I keep wondering if it's something I've done or am doing?! Tonight I kept trying to make her stay on the bb longer and she just didn't want to and we both got frustrated. So I don't know what else I can do?! But then I wonder if I somehow encouraged her lack of eating by maybe not responding to her hunger cries cos I thought that they were something else. And she learnt to live with feeling hungry. Is that possible I wonder?!

Hi to everyone else i have missed (don't take it personal :p) we are heading out on Sunday (DH b'day & it was Jack's baptism day but had to cancel) for dinner and then home for cake, lets see what else...i went to GP yeturday and luckily got in to see psychologist yesturday (was actually great speaking with someone, got to go back next week) my boy has a very sore butt (teething, come on amber teething necklace!!!) now not sure about if i am returning to work...no baby sitter(MIL) hmmm thats about it for now from me :)
the beach wasnt too bad, it was good change to the hot house we were in. this weather is making me not want to eat...so ice-cream & more ice-cream hehe. we bought a portable air-cond this morn, it makes such a difference!!
kat- im glad dp let me take my nappies. its extra luggage/work but im pretty sure it'll b worth it. im jst hoping that we wont have to use sposies or at least keep it to a minimum!

teru - We got a portable air con too. I do find it helps, but it's not cool in here! It's still hot. I guess just not boiling. I've seriously had enough though! I can't stand the heat!

TANYA Don't be too concerned about Maya's weight. At least she's putting weight on, not losing it. That's when you'd be worried. Some babies become fussy eaters at the 3 month mark. She may be just going through a phase. BJ definately doesn't feed like he use to

BJ went to the Osteo today. And as I suspected he is a little outa whack. We have some things to do at home with him & gotta visit the Osteo again Tuesday week.
Speaking of sizes.. BJ is in 00 but in some brands he wears 0. The 0 fits him width wise, but not length. He's too short. For his corrected age, he's in the 75th percentile for his weight but only 50th percentile for his height. So he's short & fat :lol:

NOooooo! Doggie just licked X on the forehead, and voila - within 10 mins, X has a big welt/hive on his forehead! Does this mean he's allergic to the saliva? I'm guessing so... but would he be likely to grow out of it, or will it only get worse??? I really don't want to have to re-home my beautiful doggie-girl!! But if X is going to get worse/more sensitive.... :rolleyes:

back early girls - sounds dumb but it was even too hot to hang out at the beach with the kids! so we stayed and swam in the pool for 2 days and came home today instead - shame but wasnt worth it - we will go down anothe rtime to be out and about etc

Bj decided to wake for a feed at 3.40am. Well I think he had wind, which is why he woke up. It's easier just to feed him rather than settle him. Plus, he's been such a fussy feeder lately I'm happy to get the extra feeds in. He then woke up at 6.40am but wouldn't feed. I kept trying every 30mins or so. Eventually at 8.15am, while singing to him, he had a short feed before going to sleep. I don't like feeding him before sleep. It stuffs up my routine :wall:
I asked DH to take BJ out for a couple of hours so I can vac & mop my floors today. They both get in the way of that chore. That's all I have planned for today :D

Georgi - My DS1, DD3 and v all are small boned, whereas DS2 and DD4 are both big boned. Not fat just well built. V stayed asleep all night as usual yet the only reason she woke up when she did was I woke her by accident. :) She too hasnt been eating the way I would like, she wont have anymore than 100ml at the most every sitting then around 1-2hrs later will drink maybe another 100ml. She is more of a nibbler. Too me she doesnt seem to have put on any weight as she is light as a feather, yet with anyluck she has put on the approp amount when I see the paed. fingers crossed. I am glad your DH is giving you that chance to get things done around the home. My DH went fishing!!!!!! Without any of the kids!!!!! Ohhh well.
PP - It is scarey huh, hope there is no indecent ones floating around out there that you dont know about. hehehe Glad you had a great time last night. good on you.

csab - When does V get weighed next? Maya is also a fussy, snacky eater. She always has been. But it's worse at the moment. I keep wondering if the heat could be affecting her. I know when I'm hot I don't feel like eating as much.
Georgi - I'm also happy to feed Maya if she wakes during the night at the moment. I want to try and get as much as I can into her. I can't help worrying about her. I guess it's part of being her mum and wanting to see her prosper. Oh Maya's the opposite to BJ - long and skinny.

It's so much cooler today here in Melb! It's supposed to get to 37 but so far has only made it to 30 degrees!! It's such a relief!! The house is still very hot though. Our place is hard to cool down.
Well in Canberra it is currently 38 degrees at 6.10pm

had power outage for a few hrs yesterday, thankfully during the evening when it was much cooler outside. Thank goodness for the cool change, after the scorchers cant really complain too much abt 30+ weather!! Dragon been grizzly lately, poor baby is starting to teeth & getting nappy rash :(

hmm good quesiton re floor mat. I have a fabric one, and I'm also using my Kidsline quilt - it makes a nice solid floor mat with interesting textures in the fabric. I guess I should look at getting a proper one oneday... but at the moment he gets his mirror/crinkly/rustly/interesting things from his toys rather than his mat.
luckily I'm safe from the nappy shopping... but I make up for it with overall shopping... :lol:
And yes... mmm decided he wanted food at 1am... crazy boy!!! But then he stared deeply into my soul & smiled. And it was all worthwhile!

Well the southern ladies are been melted and we have a cyclone!!!! TC Ellie is about 150km off the coast and the winds are incredible, due to hit tomorrow morning at the moment that could change I guess. We are out of the main circle of damage. We'll just get the wind and rain, bout 100KPH + they reckon. I am off the batten down the hatches!!
teru - I was given two play mats. One is washable and has stuff to play with on it plus came with a bonus plastic, overhanging toy bit. The other mat you connect two overhanging rods that toys come off. Not sure if you know what I'm talking about. Hard to describe. But I like the first one much better. I use it as a rug to put her on, instead of the floor, and sometimes put the toy bar thing over her to play with too. I also prefer it cos I can lie on the mat next to her. It's very colourful too which seems to attract her attention.
belfie - What stroller are you looking at getting? DH bought ours on ebay. :) Got a great deal.
amy - I hope everything is ok.
Well.. I am really worried about my little girl (and I think she is the littlest here now). She would only eat small snacky amounts yesterday. Then at 9pm she ate a very small amount, was in bed at 9.30pm, slept till 7.30am, ate OK I guess, then went back to sleep till 10.30am, ate a very small amount, up till 12.30pm, then back down for a sleep and is still asleep. So she's barely eating at all and sleeping heaps! Other than that she seems fine. Lots of pale wet and pooey nappies. Lots of smiles (until she gets tired).
I just don't know why she won't eat more than she does! I keep trying to force her but she's just not interested. Also we don't have anywhere dark to feed her during the day, so I can't try feeding her in the dark to avoid distractions. I have tried to make feeding boring so she sticks with it. But she's just not interested in eating. :(
Tanya - How big is your little bubba girl, as V hasnt hit 4kgs just yet. She snacks most of the day and then sleeps all day. I wont know until another 4weeks and a bit how much she weighs but 3weeks ago she was only 3.39kg. She was 53cms long and her hc was 37cm. I know the heat has been affecting V, as she has been a bit more fussier with the amounts shes been having too. Hang in there hun.. If you are worried then maybe it is a good idea to talk to the DR again with your concerns. hugs

tanya- i think i know what mat u talking abt, how big is it roughly? i want one which is roughly the size of a mattress guess i jst need to keep looking! at the moment im jst using an old blanket but still seems a lil hard on tiles. dont worry too much abt her weight so long as she has enough wet nappies (i think they say 6-8). my friend's DD was only 6kg at 6mths or something like that
