vicky - i'm a bit like that too, but i've found lately if i take my phone to bed i 'play' word puzzles games and stuff and that knocks me out instantly. worth a try?
We have a big Christmas Eve dinner at our place every year and i've just made the desert and i'm trying to get the motivation up to clean. but its hot and i seem to have developed an allergy to something lately - itchy eyes, nose and ears - driving me mental!!!
    anyways
    Have a wonderful Christmas everyone!!
