OM - B has been pretty good with them - can't complain really! but i might try that other teething stuff u recommended instead of Bonjella as she keeps licking it instead so its hard to get on her gums!
I think Date idea with ur hubby reg is a good idea - we should do it also but i really hate leaving B with anyone! she is good with grandparents but i hate it and spend the whole night thinking about her and talking about her anyway! which is prob bad!
Oh its fun when they start getting into things - Miss B shut her fingers in a drawer the other day - was mean of me but i couldnt help but laugh, all i could think of was it all starts now!!! hahaha

Oh forgot to mention B now claps when u ask her too or if u sing "clap ur hands together", she knows where her nose is, and if ur wearing buttons and u ask her where are ur buttons she points them out! she also opens pencil cases!!!! bugga!
    Tooooo cute!!!!

She went into the kitchen this morning and opened all the draws and cupboards, so i need to go find them lock things for them. Shes still driving me nuts taking her jackets off. She used to just un do them but now she does both... grrr.. no wonder shes got a cold. Shes got bruises on her knees... lol.. from climbing on everything.. then falling down.. lol..

    Hi Girls,

Didi - Sounds like you're having a great time in Canada. I agree with HJ, 33 degrees is too hot for me too. I live in Cairns and even in winter we still sit on around 28 degrees during the day. How long are you there for?

OM - You're dinner and movie date sounds great. I still haven't had a night away from Lara. I think the longest I've been away from Lara is 2 hrs so I definitely need some time out.

HJ - I see you've changed your photo of B in your ticker too, she is a cutie. Clever girl clapping and knowing where her nose is. Lara hasnt started opening cupboards yet but I suppose shes only just started crawling so wont be too long before she gets upto mischief. I was lucky with DD1 that she never really loved going through the cupboards etc, hope Lara will be the same.

Hollye - Hope Mia gets over her cold soon. She is one lucky girl getting lots of presents for her b'day and xmas. I wish I was getting that much ha ha. Glad she was good for you while you moved.

Lara is asleep & as soon as she wakes up I am going for a drive to toys r us to have a sticky beak.

    Have a good day!!!

Ok first of all sorry that I haven't been posting lately, have been totally exhausted, with kids on school holidays and trying to keep them occupied... but they will be back at school tomorrow so yay for me .

We've laybyed everything for christmas and the 4 boys birthdays that are towards the end of the year, we've got the older boys scooters for their birthdays and bikes for christmas, plus other things as well.

Julian has had an infected toe for the last two weeksand has been on antibiotics and now has an ointment, it's getting better slowly. He is nowgetting up on his knees and yesterday stood up twice and this morning he crawlled properly for a bit then went back to commando crawlling....cheeky little man .

Holl - apparently the longer it is before they get their first teethy peg the stronger and healthier the teeth - i dont know how true that is but i have heard it a million times! so Mia is going to have strong healthy teeth!!!
And wow how spoilt is she going to be come christmas and bday! i haven't even thought of either yet - wanna wait until it gets closer so i can see what stage she is at -she is growing so fast that who know's she might be into make up come christmas! hahaha only joking she isnt aloud to touch that stuff until she has finished grade 12!

Leigh - YAY on Lara crawling, its so cute isnt it! i love her pic in ur ticker also! oh and how nice it would be to go away! we not game enough to do that with Bianca yet!!!

Didi - 33!!! yuck too hot for my liking! should be -33!!!!

Hun baby teeth DON'T have nerves they are basically a shell...and are only really there to 'make/keep' good space for when the permanent teeth come through, being under the gum for longer has nothing to do with how healthy/strong they are going to be

Hi all just a quick one, have a massive headache but I am way to excited about V's weight gain, so wanted to share it with you all.

In one week, V went from 4.84kg to a wonderful 5.24kg, cant believe it I am so happy with that weight gain, she has never pulled off a weight gain like that before. Must have alot to do with the extra calories the Dietician had me give V.

never been told that about the teeth?? hmm maybe i speak to the wrong people??? no seriously...had alot of issues with my eldests teeth when she was little...and saw a peadiatric dentist just before she was 1...she was knocked out for examination...and i did query time and teeth coming through etc....he basically said what i quoted above...she had late teeth come through and they ended up with no enamel on them...My aunt is also a dental hygenist/nurse and she has also told me the same.

Jack is starting to say 'bird'...cause i always say to him wheres the bird Jack??? and he points to our bird chookie

each to their own...hollye....yep i have learnt to take what info i am given by others and either let it go or try/use it...

Our dogs (we breed boxers) are also called 'birds' by Jack aswell...
as for clapping hands.....it is a one handed clap by Jack..BUT he does it well
kisses...well only when he is in the mood to kiss...are open mouth kisses and a lick of the tongue...

yeah whats with the open mouth things.. its like shes trying to swallow my whole face. is it something they just teach themselves, coz we dont kiss her that way.

I do love this age tho, our lil kiddies are so funny. i spend most of the day laughing at Mia.

    goooooooooooooood morning everyone!!!

well, its sad but true.. Mia has decided to rise at 6-6:30am now instead of 7-7:30.. *yawns* n she still has her 10pm bottle, so im abit sleepy.

Even tho we had a bad start to lastnight, she slept all night n only woke once, about 2:44am. but went back to sleep.

Hollye the open mouth thing is that babies like to use their mouths to feel things in a sense, like textures ect, that's why everything goes into the mouth, they are exploring different things . Hopefully Mia gets a better night sleep tonight, did a tooth come through?

Cheryl yay on the awesome weight gain for V.

For those who asked we think Julian's toe got infected from his toe nail been pushed into the side of his toe from crawlling, but not 100% sure. He's now trying to crawl properly alot of the time but still reverts back to commando when he gets frustrated.

Amanda - nup, still no toothy. Mia gets ingrown fingernails and toenails all the time, she gets that from me, poor girl. Is that what ur kinda talkin about??

Took Mia to the doc's today, coz she just didnt seem right, mothers intuition i guess. I was getting worried about the cough she has had the past 2 days. Doc says she has croup, poor little mite. Shes on medication and have to take her back on friday.

just sneaking in to say kat baby teeth do have nerves!! there no different to adult teeth (except been smaller obviously ) but yes they are definatly required to 'hold' open the space for the adult teeth which is why its so important to look after those baby teeth!! weak enamel can be due to genetic factors or high fevers/illness in babies!
    *sneaks back out*
