Oh Blizz I love those. Well done. I had a surprisingly good Chrissy lunch with my grandparents, my 6months pregnant older sister and her husband. Liam put on a good show for the girls with his usual charming giggles and smiles and didn't do too bad on the sleep front, but is very tired now and being put to sleep by DH. :crossfingers:
Hope the rest of you had a good day too. Merry Christmas!!!! :confetti:
Merry Christmas again everyone! Hope you all had a wonderful day and aren't feeling too bad today!! Bubs got so spoiled here!! Izzy got loads of gorgeous toys, books and clothes, as did James! I got my Fav Dolce & Gabbana perfume from DH and a L'Occitane Hand creme from the kids! :) I also got a hair straightener and some vouchers and we got a sun shade thing for the beach - now we just have to go!
Have a great Boxing recovery day all! :)
Morning All!
We had a pretty good 1st Chrissy as a family!
I didnt get too spoilt but we are buying another house early next year and hopefully one with a pool so that will be my late chrissy present!
Bianca of course got spoilt!
Blizz - i havent heard of a lovelinks bracelet?! what are they like?
What did everone else get?
We have to wait to get it, but we're getting ourselves a new iMac - can't wait! And I bought myself a new Palm smartphone - its fun! I can do my shopping lists, budget etc on there and have all my contacts and take photos and video of Liam. It gives me the illusion of being organised. ;)
Among other things Liam was given a motorbike t-shirt from my parents who have become motorbike mad in recent years. They do long rides most weekends, joined Ulysses and have 3 big bikes in their shed which are all regularly ridden - this after crashing 2 about a year ago. I joke about it with them coz its pretty crazy and told them on the phone No! He WILL NOT wear a motorbike shirt!!!! :D It is kinda cute though.
1stBub27 - as long as u "look" organised thats all that matter! hahaha
U will have to take a piccy of Liam in his motorbike shirt for us all to see!
Hi I haven't been on belly belly for a long time, have just had baby number one who is two months old yesterday, little girl Ashleah Jade 8 pd 10.5 ounces is now 10pd 10 ounces which is 4.8 kilo i think, we have just been through first lot of immunisations :o
Hello neane and Bubba Ashleah!
How has it all been going for you?
How did the needles go?
My bubba girl Bianca is all booked in for hers on the 7th Jan - im soooo not looking forward to it - i know i am going to be the one that cries.
Welcome neane!! You will love BB!!!
Merry Christmas Everyone!!!
We had a great first xmas together. Olive was very spoilt and I have spent most of the day undoing and playing with all her new toys, we have nearly filled the recycling bin already! The packaging on toys really is ridiculous. I got lots as well as my b'day was on the 24th. DH got me some gorgeous jewellery, a vase and a dress(I chose the dress) for my b'day and for xmas I got a stick blender and a sandwich press, the new Bryce Courtney book, swimmers, money from our parents to buy a dishwasher, a mobile and lots of other lovely things, scored very well. My SIL brought me some A'kin products and Calvin Klein perfume which was also really nice. I must say that while Olive behaved beautifully all day she was well and truely over it by 10:30pm as she hadn't been home all day and was so sick of pass the parcel. She slept all night though and also did on my b'day which was the best present ever!
Olive hasn't done a poo since sunday so i'm waiting for the explosion, hopefully she does it at home this time, wish me luck.
Hello all,
did we all get spoilt????. I know my kiddlings did, I also know that it will take them a week or so to recover from all of the excitement, Paige hasn't been to bed before 10pm for the last three nights so I have put her to bed early hoping she'll crash out...Angus hasn't slept since 6:30am just cat napping and every time I thought I had him asleep he shook himself awake again.
I have eaten way too much Christmas food:lol:
DH phoned me earlier and he is so down about having to work Christmas night and boxing day, he will get home in time for New Years this time though.
HJ- at the risk of corrupting you, look up the lovelinks website and you can design your dream bracelet in cyber space and then print it out complete with a shopping list...this was the list I left lying around for DH to find, I have already corrupted Feeb on live chat last week and she too got a lovelinks bracelet for christmas:dance:
Warning....It is addictive and fun!! (similar to Pandora bracelets but a whole lot cheaper)
I will try to take a photo and post it of my beautiful bracelet....I am sooo spoilt...can't wait to add even more charms and beads.
Well I am going to toddle off to bed early and try to let some of this food digest...woah tummy ache!!!
merry christmas everyone
look what I got for Christmas
https://www.bellybelly.com.au/forums...0&ppuser=12058
im here!!
xmas was so tiring and Mia hasnt been herself since. Drinking heaps.. sleeping heaps and screaming heaps.. i dunno..
but it was good. she got spoilt rotten and so did me and DP :)
i cant wait till next year.. i think it will be much more fun when the bubs are about 14 months old :D
I agree Hollye, next Chrissy should be lots of fun. And my older sister will have her bub who will be about 9 months - FUN FUN FUN!!! (FYI - my sister was told she probably couldnt have kids, the same week we found out we were preggers with Liam, so its very exciting!)
Liam has been a little odd too. Really sleepy, then hardly sleeping at all (during the day. He's still a marathon sleeper at night). Grizzly etc. I figured it was all over stimulation from Christmas. He seems to be settling back down now.
Blizz, your lovelinks bracelet is gorgeous. I love the 2 either side of the chrissy tree. I always thought they would be a good way of celebrating big things - like births for instance! :) But pretty little hope of getting DH to understand the concept and thus be excited about buying them for me. Ah well, he can't be perfect I guess.
Welcome neane. I love the name you chose for your little girl. Ashleah and Jade were both names I was considering if we'd had a girl. How did you both go with the immunisations?
Happy Birthday Olivesmummy for the 24th!!! Hope it was a great day for you too. Nice of Olive to give you some rest as a nice present. :)
Hi Girls,
Sounds like everyone had a great christmas. Lara got absolutely spoilt as well. I am now trying to decide where to put all her presents. We live in a small house so between her toys and DD1's there isnt a lot of room.
Welcome Neane and little Ashleah.
Sorry I have no time for personals at the moment, I'll try and come back later to do them. I still have all my family here so I don't get much internet time at the moment.
Oh just a quick question, how many of you girls have a swing for your bubs? We were at friends the other day and they have one of the Fisher Price take along swings and Lara loved it. It settled her straight away. Lara is a great sleeper but is really full on when awake so it was good to get a break when she was in the swing. I'd like to get one now but I am scared she'll get used to being rocked to sleep and I dont want that.
Better go, have a great day!!!
Blizz - i love ur bracelet! its gorgourse! but i don't have a hope in hell of convincing DH to buy me one! :(
Leigh - im the same as u - we now have to try and find a place to put everything that Bianca got! Hence why we are now looking to sell our house and buy a new bigger one!!!
as for a swing - we don't have one yet - but as soon as we get a bigger house i will be buying one! i think they are great!
Guess what everyone? Bianca is 2mths old today!!!! boy has it gone fast!
How is everyone else going?
Hi everyone! Gosh this time of year is busy!! We have been at friends or else had people over every day in the last week! Doing really well, James has been an angel, still sleeping through and sleeping well during the day, and is generally just the most content and gorgeous little boy. We get loads of smiles and giggles every day, he just loves his dingly dangle in the car and spends all his time cracking up at it or else sleeping! We have needles tomorrow for both of them not looking forward to that but with Christmas and being sick we are already late. Went to mums today and she sewed my costume for NYE! Too cute!
Ok Im off to cruise forums for a bit - have a great night all!
HJ I would have just brought my own if DH hadn't come through:lol: and I am normally the patient type:o
Just came back from the Dr for needles - Izzy didn't even realise she had one! bu poor James screamed and cried the whole time poor little tyke - I gave him a HUGE feed when we got home and he just fell into a deep sleep. I remember Izzy slept the whole day too when she had hers. :( I think we won't be doing much at all today, DH is home as well and looks like he has a touch of gastro. Off to clean while I can ladies -have a great day!
Hi all!!!
I hope everyone had a great Chrissy with their little ones! Sounds like you all did! We had a great day, very busy but lots of fun!
We've been away camping, which was fun, hard work with a bub...but it was nice to get away. And we are going camping again for NYE.
I've made an appointment to get DS's needles (finally) next Friday, a bit late but better late than never! Its just this time of year..so so busy!
Tan- I hope little James is ok after his needles!
Hi to everyone else!! Sorry will catch up on personals a bit later!
Tan - wow Izzy is brave! and poor James!!!! im still not looking forward to Bianca's needles on the 7th - how many needles is it?
Hollye - how are u and our little Miss Mia going?
Hippiemummy - ur game going camping with a little bub! hahahaha - glad u had a good time tho!
we are ok. Mia's colic is playing up real bad so we have been a very stressed and tired household for a few day. Gave her a feed with infacol earlier and it brought the wind up but she spent an hour spewing her feed up :wall: so i might stick with infants friend and see how that works. So im feeling abit lost atm and over the full on screaming she does ALLLLLLL day.
As for needles.. its an oral drink and 2 needles.. one in each leg.
Hollye - have u thought of tryin Mia on INFANT GAVISCON? It truely has been a godsend for Bianca!! we are now easing her off it and she is doing fine!
2 needles!!!!!!!!!!! im so not going to be able to handle that at all!
and how do they go drinking the drink?
Mia was fine with the drink and the first needle.. it was the 2nd one when she screamed the house down. ISnt gavascon for reflux???? wheerre do u get it? is it over the counter?
Yep for Reflux! u get it over the counter and just put it in her formula - we only used one sachet per bottle - she had it for every bottle for a couple of weeks than put it in only her morning, afternoon, and night time bottle now she only has it for morning and night bottle than we will do it either morning or night than none! It really has been fantastic! Pead was happy that we are using it - said its very sensitive on their stomachs however it can make them slightly constipated - which it did on and off for Bianca but than we just used coloxyl - the constipation was never too bad!
When Izzy had hers it was 3 needles and the oral stuff.... blerh. Not very nice, I hate it. James has been ok but a little bit clingy which is fine because Iz slept for THREE hours today - that is just unheard of so the needle obviously affected her a bit. I spent all arvo cuddling my little guy and feeding him 2 hourly today.
DH has been like a bear with a sore head - ugh I hate it when men get sick. No fluffy mail that I was expecting either - boohoo I hope I get it tomorrow! I ordered bubblebubs foamy wash today too to use with cloth wipes! :D
Hollye - I hope Mia and you get some sleep tonight.
Hippie - Im jealous! I so want to get away but I don't think its going to happen - friends of ours are camping up on the river, I'd love to go but Izzy is just too fast and little.
Hello to everyone I've missed - sorry for the slack personals.
We are having needles on Wednesday:(
3 needles!!! yucky! I'm glad they've brought it down to 2. Can you imagine if they had to give separate injections for every immunisation. That would make 5 or 6 per visit or something wouldn't it? Liam was fine with everything but the last one as well - the nurse said that's pretty normal. Really, they're over it pretty quickly. I'm sure it effects us a lot more than them - emotionally at least. :)
Did you see the news story about the 14pound baby born recently?????!!!!!!! :o I think they said that was around 6kg - bigger than Liam now. Imagine just carrying that in your belly!!!!
Apparently the biggest baby ever born was around 24pounds. But its parents were both super tall circus 'freaks' - and unfortunately it didn't live very long (sorry bout the 'it', I don't know if it was a girl or boy).
Hollye, sorry about all the hard work with Mia lately. Hope you find a solution soon.
Tan, what's Bubblebubs Foamy Wash?
1stbub - Im so glad the needles are combined - imagine 6or 7 needles... yuck. Bubblebubs foamy wash is a concentrated bum wash that that you can pump onto bubs bot or a cloth wipe to clean them at each nappy change instead of using disposable wipes. The pump container makes it all foamy. I think I will use cloth wipes at home and disposables out.
James had a good night slept til 4 and had a bit of a fever, he was really sweaty too poor thing but I gave him a huge feed and he went back til 9 and is now happy as! Yay! Was worried I would have 2 grizzly bubs after yesterday but both seem not too bad really! Have a good day all we are off to buy handles for our new kitchen - it's been a bit awkward to open them!! :D
Hi all!
im very sorry i don't have time for personals, we have a few house's to check out today and the bank to see so i just popped in for a quick hello!
I think Bianca is wanting to go to bed earlier of a night time now! woo hoo was soooo over staying up until 2200-2230! now she has been going to bed around 2100-2130! very happy with that - and she sleeps until about 0400-0500 but this morning it was 2130-0600 than back to sleep! Being over 2mths old must be exhausting work! hehehe
Anyway have a nice day all! Give ur little bubs a Big cuddle from me :D
xoxo
Harmony
Tan - oh i bet.. too bad if u were starving and couldnt get the cupboard open! lol. glad to her both ur kidlets are doing well.
HJ - thats great shes going to bed earlier.. Mia is pretty good with her night time sleep but lastnight she was restless from about 4:30 from DP tossing and turning and making noises. Going to try the cot thing that Katones is doing today i fink... (in the 1-15th group)
not bad here.. had to go to centrelink this morning coz they decided to stop my payments coz Matt didnt have enough I.D.. what the?? mind u ive been getting paid for weeks now..
are any of u talking about when u will have another kiddy? Me n matt have.. we think mayb when Mia is 3 or 4. But as i said to him, i just wanted to be a mummy and now i am i would be happy with just her the rest of my life :)
in the immortal words of swiper the fox "ooooohhhh maaaan!" AF is back...no fair..I didn't get it back with DD till I weaned her from breast feeding I am sooooooo depressed:hide:
:pms:At least I can now use this cool emoticon LOL
very cute tan!!! and woohooo for 5000 posts!!!!!!!!!!!!!
OMG!! Haha! Chatterbox that I am!
Tan how cute, I'm looking at putting Julian in cloth in the New Year, so I'm guessing I'm going to be just as excited as you are.
Blizz sorry to hear you've got AF back how rude, I've been lucky with all the boys and not got her back until I weaned as well, just hoping it will be the same this time.
We had a great christmas, the boys loved ripping open all their pressies and playing with them on the day. Julian got spoilt too, he got heaps of clothes and two stuffed animals (a monkey and a blue bear) both so soft and snuggly, some squeeky chew toys and a train that makes lots of noise and moves.
I've decided that I need to lose all this extra weight that has slowly been staying after each birth and I've joined the 2009 body transformation, fingers crossed I can still lose some even though I'm b/fing.
hugs xoxo
Tan - i like the colour of the BG ones! they all look so cute tho - makes me want to buy some - but for some reason i think they look like more effort than the good old fashioned cloth nappies that im using? i was given one of those nappies at my baby shower - bumblebee or something which i havent quite worked out how to use! it has a cover also!
Hollye - i saw what Katones did with her bub and cot - its a good idea! im glad tho that i just put B in her cot from day one! it was hard tho - and i was up nearly every hour just checking on her! DH and i havent exactly talked about bub number 2 yet but DH has mentioned he Definatly wants a 2nd bub but only 2! i cant wait to be pregnant again, which is something i never thought i would hear my self say - but because i have so many regrets with labour etc this time, i want a 2nd chance also so thats another reason why i want another bub - besides the fact i love being a mum and can't leave B to be a only child! I think we will wait until she's at least 2 or 3 tho! wanna drag it out a bit cause the 2nd one will be the last one! How many are u planning on having?
Blizz - heheh sorry that AF is back! sucks dosent it! mines been and gone and due to come in about 2wks time again! in away im happy that it came back - cause now my body seems to be back on track with what its suppose to do as in AF and Oing etc.... so will make it easier when it comes time for bub number 2 - which is a loooong way off!
Amanda - i have joined the 2009 body transformation thing also! so we can do it together! Tan is in it too!
Dosent BFing help with weight loss?
The ones I have are all AIO's so no covers. I wouldnt have a clue how to fold a terry so these are just like sposies for me but I have to wash them! Too easy! I need to get a little squirt though, just cleaned her poo off with disposable chopsticks so I could chuck them out! The trickiest bit is putting the insert in and thats easy!! I've just chucked the 2 in the wash that the kids wore today and will hang them out as soon as they are done. I made the mistake of leaving the BG on Izzy for too long though and she has a terrible nappy rash now the poor love. :( I've got to get otu the habit of leaving her too long - Huggies are really absorbant but these aren't so I need to remember that. She wouldn't even have a bath - UNHEARD of she LOVES her baths.
Tan - u crack me up! that is sooo funny about the chopsticks :rolf:
But on a more serious note - poor Izzy - wouldn't be very nice to have nappy rash!
ops  that is how is goes - i typed it wrong!
