    lol

re nappies - yep crawlers. Thats what Mia is in (they are still a tad big) and shes only just coming up for 5.7 kilos. I found the infant ones got small quick and were too tight. I think thats y they come in smaller packets (huggies). as for nappies go. I have heard the new Sorbie ones are pretty good and they are cheaper than huggies. I have also heard the Aldi brand ones are good and Snugglers. HTH

we brought a new car!! yay!! 2000 AU Ford Futura and its beautiful!

2 more sleeps till Mia's appoinment yay!!!

1stbub27 - The pump took a bit of getting used to actually. I had a really good Tommy Tippee manual pump but everyone convinced me to go electric now i'm kinda in 2 minds about it. I think the manual is quicker and not as harsh on the nipples but the electic is good cause you only need one hand and don't get RSI from the trigger action. My left breast has also decided that it doesn't want to be pumped at all anymore so am feeding off that side and hoping that my nipple doesn't get too sore.
Hollye - Hope Mia's feeding gets sorted soon, it's been so worrying for me with Olive and thats only been for a week.
Hi to everyone else. Have a lovely Sunday.

Hollye - WOOOHOOO on the new car! What colour is it?

1stBub27 - LOL - yeah i think u need some sleep too! as for the nappies - we use Huggies Bianca is still in the infant ones - she still has pleanty of room in them! which suxs cause u cant buy them in bulk - i have heard tho that the ALDI ones are really good - havent tried them yet - dont have a local ALDI -but if u try them let me know what u think!

Olivesmummy - so sorry to hear about Olive's kidney prob! its great that u were onto it pretty quick tho - hope its nothing too bad!

Hippie - poor bubba still havin the conjunctivitis - thats pretty yucky - are u massaging his eye area? when Bianca had a blocked tear duct that helped heaps along with saline - it might help with conjunctivitis also????

Tan - hello out there - how are u going?

Well thank you for asking everyone - the open house went i guess okay on sat - had 4ppl come thru 3 of which seemed intereset and asked questions - but no offers at this stage
Im sure someone will buy it soon! hopefully!
Bianca is doing well - she has been a bit grizzly lately and feeding every 2hrs?! must be having another growth spurt - but she never drinks the whole bottle - so not sure what the go is - she is watching us eat now days and making movements with her mouth as if she want some?! isnt she too young to be showing interest in solids?

Hm, ok, so the last couple of days ive realised that where my c/s wound seems to be 'coming open' it feels like there's stitches coming up underneath, like its being forced out by my body. Then there was a bit up at the surface of the skin. So this morning I pulled that out a bit and cut off about 2cm of it (it was stuck on either end so couldn't get anymore out). Then just now after my shower i noticed the end was stiking out further than what id cut it off as. So i thought id pull it out to cut off as much as possible, and it just kept sliding and sliding until a good 8cm piece came out. .....has my body just not dissolved the stitches for some reason, or did they use the wrong stitches? (coz they were stitched inside, so its not like i was supposed to have them taken out)...! Anyway, now i know at least 2/3 of the stitches have come out and should heal up properly now. I can still feel some on the last 1/3 so i guess they'll come to the surface at some point. ...did i mention the doctor who did my c/s had *****ed himself with a needle earlier that afternoon...? (a clean one, but really!!) . Hardly worth suing but its tempting. Oh and he said they should put me back onto the Synto drip after me and bub had reacted REALLY badly to it, to which the MWs forcefully said they REFUSED to do that.

Thanks everyone for the tips on nappies. I don't need a lot so that might count out the Aldi and Woolies packs if they're too big. I'll have a look (I'm such a miser now we're on 1 pay. I love it!)

Hollye, congrats on the new car!!! And on Gas too! Very nice!! We'd looked at a few Futuras to replace my little Lanos but thought fuel might be too much. Didn't find any on gas tho.

Apart from that I'm having problems getting Liam to BF. After having a girls night last Friday and him getting 2 full bottle feeds he screams and pulls away with BF now. Buuut, this morning I put my finger in his mouth which he sucked then slipped the bb in, so we'll see how long that trick lasts..... wish me luck!

1stbub - OMG I would freak out if my scar did that hun! From about week 2 when all my steri strips came off mine has been a clean red thin line and that's it - I do get a weird feeling on one side when I cough and sneeze - really sharp ***** of pain on the inside like something is pulling but after 3 mths I would have thought it was all healed - so odd.

Hollye - Gosh you have had a rough trot with Mia hun, must be so frustrating for you both - hope you find some answers too hun. Hooray for a new car!! Enjoy it!

HJ - Fanks love! BUmmer about the offers but all it takes is one remember! Hopefully it will sell soon! I told DH today on Skype that we putting this place on the market as soon as he gets home! He goes - OH ok. He knows I am desperate to move!

Hippie - How is Banjo's eye going? I hope it clears up really quickly for you hun poor lil fella. A bit of an aside to your other post - James has been sleeping 12 hours for a number of weeks and just in the last few days it has been warmer so he has been waking for a feed at 3-4am - they know when they need more and will ask!

Olivesmummy - Poor Olive - I hope she gets well soon. Poor poppet. I haven't used an electric pump since leaving hospital but I LOVE my manual pump. I love that you can slow down or stop easily if you get sore, and you control the extent of the pull. Just make sure she is attaching really well on that side hun and you shouldn't get too sore. Reattach as many times as it takes to get her on right.

Not sure who asked but I have tried Huggies, Sorbies, Select (safeway) and Baby Love nappies. I love Huggies for nights (Izzy is a BIG wetter) and they never leak, Baby Love are ok too but occasionally leak. Sorbies are GREAT. Night nappy holds her big wees and I find the Safeway brand terrible - sorry AmandaJ. They are so thin compared to the others and they always leak. Having said all that, that's what I've used on Izzy -James has been in Huggies since he was born, I wasn't willing to risk rash like Izzy got as a young baby with Baby Love (she's fine with them now!) and he is in cloth full time now anyway.

Hello blizz, Leigh, Snoopea and everyone else I have missed! Can't read back muc further!
Well we had MG in the park today because the Neighbourhood house we go to didn't leave us the key! Kids had a ball but it was pretty warm! Both kids are in bed now and I will get the shell pool out later for Izzy when she wakes up. I've got all the house closed up for the warm week ahead! Off to clean a bit before one of them wakes up! Have a great MOnday all!

Tan - i can just imagine DH's reply to u saying ur putting the house on the market when he gets back how is he going in Canada? when is he due back?

1stBub27 - i would freak also if i had a c-section scar that did that - thank god i didnt have a c-section, i didnt cope well with my little scars from having my gall bladder removed while preg - let alone a big scar! hehehe im a woss!!! - is it sore at all?

1stbub-I would be really worried and I would be going to the dr's to get it checked. I was the same as Tan, just a thin red line and have had no problems with it. Worth getting it checked just in case.

Sorry for the lack of personals I really need to wash some dishes!! Be back later!

Istbub27 - I use Seventh Generation bio nappies when I use disposables, they aren't the cheapest but are way better for the environment so I feel better about it and are really absorbent.

Tan - Welcome back! Re the pumping unfortunatly I pretty much have to express full time as Olive has a really high palette and short fenulum so damages my nipples every feed. Hopefully eventually she will grow out of this as she gets bigger but no matter how much I attach and reattach it doesn't make a whole lot of difference.

Hollye - Good luck tomorrow, hopefully you get some answers and a plan of action.

Olive seems to be doing much better. She is drinking pretty well again and is really good at taking her anti-biotics which I thought she would probably spit out. She will have the ultrasound wednesday so hopefully nothing to major comes of that.

Went shopping today with mum and Olive and tried on another hundred dresses for my sisters wedding. Finally found the one, yah. It's long black lace with a caul neck and a slip with a matching belt and will look nice with some black heels and the right jewellery.

I got my mum a big bunch of flowers today to say thanks for everything as she has been soooooooo wonderful and we ahve always been close but I appreciate her so much more now that i'm a mum too. She was also a godsend when I was in labour and helped give DH a break over that gruelling 50hrs of hell. She visited most days but was never over bearing, cleaned the house while I was in hospital, the list goes on and on. Does anyone else have a new appreciation for their mums or feel closer to them?

olivesmummy - what is your name? its easier to type ppls names i reckon. Yes i do feel more appreciative of my mum now that im a mum. It shows you just how much hard work they did do bringing us up and has made me look at my mum in a whole different light. I gave her a card from Mia saying "thanks for being such a great help for my mummy when i was growing in her tummy and wen i was in hospital, i love you nanny" and a big box of chocolates.. she loved it. re c/s scar.. mine i dont even notice but when i have an itch around it its still numb.. that feels odd. No opening here tho.. very thin line like the rest.

Mia's in bed.. im just chillin.... pead tomorrow! yay!! i just want some answers.. lets hope hes not a basket case and tells me not to worry.. its normal blah blah blah! coz ill be going to a different one, i KNOW somethings not right! got Mia some more singlets today (thats all she wears these days with a skirt or shorts) and it cost me $75! i wasnt expecting that! lol oh well..... she doesnt really like dresses, they seem to frustrate her a little.

OH Mia is holding her own bottle!!!!! only for a minute or so at a time but still!! wow!! shes growing up wayyyyy to quickly now. Soon we will be talking about solids.. that makes me a little sad...

hj - I saw a peadiatric speech pathologist and she said that hopefully as Olive gets bigger and her mouth grows she will be able to breastfeed without damaging my nipples but wouldn't operate or anything. Apparently sometimes they put a prosthetic palette in as well but Olive's wasn't bad enough for that. So that is why I express but I still pray that one day I can BF full time. I BF about one feed a day and some comfort feeding as well if the nipples aren't to bad. I can't wait to one day have normal nipples again! I would have given up a million times if it wasn't for all the brilliant people supporting me and my sheer subborness. Next time round you'll know alot more so don't be to hard on yourself.

Hollye - I don't mean any offence but I don't like to put personal details on the net which is why my name or town aren't on here. If Olive'smummy gets a bit annoying to type just call me OM. Like I said nothing personal it's just how I feel about it.
What time is the big appointment?
