1stbub- I called my insurance company when I wanted to drive early with Izzy and they said that unless the Dr had specifically told me not to drive for 6 weeks that I would be covered...This c/s no-body ever specifically told me not to drive and none of the paperwork says it either so Im happy with that. If you are worried call your insurance company and double check - each one is different. I felt fine driving, I've been off pain relief for 2 weeks now and am feeling fine so Im not really worried.

    hey hey!

Mia's feeds are getting better. I have started on Fenugreek capsules to boost my supply a little and i already see a difference.

1stbub27 - yeh my feeds used to take 2 hours too but ever since i have been on these tablets it doesnt go over an hour and after that o couldnt even force her to have more if i tried lol. 2.5 hours is horrible hun, by the time your finished bubs is nearly due for another feed. U must be exhausted. Have a look into these capsules too hun, u get them from the health food store and they are around $23 for 100 tablets. HTH

    hi ladies,
We had a great day today, Hana loves the rocker she will swing all day in it. Sam thinks the rocker is Ok he would rather cuddles. Lily my 2 year old is a bit of a devil she gets into everything. My to older boys are great they are really enjoying the twins, I went up to the school the other day to pick them up and Alex (12 years) was so excited to show off Sam and Hana to his friends.
Well the preschool is open for the next 5 weeks and than we shut it down. I am so excited.

Hollye that sounds great! I'll try to pick some up tomorrow. Wow, only 1 hour...imagine that....
He's latched on and fed 'sans-sheild' again a couple of times today which is encouraging. He gets frustrated after a bit though and just wants what he's used to. But it feels like we're actually moving to the reality of being without it.
The breast he seemed to be getting nothing from this morning, he did the same thing with today. Buuuut, I noticed that side had deffinitely been leaking quite a bit (sorry for the mental picture). I haven't tried reading up on it yet, but do bubs sometimes refuse just one breast for any reason?

I'm not actually too worried about the insurance. It's a pretty small town and I'll only be doing short trips. One of the MW's in hospital had mentioned the 6 weeks. I might call just to make sure so I at least know where I stand (not planning on any accidents though ). As far as being physically able I know it shouldn't be an issue.

Did anyone notice it's nearly Christmas? Where did that come from???

1stbub - Mia cracks it ALOT at my right breast. Its bigger than my left and when its full she cant latch on properly and keeps pulling herself off. This might be why. Once bubs got a good mouthful of breast, u will find he will stay on there.. Just keep pulling him off and putting him back on, shape your nipple a little bit (with thunb and index finger) to help him get a good mouthful. HTH

    hi all,
haven't made it in much DH and I are making the most of the last week and a half before he goes back to work.
Angus is great as is Paige, feeding is going well, still need some practice at getting out and about with two children but I guess I'll be getting heaps shortly!!!!
no other news just thought I'd touch base.
I have a friend who is going to do some family portrait photos in a couple of weeks time, I am also trying to work out my new print master program so I can make a calender for family members and also make my christmas cards.
does anybody have an idea of a christmas card photo I could take of a two year old and a bubba?

    Hi all
I'm still alive very tired Audrey is one demanding little girl, thank you for all the well wishes when she was born & thanks very much to Katones for keeping you all updated on the birth.

She was feeding really well & sleeping a lot she had jaundice when she was born & because of the big bleed I had my milk didn't come in until around day 6-7 so it took a long time to clear up. For the past 2 days she's been sleeping for around 1.5 to 2.5 hours then wakes up crying & whinging so I feed her & she falls asleep within 10 mins then I take her off the breast & she is ok for about 5 or so mins then starts whinging again so I put her back on & she goes back to sleep very frustrating I've tried upwrapping her, changing her nappy, playing with her for a while to wake her up nothing works, the community nurse is coming Wed morning for a home visit so I'm writing down everytime she sleeps, poo's, wee's & wakes to show her in the hope she can help me figure out what Audrey's problem is.

Hope your all well & your gorgeous babies are settling well into life outside the womb.

Can I please be added to the list:-

    rileynmia - 29/10/08 - Audrey Elisabeth - 7lb 6oz - 5.07am thank you !
