Hollye - I am glad Mia is more settled for you and eating more, fingers crossed it keeps up!
Amanda - I hope the physio works for Julian, poor little thing, has he got a flt head from it as well? James seemed to favour one side for a long time but the hammock seems to have helped but now I feel he is too big for it!
OM - Yay for Olive! What a clever girl! That is great that you have an ABA group - I love my MG and being able to get together with the girls. We are still so close and nearly all of us stll go nearly 2 years on!
1stbub - Don't ya hate that. I swear the computers know when we are typing a big post and lose it deliberately!
Cathie - Glad the twins are doing so well! NIce to hear from you!!
sneakiesparkle - Good to hear from you - its a challenge juggling a toddler and bub too isn't it! Epsecially when one is feeding and the other wants an "ug" (hug)
Hello to everyone I have missed! DH flies in tomorrow! I am stalking him on flight tracker again and so far no delays and he is in Chicago! Hopefully his flight from LA won't be delayed either, we pick him up at 930 tomorrow morning, gosh it's gone fast but slow too and I just can't wait to see him!
Should hear the sound James is making, he is under his play gym on the floor and has been chatting happily away at it but I think he is hungry now so it's a combo of Im happy/hungry/ upset that grandma put me in sposie.... Off to sort him out!
Hi
Hollye - You would beable to do it, it's amazing what you have to do when you are put into a situation where you had no say in it. 2 babies was not what i was expecting, now I would'nt have it any other way. How's Mia ?
Tanstar - thank you for your for your kind words. How's James?
Tan, I was reading your other post about James' feeding and I could have written the exact same thing! I'm glad to see my boy isen't the only one fussy about! Hopefully its just the heat and once we go back to normal melb weather they'll sort themselves out!
We are off to the eye speacialist tomorrow! I'm really hoping we get an answer as to what's going on with his eye.
Anyway gotta go wash the car seat, we had a lovely poo explosion in the car on the way home! What fun!
Hi everyone!!
Sorry I haven't been on, we've been busy here with a christening for my nephew and then I got conned into working this week so it's been flat out!
Hayden was bare weighed on tuesday and was 5.96kg and 63cm long, he's going to be tall from the look of it!
Last night he slept from 8:30pm to 5:30am it's the second time he's done it now and I'm hoping he keeps it up, normally he wakes for a feed at 4am-4:30am!
How are you all going???
We've decidied to venture up to the gold coast in march and booked our tickets tuesday night so we won't change our mind! I've never been up there before so looking forward to it! Has anyone used a quicksmart stroller before looking at one for Hayden to take with us!
Anyway better run and get dinner underway before the monkeys destroy the house!
Counting down the minutes till Britney goes back to school had enough of the sibling love they've been giving each other!!!
Popping in quickly to say Hippie - these monkeys keep us on our toes dont they - James has had a few better feeds today but still fast - only around 8 mins!
MCHN check up today - J man is 6.540kgs! I thought he would be a bit heavier! 61cms long and head is 43.8 cms - hehe boof head!!
I weighed Liam yesterday and he was 6.25kg with just his nappy on.
I've been having feeding issues and did a thread in the BF forum, and some of the girls mentioned bubs often get fussy again around 3 months as their feeding pattern changes again. The general gist was that they're adjusting and feeding becomes more efficient so they often don't feed for as long. Some said their bubs fed for around 10-15 mins only some feeds. I've never heard of that before....
Why don't we get all this information somewhere?! Having a baby is frustrating the way things are now. Once upon a time women would have seen other bubs at all stages of their growth and had others with them to calmly and naturally tell them things. Now, each of us have to work it out for ourselves and hope we stumble on the right bit of information. Meanwhile we have MG's that are often all 1st time mums too so we're all just stumbling thru it together. ...I think we all do a good job given that, which says something for the inate abilities of women, but it could be easier...somehow.... *gets down off her soapbox*
Anyway, congrats Hollye on Mia increasing her feed so quickly!!! That's gotta feel good! Really hope it keeps up for you!
1stbub- James feeds for 10-15 mins max one side only per feed. The last few days it has been 5 mins per feed. It changes all the time - just take your lead from bub and you can't go wrong! Our village is much smaller these days and in many cases nearly non-existent. I love my mg though so nice to hear how others are going and to share stories about our terrific toddlers!!
