trust this thread to go quiet when its weigh in day! lol
Mia's physio went good. They havent given her any exercises to do coz its not that bad. She is still able to turn her head to the left she just chooses the right coz thats the way she was in utero (trying to come out ear first). So she wants to see us again in a month and just said to encourage her to look to the left. Eg.. on floor, all toys on the left etc.
how did u go amanda?
-
Went well at the physio, I have got exercises. He can turn to the left now, has done for a while but now he has a tilt which we have to try and fix. He also has a slight knot in his left neck muscle, but the physio believes that in a month or two it should be better. Our next appointment is in a month so hopefully it will be much better.
HJ thanks, I really want to get a reading and I'm going to treat my SIL to a reading as well :)
hugs xoxo

what exercises? kinda like the ones Mia is doing?????

hi guys, sorry been busy and haven't been able to get on here. I didn't lose any weight last week but I didn't put on any either so all is ok. My problem is that my eldest DD is going anorexic again. She is now 173cm tall but only 48kg. She refuses to eat lunch and will try to get out of eating breakfast. I have found her lunches in the bin. I have taken her back to the dietician who told her that in a very short period of time that she would be in hospital being fed through a nasal gastro tube. She has told her that she needs to put on at least a kg before we see her next. I hope she can. So far she has lost 5kg and didn't need to lose it at all. To top it off she has gone all teenagey and is not listening to rules and trying to do whatever she wants. So she is now grounded for a month because she didnt come home from school until 5pm tonight.
Meara is doing well and wiggling all over the floor. When she smiles her whole face lights up.
Gotta go, Meara needs a shower.
Take care xx

Wow Kim, that must be so hard. My boss/friend is going through this with her daughter although she is 22 so it's a bit easier to rationalise with someone of her age then a moody teenager. She has taken her to a dietician and is also getting councilling which I think has been good for her. She has also found the whole experience extremly difficult to understand however has realised that it isn't about food. Has your DD been to a phyciatrist(sp) or something similiar? I hope that she puts on weight and doesn't have to go to hospital, what a worrying time for you and your family. Will be sending you lots of hugs and positive thoughts this week.
So Hollye, did you end up taking Mia to the hospy? Sounded horrible and I am not looking forward to getting Olive's needles on friday.
hj - How long until you are moving into your new house?
Olive is going well and i'm looking forward to getting her weighed today as it's been 3 wks. We went shopping yesterday and she got pretty cranky and I really missed just being able to pop her on the boob and make it all better. Mum managed to rock her to sleep which was good as it's usually only me or one of my sisters who can do that. Other then that she is still blowing lots of raspberries and just generally being cute.
Hi to everyone i've missed
-
Amanda - i have PM'd u the number! at long last
Kim - that must be sooo hard for you, the pressure these days on young girls to be skinny is ridiculous! i really hope she gets better soon!
OM - our settlement date is March 25th! so we got a little while yet to go! and its driving me nuts i just wanna be in our new house! and congrats on your good weight loss! thats awesome!
Hollye - thats good that Mia dosent need to do any exercises! have u tried her on a teething rusk yet? i was bad and couldnt help my self poor B has been knawing away at everything and anything - so i sat with her yesterday and gave her a teething rusks to munch on - and would u believe it she munched all the way thru it - i panicked a little when i noticed she had chewed the top off! but all was okay! just have to sit with her every time i give her one! she looked so cute sitting up munching on a teething rusk!
-
nah no hospital for Mia, shes all better now.. thank god.
HJ - i have her a teething rusk but i got the Bellamy's ones, thinking coz they were better coz they are organic, so she puts it in her mouth, screws her face up and throws it away. So I might get the hienz ones this week... this what u are using? So cute that B chews on them. If shes doing so well on them doesnt sound like shes too far away from solids :) Tho our bubs are all 6 months in 6-8 weeks and thats not far at all!
just pulled slowcooker out to cook silverside for tea, yum yum.
KimB - Thats really sad about your daughter, i really hope she improves. Saying that about her weight.. DP is 180 cm and only weighs 55kg..
Does she realise there is a problem? who does she hang around with? could they be influencing her to be skinny? I hope she doesnt end up in hospital.. I dont think a dietition will do much, i would be booking her in to mayb seeing the school counciler or something as there may be underlying issues. hugs. xx
-
oh.. we arent moving to QLD this year...
-
:crying: why not Hollye?
And yeah we are using the Heinz ones - she dosent like the plain ones she likes the Vegetable ones - not sure why i thought they both tasted the same! hahaha
im still going to try and hold of on the solids for a bit longer - but not sure how much longer since she watches us eats, makes eating movements with her mouth, and is feeding nearly every 2.5hrs during the day - so not sure if the formula is really satisfying her if you know what i mean! what do u think?
-
Hi girls.. sorry no personals.. But i need to join your weight loss!! I am now down 6.9kg... in 5 weeks i think.. LOVING IT>.
-
Hi Ladies, just quickly until I get a chance to get back on, I am now a WW member. hehehe. Who was it doing WW? Will you be on the forums as well?
Anyway need to go and get some things from the shop before collecting the kids.
-
csab - I do WW at home and find it great. Hope it works for you.
We had clinic today and Olive weighs 8.050kgs now and is off the chart for her weight. She is 66cms long (97th pertentile) and Hc is 43cms (95th). Overall she is doing so well, especially for a fully Bf baby (even though she doesn't get it in the conventional way. We turned the carseat around in my mums car but will do it in my car maybe on the weekend. She was so much happier as she can see whats going on. Olive also loves to sit up ATm and is hating lying on her playmat. I have been propping her up either on the lounge or on my bed and she has been much happier, everything is just a little boring for her ATM.
We have MG tomorrow which will be nice and we are also on the countdown for my sisters wedding which is on the 7th. Olive has her own little gold dress and shoes to match the rest of the bridal party - very cute. I might go to my sisters hen's night for a little while next week and leave Olive at home with her daddy and have a couple of wines if i'm off the AB by then. It will be nice to have a bit of me time.
-
bummer HJ, u didnt get RAK'ed... i forgot all about it, otherwise u would have RAK'ed u.
Long story why im not moving to QLD.. i will get there.. just not this year.
Well Mia decided she will chew her rusks today.. yay
HJ - 2.5 hours is still a good length between feeds. If it wasnt satisfying her she would let u know. At this stage she should be having 5-6 bottles a day.
csab & didi - lovin ur avi's!
-
hehe thanks Hollye, the thought that u would of done it is good enough!!!
and yep B is have 5-6 bottles a day! still only between 100-150mls tho (did i already mention that?) but she is happy!
Did u get a piccy of Mia trying the broccoli last night? that would of been so funny! i dont blame her tho i hate broccoli! hehehe
Csab and Didi - i love ur piccys - so cute!
OM - wow Olive is thriving! that is fantastic news!
-
Just quickly sneaking in to say a HUGE hello! I am reading and sounds like you are doing super well! How quickly are these babies growing! It's crazy! Also wanted to leave this LINKabout facing rearwards for babies - even if they prefer the other way around and have hit the target weight, their heads are not ready for forward facing seats. It is worth a read and watch. Izzy was rear facing to 16mths.
Take care all!
-
HJ - nah it was the potatoe she didnt like, that face is classic!
Tan - welcome back sweety!!!!!!!!! yeh ill be keeping Mia facing the back for a while yet. Much safer. Thanks for the link..how have you been??
All good here... abit smokey coz of the fires so no venturing out today..

Goodmorning Tan - was good to hear from you again! we do miss you!
