Well, tomorrow is gonna be a 40 degree day here..this will be the tester for the rest of the summer.

This morning was a bad morning. DS wouldn't stop crying for bout an hour and DH was sleeping so I had to deal with it myself. Well, I got so peeved that I threw his bottle across the room and almost broke a window whoops!

Be back tomorrow to post, weather permitting

Lj hun I think you need to speak to a counsellor maybe....just to get your feelings out...having a ne wbaby for the first time is so very hard, frustarting and sends you mad..but if your DH is not willing to help support you then you need to find someone else to talk to. TRUST me it does get better...Myles was one to cry alot...we had to walk laps of our house wiht him in the sling and i remember being so sleep deprived..some on my own accord staying up trying to manage eveything...and occasionally I wuld get so mad and frustrated i would yell at my poor baby..I felt awful...do you have a sling or hug a bub? what abouit a swing that rocks wihtout you? At least if he will sleep in there for an hour or 2 you coukld have a rest? I wish i could come help you out and juts reaasure you that your doing a wonderfull job and that it gets better!
Am off to my mums after i finish doing all the house stuff here...DH has gone away and left me fending for myslef...pizzza for breakfast anyone hahahaha

Mwah to all our mummies your all so fabuous and your babies all love you no matter what xxxx

    Good Morning Ladies!

Sounds like some of us are still having tough times adjusting. It is just SO HARD sometimes isn't it? Leila is going through her 6 week growth spurt so some days she sleeps more, some days she feeds more and some days she is just very unsettled. I'm pretty sure it will all settle down in the next few days though. Last night I was so utterly exhausted, every part of me was tired nd aching and I was sure if I didn't have a baby to look after I could of gone to bed and slept for 3 days straight!! I got about 6 hours though so that's pretty good, DH did one of the feeds for me

Stevie happy anniversary! I really hope you and DH have a lovely day together. Managing a relationship and a new baby is really tough. You both have to focus on working through your problems. It definitely sounds like you have the right attitude which I think is fantastic and I'm sure you will be able to get through this tough time

LJ I hear you on the frustration In the early days I would get so angry and frustrated I even yelled at poor Leila a few times. She just wouldn't sleep and after many sleepless nights I remember grabbing her out of the bassinet and yelling "what's wrong with you! Why wont you sleep!!!" Of course then I felt terrible and I had to leave the room and get DH to go into her because I was scared of what I was doing. I honestly thought I was going crazy Turns out the poor little girl just hates sleeping on her back, once we flipped her onto her tummy the problem vanished instantly! Not saying there is an easy solution for you, just letting you know that I've been there and totally get the feelings you are experiencing Time out, even for 5 minutes can make the world of difference

AFM I'm finding having 3 in the family very difficult at times. DH seems to have so much freedom and I feel so restricted at times. We don't live near shops so it's hard to take a small baby out when we need to drive 20-30 minutes to get anywhere as I find it very disruptive to her sleep patterns and she becomes quite unsettled. I do take her out, just not every day of course. DH often sends me messages saying he will be home late as he's going to the gym or going shopping or to visit a friend or whatever. He had his work xmas party on Friday lunchtime so of course he drank a lot, which is fine I was happy for him to be having such a good time but of course it meant that he was no help Friday night, again this was fine but then on Saturday morning he got up and went out saying he would be gone for several hours.... WTF?? I'm absolutely exhausted and he hardly spends any quality time with his daughter and now when he has the chance to help me and bond with his baby he just goes out for the day! Grrrr Anyway I cracked it with him and told him how it's not fair that he can just go off and do whatever he wants whenever he wants and that I need some time out too and he needs to be more suportive of me and more interactive with Leila. He told me I was an annoying nagging housewife Anyway he ended up doing the middle of the night feed last night and is currently cleaning the kitchen so obviously he feels bad and realises that it's not easy looking after a baby. It's so frustrating that we need to have an argument for him to realise that he needs to help me more.

Hi to everyone else, hope you and your bubba's are well and staying cool.

    Fi
