wb belfie... Man i do wish Mia would drink that much. Shes lucky to down 120mls on a good feed.. ho hum

I got her some Bruers Stomach calm today (friggin $17 a bottle!). its meant to help with her chuckyness and reflux and stuff but about 3 hours after i gave her some she had a temp of 36.9-37 so im not sure if shes had a reaction to it or not. So i gave her some panadol to bring temp down and put the little possum to bed.. but ill keep an eye on her.

    Good work amy!

HOllye- bruars is all natural so i would be surprised if she had a reaction ... but then again it is possible. is there any other signs, rashes, swelling etc/

IMO 37 isnt a temperature i would just dress her a little lighter. Unfortunately if she was on her way to a fever the panadol may have stopped it eventuating and so it is hard to tell if she had a fever or just warm

her head was really hot but the rest of her was cold.. and she wanted to be wrapped up with a blanket coz everytime we took it off she cracked it. She alos started shaking a little. I got her up for a feed about an hour ago and she seemed ok. Im not sure but i did check her temp again then too and it was back down to 36.4 (which is what she is all the time). Even tho im not sure about that new stuff she hasnt spewed at all the last 2 feeds. so do i keep using it?????

perhaps check with your doc before you use it again HOllye.
damn expensive stuff! can you get her into the gp or is there a hotline you can call?
I just checked the site and it is reccommended from 6 months... did you know this?

I would hold off - perhaps a little cammomile tea instead? or see a naturapath for something suitable for 3 month old?

on the bottle it says infants under 6 months 1ml. so i dunno..... confusing..... i did check with the pharmasist before i brought it and she said it would be fine because she is ok with the colic drops of the same brand.

Tell me to go suck eggs if you like - just adding to what PP said about temps - I wouldn't consider that a temp either - if it was 37.5 or over and she was cranky/upset etc I would give her panadol, if she had that 37.5 but was still happy, I would just watch and see, could be a cold coming etc. However anything from 38 I give panadol. Otherwise you will find giving them panadol alot as their temps vary alot being so little still and exposed to new things all the time, it is kinda healthy for them to get their immune systems exposed to stuff if that makes sense.

Hope that helps in some way .... and I hope Mia is much better today.

We are off to osteo this morning to get Zander checked - once over just to make sure he is still nice and supple - cos of his fussing on one side I have tried everything else - and there is a good baby osteo here who only charges $35 for babies - reduced rate - so thought I would rule that out too incase he has a tight neck or something.

Hi Girls... We're doing great. Byron is plotting along as usual, though he did wake at 3am this morning.. grrr. I tried to re settle him for a few minutes & he wouldn't so I popped him on the BB & he fed for 4mins then straight back to sleep again.

He had his first swimming lesson yesterday. It was lots of fun. He seemed to enjoy it. He even went under water, lots of times. Maybe he's the next Ian Thorpe lol.

I went to the plastic surgeon on Wednesday. I have to go into hospital for day surgery to have the remains of this mole thing cut out. I'm going to end up with a massive scar, something that resembles a shark bite! DH is taking a couple of days off work to look after Byron while I recover. I'm a little scared...

SAMI I look forward to hearing how the Oesteo goes. I am thinking of taking DS too as he is so so so fussy on the left & I also think he may need some aligning.

well that's a really interesting point re temps... I don't think I've really worked out in my own head what I consider a temp, so it's good food for thought ladies

SamiH - GL with the osteo, hope it helps!

Hollye - hope MIa is back to normal today

Amy_o - LOVE the measurements... I nearly went to measure X just for the fun of it

PP - your dinner sure sounded yummy, think I'll drop in for some too (as I also can't get that here ).

Our 10th wedding anniversary is this May ('cos we're so old & all.. ) - we should prolly do sumthin' special... hmm. My little snorter is still snorting away. He had the runs yesterday too - I'm guessing that's from swallowing too much mucous. Poor little fella, but he's still mostly ok within himself. I just want him to be snorting lots when we go to the paed's this morning... don't want those symptoms to disappear now!

Went to the doc's yesterday (TMI warning). Turns out I've got this extra flap of skin growing that I don't need (and it's constantly raw)... so referred back to my obs and apparently he can get rid of it with a local anaes. Guess it'll be good to do... then I might even think about DTD again! Oh poor DH lol.

just wondering WHAT milestones all of your bubs have reached so far??

Hmmm i try not to bother too much about milestones myself cos my kids have all developed at different times - eg Riley didn't crawl until 11 months/walk at 14 months, yet now he one of the most nimble kids around - Giselle crawled at 7.5 months and walked at 11 months, and still trips over her own feet LOL. Riley was first to sit cos he was so fat and the rolls stopped him from falling over hehehehe, I was so worried when he wasnt crawling - caused me a lot of unnecessary worry. But sometimes bigger babies take longer to walk!

Well Zander has rolled front to back a couple of times and back to front once - he was face planted, but still did it - once i got his arms out from under him he was much happier . He can smile and hold something if I put it in his hand - he eats his hands but has not found his feet yet. He laughs, and tenses his tummy muscles and neck when pulled up to a sitting position from laying down.

For first time mummies, there are variations of normal, as long as your bubs do most of them around the time expected

Osteo - Zander is fine, a little bit tight at base of head so she did some balancing which of course he just hated - means his head held still for a couple of minutes a few times in different positions - no baby likes to be held still! So going back next Friday - but she thinks that if no change to his feeding, it is just him having very favourite side cos there are no other signs such as being unsettled etc

Hollye Happy Birthday, I hope that you have a wonderful 21st.

Sami I'm going to be taking Julian to an osteo as he is having trouble turning to the left. But I was wondering tho what exactly does an osteo do?

I had my best friend and her family come and visit me yesterday, they were up here on holiday from Sydney, it was wonderful to see her again. Got the house all spotless and the boys were excited to see some new people. Boy calling will bbl.

    hugs xoxo

    HAPPY 21st HOLLYE!!!

wow 21, gee that feels like a life time ago! I just want to tell you girl that it is all down hill from 21, the brithdays just keep coming and the numbers keep going up and before you know it you are in your late 20's!! Have a great day with DP and your special little girl!

We are doing ok here, I am managing to drink water so that it is plus although I feel like those frist few weeks of pregnancy (and the end as well!!) constantly peeing all the time. Bethany seems happier the last few days too so I guess I must be improving.

We have family protraits tomorrow. It'll be nice to have good photos of us.

Oh and I went to the GP yesterday for my pap results all normal BTW however I do have a rather nasty untrine infection so that explains the pain and the hot/colds etc. On a course of antibugs for that. Gee what fun childbirth is!!

Well I should start my day somewhat we have to drop off Bethany's rubber ducky collection to a friend from church who homeschools, they are having a rubber ducky day next week. Bethany volunteered her's to go along.

    Later ladies!

lol Amy_o dont scare the girl! lol I am actually looking forward to 30... is that weird?
I find life gets better the older you get, i havent started to wish i was younger yet..

Btw - does your girl where much blue? or just pinks and whites? and do you like frills?

Kat - woohoo on the rolls! Ethan is trying lol but haventgotten there yet. It took ashley almost 5 months to roll so maybe i jjust dont have rollers hehe!

Hollye - Happy birthday gorgeous girl!!! have a wonderful day and i hope you are spoilt rotten!!! I actually popped into the pharmacy to doublecheck for you today and so i am glad to see that you realised it was for 6+. I would tell that pharmacist to check her details! grrr glad she is getting better

Oh and you will be happy to know, ethan 's vomits are getting smaller (still happening but not in such large amounts now).. since we hit that 3 months.. told you it was a magical age lol

    Teru -
little white dots on his lower gum but it could b frm oral thrush,
It could be! i would get it checked by your gp and get some nilstat if it is. Can turn ouchy and nasty if left untreated. are you BF or formula? If bf remember it transfers from mouth to boobies so you need to be extra clean and treat them as well, if bottles, try to be very vigilant in brushing inside the teat with warm soapy water so there is no residue.
As for teething , unsual but not impossible at this age. DS drools heaps but thats babies for you!. Ashley had 20 teeth by 16 months (first through at 6months)... there have been cases of babies born with teeth!!!

Amanda - hope you have a lovely day today! and those boys are well behaved lol

Georgi! - hows the pool going hehe .. one day my dear! Yay for swimming, i thinmk is good to get them used to water early. Ethan has his head under the shower and he doesnt mind at all, ashley on the other hand chucks a nana and rubs her eyes for about 5 minutes after lol...

    Sami - Hi
