OMG OMG OMG We have our first tooth  Ok so prob not that exciting to everyone but with all the teething poor Molly has done its about time. Its only just through but IT is def there. I dont think her other one is too far away either. Also my other little brag is she can now clap. Still not moving but after seeing my CHN i'm not worried as she is not behind she is doing well. She will sit unattended for almost an hour now before wanting to be picked up but will only last a minute on her tummy....Lazy bones i tell ya :cryinglaugh: Still doing the same things with sleep and food so not much to tell there.
June- its comforting to know that Jacob is not too fussed about moving either. Hope you enjoyed your time with you IL's even if it was cold.
DB- I cant believe how much Caden is doing YAY for you both it must be lovely. He sounds very similar to Mia at that age. By 9 months Mia was walking holding hands and coasting around however she still actually didnt walk alone til almost 14 months. Molly says Mumumumum but only when she is grumpy and not really in context but will say Dadadadad when she is happy.
Ok ladies hoping you all have a good week.
-
Hoody - it is interesting as everyone says Caden will be walking soon. He kind of lept ahead really quickly, from being almost the last bub in my mothers group to crawl, to now being one of the most mobile. Even now he stands by himself for a few seconds, or will slap his one hand on a surface while balancing there for a bit. He will walk holding the laundry basket with one hand, which is so cute until he runs it into a wall or something (doesn't know how to steer yet :)). Sometimes when he is walking holding my hands, there is hardly any pressure there, like I am more for reassurance or something. I do hope he will walk soon TBH as I think he will be happier to be able to get to places faster. He just likes being upright and is so keen on trying to walk. Here's hoping I guess (may live to regret this...). Yay on the tooth by the way!
June - sorry to hear bubs was unsettled. They are definitely going through a real "precious" phase at present. Just the other day I had my mum and sis over and he was really clingy and whingy, even in his own home. I was surprised cos normally he is ok, but the separation anxiety kind of comes and goes I think.
As for us, Caden had his first day in daycare today :( He did SO well, and was playing happily when I left him. I phoned twice and once he was asleep, the other playing again and had eaten lunch, so that made me feel heaps better. I can't believe how much I missed him though and was so excited to see him at the end of the day! It was almost a physical ache which only eased when I saw his little face smiling at me. I am glad it went well, I am sure not everyday will be as easy, but at least I know he is in good hands. It was also nice to get some work done and be a "professional" for a while, even though there was plenty of baby talk to go around!
He has also gone up to the Toddler nappy size, my lil baby is becoming a lil boy! :( The others were just getting too small and having too many explosions.
Also, one tooth almost through again, so that will make 7. This one doesn't seem to bother him that much though, whew!
Ok, gotta go join DH in bed now, signing off!
-
Congrats on the tooth Hoody!!! Yay!!! I'm hoping after this one comes through (it's almost there, come on you little white pointy evil b*st*rd) we have a break for a while. Three years would be nice... ;)
-
Suse - I keep telling myself that, after this one... I looked at the teething chart I am keeping on Caden and pretty much the last 3 months he has cut a tooth every 25th day of the month! LOL,
Hope all is well
-
OK so i think the tooth is still working its way through we have had a terrible day  It has definately broken through you can see and feel it but she is still having all the teething signs really bad. I put her down about 6 times today but she didnt sleep at all. I ended up having to give her some nurofen at 6pm and she went down ok. I'm hoping our night is better. Well it should be as she should be tired from today :cryinglaugh:
DB- Glad work and daycare went well. Cant wait to catch up on Wed it will be so nice to put a face to the name. I will have to try not to call you DB though :cryinglaugh:
Suse- thanks for the congrats. Hope you are well.
Twinsis, Melz, June and everyone else hope you are all well.
-
Hoody - heh heh about calling me DB! I will wonder who you are talking to...
Daycare went well. He did end up with a bruise on his head but he always falls down anyway so I am sure he would have tumbled even if at home. I have an appointment Mnonday with a Family Day Care lady, so hopefully she will be suitable and I will feel better having a more long-term solution. I mean, childcare is great, but it is a bit too impersonal IKYWIM.
DH and I have discussed some serious issues lately and he feels he spends too much time "babysitting" Caden. I sort of feel the same, as it is not as if I am leaving them to have quality time, it is like I am leaving DS with a babysitter, not his father. We have adjusted our decision to have DH look after him Fridays when I go back to work, and instead will work MOnday, Tuesday and Thursday, and both have Fridays off with Caden. It means Caden will be in childcare 3 days a week instead of 2, but hopefully will be less stressful for DH and we will still get a day together (DH has own business and weekends are busiest for him). AND if I get a good family day care person then I will be less stressed about leaving him with someone else.
So anyway, will see how we go. I had to be so honest with DH about my feelings, because I really feel we have grown apart and that sometimes I feel like a single mother. He is so unattached to Caden and often seems resentful, and I run around expending lots of energy trying to "sell" Caden to him all the time and make it sound as if everything is rosy. I try to take lots of the pressure off DH but then I have to leave DS with him sometimes cos I have things I need to do and there is noone else to rely on to take him. Then Caden will be unhappy and cry and DH just can't handle it and I run around making excuses for Caden and getting angry at DH for being so immature! Whew! Sorry, had to get that off my chest. I am seeing a psychologist and she is great at helping me get things into perspective. I don't want to lose DH but sometimes I just wish he was a better man, ya know? I can't make him stronger or more able to cope, but I can't help but wish he was less selfish and immature. It is like raising two boys sometimes, and I thought DH was better than that.
Ok, no more negativity, better go, off to a girl lunch and then out for a hens night tonight so have got some hot pink pants to wear and hopefully (without wedding ring and child attached) will have a great night!
-
Hi Girls,
Wow can't believe all the stuff that has been happening (yeah yeah it has been a long time), so am hoping that you will forgive the lack of personals, otherwise you will never hear from me as there is too many to note.. :p
DB - my DH often felt like he was 'babysitting' Kimmy when I left them together but after our trip away, he is a changed man.. Suppose there is no escaping in a caravan. He was always good with her, but felt that I knew everything and made him insecure. He soon learnt that I guess a lot of the time till something worked, so hang in there..
And welcome Mummy Melz..
Well in our world, kimmy is still trying to crawl, and I am happy to keep it that way!! She has started to pull herself up on things while we were away and now has 6 teeth. We were really lucky and she adapted to sleeping in the van straight away, and we had a great time, although I was starting to miss my space at home after about 3 weeks, but otherwise was all good.
There is so much I could write, but really need to get an earlish night as I have somehow agreed to look after my cousin's daughter on Tuesdays and Wednesdays for a few weeks. I actually feel sorry for her cause she is only 4 and has just relocated from the UK last month. She was going to 2 daycares as she couldn't get into 1 for the full week, and was making herself physically sick about going to one of them, so I was asked to look after her. She isn't much hassle, but as my DH isn't too involved with other kids and feels that she takes our time together away.. I just can't win, but as he is away for 2 weeks with the boys, I see it as tough luck.. Anyhow, will run for now, but promise I will come in a little more often to say hi!!
Take care
Heather
P.S. Can't update photo till DH comes home with camera so I can download some more photos.. :wall:
-
Just wanted to quickly get on and say I am still alive. Have had no time to get on lately. DH has been really sick this week so has been no use around the house at all. Jacob has been teething again. He as ok with tooth no.3, but his fourth one is really messing him around. He has been sleeping pretty well during the night, but has been pretty grizzly during the days. I am not feeling the best either, but of course, no rest for mummy :).
Off to Melbourne tomorrow for four days which I am looking forward to, just hope no-one gets sicker than they are now. I might have to go and buy some of those ear plug thingos so my sinuses don't get blocked on the plane.
Hmm, all i've done is whinge, thats not good. Its not all bad, just feeling a bit sorry for myself.
Welcome back Heather, can't wait to see some photos!!
-
Welcome back Heather. You sure were missed its sooooo quiet in here at times. Glad you sound like you enjoyed your trip it would have been awesome.
June- Sorry to hear you have a sick househould. I hope by the time you return from Melb that everyone is on the mend. There is nothing worse than a sick family.
DB- thankyou for coming to see me this morning it was lovely to put a face to the name. Caden is so adorable- you must be so proud. I hope his bruise doesnt get any worse. I feel so guilty about DD1 been rough but i just dont know what to do with her. Its so hard when they are 2 i tell ya.
Melz- Sorry you didnt make it i hope your sister is ok. We can always catch up another day. Hows Ryley going anyway? Good i hope.
Well not much to tell here Molly is still teething madly i think no 2 will show its pointy white head in a couple of days. I cant complain too bad apart from super red cheeks and been a little bit clingier she isnt too fussed about it iykwim. Take care all.
-
Hoody - It was fantastic to be able to put a face to lots of words, LOL. Molly is even cuter in person that she is on the pic, I told DH that she looks like a little doll. Makes me want a baby girl now...heh heh. Caden's head is fine, just a small bruise. He now has 3, one almost gone, one purple (from yesterday) and one red (from this morning). Believe it or not, he is actually pretty good on his feet and manages to prevent most major mishaps. It is just the one or two every couple of days that keeps the bumps on his head, poor thing.
Heather - great to have you back after your hol! Can't wait to see pics also.
June - Hope you enjoy your trip. For sinus I usually take the demazin decongestants (I use these when scuba diving). They last ages and together with some cough lollies and lots of sucking on the way down, maybe even some chewing gum, I have managed to keep the ear-pressure at bay. I used to do fly in fly out on a mine site so I had to get really good at popping my ears. They are tricky and I have always had problems with them, but nothing a bit of preparation can't fix. As for bub, Caden is the same, he seems more grizzly with the left side of his mouth, rather than the right. He gets all the usual symptoms, but no screaming sessions for some reason. I think I am the opposite, as in when I go to the dentist, it is my left side that always aches heaps more than the right.
As for us, ticking along wonderfully. Caden is in daycare today so I have a chance to get some work done and some study completed (hence I am wasting time on line, heh heh). I have organises family day care with a lovely lady starting next Thursday, so am relieved that I have a longer term option than standard day care. It is not that the ABC isn't good, but I have had a lot of advice saying family day care is the way to go, so thought I would use it.
Well, better go do some work! Have a great week everyone!
-
Hi Girls,
I am so lonely without DH at home :(.. We swear that every time we have a holiday apart it will never happen again, but it has... :wall:
Anyhow Kimberley thinks she can crawl and gets so frustrated when she doesn't get anywhere but she did move about 2 inches last night going forward, so think it isn't far away. I am kind of over her thinking that 3am is a good time to practice. It is funny that she can kick me out of a king size bed!!
Have booked her back into daycare for a day next week so looking forward to a day on my own. Might be able to get some stuff done round the house.
Must be off now..
-
Love the new pic Heather (it IS new, isn't it?). Cute on the crawling, wont be long now I am sure. Once they get the gist of it they seem to really take off, or at least Caden did anyway. I hear ya about the holidays apart, cept for us it is slightly different in that I get the holidays, but cos DH runs his own business, I have to have them by myself. Not much of a holiday really, but it gets us out of the house. I can't wait til we sell the business then can live like a normal family and have holidays, day trips further than 1/2 hour away, and go overseas :) Bummer about the 3am time. Again we are having something similar, last night it was from 12 to 2, grumbly baby. He woke up this morning and did the stinkiest poo ever! I think it might have been the tomato-based spaghetti I gave him, so might lay off that for a while. :D
Well, better go do some stuff while bub is asleep,
-
Hello every one,
Sorry dont have a lot of time so wont do personal today
Well we have another tooth so thats 2 in the last week. Poor bubby but TBH she hasnt been too bad. Last night we had a bit of a party for DH's 30 which is actually on the 14th some some friends FIFO and we wanted them here. My girls were both angels even though DD1 was up til 9pm  My plan was to have her in bed b4 ppl arrived but she fell asleep having dinner in her highchair :cryinglaugh: at 4.30 so she wasnt too over tired. I thought i might get a bit of a sleep in because of it but no both my monkeys were up at 6.30am as per normal. DH is still in bed nursing a bit of a hangover and i'm trying to piece the house back together. Well not much else to tell and DD1 is tormenting Molly so off to play the peace keeper as per normal.
-
Hi all,
Am really starting to miss DH, so thought I would log on and say hi again. Am meant to be applying for jobs, but I have all night to do that...
DB - yeah the pic is new but taken about a month before we went away.. LOL at the poo from the spaghetti.. DH was whining about the smell of them from solid food before he went away, so if I find out when he is coming home, I will fill her up on fruit so he has the good ones to clean.. sorry for TMI there, but think he owes me... ;)
Hoody - glad the party went well.. The kids are amazing when there is company aren't they, now just to train them to sleep in.. Kimmy is up with the sun, no matter what time she goes to bed..
DD is teething again.. We are onto # 8 now.. She seems ok though, so fingers crossed she isn't too grumpy (she is normally pretty good.) I gave her some nurofen tonight and she got so high, just babbling away.
We are crawling like a crab, so am sure she will be taking off soon.. Part of me wants her to go before DH gets home, just so we achieved a major milestone and he might think twice about going next time..
I went to the park with a girl from mothers group yesterday and DD loved the swing. She didn't want to get out.. She was also happy just lazing about on the rug, and luckily I caught her lining her friends toe up, she had the mouth over the top and was about to go in for the chomp.. She thought she was being so clever and wasn't happy when I caught her..
When DD was about 3 weeks old, my 2 yr old nephew came to stay for a few nights and DH and I would lie in bed and complain that he didn't have a low volume, now I realise that Kimmy doesn't either.. We were walking through the shops the other day and for about 10 mins DD was yelling 'daaaa-da' at the top of her voice.. Was really cute, but I knew I can't whinge about my nephew any more :wall:
Well have babbled long enough now, so should really apply for these jobs and go and veg in front of the tv for a while.. Am all relaxed cause I decided to run a big bath for Kimmy and jumped in with her tonight.. She thought it was really funny having Mum in the tub..
Hope everyone else is welll..
Till next time..
Heather

Helloooo...remember me??
I'm sooooooo sorry I haven't posted for so long but every time I try to catch up, something happens and I get distracted and then I feel like there's no way i can catch up so I don't post and round and round we go! I have been reading lots, just not posting.
I'm not even going to attempt personals so please forgive me!
Us - we've been doing well. Have had our fair share of colds and teething (blah!) but we're surviving. He has 4 teeth now, two bottom ones came through first, then a few weeks ago his two top - OMG did they give him grief and once we saw them we understood why - his top teeth are HUGE! LOL.
He is crawling and pulling himself up, not 'crusing' as such but he's getting there, definitely knows how to get himself from A to B.
Sleep has been OK, disrupted by illness and teething but otherwise OK. He's doing two sleeps a day, about an hour and a half each, sometimes a bit less depending on when he gets out of bed in the morning. Still not sleeping through the night, has a feed at 10pm and another about 2am most of the time but I'm just used to it now and have accepted that he'll sleep through when he's ready. He has a quick feed and we're both back asleep within 10 minutes so it's not too painful at all.
He is definitely still a big boy, takes after his daddy! He's getting so big now, I just can't believe he's going to be 1 in a few months :( He is a delightful little fella, but definitley a mummy's boy!
Hope all are well and I'm going to try to make more of an effort to post. If I'm not around I'm still lurking and keeping up with how you're all doing.
-
Heather- PMSL at the 2yo with no volume button. I know all about that. I had a friend over this morning and trust me the volume level with 2x2yo's, a 13month old and my Molly well lets just say it was horrendous. I find my 2yo is ok at home but if there is someone else here or if we are out then the volume is through the roof  GL with the job hunting.
Willow- :happyforyou: so glad you came in and gave us an update i have missed you lots :) Glad to hear you are doing well.
DB- hope you had a good weekend.
Mel- Hun i hope you are ok after your rough weekend. My thoughts are with you
Twinsis- Long time no post- would love an update and hope you are well.
June, suse and anyone i missed- hope you are both well.
Ok so in the house of Hood's we have 2 sick kidlets again. I cant complain too much as we have had a decent run since the last bout of colds. Both girls have temps, runny noses and in general are very grumpy i have been up lots in the last 2 nights tending to one or the other. I'm just hoping that DD1 will stay ok and not get worse, Her asthma is already playing up and i have had to give her a neb already today. I dont mind as long as i can manage it at home so :crossfingers: for me. I am not too worried about Molly as she doesnt yet suffer from asthma like DD1 does. If they dont improve by tomo i will take them to the Dr but i dont want to waste my time to be told its just a cold etc.
For anyone that missed Limeslices post she wont be around for a little while as her Mum is seriously ill and she has gone to spend what time is left with her. I know she has been absent from the thread for a few weeks but she is in my thoughts alot.
Well thats enough from me today. Take care everyone.
-
Hoody - LOL, nice to be missed! My two have another cold too. DD is pretty much better, just the cough hanging on. DS has been sick about a week now. Last night was the first decent sleep we've had for 4 nights. Hope he's over the worst of it now. I haven't bothered taking mine to the drs for the same reason, they'll just tell me its a cold and there's nothing much you can do but try to keep them comfortable and as happy as possible. Hope DD1's asthma doesn't play up!!
-
Just popped on to say a quick hi and let you all know I'm still alive, just really busy. On top of looking after my own baby I look after my friend's baby while she's at work which leaves me very little time to come on the computer. Between the ytwo babies, and holidays and visitors I just haven't had time to come here.
Breif update with my little guy: He started crawling about a month ago and wow does he ever keep me on my toes. He started pulling up on stuff and cruising along the furniture a few weeks before crawling so he's into everything!! His favourite game is crawling up the stairs so we have to watch him like a hawk. Just a week ago his top 4 middle teeth came in and with them a definite prefernce for non-pureed foods. He grabbed a very ripe nectarine off my friend's table the other day and we watched in astonishment as he ate the entire thing!! No words yet other than momma and dadda and even those we aren't sure if he actually associates with us yet.
Cameron wants attention right now so I haven't had a chance to read any posts yet.
He's desperatyely trying to climb my stairs so I will have to read what you've all been up to later (durin his nap or after he goes to bed).
-
Willow- hope the kidlets are feeling better :)
Twinsis- Thanks for the update, wow you do sound busy 2 bubs you are very brave ;)
Well my girls are still full of colds but no worse so i cant complain......ok i could but wont as it could be soooo much worse. They actually both slept through last night but are still very cranky today. I suppose the fact that mummy dragged them both to the shops and bank this morning hasnt helped the situation  Well i hope you are all well. Its quiet again in here
-
Hi everyone,
Willow & Twinsis - IT is great to hear how you are both going !!!
Willow - hope the little ones are getting better and you are start getting some rest.
Twinsis - on the teeth, crawling and climbing. LOL about the food.. Funny how they enjoy something one feed, and turn their nose up the next time..
Hoody - feel free to complain if you want to.. Hope they don't get any worse!!
Don't have much to say, but I am filling in time while I have some ice on my finger.. I burnt it while melting some chocolate sauce for my cousin.. We made muffins this morning and she wanted some chocolate sauce on them (goodness knows why I gave into her)..
Kimmy is now 7.8 kgs that is .5 kg while we were away. We must have been feeding her well ;)
Hopefully DH will be home on the weekend, and he will get a shock.. I have become domesticated. I have cleaned the kitchen cupboards out and moved stuff into more logical places and have made inroads on bub proofing the house (so unlike me to do housework, but amazing what boredom will do :p)
Have my bro going to visit my parents with the new GF this weekend, so will have to go and suss her out and see if she gets my approval :cryinglaugh:
Anyhow, the iceblock has melted so must go and drop my cousin home..
Talk soon
Heather
-
Hi,
I've got to brag.. Kimberley was properly crawling tonight.. Can't believe that she decided she could do it and she was doing about 3 crawls steps in a row, had a break and went again.. Knew there was a reason I was cleaning my house so thoroughly..
Oh, and DH called. He should be home real late on Thursday night or Friday.. YIPPEE!!

Hey Mel- glad you posted i've been missing you in here and i keep missing you on msn too :) oh i just noticed the angel in your ticker, again i'm sorry for your loss :( I'm glad to hear you are doing ok though. My girls are a bit better just super grumpy still.
Heather- Yay on the crawling thats awesome. I bet you cant wait to see your DH
Well as i said to mel my girls are still very grumpy but doing ok. Its DH's 30th tomo and would you believe i havent even got him a card yet so i'm feeling like a lousy DW. I did make him a big batch of ANZAC cookies this morning and have wrapped them up in a tupperware container as they are his all time fav. I think i will have to give playgroup a miss this arvo to go to the shops for a card and something small from the kids. Not going to over board as he is going to Vietnam in Sept for a holiday and we agreed that that was his present. Well not much else to tell.
Take care.
-

Hey ladies,
Wow, so many posts! We have been SOOO busy lately, Caden has the flu, and DH and myself just came down with it last night, so needless to say I am back to the 5 hour nights again and last night was the worst - DS was fine, he had his feeds and went straight back to sleep :) but I tossed and turned, first burning up then freezing cold :( I woke up today feeling like I had been hit by a train.
Melz - sorry to see your ticker hun. It is great that you have a positive outlook, yet it still must be difficult. hun, look after yourself and be especially gentle to yourself for a while.
Hoody - yay on the 2nd tooth, bummer about the girls being sick. I hate it when they are sick, Caden got the flu too, but this time he has just been really clingy and having rough nights, but the days are ok, and thankfully  he hasn't gone off his boobie like before, so really I am actually happy considering it could be worst! Like Mel said, roll on summer.
Willow! great to see you back hun. Sounds like your lil fella is doing great. Like Hoody said, we missed you in here as it can get a bit quiet.
Heather - Congrats on the crawling hun :D Now you wont know what hit you!
Twinsis - wow looking after two of them, gosh don't know how you do it! I find looking after my two (DH and DS) is hard enough.
Well as for us like I said the whole family has been sick. Caden is doing so well though, he really has his sea legs, he even tries to take a few steps on his own now, but doesn't quite get up the momentum before falling on his bottom. I am a HORRIBLE mother because he fell onto his bottom and did this kind of roll onto his back and SCREAMED! I didn't think it looked that bad so gave him a cuddle, and when I pulled his little face away from my shoulder, he had blood everywhere :( The poor little thing had somehow torn the little flap of skin that joins the top lip to the gum  gosh knows how he did it, but it bled alot. He recovered pretty quickly and could still suck his thumb and drink which was a relief. To top things off, and I haven't even told DH this cos I feel so guilty, the other night he couldn't settle after two hours so I brought him into bed with me. DH couldn't sleep so went onto the couch, so it was just Caden and me. At about 5 in the morning there was a loud "thump" and a cry, CAden had fallen out of bed! I swore I would wake up when he moved, but after a few nights of next to no sleep, I must have zonked. Luckily he was fine, the floor is carpeted and wood boards underneath, so is actually quite cushioned, but DH had his draw slightly open and I shudder to think of what "might" have happened
Anyways, better go prepare the house for a strata meeting we have tonight,
Have a great week ladies!
-
Whew I finally had a chance to read all the posts. I've been gone too long though to reply to it all. Glad to hear everyone is doing well.
Welcome Mummy Melz
Well this wasn't much of a post but Cameron just woke up and this room isn't baby-proofed so must run. Hopefully will talk to you guys soon
-
HI girls,
Melz - sorry for your loss. Hope you are all ok..
DB - hope you are all starting to feel better in your house. Poor Caden falling out of bed  , but if it makes you feel any better, Kimmy fell head 1st onto a concrete floor while we were away.. (DH was changing her, and I could hear crying and just assumed it was the usual tantrum of getting a nappy change, but then DH comes out looking a little pale and told me what happened. Think it shocked both of them more than anything else).
Hoody - hope you managed to find something for DH, but am sure you would have been forgiven if you didn't get out.. ;)
Everyone else - hoping all is good..
Well I am really excited now. DH will be home in the early hours of the morning.. But as my parents live 2 hrs closer to where he is coming from, I have asked them to leave the door unlocked, just in case he can't quite make it (his request, not my idea). Mind you I am still waiting for the phone call from his friend to tell me that he is on his way. I just happened to call his mobile and caught him.
Kimmy decided that while I was trying to get her to sleep tonight, she was going to sit up. Her eyes were almost glued shut, but she still wriggled around to sit up.. They are such determined little things aren't they :cryinglaugh:
Anyhow, I am buggered, so off to get a few hrs sleep before DH gets home (just so I can get up with DD and let him sleep in tomorrow)..
Take care everyone

Heather- I hope your DH made it home safely into open arms :)
DB- I hope you are all feeling better. Its so hard when you dont feel great yourself
Well DH enjoyed his birthday and i did manage to get to the shops to get him a few bits.
My girls are still both full of colds. Not any worse but not exactly any better just lots of green snot and clingy. DH left at 6.30am this mo and is still not home so i have had a tough day been stuck at home with them both. I would have loved to take them to the park or something just to get out but i had to wait for our new Telly and TV cabinet to arrive. Had a big spend this week with buying them both and a new rug for our living room but they where well needed. Well i have to cut this short Molly is unsettled so i best go try and put her down.......again.

Hello All,
Stupid computer, internet explorer keeps shutting down on me and this is the first time I have made it this far without being kicked off :(
Heather - you must be excited by now to have DH back, yay! Hope you are enjoying some time to yourself while he is back, and some time with him too, "wink wink".
Twinsis - heh heh about the baby proofing. It is funny, these days everywhere I go has to be screened for spiders, fall hazards, beer bottles, etc before I put Caden on the floor. Today I went to a Kitchen Tea and everyone was sitting outside and the floor was brick paved. My GF has a bub of her own but it wasn't really the place for a crawler so Caden was pretty much held the whole time which really cramped his style :)
Melz - hope you are feeling ok hun, def must meet up oneday soon
Hoody - yeah I hate it when they are sick, so clingy and needy. I mean, I love the extra cuddles, I will do anything for that hug and to feel that lovely head on my shoulder, but I really feel for the poor thing, snuffling away and generally not feeling the best. Hopefully it will be over soon and some sanity will return
Suse, Willow, Limeslice, Belinda, others I have missed, hope you are all ok?
As for us, have had a good week so far, my own personal brag - CADEN TOOK HIS FIRST STEPS!!! He had my hand and walked as far as he could go within my reach, then let go and did a couple of steps before plopping onto his bottom!! OMG I was so amazed, such a clever little monkey. From being one of the last in my mothers group to crawl to being one of the first to cruise/step is amazing. I can't wait til he is walking, I really think he will love it.
Nights are getting better, although am doing a 12, 3 and 6 o'clock feed at the moment. I think he just wakes up thirsty due to the flu, as when he wakes up, I wake up with a mouth so dry I end up drinking a litre of water just in the night time. I will wait until he is better before trying to get back on track, as I have a feeling that once he is better he will sleep through again.
Well, gotta go sew an outfit for Caden while he is asleep, have a great week!

Can you believe it? My lil fella is 10 months old! I went to the preg and baby expo yesterday, it was so great to see all those stalls with products that I have seen online, and now got to see in the flesh :) Caden was home with DH so it was just me, and people kept asking when I was due  I kept saying "10 months ago" LOL. Makes me kind of wish I WAS preg, but then I get home to my lil bubba so determined to walk around and I realised how really lucky and fortunate I am.
Well, we are all snotty in our house at the mo. Caden is still running his own green and gold olympics, and DH has walked around like death the last few days expecting all kinds of sympathy! He says to me "I'm hot, feel my head" so I take his temperature - 36.5, my temperature? 38.5! But who wants all the sympathy? I tell ya, it has definitely been like having two babies.
Well, our computer is fixed and I am back online, but there is no one to talk to, heh heh. Have a great week everyone,
-
Hey DB.. Men, always dying when they have a sniffle. Hope you are getting better  on the 10 months. They are growing up so fast.. I look at Kimmy and am amazed how much we love this little girl and can't imagine our lives without her. The selfish part of me wants to enjoy her alone, while the other part thinks we really need to think about another one if we are going to keep them close in age.. ;)
Hoody, any relief from those colds yet? Thinking of you and sending you big  Don't know how you manage. You are a strong wife and Mummy!!
Well DH made it home safely and it is so nice to have him back.. And yes, have been able to have some 'me' time and some adult company.. Nan was good fun to have around, but not the same as DH.
My dog died last night. She was at my parents, and she was old, but still didn't want to hear it. And I found out just before I left for an interview
I went to an employment agency today and have an interview tomorrow and another Wednesday, so here's hoping something comes from them!! I had to get my DH to come nearly into town to get me cause I was sick, I felt like I was going to pass out. I had to get off the train, but it was all from not having anything to eat most of the day cause the train was late on my way into town..
Well still not feeling too good, so am off to make the spare bed and jump in there. Am scared I won't hear kimmy if I am down the other end of the house tonight..
Good night..

No time to post properly at its late etc but hope you are all ok. Girls still full of colds but doing ok. I had a really bad day today  I also lost my mobile which is really bad considering DH lost his yesterday so now we have no one phone no's.
I will try and post properly tomo but just wanted to say HI for now.
Mel- Hope Rye's surgery went well today, I wanted to txt you but as i said lost my phone so i have lost your no. Hope to see you Wed still but get in touch with me anyway. X

HELLOOOOOOOOOOOOO- very quiet again in here ladies :p
Mel- It was so great to meet up today you are as lovely in person as you are on the net and we got along fantastically if i do say so myself. Cant wait to do it again. Maybe i will brave the drive and visit you one day but as i said its so much easier to have ppl come here so DD1 doesnt trash someone elses house esp if they arent used to having a 2yo iykwim. Rye is such a beautiful lil boy you should be so proud.
Heather- i hope you are feeling better and :crossfingers: about the job hunting
DB- I am jealous you went to the baby expo i really wanted to go and even had 2 free tickets but had no one to go with and didnt fancy it with my 2 terrors alone. I hope you and your DH are both feeling better.
Well my girls are all better still have slight runny noses but all is well apart from. Molly is doing really well still not on the move but sitting, clapping, waving etc. I think she is also trying to say dada and ta or maybe its just wishful thinking and just her babbling :cryinglaugh: I was getting worried about the lack of crawling but after speaking to my mum i am reassured. I apparantly never crawled and i turned out fine ;) Its funny i never new that but mum said i was just happy to sit then at 13-14 months figured out i had legs and just up and walked like that :cryinglaugh:
Well i hope you are all having a good week and would love to hear how you are all doing.

Hello All,
It seems I only posted yesterday, but I guess it was a while ago now. This is only quick cos I have got to go to bed :)
Caden is almost walking, he takes a few steps, then might stop and stand for a while, then walk a few more before either getting to his destination or plopping on his bottom. Very cute! We have 8 teeth now also, so hopefully that's it for a few months before the big bad molars come. He is also feeling alot better and is almost over his cold, although there is some bad coughing during the night :(
Hoody - It is so hard not to stress when other babies seem to be ahead, but Caden was almost the last in my mummys group to crawl, and is the first one taking steps, so it just goes to show.
Heather - sorry about your dog  but good luck at the interview! Hopefully you will get some good news.
Melz - thinking of you hun and hope Ryley went ok in his op.
All others - hope you are all going good.
Off to bed!

DB - thanku so much for your kind words, so proud of Caden for walking, before u no it, he'll be runnign around, well rye is sorta walking, he will hole hads and walk, but thats it really it...
Hoody - thank u so much for Wednesday, i so enjoyed meeting u, u r the most lovely person, and Miss Mia just melted my heart on how cute she is and Miss Molly is just a lil doll.. u have such a lovely family and im so glad we meet, and i can see a great friendship coming out if this  Cant wait to see you again, i might pop over next week, or as you said you can venture over my way,and the hole wrecking the house thing, isnt a prob becoz my DF is shocking and sooooo messy, its like i have two kids haha.. but def easier if i come to you, since i have one bub and u have two!!

DB- I hope the night time cough has subsided and all is well again in your house hold :)
Melz- sorry i keep missing you on msn havent been on the comp much this week busy, busy, busy. Hope you didnt work too hard today. I would love to see you again this week if you are free one day? I'm always free :cryinglaugh: I have found a fantastic park near me so if you want to come up here we can take the kidlets down for a picnic maybe?? Let me know or i could try and brave the drive to you if you prefer.
Well not much to tell here had a draining couple of days with Molly having a seizure (we think) last night and soooo much diorhoea (sp?) Went to the Drs and for now just keeping an eye on her but if it happens again we will have to go for an EEG. She scared me to death. She made a funny noise- almost like a cross between a gasp for breath and a cough. I went in to check on her and she was soooo out of it and really floppy. I panicked big time. Within a minute she was ok but within that minute the thoughts that flashed through my head where horrendous iykwim, SHe didnt have a temp but she is teething badly so we dont know what happened. Also had DD1 checked out whilst at the Dr's as her hands are always a really deep red/purple and freezing even when she is warm. Same deal for now ok but if still continuing she will need tests to check for a circulation condition starting with R........ok its too late and i cant think of what its called. Always something or another in this household i tell ya:rolleyes: Well not much else to say i hope you all have a great weekend.
Take care

Hello Lovelies,
Melz - glad to hear Rye went well, what a tough lil fella. Yay on the walking holding hands, that's a great way to build up those sturdy muscles!
Hoody - hun, sorry to hear about the seizure. You must have been scared to death :( I am so glad everything is ok now, my niece had febrille (sp?) convulsions and had my sis in a state a few times, but is ok now. Any ideas what they think it is?
As for us, we are WALKING now! He will take about 10 steps, or walk across the room. He has had let go of his own accord a few times to get somewhere, but mainly walks towards me. I can't believe a week ago he had taken his first steps, and now he is really walking. It is amazing how quickly they develop, he really seems to love it too and has the biggest most proud grin on his face when he is coming towards me :D
WEll, late night better be off to bed,
Nighty night!

Hi everyone..
Just thought I would pop in and say a quick hi...
Hoody - the seizure must have been so scary for you.. Hope you are ok now..
DB - on the walking.. Am praying Kimmy doesn't get there for a while... The crawling is bad enough :p
Melz - glad the op went well.. LOL at the chance of losing a finger, I am the same. I refuse to stick my finger in Kimmy's mouth..
Everyone else -- hi, hope all is well..
Kimmy has really got some speed up with this crawling business. We were at a friends house this arvo and I ducked out to the shop, and when I came back, my friend (who has 4 grown up children), made a comment as to how she just disappeared. She went searching for DH and found him..
We have been having a nightmare with getting Kim to sleep of late. She is fine when in our arms, or if we lie in bed with her, but I don't want to be doing that forever, so tonight DH suggested a blanket (which she normally hates, but enjoys in our bed), so it stopped her moving so much and I decided to put my tshirt in there with her.. less than a minute, she was asleep cuddling my shirt.. Mind you, DH had no issues with me stripping down for her. ;) Just hoping we have hit the nail on the head, but it is making sense after being away, and then Kimmy sleeping in my room when DH was away..
Well DH is out of the shower, now so must go and keep him company..
Good night all...
Heather

Heather - it is so cute when they can smell you and you can comfort them with your cuddles and smell, but it does get a bit frustrating when they are clingy! Caden has been so clingy the last few days and just about climbs up my legs when I am in the kitchen getting dinner ready or something. Hopefully Kim will settle back down soon and relearn how to self-settle. LOL about DH enjoying the peep show!
Hoody - hope all is well your household hun and no more seizures?
Melz - hoping Rye has made a full recovery.
As for us, more walking and getting up to mischief. He has figured out how to climb the stairs as well, so more vigilance is required :wall:. I have to put him in his playstation now when I go to the loo in case I find him half way up the stairs when I get back.
Have had a bug or something today. I had a day of worked planned and luckily had Caden booked into day care. I was so dizzy when I woke up and vomitted a couple of times before calling DH home to take Caden to DC. After a few hours sleep I felt better (and did a quick HPT just to check, luckily BFN!) so hoping it was just one of those things. I didn't think I could be pg, the chances are really rare, but stranger things have happened.
Well, hope you are all having a better week than me,
-
DB- sorry to hear you are feeling so rough there is nothing worse than feeling like that esp when you have a bub to deal with too. Hopefully just a 24 hour thing.
Ok well still having a tough time in our house hold  Molly isnt very well at all. I took her to the after hrs GP on Sun as she was clearly unwell- high temps, crackly chest etc etc. I felt a bit fobbed off been told it was a combination of a cold and teething  The dr did say her ears and throat where quite pink so to keep an eye on her and to take to my normal Dr should i still be concerned in a day or two. Well she got worse and worse so back to the drs (just a random couldnt get in to my own) we went yesterday only to be told its a viral infection so nothing can be done just wait and ride it out again. Her temp was above 40 she wouldnt sleep any more than 15-20mins tops and even that was in my arms, had only had 100mls of milk in 24 hrs etc etc. I had a very flat and unwell bub. Well following my gut instinct and the fact that today she was just as bad i took her to see MY dr who is fantastic and low and behold she has an ear and chest infection. She said they could be secondary infections from the viral one but still i cant believe its taken 4 day, 3 drs and me feeling like a paranoid mama to get some answers. I am hoping they kick in pretty quick as she is sooo poorly. Still not sleeping and it's even like its too hard for her to even cry so she is just whinging. My house looks like a bombs gone off as i have had her attached to my hip since sun, DD1 is desperately seeking attention too...............oh i've had a ***** week so far. OK enough of my vent next time i'll be a bit cheerier i promise.
Hope everyone is doing well and sorry for the lack of personals was going to do them now but Molly needs a mama cuddle.
