Aw OM :hugs: Sorry you're having such a hard time ATM. Don't feel guilty about the bottle, you have no choice. Even if Olive were to remember it down the track I know she would understand. Baby's just love routine (can't blame them coming into this strange strange new environment) so the look and any unsettling is just due to that, not coz she thinks you're a bad mum. It's actually good she doesn't seem all that impressed with it. Should make it easier to wean her off it when you're all cleared up. That was my prob with Liam, he got the bottle and LOOOVED it. I'll be holding off on the bottle as long as i can for the 2nd one.
Liam can sit up for a few minutes on his own but he balances forward and i wonder how he can breath properly like that, though he seems happy...

Amanda - hope Julian gets better. Hopefully its just a short lived thing.
BTW, the play gym you have him on in the picture, with the bug (butterfly?) head - I have that one!!

HJ - I started Liam on rice cereal last Monday and Tuesday. I used the Rafferty's Garden organic with extra iron thing - in a squishy pack in Woolies. I haven't used it since coz he was cranky the afternoon afterwards, and has been good since i stopped. So I'll leave it a week or 2 then try again. Every book and website I've read up on has suggested starting at 4-6months, depending on the baby. I figured since he seemed hungry and interested I'd try and if we had problems i could stop and try a little later.

Oh! I've rediscovered my love for opshops! I picked up a multifunction bar-mix type thing with a good sized chopper for baby food, for only THREE DOLLARS!!!! LOVE a bargain.

    Have a great weekend everyone.

Well it seems as though all of our bubs have had bad reactions to their 4mth needles. After sleeping from 5:30pm-5:30am Olive woke up screaming and didn't stop. We gave her panadol and she slept but then was really off for the rest of the day with fevers and even spewed twice (she NEVER spews). She also has a nasty red mark and lump on one of her legs. She is asleep now after being dosed up again so hopefully she is better tomorrow.

p.s DH didn't go surfing and stayed home to help me so is in the good books again

i here u on the solids thing.. yeh im excited about starting Mia on solids but there is alot of work. Bottles are quite simple... water, formula, feed, wash, sterilize. It will be good tho to go through this all together as we can give each other all sorts of idea to what to give them. Im going to try and stick with BLS, the only jar stuff Mia will be having is pureed fruits as im not confident in giving her fruit peices just yet and i got some Heinz Organic Baby cereal (ide rather all the organic stuff) as im not crash hot on giving her toast just yet.

So its all there waiting.. most of it. Just need to pick my highchair up of layby which will still be a couple weeks..

hey all, sounds like all our bubbas are growing up. Meara is rolling over quite regularly now (still only 1 way) and is trying to pull herself up into a sitting position. She is also gnawing her fingers like crazy. I had her weighed last week and she is now 6.25kg. Woo hoo we made the 6kg mark lol. We still haven't been able to get her needles done yet as she is still sick and the dr won't do it until she is better. Spoke to him about getting pg again and he said it would be fine but I would need constant monitoring due to previous pre eclampsia and c/s. He feels that they will give me a trial of labour and see how I will go.

Sorry no personals today, Meara is crying again poor bubba.

    C ya's

PS i have lost .6kg this week so can you please update me thnx
