1stbub - Glad the needles went well today - why are bubs having a heel ***** as well?? James had one in hospital but from memory Izzy didn't have one with her 2mth shots either? Both kids have been sick so I am going to get them done on Monday at my GP.
Hippiemummy - I hope Banjo went to sleep for you finally hun -its hard when they are awake, James is generally happy when he is awake during the day but it's still tough because I have to protect him form his overezealous sister!
Leigh- Sounds like you are doing well - as far as ear piercing goes, we will wait until she is old enough to ask for herself and she's a girly girl who checks herself out in the mirror when I do her hair, so I would say maybe 3 or 4!
HJ - How was the rest of your day hun? Was Bianca ok??
Hollye - I hope you have a better night babe. ETA: Posted at the same time hun - I would be reluctant to add rice cereal at such a young age hun - can you get a second opinion before you do that?? Their tummies are so tiny and really aren't ready for food yet. JMO of course but I hope the new formula works. No it's ok for you to be tired hun - having a baby is a HUGE adjustment and when you have an unsettled bub and are trying everything and nothing works it is really hard. Just remember you are doing a brilliant job - you are a great mum and these bubs take time to work out and settle into a routine.
Hi to all I've missed - tired here, such a busy day. We had our MCHN appointment and James is now 5.865 kgs! 57.5 cms long and his head is a massie 42 cms - in the 90th percentile!! Big man! Since we have left hospital he has put on 1.8kgs and up 715grams since his 4 week check. I am going to stop stressing about my milk, feeding only one side at a time, and his sleeping now! I just looked at Izzy's blue book and she was 5.9kgs at 3 mths!!!!! Little man is HUGE! Ok Im off - have loads to do as our business stuff is going to go through later this week so I need to get heaps organised! Have a great night all! :)

Wow isn't this time of year just crazy????? I haven't had a moment to even think about venturing in to BB how are we all getting on? all set for christmas?
I have actually finished all of my christmas shopping and everything except my christmas eve layby is wrapped and under the tree, cards are all sent and all I have to do is help Paige make her presents for the family and then we can sit back and enjoy...it is the first christmas in.....well.....ever!!!! that I can say I've been organised.
I have got the cutest first christmas tree ornaments off ebay for DD and DS one is blue with 'pooh and tigger' on it and the other is pink and has 'lumpy and roo' and each has room for a photo of my babies on their first christmas...looks soo cute on the tree.
I hope everybody has a wonderful christmas with their new additions...DD is sooooo excited this year for the first time it makes it sooo much more fun.
ps, could I get put back on the bubba list I seem to have fallen off, (Angus Ezra, born 29/10/08 at 9:48pm, 9lbs 2ozs)
love to all

O Hollye  I feel for you. Not what you really need right now I bet. I know when I'm tired i'm really bad at settling Liam and it just gets worse and worse until DH steps in and settles him (in 2 seconds flat!). I hope the new formula helps and everything is sorted out quickly for you. Wishing you some peace and rest for the Christmas season!
Sorry Tan, was talking bout the heel **** being done a few days after he was born. Was actually done here at home since we came home early. My vagueness is a little confusing at the mo. :} LOL on ur girly girl checking herself out in the mirror!
BTW, Liam weighed in at about 5.5kg today - 500grams in 1 week!!!! after the LC stressed over 200grams last week I had to check it was ok. The nurse said it was a lot but certainly nothing to stress about. (Silly LC woman!)
-
Well I think I have lost my good sleeping boy! He didn't settle until about 10pm last night which is soooo weird for him! And the only place he would actually sleep was in our bed (which I secretly love!! More cuddles for mummy!!! :D) And he is asleep now but again would only settle in our bed. Strange child!!!
We've got MG today, can't wait to get him weighed as we missed it last week because we were sick.
Is anyone using cloth nappies?
Oh he is awake again-what a suprise!!! Back soon
-
Please give me your suggestions, why won't he stay asleep???? He looks soooo tired! I can get him to sleep, then no longer than 10 mins and he's awake! Please help I'm going nuts!!!!!!! :wall:
-
dammit.. i did reply to you and now its all gone. My suggestions were putting him back on ur breast when he wakes, a fuller tummy sleeps longer, even if its not his feed time. Does he seem in pain when he wakes? Mayb try laying with him on ur bed until he gets past that light sleep stage into a deep sleep and then put him in his bed or just leave him there?
Mia is still asleep... so once she wakes up we will see what today brings. Hope that new formula has helped. fingers crossed or she may be on ebay for a quick sale by the end of the day!! lol
-
oh btw my chrissy tree FINALLY went up yesterday! and it is so prettyful!
-
Goodmorning All!
I have my work chrissy party at 10! and Bianca is still asleep - will be due a feed when she wakes up, and im still in my PJ's - and than i have to pop into the shop on the way for some stuff that i have to take - im guessing we are going to be late!!!!
And i dare not wake Little Miss up from her slumber! oh no - its like waking a teenager up!!!! not a good idea!
Hollye - dont u dare feel bad at all! remember what i was saying when i was going thru a stage similar to what u are! Babies are full on work! and just when u think u got them figured out they change! u are and always have been doing a fantastic job - so keep up the good work! ur a great mummy!!!!!!!!
oh and if u do put Mia up on ebay - speak to me first i will take her! hehehehe
that funny u should say that tho - i once msg Kev on morning when he was at work (after a night shift) and i said to him he might want to get home ASAP cause his daughter is going out by the side of the road with a 4 SALE sign next too her! hehehe of course i never did it - but was so tempted to - i had a hell night alone with her!
Does Mia like the lights on the chrissy tree? B loves them!
I too would be a bit reluctant to put mia on the rice cereal in her food!
my GP put Bianca on Infant Gaviscon - and when i saw pead for 6wk check up - he said that was much better than what most gp's are recommending cause its nice and gentle on their stomachs! it really has worked a treat for Bianca! we are slowly weening her off it!
But hopefully the new formula works for her - which one is it?
Hippie - are u still swaddling Banjo? cause ive gotten back into that and Bianca is sleeping better - however she is going thru a stage where she dosent sleep much during the day - just only 5-10min cat naps in her bouncer if im rocking her - than she has a couple of hours in the arvo!
Tan - yep Bianca was pretty good for the rest of the day - she even slept from 2230-0500 this morning and is still asleep!
Wow u got u big boy on ur hands - thats good tho - he can protect his sister from all the boys she will be bringing home in a few years time! hahahaha
1stBub27 - glad all went well with Liam's needles - im so not looking forward to Bianca getting hers - DH has too take her - i will cry! i said i wanna be the one that cuddles her and makes all the pain go away - Daddy can be the meanie! hehehe
-
Blizz - good work on being so organised - thats usually me - but not this year - maybe u stole my organisedism (is that a word?) hehehehe

Hi all,
It's been a crappy couple of days here, all yesterday the two older boys had the gastro bug going around, Kailen was feeling better just after lunch and poor Lockie is only just getting better now, he had some breakky so that's good.
Wyatt and Julian had their needles this morning, OMG Wyatt is so strong I had to have him in a bear hug while he got two needles, first wasn't to bad but the second he was saying "no get it out, get it out", lol was quite funny. I think the jellybeans and lollies he was given from the nurse. Julian was good had a little cry with each needle and then had a bit of boobie, came home and had a bit of a nap and just got up again, so will see what the day brings for him. He now weighs 5.1kg, 54.5cm long and 37.5cm HC, so he's up 1.6kg's from birth.
hugs xoxo
-
Amanda - my gosh u really need to have a little Girl now! hehehe - when are u trying for that one?
-
Well we did try with Julian and we still got a little blue one, I wouldn't mind having more but DH has said no, so I guess I just have to wait until the boys have me some grand babies, lol.
hugs xoxo

OMG I have had the worst day. Izzy can climb stools and has been crawling all over the kitchen bench, James has been grizzly as all day - (I think I ate too much onion last night) and Im just in a foul mood now.......Arrggh can't wait for them to go to bed - I might crack a red. Some days I just can't keep up with a toddler AND a baby...AND they wont sleep at the same time during the day so I get no let up - arrrggggggghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!

Good evening everyone,
Well Olive had her needles yesterday, it was quite traumatic. DH came and held her and I sat away and didn't watch and BF her afterwards upon recommendation from the nurse. She cried and I cried and it was pretty awful, so glad it's over and done with! Olive had quite a few heel***** tests as she had jaundice and she was fine as I BF her but I think injections hurt way more. I had to end up giving her panadol as she was really upset and wouldn't settle. She then slept for 6 hrs so it must've done the trick.
Hippie - re cloth nappies - I had all the best intentions and brought Bummie's prefolds for a small fortune. When I got home I realised they were way to big for a newborn and they leaked. I have been using seventh generation bio nappies until last week when I gave the prefolds another go but again I wasn't impressed as they gave Olive nappy rash and leaked. I have been using normal cloths and the seventh gens and am now trying to sell the prefolds - hopefully someone else has more luck then me.
Hollye - I also put up my xmas tree today and it feels like xmas now, minus the alcohol and parties. I love the silly season.
Hi to everyone else.:)
I'm starting playgroup tomorrow so that will be good although i've had something on everyday for the past week and a half now so it will be nice to stay home thursday.
Tv is so crap ATM, bring back home and away and packed to the rafters!

Hi everyone!!!!
Sorry I haven't been around, I've been flat out here with feeding Hayden every 2 hours to get him back up to his birth weight! Along with work...... ahhh it's gone nuts ever since the ABC centre drama and my phones been ringing off the hook! Top that off with this christmas madness and visitors I'm lucky if I get 5 minutes to wipe my bum!
Sorry to hear about all of you that are missing out on sleep, I'm sooo very lucky that Hayden sleeps for 8 hours straight over night..... I'm touching wood don't wanta lose that!
The breast feeding hasn't been easy, I have plenty of milk but Hayden falls asleep at the breast while feeding and took 5 weeks to reach his birth weight. He's currently 4.2 kgs and doing well so we're back to demand feeding and some sanity! Although with school holidays I'm sure to be in the looney bin with all the sibling love the monkeys are showing each other! lol
I'll catch up on the posts and then do personals, I've been thinking of you all and hope you all have a wonderful christmas with your little gems!
Take care,
Luv Snoopea

ahhh snoop! (((hugs))) i missed u!!!!
Tan- sorry u are having a crappy day. Hope tomorrow is better.
Was a better day today. No screaming at mummy for hours! yay! took abit to get her to go to sleep tonight but shes been asleep for 2 hours now and im expecting her to stay asleep till atleast 3-4 am. I used to wake her about 11pm for a feed but i dont bother now, shes much happier if i let her wake on her own. I dont mind getting up at 3 am coz we are usually bother back asleep by 4. so no biggie.
Formula is doing much better, shes seems so much happier on her new formula. I have a problem tho.. i have 2 tins of the NAN formula ( i like to buy bulk when i have the money) and i dont have the reciept anymore! mayb i should try and sell them? ide be happy with $15-20 a tin as it is $27 a tin. Where could i sell it tho? ddont think safeway will let me take it back without a receipt...... hrmmm what a pickle im in..
-
Hi Snopea. Good to hear from you. congrats on getting Hayden back to his birth weight. sounds like it was a bit of a rocky road. Do you work for ABC?
Tan, sorry you had such a horrible day. Hope tomorrow's better. I don't envy you having a toddler and bub to contend with, I've often wondered how people do it. Enjoy the red!
Amanda, sorry about the gastro bug. Umm, how do you do it with 5??? Even on a normal day??? Still, I'd love a big family and so would DH, but I can't see it happening realistically. How did Jullian do for the rest of the day after his needles?
HJ - I'm a very practical and logical person who knows pain is a neccessity at times in life. ....BUT I HATED IT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Still, he calmed down pretty quickly after cuddles so maybe he knows it wasn't me who jabbed him. *fingers crossed*
Hippiemummy, I know it's a while since you asked and you've probably worked something out already. The only suggestion I can give from my own experience last week, is make sure he's not too hot. Liam wasn't sleeping well, even tho I was trying to keep him in the coolest place in the house. Had to move the aircon from the bedroom to the kitchen and he's been really good since then.
Sorry for anyone I missed. I'm tired and going to bed. DH has had a migrane since he came home from work so i'm still going solo.
