hippie - :lol: so sorry for laughing - but i completly understand what u are going thru! we have been going thru that with Bianca pretty much since day dot!!!! however last few days have been much better!
With the wrapping - Bianca HATES having her arms in also - but if they are in than she sleeps better - because than when something gives her a fright she dosent jump as much and her arm reflex's are controlled - so just keep perservering with the wrapping!
and i have found that usually if she wont settle its for a reason - maybe gas or wind! so we just pick her up - burp her and put her back down - if the dummy has fallen out than we put it back in - this can go on for awhile but eventually she does fall asleep!
Don't give up - ur doing great! and just like us - u will get there soon!

HJ - christmas outfit? what kind? we have THOUSANDS of them here.
an ok night. Mia fed at 9pm, 1am, 6am and 9:30am. She is alot hungrier when its warmer. Poor little darlin tho, shes got a slight cold. I think its from yesterday being out in the heat and then coming home and it was nice and cold inside from the aircon. So that prob made a difference with her waking more often lastnight. Oh well, i still got an ok sleep. SHe is still sleeping in the bed with us as she finds her cot abit evil and she sleeps longer when in bed with us. I know they are **** poor excuses but ohwell. She will sleep in her cot one day. She sleeps on top of our doona on a pillow with her own blanket so theres no chance of us rolling on her or smothering her with the doona. Problem tho, coz she has started rolling and she a side sleeper, she rolls onto her tummy! :wall: i dont know what to do about it coz she just wont sleep on her back.
anyway shes napping so im gonna go get some breakfast or lunch.. all the same lol food is food.

I'm feeling the guilt!! I think DS is sick! I went and got some baby Panadol as both DH and I have got a cold at the moment so I gave him some and he is now having a good sleep. Maybe I've just drugged him! :cry: (I gave him less than the recommended dose) I feel bad if I don't give him something and he is feeling unwell and I feel bad for giving it to him if he doesn't need it! Being a mum is hard!!

A good sleep will do him good. Mia had panadol this morning but no more today. Ill see how she is tonight. She has finally gone to sleep tho.. in her cot! woot woot! going to try and put her in her cot tonight, i want my bed back!!

Hollye- I know what you mean about wanting your bed back! I would love to co sleep all the time but he is soooooo noisy I get NO sleep!!!!

omg she is so full on today.. she just wont sleep for more than 30 minutes at a time! wtf am i doing wrong? she is so tired :(

Hollye - im after a little chrissy dress for Bianca - i went to yet another shopping cntre today and i can't find any! i give up! funny how such a little thing can get u down - i knew i should of brought the one that i found wks ago - but i was worried that it wouldn't fit her so i waited a bit so i knew her size and now they are alllllll gone! humph no dressing my little girl up for santa or for chrissy now! :crying:
With Mia rolling over - have u thought of getting one of those safe and sound things (we have one) it prevents them from rolling over and u can use that in bed with u when Mia goes to sleep!
I know things are hard for u atm but dont wish for this year to end too quick - just remember 2008 is the year that ur beautiful daughter came into your life - so it does have its good point!

Lara is having an unsettled day again today, plus I think from the 6wk growth spurt she is always hungry. I remember this with DD1 though as well. She slept from 11:30pm til 5:45am last night so thats not too bad but I couldnt sleep :wall:
Hollye - Lara loves sleeping on her tummy as well. Sometimes its the only way she'll sleep. She's actually asleep like that now. I check on her all the time but still panic. I also bought one of those sound and movement monitors just for a bit of extra reassurance.
HJ - Good luck on finding a chrissy dress for Bianca. Glad you had a good night sleep, hope she keeps it up for you.
1st Bub - Yeah I'm a bit devastated that I can't have anymore kids. We were planning on 3, especially now we have two girls. The drs want to tie my tubes but I'm not sure I want to get that done coz its so final. Someone told me to hold off coz maybe in like 5 yrs time my body may have healed enough for me to have more kids. Probably highly unlikely but you never know I guess. Yay on no more nipple shields!!!
Hippiemummy - Hope tonight is much better for you hun. Dont feel guilty about giving panadol.
Tan - Wish I was creative enough to design my own xmas cards.

Anyone have ideas on how to stop my toddler from smothering my baby?? Izzy has been driving me nuts today, wouldn't sleep for her nap, woke up in hysterics (teeth?) and then spent the arvo pretending to kiss James and in the meantime would sit on him, lie on him, watch TV with her feet up on his chest and then slapped his face when I told her off... She just laughs when I pull her away and we have taught her how to be gentle and most of the time she is but she must have known I was tired and feral today and played up on it. Thank goodness James is such a happy man - he will be a tough little cookie surviving all her "love"!!
Ugh vent sorry girls! Back tomorrow hopefully in a better mood.

Ben is doing great with Jorda. loves her to bits.. gets nappies helps feed bottle etc.
Jorda is sleeping throughthe night .. we i mean from 10pm-7am so i am loving this!!!
I have been shopping like a mad women!!! so cheap baby gap .. osh kosh cheaper then Target in Australia!!!
Well i am off to get Jorda's shots!! fun fun!!

Oh Tan - my DD is small, but very tough too - I think for the same reasons - just too much lurve. James is probably not even worried about it!!
Thank goodness for good sleepers too girls, otherwise I think I would be a bit more crazy than I already am :lol:

Morning all!
My beautiful little man let me have some sleep last night! :dance: So feeling better today (except for the cold) and he settled well this morning IN HIS BOUNCER :o (That NEVER happens). So I'm hoping today is a better day than yesterday.
Does anyone know if there's anything I can use to clear his nose? Its a bit snotty and his having a bit of a hard time feeding because he can't breathe properly.

hippie - thats great that you have had some sleep hun! :leap: Try Fess for little noses. It is pretty much the only thing you can use on bubs. It has some drops to clear their nose and a little pump thing to suction the mucous out. I also use a vaporiser in the room when they are sick - has worked well for Izzy when she has had a blocked nose at night. You can also slightly raise the cot/basinette and it helps the mucous run out their nose instead of down the back of the throat. Good luck I hop he is better soon. Izzy has been up grizzling for most of the night and is snotty and out of sorts too. Glad I have my 6 week check today (yep nearly 2 weeks late haha) so I can get her checked out as well. :hug: to you all.

hippie- i was coming to ask the same question about blocked noses too!
Well Mia is still sick.. im abit worried about her actually. She slept alot lastnight and she refuses to have anymore than 80 mls of her bottle. Last night i got her to have 50mls at 9pm and she was asleep by 9:30pm and i had to wake her up at 4:30am and she took about 90 mls and then had to wake her again at 9am to try and get more into her as i dont want her getting dehyrated. I have noticed that her nappy wasnt as wet as it usually is for an overnighter. What do i do???????

As for little Mia being sick - Bianca hasn't been drinking much either - she has been only having about 50-60mls every 3-4 hours! might be the heat???
And she has been sleeping a bit longer also - im thinking she's tired cause she has been thru a big growth spurt - which they go thru around the 6wk mark - so that might be the case with Mia also - since they are alike!
and i don't think their nappy's will be as full if they are not drinking much!
Im not too concerened about B - im just watching her - she isnt overly moody or whingy at all.... well nothing more than usual!
if ur concerned take her to doc - its much better to be safe than sorry! and with little bubs u can never be too safe!

yeh i thought it was the heat too, it just worrying how they can survive on such little feed. I just wish her cold would go away :(
000's it is.. :) there is actually more chance of them being there than the 0000's.
