Thanks HJ & Tan! I was on the look out for tired signs this morning and what do you know, as soon as I saw he was starting to get tired I put him in his cot, he started to cry a bit so I picked up him to calm him and then back down and ASLEEP!!!
I am one happy mumma! Thanks again ladies!!!!
Hopefully the weather fines up today, I want to go for a big walk! Maybe at the beach.
Have a nice day everyone!
-
No prob hun! It really takes time and just when you work out these little monkeys they go through a wonder week or growth spurt and throw everything out!!!! Have a great day!
-
Hi Girls, hope you all had a great weekend.
Lara had a bad day yesterday, unsettled all day and then was overtired so it took me forever to get her to sleep but once she did she slept all night. Thanks to you lovely ladies I've been keeping my eye out for the tired signs. Lara is my 2nd child and I should know to watch out for the tired signs but I get easily distracted looking and running after DD1 at times.
DD1 had cradle cap and it took me forever to get rid of it. I tried everything but nothing seemed to work.
DH and I DTD last night for the 2nd time, and ouch it still hurt. I'll keep trying but defintely talk to my GP when I go. Jeez I hope it gets better. I dont remember any pain like that last time.
Better go, hope you're all having a great day!!!
-
Tan - i googled it and will get the moogoo stuff for her - thanks for that!
hippiemummy - glad we could be help - did u get to go for your nice walk along the beach?
Leigh - DH and i have only DTD once and i was lucky i guess that it only hurt a little - havent tried it again tho!!!
Hollye - how are u and Mia today?
-
hey
Mia had a rough night lastnight. She had an upset tummy and was spewing all night the poor darlin. SO im buggered and shes buggered and as a result had a pretty average day.
Had her check up today and she is now 4.7kgs! yay! For everything she is smack bang on the 50th percentile except her height. Thats at the 35th i think so shes still a little short. At the end of the day i have one very average bub so nothing exciting there. My MCHN is sending me to see a counciler as im abit depressed. More of its in my head. Its not so much just the hard work its the whole BFing thing that is doing my head in and with it being 12 months on friday since my dad passed away, i just need to get back in the right head space. It will be nice to talk to someone i think. My mothers group starts on the 15th January woot woot! i cant wait.
Went and got some aloe vera spray from the chemist for my sunburn.. feels a little better.
sorry no personals.. have to find something to eat for tea and then its an early night here i think.
mwah xoxoox

hello peoples,
hope you all ahd a nice day, was a beutiful sunny day here in adelaide, and lucky me had to be at the hospital at 10:30am for my ultrasound! ended up being one of those yucky internal ones too....is rather strange having an ultrasound and not having a baby to look at!!
anyway, the good news is that it looks like the fluid and the collection of blood has all but gone, but then they called in the reg to have a look and I heard whispers of thickened endometrial lining-not cleaerly defined etc....so I piped up and wanted to know what they were talking about and get told that my doctor will go over the results with me at my next appointment! so im hoping its nothing serious....
we went out for dinner last night with some of dps clients, took Jacob in the hugabub, he was so well behaved, everyone kept telling us what a great baby he is, and how very lucky we are, believe me, I know how lucky we are! (sorry hj)
I havent been game enough to dtd yet, but dp is getting ansty, I keep telling him I cant until the bleeding has stopped or 6 wks!! not from lack of wanting to, just a little aprehensive about it, I dont want it to hurt and I dont want to risk any chance of getting pg again so soon :o or an infection. i have had enough trouble already!
went to cheap as chips yesterday while I was out and bought some xmas cards that you put your own photo in, thought thats one way of keeping the rellies happy, chuck in a piccie of Jacob and send them all off! also Big w had the bonds easy suits (long sleeved and long legged) all on special for $8!! so I had to buy some, then got home and struggled with the bloody things, so im not a fan anymore:lol:
going chrissy shopping tomorrow with my friend, caant wait, I just loove spending money, especially when I didnt have to work for it! hehehe!!
hj- I will keep an eye out tomorrow for you, going to a bigger shopping centre, so we might get lucky!
-
HJ - what are u looking for?
-
 oopsie!! I will see if I can find bianca a christmas dress with matching knickers that isnt dora!!

Hi Everyone,
Hope you all had a great weekend. Mine was pretty good except Olive had a really bad night though so am really tired today. She did her big 7.5hr sleep on saturday the last night was luck to sleep for 3, unpredictable things aren't they? Olive an I went to our local ABA meeting today for the first time which was great. Olive is always so well behaved when we go out that I don't think people believe that she can actually play up. I'm pretty sure it's cause her tummy is really unsettled due to the thrush, I can hear her stomach gurgling. So nice to meet other mums in the same boat and caught up with one of the ladies I met at anti-natal classes. I don't know about everyone else but we don't have many friends with kids so thats kinda hard.
I agree about the 'easysuits', not so easy huh? my DH who does the bathing was particularly unimpressed.
Hubby and tried to dtd for the third time today and I must say now that i've relaxed abit it was heaps better, still painful but heaps better. Thank god for that.
-
Talking about DTD, we haven't tried yet and it has been 5 weeks. I am a bit scared as I had 2 internal vaginal wall tears. On a brighter note, we were at the supermarket yesterday and I made DH choose some condoms. He felt really uncomfortable, and quickly threw them in the trolley and kept walking LOL!!
-
Hi all, long time no post. How is everyone?
Kylie - LOL about DH's discomfort buying condoms.
We DTD only once and it was sooo painful. Nothing a bit of lube couldn't fix though. (TMI?)
Hollye - I'm so sorry about your dad, and that you're feeling a bit under it all. I hope the visit with the councillor helps.
On the short and long times between Mia's feeds, the LC told me that with the hot weather, sometimes bubs just need a 'drink' rather than a full feed which is why they want to feed in such a short time.
I had to laugh about you squirting milk up Mia's nose. I am constantly squirting Liam in the eye or nose. (..on the couch, across the room... ).
Leigh26 - Welcome! I'm sorry to hear about you not being able to have any more kids. How are you feeling about that? Your birthing experiences sound really painful!
HJ - I have to 2nd Hollyes congrats on doing so well with little Bianca. I had only a few weeks of the crazy crying and it wore me down. Keep up the good work girl!
Starsky - I'm thinking I might need to find a new Dr too. I'm REALLY not looking forward to it. There's not a whole lot of great options around here from what I've seen. Pity, coz I don't mind seeing him for me, and the reception girls and nurse are all WONDERFUL! there's a lady doctor at the same surgery who looks like she'd be more appropriate, but there's only the 3 doctors there so my current doc would know and...that would be weird. What do you all think about that?
We have the bonds (not so)Easy Suites and yep, they're not great. The short sleaved and sleevless are easier. They even harder to fit around bulky cloth nappies.
Olivesmummy - what a pain to have to spend so much at the chemist in 1 go, that's crazy! BTW, we're in the same boat as you - not really any friends with kids. I'm finally going to the Beyond Birth class at the Health Centre tomorrow which is for 0-4 weeks. Liam is 7 1/2 weeks! :) But I'm so looking forward to meeting other mums with bubs - y'know, in person. ;)
All right, enough personals girl (sorry to those I missed), some other people want to use this page!! :D
On my news, I have put the nipple shields away as they are no longer used!!!!!! :leap: And um, this is weird, but i no longer have flat nipples (happened before we stopped the sheilds, so not because of that). TMI again? Still 1/2 bottle feeding, but happy with that.
Liam has been niggley lately. Someone said they have a growth spurt around 6 weeks and that could be why...?
Anyway, taking up too much room. Gotta go. Mwah!
-
Great to hear from you 1stbub! Sounds like you are going great guns! Funny all the weird things that happen to your body from pregnancy and breastfeeding! Ah the joys! I have skin tags under my arms - so odd!
Kylie - at your DH - poor love!
Olivesmummy - I hope you had a better night last night hun. I must be strange but I like the Easysuits! I know they aren't that easy to get on but nappy changes are easier than lots of snaps on other suits. Having said that James lives in pants and tops and they are heaps easier anyway! :)
Starry - You are so organised! I should go get those cards too because I am designing my own at home and still working on them, but clearly need to finish them and get them sent! I also have a heap of pressies to get but I am going shopping on Friday with my mum and we are leaving Izzy with dad so hopefully I will get most of it done then.
Hollye - Sorry to hear about your dad hun, must be a tough time of year for you. I hope seeing a counsellor helps. Having a baby is such a huge emotional rollercoaster and your relationships with everyone change so much. Nobody can explain it to you before you have a baby!
HJ - I hope you and Bianca had a good night!
Leigh - Im glad you had a great night! I hope Lara is a bit more settled today for you! Makes a hug difference getting a decent sleep.
Hippiemummy - Did you get to go on your walk? I need to go today, I didn't get out yesterday and need to do some serious work on this butt of mine!
Hello to everyone I have missed! Sorry I can't go back any further!
We are well, I had a hairy day yesterday when both kids wouldn't sleep - conspiring I tell you! Izzy has a croaky voice poor love but has worked out how to walk in her sleeping bag she she gets up out of her bed and walks to the lounge which she did 5 times while I was feeding James so I had to keep stopping his feed to put her back. Ive now learnt to feed and settle him first and then put her to bed. The result of that was that Izzy slept ok, but James wouldnt go down because he had trapped wind all arvo from the stop start feeding. Poor thing. He eventually fell asleep on the bouncer and had a great nights sleep which Im forever grateful for. He went from 730-6 last night - cherub. Its all those fat stores Im sure! I want to get him weighed tomorrow - he must be pushing 6kgs! I know it can change - Izzy did the same to 12 weeks then was up 2-3 hourly for 6 months! Arggh lets hope he doesn't take after his big sister!
Going to clean the house today, and go to the bank - I lost my card the other day and need to get some cash out because it will be 5-7 days until I get a new card. Such a PITA. RIght have a great day lovelies! Chat later!
-
OMG this thread is doing my head in. I just posted. Rechecked something and my post was GONE! I came back in to post that I had done a huge post and lost it and it's here.....Im off to shower and clear my head - clearly I am going nuts.
-
Goodmorning All -and yep i say GOODmorning!
Bianca slept from 2200-0400!!!! woohoo - she is a big 6wker now so maybe thats why?
and although i know it could be a fluke - im staying positive and thinking thats the way its going to be from now on!!!!! :crossfingers:
Hollye - Poor little Mia - lucky mummy was there to look after her! and yay for hitting the 4.7kg mark! thats almost 5kgs!!!!! not so tiny anymore! I had B weighed at the chemist yesterday and she was........ 4.8kgs! Cant wait for her 6wk check up on thursday to see her length and everything!
Also i hope ur chat with the counsellor helps - a depressed Hollye is not the Hollye we like to see
Im trying to find B a chrissy outfit - but with NO luck! :(
Starry - that would be weird having a ultrasound and no bub too look at - i dont think i would like that!
Im thinking that with ur results that if it was serious than surely they would of told u than and there and not made u wait until you see your doc at next appt - but hey where do they get off not telling u in the first place - thats a bit ruff! hmmmmm doctors!!!!!
Some of us have all the luck on well behaved babies  but remember this in 16yrs time when i have the well behaved teenager! hahaha
Once again thanks for looking for a chrissy outfit for Bianca- but ive pretty much given up! i can still find the outfits for bubba boys - but none for a girl!
I like the idea of the chrissy cards - i went to a web sight yesterday to make some up and got into trouble from DH for spending too much money lately - so i didnt end up doing it! Some DH's are spoil sports!
Olivesmummy - funny u should say u don't know many ppl with kids - DH and i always use to be the odd one out and when we went out with friends we were the only ones without a child - now we have been catching up with other friends and once again we are the odd one's out and we are the only couple with a child!!! can't win!
Kylie - thats funny! but i can't talk - i was too embarrased to buy them also - hence that was part to blame for my little incident!
Tan - what are the skin tags from? breastfeeding? Have fun cleaning the house - i usually love cleaning the house - but lately i just can't be bothered!
-
Ops - 1stBub27 - congrats on getting rid of the nipple shields! i bet u feel much better now - and as for Liam going thru a growth spurt - i have read that they do at 4wks and 6wks than i think the next is at 12wks! so a nice long break there!
-
hj - the tags are from pregnancy I got them with Izzy!!! :)
-
How weird - i take it they do disappear?
-
:wall::wall::wall::wall::wall::wall:
My child is driving me nuts! And I feel VERY guilty for saying that! He hardly slept last night. I wrap him, and last night he seemed to be really frustrated with being wrapped, so I unwrapped and just put him in his cot and he was throwing his arms round constantly and kept knocking his dummy out with his hands then screaming. This went on ALL night! So this morning after his feed he had a play as normal and went to sleep as normal, for 20 mins!! WTF???
And now he is awake and screaming AGAIN! I've tried everything and nothing is working!!
He can see better now so when I hold him to try to get him asleep he won't close his eyes because he is too busy looking at everything. If I put him in his cot he just screams!
Sorry about the rant ladies! Off to try and settle him for the 876, 372nd time!!!!!
And to top it off I've woken up with a cold!!
Today needs to be over already!
