for bubs their milk is their food - and im not sure if ur the same but on a hot day i don't tend to eat as much as i would on a cold day - so i figure they think the same!
Mia will definalty let u know if she is hungry or if something was wrong! Don't stress too much - plus they have pleanty of fat stores to survive on for a little bit! hehehe well Bianca does - she is starting to get a little bit of chubba on her!!!

HOllye - HOw is Mia today hun? Has she had more to drink?? With breastfeeding I offer shorter feeds more frequently on hot days, but I don't know how that works if you are FF. If she still isn't drinking today and is still sick I would take her to see your GP to be safe hun. :hug: I hope she's better.
HJ - If Bianca is sleeping a bit more than usual it could definitely be a growth spurt, but that is usually accompanied by them wanting more to eat! I would offer the feeds as usual even if she is only taking small amounts more frequently. Sounds like you are going to get a cute outfit for her!
Hippie- James first slept for a big stretch in his bouncer at 2 weeks and that's why we go the hammock and he loves it! Im already feeling like he is getting big for it though, I don't know how people use it up to 1 year! Hope you had a good day yesterday!
Hello to Sami, Leigh and everyone I have missed!
2 WEEKS TO GO!!!I desperately need to do some more shopping! If my mum is up to it tomorrow we are going to leave Iz with dad and go with James. My maternity leave payments have finished up now :( I knoooowwww Im lucky to get paid all this time but now I have to get into "being dependant on DH" mode again, which is really tough for me. We have combined finances but working and having access to my own money for so long makes it really tough to adjust. I hate asking for money if I need it, although we work it so that doesn't happen too often but still. Ugh. Ok Im off my little man is stirring finally! He stirred at 6 and I rocked his hammock and he went back until now from 8 last night.:o

Tan - since u like rubbing in how well James sleeps - can i rub something in? hehehe - i have 12mths of with Bianca and for 7mths of it i get half pay and for the last 5mths i get full pay! We get 14wks full pay maternity leave or 28wks at half pay, which is what i have done, than i have taken my holiday on the end of that! mind u ive had to build up my holidays so haven't had any for AGES - and looking after B certainly hasn't been a holiday! hahaha sorry just had to rub something in! But i know how u would feel asking DH for money! i don't like doing that either! so soon i will be in ur shoes also!
Bianca has been really funny with her feeds lately - but oh well i just go with the flow!

Well everyone looks like B has turned a new leaf :crossfingers: she slept from 2130-0430! woo hoo got her back to bed just after 0500 and she is still asleep!
Goodthing cause we have a big day ahead of us - we are meeting one of my old work mates whom i havent seen for ages and her little bubba girl, born 2 days before Bianca at 0930 and than at 1415 B has her 6wk check up which im really looking forward too!
Awwww I don't mean to rub it in! I'm a teacher so I get 14 weeks too but we don't get the option for half pay here which is what I would have done if I could. My 6 week check went well, James is a buddha apparantly! ;) and doing great. We didn't weigh him but I have his 8 week check on Monday so will be interested to see how much he has gained. I got some cream for my broken hoohaa but Im a bit worried about using it because the side effects can be reduction in milk supply plus it is essentially HRT for menopuase and I not sure I like any of the other side affects either. :( Looks like we wont be DTD for a very looonnng time. Im also getting Implanon in a few weeks time, not that I will need it. :rofl: Ah well.

thats a bugga not getting the option of taking maternity leave at half pay! i thought we all got that option! oh well i guess the Qld Ambulance Service is good for something!

Hollye, I would deffinitely take Mia to the docs. There's got to be something going on for her to be consistantly having such small amounts and not waking herself up to have more. And dehydration can be a real problem for bubs. Might be nothing, and I know as little about all this as most of us, but that would be ringing little alarm bells in me (not pannick bells though, so don't panick ok :) ).

HJ-Yeah its the Baby Bonus (we don't get the $1000 either) good old Centrelink have stuffed us around! But at least we've got it now and we got back pay aswell.
You ladies are lucky re all the materinty pay. I quit my job in June so we've been on one income the whole time, not fun, but these little ones are soooo worth hey?
We are off to my SIL's today.
Oh Hollye, I ended up getting Fess (like Tan said) and it is drops and also has an aspirator to get all the gunk out, haven't used it yet though.

Mia is still sick.. i really need to go get something to help her get the gunk out of her nose. its right up the back so i cant get at it. If only i could hold a tissue there and she blow but she would look at me stupid. Shes doing abit better with her feeds.. she had 160mls lastnight about 7:30 but threw alot of it up. Then i gave her more at midnight and she has about 70 mls then slept till 8am and had another 100 mls. Is that enough u reckon? or should i still be worried? I think the mucous in her throut is making her chuck a little more. The poor darlin, i feel so sorry for her. We are off today to go pick up the santa photos and the photos from her last photo shoot. Heading to the chemist too.
I still havent picking my chrissy tree up from layby!!! omg!! its gonna be rushed this year. I wish i did get that $1000 it would have come in so handy. Damn stupid K Rudd.
HJ - i will head into bigw today and see what i can find. I havent even looked at my fone but i dont have any credit atm anyways.

Hollye I would definitely get the Fess box hun with the aspirator- it sucks all the gunk right out, they get a bit upset but even Izzy at 18 mths can't blow her nose and we use it with her even now when she has a cold, which she does! Ugh what is it with colds and summer. I know down here it is this stupid weather, I had the heater on this morning and now its gorgeous outside.
I just dragged a box of Christmas decos up from under the house! :leap: We aren't putting our tree up this year because Izzy will just demolish so Im going to get creative with lights and balls in vases instead!
got that ness stuff.. pretty good stuff.. been suctioning her.
