Amanda,
That's great to hear, we've got some real movers in this group!!! I love this stage the giggles and huge smiles they give when they see you are amazing!!!
Glad to hear that all's well!
Hj,
Have you heard yet hun????
Still got my fingers crossed for you!!
I'm hoping to get Hayden weighed tomorrow if the midwifes in at our chemist I'm thinking that he'll be in the 6kg bracket or not far off it!
Tanstar,
Good on you if the dummy works then use it hun, you need to come first so you can look after them!!! Enjoy the time with your ILs!!!
Blizz,
How are you going??
Hollye,
How'd your 21st go hun???
Hi to everyone else!!!
Hope you all have a great evening, I'm off to clean the bathroom while Hayden's asleep!
Hi everyone, I haven't been around for a while as our internet has been down. Sounds like lots has been happening.
Hollye - Happy belated b'day, hope you had a great day!
Hippie - yeah for Banjo rolling over. Olive's not quite there yet but is trying very hard. I also wanted to mention some great washers/cloths I got which are kinda like what you decribed with the towelling and flannel. They are Nature's child organic baby cloths and they are gorgeous, sooooo soft.
hj - good luck with the house offer.
I'm worried about Olive at the moment. She hasn't been drinking properly(average 40-100mls) and today has had really strong smelling concentrated urine. I don't know if I should take her to the doc's or not? It's also been quite frustrating cause I spend half my life expressing and have had to waste heaps over the past couple of days. She slept well last night but saturday was a shocker all day and night so will see how tonight goes.
On a better note Olive is playing with her toys so much now and even knows how to press buttons on a couple which is so cute as she giggles afterwards. She is also moving around heaps. On saturday night when she woke up I went into her room and she had gotton out of her wrap and was facing the opposite way in her cot.
Only 2 and a half mths until I go back to work, wahhhh. It's going so fast!!!
21 was good. Went out to matts parents sat night and they had all ballons up and got me a cake and a tiara and a wand and everything. It was so sweet I also got a SS slow cooker from them. Anyone know anything to cook in it???
Olives mummy - 40-100mls! thats great compared to Mia. She will have about 80mls and spew a good 60 back up. Shes got a doc appointment tomorrow tho and shes also got strong smelling urine.
naww her little bottom tooth is just sitting there below the gum. shes biting and chewing everything she can get her hands on. today that was even the side of the pram
Amanda - hahaha how cute - what a cheeky monkey! ive been pee'd on heaps of times - Bianca knows just the right moment to do it - gotta be quick with her!
Hollye - glad u had a good 21st! and how cute that Mia is chewing on her pram!!!! what a good little girl she is driving mummy bonkers with her chewing on everything!
Snoopea and Olivesmummy - im not happy!!!!!! The realestate came over last night to tell us that our offer wasnt accepted - which is fine but.......... the stupid male owner didnt even budge a single CENT! He came back with a counter offer that was the asking price! what a JERK! no wonder they are going thru a divorce at the mo - sounds like the wife is better off without him! she was very happy with our offer but not him!
I said to the realestate guy if thats the case than u need to put the price on the website with NON NEGOTIABLE next to it - other wise ppl are wasting their own time!
we were happy to go a bit higher but now he can shove his house! what a stupid idiot! the house has been on sale for awhile and they havent had a offer on it yet and he goes and does that! man we were fumming - but no skin of our noses - pleanty of houses out there and prob better! thanks for letting me get that off my chest! hehehe
We also had Bianca weighed yesterday - she is 5.7kgs 59cm long and head i think was 40cm!!! was told that i have a little girly girl on my hands! whatever that mean?!
HJ what an a-hole, I agree that woman would be better off without him. I think that they meant that B will be a petite girl instead of a tomboy kinda girl.
Julian is starting to bulk up a bit, might have to go and get him weighed soon haven't had him weighed since his two month needles and he was 6.1kg then so he's defineately bigger now, it's so cute he's starting to get rolls now, lol.
Hollye,
You'll love the slow cooker, I use mine alot in winter! Easy meals basically throw it in and let it go you can cook most of your casseroles in it! Best of luck with the dr!
Amanda,
How cute!!! Love the ticker photo's I can believe how fast they're growing up won't be long and they'll be crawling!
Hj,
How horrible, but I agree shove the house, you'll find better hun!
Olivesmummy,
Could be a urine infection, hopefully Olive keeps her feeds down for you! Great to hear she's playing with her toys!
Hope your all staying cool today, going to be 41 here so already got the aircon going and keeping everything shut! Fingers crossed the house stays around the low 20's or I'll be going insane can't stand the heat since Hayden was born!! MIL think's its hormonal but I'm sooooo over it tho!
Hello everyone,
Olive still isn't drinking properly and has continued to have concentrated urine though it is a bit better. I decided to take her to the clinic and get CFHN's opinion. There was a different lady there who I haven't met before and she said that I should just see how she goes over the next 24hrs and that she has probably just had a virus or something. She looks fine and alert which is a good sign. I'm still worried about the feeding but Olive has put on 350gms in a week and now weighs 6.8kgs so that has to be a good sign. This CFHN stressed me further though by saying that she should be drinking 180mls per feed judging by her weight. At the moment she is having 60ish but normally 120. Back to the pump for me! I have just looked into hiring an electric breast pump as up until now I have been manually pumping and that is bloody hard work. Alright i'm off to express and have a sleep.
Olivesmummy - my gosh i cant believe u have been manually pumping for all this time - i gave that a go and it is way hard work! its full on! good on u for getting this far with it tho!
Amanda - phew thats okay i can prob handle a petite girl - however i think a tomboy would be easier! Juilian might be almost 7kgs now - i love finding out how much weight they have all put on - love getting Bianca weighed - however there will come a time when she will hate putting on weight! and arnt the little fat roll sooooo cute! Bianca is starting to get them on her legs - and she has a pudgy tummy when she sits up! hehehe
Snoopea - apparently the realestate is going to have a chat with this guy and see what the lowest he will go is - and than he is comming over today at 1730 to tell us - i really dont think i want this house any more!
and 41!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! YUCKY - i hate it when it gets over 28!!!!! let alone 41!!!!!! u so should move to brisvegas!
Hollye - how is Mia going? have u still got her on infant gaviscon? are u still looking at moving to Brisvegas?
well that appointment was interesting.. Got a refferal to see a pead so that will be good. Long story short, doc wants me to think about starting Mia on solids. Just bland stuff like mashed spud and pumpkin. Shes growing but shes still a little bub. Im not sure about the solids thing so im gonna see what the pead says and the MCHN says next week. Also her concentrated urine means she may not be getting enough fluid but he also said the weather can do that to them. The hotter the weather, the more fluid they lose, hence y they dont have as much fluid running through them.
HJ - yep.. didnt work the gaviscon. *sigh* yep brisvegas here i come!! sometime this year...
HJ - Bugger about the house. Men can be sooooo stupid at times. If you guys don't end up buying the house I hope it takes ages for them to sell it, serves the man right for not taking your offer. Jeez I sound nasty don't I??
Olivesmummy - Hope everything with Olive sorts itself out soon. Try not to stress and it is a good thing she is putting on weight. I am sure if she was starving she'd let you know. Wow on the pumping all this time. You've done so well.
Snoopea - Hope you're feeling nice and cool in your aircon. I wouldn't be heading outside today, I don't know how you handle 41 degrees. I hate it when it gets to 35 degrees here.
Hollye - Thats strange that the dr wants you to think about putting Mia on solids already. I'd definitely wait and see what the Pead has to say.
Well I'm happy to say that the house is sitting at 22 degree's here with the aircon on so I'm happy with that, went out to get the mail and discovered how well it's working! lol
Hj,
Wish we were closer it would be great to meet up pitty we're all so far apart! Don't think I'd move to brizzy tho, I'm an Adelaide girl much to my hubby's horror!!!
Leigh,
How are you going??? How's Lara???
Hollye,
Britney was started on solids at 3months, we had alot of trouble with her feeding she's still picky now!!! Best of luck, give it a try if it doesn't help it doesn't but if it does Mia will be putting on some weight for you! I'd see the pead first tho, just to check out what he thinks Mia should be doing!
Olivesmummy,
Sounds like your doing a great job!!!! Pumping is hard work, I used an Avent manual pump with DD for 8 weeks as she wouldn't feed from me and it was a nightmare!!!!
Hope that Olive is better soon, it so concerning when they change routine especially with food!
wooohooo OlivesmummY! seems she was just having a couple "off" days.
yeh no rushing into solids here. Will def wait to see what the pead thinks. Im sure he would rather be putting her on medication rather than starting solids this early..dont u think?
Poor little poppet was screaming her lungs out earlier and i gave her some Gaviscon and it calmed her down a fair but so im gathering her reflux was playing up. Shes sleeping now.. she will be asleep till about 7am now. Oh but i give her a feed at 11pm but she doesnt wake up much.
really should go wash the bottles...
how does everyone wash their bottles here?? mine get washed in warm soapy water, rinsed then soaked in bottle dis infectant and then sterilized every night. Believe it or not it doesnt take that long to do..
Hollye - I wash the bottles along with the breast pump after every feed/pump. I just use hot water and a bottle brush then sterilise in a microwave steriliser. I find washing them straight away does'nt cause a build up and they are easier to clean.
hello lovely ladies...I have been sooo antisocial..nothing personal I have only just discovered facebook ( behind the times I know!!!)
Well things are going well here, Angus is great and growing everyday (I swear he does it in his sleep or something...he's huge!!!)
It is almost crunch time for me I have officially hit the annual leave part of my Maternity leave so I guess decision time is here have some thinking to do, though I don't think I need to think to hard have virtually decided not to return to work and will try something new which will let me stay home...Angus is way to small for me to leave him I only just survived going back to work when Paige was 6mths old, can't do it again...it looks like family day care here we come!!!
Will be back again soon but have so much to do at the moment love and hugs to all and kisses to the babies xxxxx
Olive'smummy-That's great news!! she's on the mend!!
Hollye-I would be waiting to talk to the paed too. I think its a bit too early for solids. Oh and you will LOVE your slow cooker! Its all I use in winter!! Soooo easy!
Blizz-Glad to hear everything is going well!
HJ-What happened with the house??
Amandaj-I agree, I love the rolls! Too cute!!!
to everyone I've missed!!
I'm planning on doing a lot of packing today. We are moving at the end of the month (hopefully-we are building) so I better get my butt into gear!!
wow thank god yesterday is now in the past - i had a hell day with Bianca!
Leigh and Hippy - yep men can be sooo stupid! the latest on the house bit now is the real estate when and saw him again to see what the lowest he would go was, he ended up going down $7000 which ended up only being $2000 on what we would of gone up too - and if it really came down to it we prob would of accepted his offer, but cause of what a jerk he was we have put in a final offer of $5000 more than what we offered which is $14000 less than the asking price! we said its a take it or leave it offer - we are not playing his stupid game - there are pleanty more houses out there, and we have done our research and we know what houses are going for out in that area! so we will find out later this arvo if he accepts our final offer! in away im hoping he dosent cause im not sure i want that house anymore -its a really nice house but now im thinking it has bad stigma attached to it! and i wasnt a fan of the area! oh well will see what happens!
Blizz - good on ya for making that decision - im thinking i will be leaning towards staying at home too and maybe just doing casual work (for my own sanity) i dont want too put Bianca in care -
Hollye - yep i think its a good idea to wait and see wat pead says! but im sure if crunch came to crunch maybe a bit of rice cereal would be better than medication! but i wouldnt want too be putting Bianca on solids just yet so u have a big decision to make! and what ever u choose will be the right one for Mia! your her mummy u know best!
also i was Bianca's bottles in warm soapy water and sterilize them after every use!
Snoopea - well u might have to come for a holiday to Brissy sometime than!
Olivesmummy - sounds like things are getting back on track for u!!!
Tan - how are u going? how are ur 2 bundle of joys going also? how long until DH gets home in ur loving arms?
