I just want to tell you girl that it is all down hill from 21
lol Amy_o dont scare the girl! lol I am actually looking forward to 30... is that weird?
I find life gets better the older you get, i havent started to wish i was younger yet..

Btw - does your girl where much blue? or just pinks and whites? and do you like frills?

Kat - woohoo on the rolls! Ethan is trying lol but haventgotten there yet. It took ashley almost 5 months to roll so maybe i jjust dont have rollers hehe!

Hollye - Happy birthday gorgeous girl!!! have a wonderful day and i hope you are spoilt rotten!!! I actually popped into the pharmacy to doublecheck for you today and so i am glad to see that you realised it was for 6+. I would tell that pharmacist to check her details! grrr glad she is getting better

Oh and you will be happy to know, ethan 's vomits are getting smaller (still happening but not in such large amounts now).. since we hit that 3 months.. told you it was a magical age lol

    Teru -
little white dots on his lower gum but it could b frm oral thrush,
It could be! i would get it checked by your gp and get some nilstat if it is. Can turn ouchy and nasty if left untreated. are you BF or formula? If bf remember it transfers from mouth to boobies so you need to be extra clean and treat them as well, if bottles, try to be very vigilant in brushing inside the teat with warm soapy water so there is no residue.
As for teething , unsual but not impossible at this age. DS drools heaps but thats babies for you!. Ashley had 20 teeth by 16 months (first through at 6months)... there have been cases of babies born with teeth!!!

Amanda - hope you have a lovely day today! and those boys are well behaved lol

Georgi! - hows the pool going hehe .. one day my dear! Yay for swimming, i thinmk is good to get them used to water early. Ethan has his head under the shower and he doesnt mind at all, ashley on the other hand chucks a nana and rubs her eyes for about 5 minutes after lol...

    Sami - Hi

    Bethany's got the cranky's too...must be contagious.

PP~~ She mostly has pinks, white, maybe the odd purples...and we love ruffles!! I am sorry to say that she is the typical girly girl. My MIL hates it!!!

Didn't mean to scare Hollye!! I just remember being told that myself!! LOL I am pretty Ok with my age, it is good having a younger DH who looks even younger than he is, makes me extra young by association!!

I tried to get on the forums on Wednesday and they were down. Then I was busy yesterday and in the mean time there's been heaps of posts and a whole new thread started! Will try and do some personals:

Hollye: Hope you're having a great day. xx

    amy:
I think Maya would be a lovely wedding guest and she brings her own meal, and won't run up the bar tab!
LMAO Yeah it's not like she will cost them any extra!

How's your water drinking going? I can't live without water. I always have a water bottle on me and am always filling it up cos I drink it so quickly.

I know what you mean about a younger DH making you feel younger. I suddenly realised the other day that he's turning 31 this year and I thought "gee I'm old now!" - even though I'm actually already past 31!

teruteru: I know how hard it is to watch someone you love fight an addiction (my brother). Feel free to talk to me if you like.

I bought Maya a cute Bonds hat recently.

Georgi - Do you know when you have to go to hospital yet?

katones and Hollye - I'm also worried about how much Maya eats but I can't actually see how much she eats from the breast! Maya started off a big baby and now only has tiny weight gains. Both of your babies are having big weight gains by comparison. Maya gets weighed next Wednesday and I think she will be about 5kg at 3 months (when she started at 4kg at birth!).

That's all the personals I can manage!

I know I shouldn't compare Maya to other babies but I've found myself doing it a lot lately and it makes me feel terrible. I was so upset after mothers group on Wednesday! Maya is so much smaller than other babies her age (and she started out such a big baby so I can't help thinking it's my fault and I'm not feeding her enough).

Maya also kept on crying lots during mothers group! Whereas the other babies only cried when they were hungry or sleepy. She cried cos she was at a different place with people she doesn't know and she cried at every loud noise. Someone brought a camera to take a photo of all the babies and all the other babies are lying there happy and Maya's crying. I wonder if it's because 99% of the time it's just DH and I and we don't make much noise! So she's not used to noise or other environments or other people. She also cried nearly all day yesterday when a friend of mine came to visit with her one year old (who also would not stop crying).

Also I just haven't been doing tummy time at all because she hated it so much and I couldn't bare to make her do it. So now she's so behind in terms of being able to hold her head up, roll, etc. After I got home on Wednesday I decided I should start tummy time now. And I've found she doesn't mind it for a few minutes now. Question: How often and for how long do all of you have your bubs doing tummy time?

But I've had a HUGE breakthrough with bottle feeding!!! A woman at mothers group suggested a tommy tippee bottle cos it's shaped more like a breast and she lent me hers to try. And Maya actually drinks from it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So far she's drunk from it on 3 separate occasions. I've only given her small amounts and will have to try a bigger feed soon. My plan is to give her some EBM in it every day so that she keeps taking it and hopefully eventually my DH can take over a feed every day.

OK.. I should stop my waffling there! Got the wedding tomorrow! I expect Maya will be unsettled being out and being amongst strangers. I'm planning to take a sling and a pram so hopefully she'll be happy in one of those!

Tanya - i have heard those bottles are fabbo!

As for tummy time. Ethan may get 30hr a day (10 mins a time sometimes).. .but remember that he sleeps on his tummy so he actually likes it

DD HATED tummy time and so we would only give her 5mins a day if any (ooop)...
But she still crawled by 6 months and walked at 11 months so it didnt affect her i feel.

I just stuck up ethans light in his room... sooo cute!

Happy Birthday Hollye - hope you're having a great day! mwah!

Tanya - oooh hun don't beat yourself up. Babies come in such different shapes & sizes, and they all grow at different rates. As long as she's healthy in herself she'll grow at her own sweet pace. And honestly, I worry because I'm sure that X is the fattest in my group! Go figure hey, I reckon they're just all individual. Re tummy time, X doesn't mind it but gets frustrated after a time. I try and do at least a few minutes a few times a day.... but did none the week we were in Tassie...oops!

Also, X is showing no signs of rolling, I think he's too fat he just lies on his belly like a little beetle... his little arms & legs barely touch the ground around his chubba tummy. Good visit to paed's this morning... I'm gonna do the dreaded dairy-free diet (starting next Thurs... I think!?!?). Now we've got both eczema and the snortiness it seems worthwhile. Paed isn't worried about it, given he's thriving, and just thinks that's the way that X is, and hopefully he'll grow out of it. Much to my happiness, X did a magnificent display of snortiness & wheezing right on cue lol. Given the current symptoms, he's probably got a little virus which is making him more mucousy then usual, plus the diarrhoea and being a bit unsettled... hopefully should pass and I'll just keep going with the vaporiser. I've got a sore throat now though, and feel like crap. Darn it. Weight is up (sorry Tanya!) to 7.1kg and I think his rolls of fat will help him when he finally sits - they can prop him up!

And I can't remember who asked re hats, but I love the Bonds hats too - I get mine from Big W.

Bethany not big on tummy time either, I think she feels trapped cause she can't kick and wave her arms around, but she is managing about 10mins aday. Belfie Bethany has the mucus thing too. Although no other symptoms of a milk allergy. The baby nurse just thinks it is her and as long as she is feeding ok not to worry although if she is still snorting I will get the GP to check her at our vacs in a couple of weeks.

PP~~ Am sending post pack your way tomorrow...if I remember to stick it in the box when we are out.

We are on cyclone watch too, sometime this weekend they think. Better make sure I have what we need to evactuate (well evacuate to Grandma and Grandad's they have gas BBQ's so we can still cook and boil water.) I think I have enough of everything but I might grab an extra can of formula just in case. Extra baby panadol too since I think I am nearly out.

    Have a good night mumma's and bubba's!!
