sposies r great for poo. sometimes when im really really lazy he's in a sposie 1st change cos i know he gonna poo. but then again he poos so many times a day so im used to it now :rofl:
im not sure whether its the moogoo or the fact that i loaded his face with cream every 5 mins, but his eczema has gone down YAY! but still goin to the doctors since he still got them on his face & some on his arms etc. going for his shots too...

I think he is starting to want to eat with us at dinner time - he is not happy just sitting in the highchair and is watching our every move trying to grab at things - I havent started any of my kids on solids under 5 months, so he will just have to wait :)

PP poor A again, wasn't she sick not long ago? Hopefully she will be better soon. Got to love the rain, and I'm loving the cooler weather as well, tho not good to do washing in.

Not much happening here, walk part way to school in the pouring rain and one of DS2's friend drove past and offered to take the older boys the rest of the way, which was great. DH and I are planning on having a romantic dinner tomorrow night, if I can get the boys to bed early enough, fingers crossed.

kuraiza - Maya's also been waking a few times a night lately. At one stage she was only waking once. Last night she woke at 2.30am then 6am. But she'd only gotten to bed around 10pm. So I was in bed around midnight. I ended up crawling back in bed after putting her down for a sleep at 8am and she woke at 9am and I was still so tired so I took her into bed with me and dozed while she was on my bb!
teru - Hope Dragon is OK after his needles.
Sami - I hope AF doesn't stay too long.
Maya still poos many times a day too. I can't even imagine what it would be like to have her go a few days without a poo!
My days don't start till 10am or later. I have a massage booked at 9am tomorrow and am now thinking of cancelling cos I just don't think I'll be able to get up and organised for it. I just realised that I would also have to pump before going, so it means I have to get up pretty early.

Jack goes every 2nd/3rd day...i dread these days!!! ROFL....feel like squirting his bum after he poos!!!

I have had the morning from hell!!!
E was awake from 6am - 1pm. Every time i put him down ashley would scream and wake him 10 mins later. i couldnt get her to stay quiet long enough to get him to sleep.
Nightmare.
Finally he is asleep in his cradle swing since 1pm from pure exhaustion i am sure. I hope he stays there until 5pm lol :) As i have an electrician coming and ashley is still awake (thank god for the wiggles right now..

I informed DH this morning that I'd heard about a wonderful new tradition. Instead of buying flowers on valentine's day, to buy your wife something lovely (for her or the house - I'll take either). Given my DH needs hints that are as subtle as a sledgehammer, I'm hoping this one works :lol:

haha awesome! We have an old red coffee machine. Mrs Bright Spark (me) thought she was buying DH a stainless steel one a few years back... didn't pay enough attention to the BIG RED STICKER on the box! :rofl: I offered to swap it, but DH was so entertained he insisted we keep it (and it looks great anyways).
Uh-oh DH just did the pre-emptive strike... letting me know he's been busy in meetings all day & hasn't got out of the office. Hmm or is he laying a false trail?

I always tell my DH not to buy flowers on Valentines Day cos they hike up the prices heaps! But I remind him he's welcome to give me flowers any other day. :lol: I just made my DH a card for Valentines Day. :)

The electrician is coming back tomorrow to fix our fan and replace the light switches.... now i need to find some second had dial knobs for the fans (all broken or missing doh!!!).. and cant afford to replace the whole unit at $50 a pce.

teru - I had a few ppl say to give panadol "in case' but then had plenty of other ppl say that's not done these days - why give it to 'em if they don't need it? And I must say, X hasn't needed it at the time of the needles either time. So i definitely prefer not to... but personal choice, tricky if DP is saying that methinks.
I'm getting to BAS time of year again and I'm sooo behind in our bookkeeping. The last one was Oct which was an absolute nightmare. So I could say that i won't be around much the next few weeks... but :rofl: I'll prolly post more cos i'll be procrastinating!!!

Current guidelines for paracetamol.
It is not advised to routinely give paracetamol before are straight after injections.
As it can mask any initial reaction to the immunisations by reducing any approaching fever.
However if fever is extremely high or baby is very irritable this is when it is advised that paracetamol is better given :)

Mia missed out on her 7:30pm feed, that what happens when ur screaming at mummy for 1.5 hours and fall asleep exhausted and mum decides not to bother ur cranky little bottom. So im hoping she will still sleep till 11pm when i get her up to feed.
its starting to near the time where we are starting our bubs on solids.. how exciting!!

PP - Mia goes to bes at 8pm every night, roll over feed at 11. see if i dont she does still sleep right through till 7am but from about 3 its tossing and turning etc. So 11 is when i usually go to bed and she hardly wakes for it and goes straight back down.
re solids - i have a feeling Mia will be on them about 5-5.5 months. she tries and grabs my food now the little piggy.
I'm most probably won't start solids until around 6mths as I did with Cody and even then he wasn't ready and started more like 7.5mths.
Hollye when you move up here I'll help with Mia if you need it :).

Well i tried something new with ashley tonight. (from the tv show today lol).
We did our usual bedtime routine. Then i turned off the light and sat in the chair silently next to her bed, She climbed off once and i put her back telling her it is bed time. And in less then 10 minutes asleep!!!!!
No screaming, no crying nothing!
wow i hope it wasnt a fluke and actually will work each night. 10 minutes is better than 1.5 hrs screaming.
Anyhow solids, yep ethan isnt really interested. DH let him suck the juice from a grape the other night lol!!! I am a big fan of child lead feeding. so will probably do that with him. Did it with ashley too - let her lead on the chewing front. ie giving her a 1/2 banana rather than mushing it etc.
well, ive gotten away with the panadol so far hope he forgets LOL i really dont know y im so against giving it to dragon
belfie- do u do ur own books? if u want to b a guinea pig, i'll do them for u when i come back. i need a test subject
sami- sounds stupid but in a way i envy u. i need AF to come back so my BF wont have to suffer...

teru - I'm also against giving Maya panadol unnecessarily. I don't give her any panadol before injections. I have only ever given her panadol once now and that was after the last lot of injections when she was very unsettled with a fever. I don't think the fever really needed paracetamol to bring it down, but she was very unsettled and I suddenly thought what if she was in pain and couldn't tell me. In the end I don't think the panadol did much to help actually.

I have no idea when it comes to introducing solids. I like the idea of child led but I don't know how to go about it. Though sometimes Maya seems so interested in putting things in her mouth that I want to give her some of my food to try. :lol:
Well.. DH is currently trying to get Maya to go to sleep! We've been trying since 9pm. He's taken over from me cos I was getting annoyed!

don't think we'll start solids till 6 months... X is showing no signs of being interested at all. I haven't yet started looking at BLS, but I'm very intrigued and plan to look into it more. We're doing a dream feed tonight - X was fussy today, feeding more frequently (then spewing it up lol), so given his last feed was 5.20pm! I love dream feeds when they work - they're just so adorable.

Sorry to hear AF is here for you Belfie & Sami. Wow, I wonder when I'll get her??? BJ is nearing 6months. Though I'm ovulating again. I need to wear a thin pad. Gross. I don't know if you remember but I was complaining a while back of how I woke up in the middle of the night with wet jarmies. Well the last couple of days I've been very wet down there. Sorry TMI... It's alot thinner then EWCM, but I'm guessing that's what it is. AF didn't show last time this happened so I hope she doesn't show this time either.
RE: Starting solids... I went to a talk at the clinic about starting solids & I told the lady (I guess shes a MCHN) that I didn't want to start solids till BJ is 6 months, in accordance to the WHO recommendation. And she said that you should start as soon as the baby is showing the 'signs' otherwise you could be delaying their speech & development & that recommendation is cause there are countries out there that don't have quality food therefore bubs would be best only on BM till 6mths, but here in Aus our food is a very high standard so best not to delay it if bubs is ready. Interesting.
SAMI How is Z? Do you think he's teething early? I think BJ is. These uncontrolable bouts of crying, or should I say screaming... He wakes up screaming & is really hard to re settle. My sister thinks that teeth grow while sleeping. What do you think?

My husband got up at 4am to feed Jude because I hadn't really slept much, and he sat Jude in my feeding chair while he went to wash his hands and Jude fell off the chair!!!! Poor baby was crying and crying, I knew he was hurt so I came running out and of course I couldn't get back to sleep after that, so I am pooooooped. But I had mango and ricotta pancakes with golden syrup for breaskfast so at least my tummy is happy.
Oh and Jude was ok, as soon as mummy came to the rescue he stopped crying. I was a bit worried about concussion but he's happy as larry today.
My cycles are pretty on par, but expecting soon for it to get back to a 30day one. They have always been pretty spot on. (I had only mentioned looks like not is) Does that sound snappy, I hope not. :redface: Not happy with AF at the moment. Anyway brighter note got my hair done yesterday so feel a bit better considering.
AF is aunt flo or something like that. i guess its used so its not so straight to the point even thou we all know whats going on...i could be completely wrong LOL

Second time I've had AF - got it for the first time last month. And yeah I assume the AF abbreviation is american... but guess I've just used it cos everyone else does... lol I'm a sheep then :lol::

KURAIZA I wish you can tell my DH that. We've DTD (done the deed) about 4 times since BJ was born (5.5months ago) & he thinks he's got it bad. AF is quite a silly way to disguise menstration. Like Belfie... I'm just a sheep too

PP That's great that you haven't had AF for that long. And that you got your BFP while BF. I should be well & truely finished BF by the time we TTC again. We're starting in Jan 2010, BJ will be 1yr 3mth (corrected). I plan to finish BF when he's 1yr (corrected) in Oct. So maybe I won't get AF till I stop BF... That'd be nice
TERU The tell tale sign for me is the EWCM (egg white cervical mucus) but not everyone gets it. You can also take your temperature every morning & see when your temp jumps up, that means you've ovulated. Also your cervix becomes open & high (yes, that means you have to feel 'up there'). If you're really keen, there's a charting programme called fertility friend Fertility Friend OnLine
oh goodness we haven't DTD at all! My episiotomy took so long to heal (well it didn't heal properly) and now of course it's less than 2 weeks since it was repaired.
DH said rather mournfully the other day that we only DTD 4 times last year and it's true! How sad is that! Twice to conceive X. Then once in first trimester which resulted in bleeding & spotting and we were told to avoid DTD, plus he was waaaay too scared after that. Then in second trimester I had a huge scare and we were told bubs wouldn't make it (at 21.5 weeks) - turned out to be a false alarm, was just a vaginal prolapse. Then DH was too scared again (thought my vagina would fall out I'm sure!). Then in third trimester I bullied him into it (lol!) to try bring on labour - but that was only the once too... I think his words were "novelty value!"... and of course since then it's been episiotomy land.
I tried to console him by saying don't worry, we'll do it at least once this year to create #2... :rofl:. Lucky they don't forget how to do it haha! Poor DH.
Oh and he WAS faking me out yesterday - I got a Valentine's Day pressie this morning, two nice glasses :D sneaky man tehe.

This morning my DH was holding Maya while she was standing and he must not have been supporting her properly cos she did a head dive and I thought for sure she was gonna end up on the floor but he caught her just in time!

Maya woke a couple of times last night. :( She seems to sleep so much lighter now too - any little noise disturbs her. I don't know why?!

- observe bodies signs for ovulation - as Georgi said EWCM and temp are the best to observe, start now so you know what is "normal" for you
- can i just say (cos I am crabby) that whoever does BLS and who doesn't - doesnt mean one is better than the other - we just do what we feel is right for our bubs and our families adn I dont want anyone to feel bad with what they are doing etc ...
- DTD about 6 times - first few times are damn awful though and i am quite nervous :redface: so its just to make sure everything still works really :lol:
