    Hi Girls,

OM - I am glad going to the dentist wasnt as bad as you expected. How many wisdom teeth did you get out? I got all 4 of mine done at once and it cost me $1400. It was cheaper to get all 4 done at the same time otherwise it would've been $500 per tooth. Poor little Olive, I hope she gets better soon!!!

Hollye - Yay on the weightloss, I don't weigh myself until Monday morning but I have a big weekend planned so I think this Mondays weigh in will be a gain and not a loss. Bugger the formula isnt working. I tried looking for it yesterday but couldnt find it. I did only go to two places though. Maybe you and I are just destined to have spewy babies. I had to change Lara's sheets this morning coz she spewed everywhere and I've washed her little comfort teddy twice today.

Didi - Now after having babies I would love to do a midwifery course. Jorda is so clever doing her first poo on the loo.

Well Lara is 5 months old today, I can't believe my little girl is growing so quickly.

It is my birthday on Sunday but DH is working on Saturday night and all day Sunday so he has planned a night away for the family tomorrow night. I have no idea where we are staying but it will be nice just to get away. We'll be going out for dinner etc so my diet will be blown out the window. Plus I am going for lunch with my friends on Saturday.

Well gotta go give Lara a bottle. Hi to everyone else.

    Thanks ladies..

So easy to put her on the potty with the tray and feed her solids and she goes to the toilet.. NOT hard..

so down another kg.. i got a key ring today at WW as i have lost 10% of body fat !! Woo hoo

Well done kiddies on solids!! the joys.
my pediatrition said most babies spew or spit up a lot till 7 months as body gets used to food and stomach starts adjusting.. Jorda spews all the time..no biggie.. just something that happens everyday.

Hollye - I was so impressed the new formula was working so well so quickly. I'm sorry its not going so well now. Strange she'd take to it then just go completely the other way. Arh! Parenting can be frustrating sometimes!

Didi - where did you get the idea to start toilet training so early?

OM - well done for getting the tooth pulled! I knew it would be easier than it sounded, but I know it takes a bit of guts to go through with it too. Great price! DH had his pulled about 2 weeks ago now and it cost $300! And he has another 2 to be pulled and quite a few fillings - guess that's what he gets for not going to the dentist since he was 8. Guess Krudd will be paying for all that. Does anyone know if the April payment (the one you get if you completed your tax return) is per person or per couple?
How's Olive going now? How scary on the rash and croup thing.

Leigh - did you get to aqua aerobics? You've got me dying to go to one now. Don't think I'll be able to just atm though (money/time/babysitting).
Is anyone considering taking their bubs to swimming lessons? Some of the mums at my MG are looking at prices & dates. Think they take them from 6 months. Pretty sure I'll be taking Liam along.

Kim - Sorry things are so tough there for you all ATM. Wish I could say something helpful, but just know I'm thinking of you and feel for you all. A very tricky situation. Keep your head up, girl.

Liam's gone back to sleeping through!!!!! Makes me one very happy mummy. And he seems to have stopped the squealing thing too. Any tips on how to get him to send himself to sleep? We rock him - which sends him to sleep in 5 mins but obviously isn't ideal (& yes I know everyone tells you not to do that from the start but you gotta do what you gotta do). Even if he's super tired, if i put him in his cot, he just thinks its a game and plays until he gets cranky (maybe 1/2 hour later) and then just cries and cries. No sleep though.

    Potty training early, WELL!

My mum did it with us when we were 6 months old and we were all potty trained day/nigth at 16 months or so.
Mum said, if you put baby on potty every morning after or with food they poop after they eat, which happens, they get used to it. So it works.. not hard and at least they get used to being on a potty and when thery are 15months or so and you start training then, they are not scared of the toilet and its something they are already used to as they are none the wiser.
When i put jorda on the potty she doesnt go EVERYTIME.. sometimes just pee's etc. which i think is better then in the nappy.
People say they will do it when they are ready.. well i personally disagree, its the parents that make the effort to have the child trained, I just like to give myself less work to do rather then more like changing nappies till they are 2.5 or 3 years old.

her potty has a tray on the front so she can sit there and not fall off etc.. SO easy..

Not much going on here, I took Julian for his check up at the physio this morning and his tilt has got better, but she is a bit worried that he isn't using his right hand very much, so we have some more exercises to do and have to go back after easter for another check-up. As for easter we've done all the shopping and have got everything for the boys and a very cute bunny for Julian.

Got my hair done yesterday arvo and I look decent again.

Didi sounds like you are doing well with the potty training, did you do it with Ben?

1stbub I think if it's working with rocking Liam to sleep then keep doing it, once he gets bigger you can change it, but you need some sanity and if rocking is doing that then so be it.

Happy 5mths Lara, I hope you had a great day yesterday.

Hollye what are you going to do about the formula, are you going back to the one you were using before.

    hugs xoxo

Hi girls, just a quick one today. I just got home from helping to deliver my new baby nephew! I wasn't planned to be in the birthing suite with them but got a call from my brother in law around 6.30pm (I think he felt completely out of his depth!) and went in about 1/2 an hour later. My poor sister was sooo exhausted but did so so well. And little Daniel is gorgeous! Born approx 1.05am. He was born 2 weeks before his due date. (I've already told her off about this since Liam was 2 weeks late ) My sister is on BellyBelly but I don't actually know her nic.

It's brought up really strange feelings about the c-section and birthing experience I had. Feeling more ripped off and 'incorrectly birthed' than I have. Might have to explore that a little more at a more sane hour.

Goodnight everyone! hope you're all sleeping well.

Ya i did the same thing with Ben. People say boys are harder then girls etc... I am not so sure even though Jorda is 6 months.. its how much work the mum wants to put in, babies will follow..

    Hi everyone,
Hope you are all enjoying your weekends
1stbub - That sounds so exciting, did it make you clucky? It probably is a good idea to research and think about your birth experience and why it went the way it did, I will be doing the same when we start trying for no.2. I hope you have had some more time to relect and realise that it is not your fault and you did what you could given the circumstances.
The April payment is per person as far as I know.

didi - you are a powerhouse, congrats on the weightloss and good luck with the toilet training.

Hollye - how is Mia going with the milk and solids?

I was at the dentist yesterday as I ended uyp with a dry socket, excruisiatingly painful. I'm going back to work tomorrow (where has 6mths gone?) so hopefully it's better by then as the whole thing is daunting enough.
Olive is still croaky but seems a little better. I have put her on soy formula when she has to have it so will see if that makes a difference and have stopped giving her rusks and only giving her baby porridge. Will see how she goes and take her back to docs if she doesn't improve soon. She never got a croup cough though. It's so cute when she gets upset now cause she yells "mum-mum, mummm" I know it doesn't mean anything yet but still. Dh is very jealous.

    Hi Girls,

Today is my birthday, I've had a pretty uneventful day as DH worked all day so the girls and I spent the day with my mum. Friday night was good though coz as I said the other day he had planned for us and the two girls to stay in a nice hotel and go for dinner. It was great, so relaxing I really enjoyed it. I didnt want to come home.

OM - Good luck tomorrow for your first day back at work, hope you don't have to start too early!!! Hope Olive gets better soon. Yay on her saying mum mum mummm. DD1's first word was Dada so I had better start teaching Lara how to say mum and hopefully it will be her first word.

1st bub - Congratulations on your new nephew, that would've been so special being there.

Gotta go, we just arrived back from my mums so I need to put the girls to bed and head for a shower.

Hope you all had a great weekend!

    Happy Birthday Leigh!!!!
I bet it was nice to have a night away from the housework and normal life and feel abit spoilt. Did you end up going out with a girlfriend for your b'day as well?

I don't have to start until 2pm thank goodness and work until 6pm so it will go really quick. My tooth is killing and Olive has decided to wake up though so hopefully I get a decent amount of sleep. She was horrendous yesterday, couldn't put her down at all without her screaming, not sure what the go is. It would be so much easier if they could tell us, need one of those machines like on the Simpsons where it decipheres Maggie's cries. I think I will take her to the doctors if she doesn't improve JIC she has developed and infection since Wednesday. She hasn't been coughing much though, luckily she has been feeding better. I hope she gets better, I feel guilty enough going back to work let alone if she is sick. Ok it sounds like she is asleep so i'm off to bed..again

    Hi everyone,
It's been quiet around here the past couple of days, how are you all travelling?
We have been caught up in the severe flooding up here on the MNC but thank god everyone is safe. My parents house floods and I was there when it came in and had to be evacuated with Olive. It happened so quick and was very stressful. We also lost a car in the flood, well we think it's lost, it got water up to the windows. My parents house got water chest height inside and didn't have time to move everything so it's been a hard time for them. We are used to floods but this is the worst it's been and is a 1 in 100yr event. Luckily we have had power, we are still cut off but have plenty of supplies and a corner store close by.

I also started work on Monday but haven't been able to go since the floods. It went ok until I got home and Olive was really upset as DH couldn't get her to sleep. She saw me and her little lip trembled and she cried harder and within 5mins of getting in my arms was asleep, poor darling. It was really distressing, I was crying as well. I know it will take time to get used to work but already I resent being away from my darling, I hope it gets easier soon. It has also made me assess whether I still want to be pumping full time as I would rather spend that time playing with Olive. I'll stick it out to 6mths but I think I will give up then as it's getting to hard.

Hope you are all well, nite nite.

Hollye - Have you tried changing the teat? V would thro up her bottle, then I tried Pigeon teats and bottles. But the teats fit in the avent wide neck bottles too. I find them really good and V hasnt had a problem since changing the teats. Try the pigeon one, hun I believe they also come in small neck bottle type too.

1stbub - Congratulations on being an Aunty, how nice to be there for your sister and watch him come into the world. Very special. As Amanda said if rocking is working for you just keep doing it, then maybe gradually cut down on it as Liam gets bigger. Babies love the closeness of being in mums arms. hugs

OM - I hope those floods settle down soon hun. It also is never easy when you start back at work is it. I hope you and Olive feel more settles about it soon. Lots of hugs

Leigh - Happy birthday for the other day hun, hope you had the best day. hugs

Didi - Hey there sweety, how is Little Jorda going? What a clever little one she is with her potty training.

V is doing really well, she is such a sweet beautiful little one. She always has a smile on her face. I have to wonder if her first word is going to be Poo poo's as I often heear her babbling with what sounds like poo poos and that what I always say to her when I change her nappy. Well one night she woke up chatting away to herself, then fluffed and all of a sudden staraight after her fluff. Poo poo's then that was it. So now I think about her coming to me when she is older and asking what her first word was. Could you imagine. Your first word was Poo poos. Not mama, dada, but poo poos
