Better then the alternative I guess Weight gain, great! Next time demand to feed even a bottle, there's nothing wronge with that.

    Hi all,

This will just be quick post from me as my computer is dead ATM so am typing this on my ph... Much slower process!

I don't have 2 mth needles booked yet, but have E's 6 week check on Monday... Do they do the needles then as well?

Stevie, great to hear you are going to Try to sort things out with DH... It was the other way around in my r'ship. For a long time I was the control freak and it took me a while to learn to let go and relax... If he wants to change how he is he can over time, and you and A are certainly good incentive to!

Boomba - wow, great weight gain! My bub is 6 weeks and prob now just in 5kg territory so still quite big gains also - it's so nice that all the bubs are doing well.

Sorry to not do more personals but this is really slow on my ph... Hopefully DH works out the computer issue over the weekend!

    Take care, Tam.

Rach for you and little Jack, what an awful thing to have to go through. Hopefully it heals quickly and he is back to his happy little self very soon. It must be so hard to see him suffering, you are doing such a fabulous job of looking after him and making him as comfortable as you can.

Boobma your little man could be a sumo wrestler That's so wonderful that he is getting so big and strong. As for the needles well my GP and CHN both told me to get them at 6 weeks, actually I think the hospital may have even said that too so now I am really confused...

I feel so bad we decided to have a nap all 3 of us,but jack had no pants and he rolled over and hurt his doodle so Iput some jocks on not thinking to put something on his doodle region and well of course when we woke just now and his jocks were stuck alittle so I had to put him in shower to try and soak it off and of course the tears flowed he kept pulling away from me so I had toget firm with him all goo dnow jocks are off and he is naked, rang hosp have to try and get a dressing but do you think I can get ahold of chemist to see if they have any... I dont want to go out in this heat 40+c if they have none

Aw Rach this is such a horrible time Poor little man. But all you can do is exactly what you're doing. Being a loving mummy, just trying to help, he knows this
Is a nice warm bath out of the question for him? With lots of bubbles etc.

I guess the bath would kind of make the wound 'soggy'. Poor little man. Hurry up healing!

    Update

Gosh - so much has happened since I last logged in here! We are all better now, although I still have the remnants of the cold. So much harder to get over it when you are getting broken sleep!!
Jasper had his 6 week checkup yesterday - can't believe he has grown 7cms since birth and now weighs 5.1 kg!! For some reason this stage seems to be going so much faster second time around - prob coz he's an easier baby and I'm actually enjoying this stage- unlike last time . I'm glad he is growing so well but it makes me kinda wish that I could press the pause button sometimes. I already have a toddler - its so nice just holding a tiny bubba again!!

Fi - I totally get where you were coming from re: the birth stories. Mine was a very positive one, although I had a traumatic first labour. There is a thread for birth trauma - definitely go there and get it all out - you'll feel so much better. And if its any consolation - it so common to hear/read of positive 2nd labour stories - even after c/s your body just seems to have a better idea of what to do. You will also be a lot more forthcoming with the staff about what you are and are not comfortable with (they take advantage of first timers ). Don't let anyone frighten you with "once a c/s always a c/s" talk - its complete and utter nonsense. You will get your positive and empowering labour story one day - I'm sure of it

Rach75 - love to your poor little man. May his willy heal fast!!

Stevie - perhaps it is worth reminding your DH that the mothers group is recommended by the child health nurse, that staying connected to other mothers reduces the risk of PND, and that its as much for your little one to have social interaction with others as it is for you. He obviously loves you very much but has his own battles to overcome. Maybe you can console him by reminding him that you are not meeting up with women who are going to take you out clubbing every weekend, but just to meet at benign places like the local park or playgroup. Possessive men tend to blow things out of proportion in their head, and ultimately it comes down to fear - fear that someone or something you do is going to take you away from him. (Sorry if I sound like Oprah!! Lol - I had a very possessive ex). Maybe he can even join you at a mothers group session to put his fears to rest? The one I went to with DS1 had 2 Dad's in the group!!

Hello to everyone else! I can't keep writing as I'll go on forever and I have a family dinner to get to...

JB thanks so much for your kind and encouraging words, I really appreciate it. I have finally been through and read all of your birth stories that I could find and they are all amazing. I'm so proud of all of us! I may even write my own birth story soon

Rach75 I hope little Jack is feeling better

Hope everyone is having a nice weekend
