    Hi All,

Just another quick one from me, have been out all day again today... Hoping tomorrow will be a better day. Anyway V has been quite unsettled, her nose is still quite congested.

If anyone is doing WW's and you go online there too, I am under csab1972, couldnt get csab. Just so you have a familiar face in there.

I am so proud of you ladies you are doing so well with your weight loss. Good on you. Those bubbas are doing well too, look at howgood they are going with their weight gains. V has her pead appt next week so I can give an official weigh in for her then. I am a bit worried she may not have put on as much as I have thought she would have. She hasnt been eating all that great.

    Hi eveyone,
I'm a bit depressed today as I found out this morning that the infection I have in my nipples is resisitant to all normal AB and the ones I need I can't BF with. I had 3 choices, pump and dump for a week and use formula then go back to expressing, wean, or go to hospital for 5 days and have intravenous AB's which I can bf with. I chose the first option but am feeling pretty down. Expressing is hard enough work without tipping it down the sink. I have enough freezer reserves for probably 2 days but am going to space them out across the week just to keep Olive used to the taste of bm. I think if it was closer to the 6mth mark I would just stop bfing but i'm so passionate about it. But at the same time I need to look after my own health and if I get anymore infections will have to go away to a specialist to check my immune functions. The AB are hardcore ones that can effect your mental state so hopefully I get none of that, i'm tired enough without that thankyou very much. Arrgg, ok.
Sorry no personals, just needed a vent.

I found it easier just to buy the unlimited from WW which was $59.95per mth, which includes online, meetings. They just charge the c/c every mth. Have a look on the WW website to see what you feel comfortable with. If you want to do the meetings, I think it is more value for money to do the unlimited. IMO. I thought I just needed a kick up the rear to keep myself on track. I hope Mia is OK with all the smoke around. I hope the fires are away from you and you are safe. hugs

    Morning Everyone and Bubs
Just a quick one - i have a sick little bubba on my hands - Kev and i have been up with her ALL night - she has a cold/flu - is couging continuosly, sneezing, vomiting, has a very mucuosy nose and is finding it hard to breath, and is very miserable!
She has hardly slept at all! my poor bubba girl! and my gosh how heartbreaking is it to see! I even had a cry with her last night!
Any tips on how to help her?

OM - awwww im so sorry to hear that - but u are strong - and BFing is your thing - u are doing so well, so just look at this as another bump in the road - once u get over it all will be fine!

HJ thanks for the number firstly, secondly there's not much you can do for the poor little thing, maybe rasie the cot a little or some baby fess from the chemist to clear her nose, if she starts to run a fever just take her to the Drs to make sure nothing else is up, big it's hard when your little one is sick.

Julian had his needles on Tuesday and again he had a small reaction, ie fever, but panadol fixed that, has been a bit grumpy as well, oh the joys of immunisations.

HJ - oh no, your poor little darlin. My advice to you is, nice warm baths. Put some baby vicks on her chest, back and the soles of her feet and put socks on. If u have fess, use that to get rid of some of the gunk up her nose. Dont be worried about using panadol/nurofen.. if u were sick u would take something wouldnt u?? Get some glen 20 from the supermarket to get rid of all the germies floating around the house. Apart from all that theres not much u can do, just ride it out but try and keep her as comfortable as possible. The doctor told me babies colds/flu's can last up to 5 weeks! Make sure she keeps drinking so she doesnt get dehydrated, and check her temp as she may have a fever..
Let me know how u go xoxoxo

Hollye - i have been checking her temp cause she feels really hot - but it hasnt gone above 37.3!
Can we use vicks on them now? havent seen the baby one - do u get it from chemist?
she is totally off her formula too - but im trying to give her small amount regularly so she dosent dehydrate! its horrible not being able to help them - breaks my heart!

While Otrivin Saline Baby† is used for baby's delicate nose, the Otrivin brand has a range of medicated topical nasal decongestants for adults & children over 2 years of age.

HJ - As Amanda had mentioned elevate her bed and of that doesnt work if you have a good rocker maybe let her sleep in that to help relieve her or even the pram with the seat tilted up a little bit, not laying completely down. Also use fess, either the spray or the drops as well as the nasal pump to help clear her nose. Also get some Vicks baby balsam and put it on her chest, back and her feet. I have also been using a spray called Medic (from the makers of lempsip) you spray it in the room, I use it more thru the day in the lounge room and dont spray too much of it as it can be a bit strong. I have been using through the night Sudaclear Vapour plugs which help alot. Vicks used to have one similar but no longer make it apparently. Or something else if you prefer not to use the plug ins get a vaporiser and the oils for it and have that on thru the night. The vaporisers are also very good. If you are really concerned about her take her to the DR and let them check her out. Let us know how she is doing. HUgs... Also should mention some baby panadol which you can use for colds and flu symptoms can help too.

Have only just read that she doesnt like fess if you are using the spray try the drops it does help. Also if she is a bit hot give her a bath and see if that helps also if you steam up the bathroom before you give her a bath can help too to clear her.
