    Hi

Just a quick one from me - DH away and R is sick with a cough - i'll keep him home from school today cos we have a big weekend planned LOL.

Over this eating crapola with Z - brekky - um a couple of sucks of toast - tried weetbix and yoghurt every day (not together) and i think he just doesnt like it. Lunch he will eat a little bit of banana, and dinner suck on whatever and actually swallow some custard. I'm not doing anything "wrong" as such - its just him but is frustrating the hell outta me.

ANyway, he is still a happy chappy and sleeping well at night - 2 out of 3 he will sleep through, but he has a feed around 4am the other one - thats fine. But this morning he decided 5.30 was a good time for wakeup which sucks cos I cant get him back into bed until after preschool run with G - around 9.15 - he is gunna be very tired.

    Gotta go.

    Hi All,

Sorry re the peronals too, I just dont have it in me today. I was admitted into hospital on Monday after having some nausea on my way to take my DD2 to have a mouth swab done at a pathology near us, well just felt so sick thought there was no way I would make it so had decided to turn off the main road and into the street that was just a corner away from my DD1 school so that I could rest for 30min before going in to get her, and if I had to be sick I would just poke my head out the door. Well as I was approaching this round about turning into the street of DD's school and just after turning out of the main rd, my eyes decided to play up, they were making everything go black. I finally got around the roundabout and went to duck into the next spot on the side of the rd I could pull the car over into and honestly trying to think of what happened next apart from clipping the car in front and everything going black for a little bit. A few of the parents that had saw what happened came racing over to see if I was alright and to check on the kids even tho no damage to my car and apparantly very little if any to the other car. They called the ambulance and also the police had come too, which I was unable to get out of the car until the ambulance came to make sure all was ok before taking me into the ambulance. Hands and feet had gone all numb and heavy after the blackout apparantly blood pressure had went low too.
I ended up being monitored in emergency for 24hrs, had etgs, brain scan, chest xrays etc then I was sent upto CCU for the next 24hrs and was home last night. Still no reason for passing out, they had decided viral infection. Anyway now the police are deciding to fine me or not. So atm not sure what is going to happen there.
Anyway now abit nervous about driving anywhere.

I hope you are all well. hugs

Oh csab huney - hope you are alright - mighty scary - especially having the car loaded all with precious bundles.

    Just a crappy week hey!

I forgot to say my grandad died yesterday morning too (Qld) and funeral is next Tues - DH has to be somewhere which he can change - but an overnighter with Zander not what I need right now selfishly - they live an hour out of Brissy so would mean fly/hire/drive etc - and best not to take all the kids. ANyways - such is life. My Nana not upset cos she knows I really would be there if I could get away but logistically just too tricky.

So, I know have R & G home from school/preschool - G woke up crying she had a sore tummy and was tired - not going to push her cos that is not fair - especially when I am home still and not at work.

OMG csab - how awful! I hope you are OK. I know how scary it is cos I've fainted a few times in my life - enough that I now make sure I have my mobile close by at all times, even at home. Luckily I can now recognise the signs that I will faint and I can do something about it before it happens. Usually I end up sick with some virus a couple of days later. Obviously my body can't handle some viruses. The most scary for me was when I was on a train and I knew I was going to faint and was desperately trying to stay conscious so that I could get off at the next stop. I stumbled off the train onto a chair and passed out. Well.. how many people saw - many. How many people helped me - none. I was vomiting too. One woman threw a packet of tissues at me. Nice. I had to wait until I could sit up and talk and then called up my brother to come get me. Anyway, just trying to say I know how awful it is to feel that loss of control. I hope it doesn't happen again for you and I can imagine how scared you must be of driving again. It took me a while to get back on a train! I also nearly passed out a number of times while pregnant and kept thinking I hope someone would help me in my pregnant state if I actually did pass out! So it's good that people came to your aid.

Sami - You need a too. Sorry to hear about your grandad. And hope your sick kiddies are better soon. And I hope Z picks up his eating soon. Is there anything he will eat a few spoons of? Is there some food he likes more than others?

    Fluff - Go Jack.

Thanks so much Sami and Tanya, I'm still not 100% well yet but getting there. Spoke to the lady whose car a ran up the back of today and she isnt going to claim anything as there wasnt any damage to her car. Pheww!!! Huge load off my mind.
Sami - So very sorry to hear about your grandad too hun. I hope you are ok. What a week hey? I hope your kids are better soon too, I am hoping to get the two girls back too school tomorrow.

Tanya, I cant believe no one bothered to help you when it happened to you. Thats just disgusting. Those people should be ashamed of themselves. I honestlt couldnt believe how many came over to help me, and to make sure I and the kids were ok. I even said to the police and ambo's that you dont realise how many nice people are out there until something like this happens. I asked my DD"s school to make a special note in their school newsletter to say thankyou to those parents that came to help me. I hope they see it.
On a brighter note V has her second bottom toothj and her 1st top tooth come thru, her second top tooth is almost there too.

CSAB - oh my goodness how scary for you, I hope you feel better soon and I'm so glad to hear that the other lady is being nice - you don't need that being a hassle on top of everythign else. I also think it was lovely that all the parents from the school were helpful. Great about V's teeth tooth

Tanya - that's awful about ppl not helping you! One of my colleagues had trouble with that on the train when she was PG but she did get helped. I never fainted (nor came near) I was more likely to want to vomit on them lol... instead they just wondered why I ate so many fruit tingles, ha! Re Maya moving forward, X is the same, it's all sideways and backwards but nothing forwards lol. He gets frustrated sometimes but lots of rocking on all fours, hopefully not long now! Can Maya sit up on her own? X never gets up on his own like that, and I was wondering how many other bubs do?

SamiH - oh I'm so sorry to hear about your grandad plus not being able to go i hope the sick kiddies are better soon too. Z's eating sounds sooo frustrating, I know how much I hated it when X wouldn't eat... hopefully he'll turn the corner soon?

How much is everyone's bubs eating?

X has come along in leaps & bounds after we took him back to purees, he's now wolfing it down luckily - but we've gotta tackle more texture and finger foods next! I'd really like to get him onto BLS next, I think he's probably pretty ready for it now, whereas earlier he wasn't. Because of his vomiting we were feeding him his solids before his bottle (at direction of paediatric dietician), which is not the normal way of doing things.... so now i'm worryign that he's gonna have too much solids? ok so mebbe this is my MIL getting in my ear again *sigh* he's either having too much or too little or the wrong thing or sleeping too much or sleeping too little. You get the picture... she means well but omg quit with the advice!!! Arrrrrgh Ok i feel better after that little vent.

belfie...in regards to feeding before bottles...it is not recommended...because milk/formular/boobie is the most important in the first 12months food should be offered after they have had their milk as it can interfere with them taking the amounts of milk they 'should' be having.

Jack can sit himself up now such a clever little man pulling himself up on EVERYthing!!!! opening cupboard doors, clapping & waving....such a clever boy (biased i know!!) eating anything & everything offered to him.

sorry shoulda been clearer, was at the direction of paediatric dietician who works at RCH because of his vomiting...he would vomit up the entire feed kinda undoing the whole point of it lol! I'll be going back to her to see if we can change to normal now. Just more curious about amounts

well Zander still does nothing but sit - and observe hmmm LOL

He reaches and is just started to kick the leg around so he reaches on his knee now - but on tummy still just rolls straight to his back and sticks his tongue out - like no way - I dont care - he will get there. Quite happy for him to sit still at the moment - and the other two still bring him everything anyway

Went to ABA meeting on Wed and got a call from the leader today - a lady and her bubba have broken out in chicken pox spots this mroning - damn! Him and Zander were sharing lots of toys and spit too

Zander doesnt like brekky very much - so I give him some banana or try yoghurt at morning tea time - then today he had about 1tbls of tuna mornay for lunch - I made some with little pasta not my spirals (I said I would never buy baby pasta - but meh, I did and so what - he eats it - well not much but some!), he had half a tin of custard so about 3 tbls yep, his favourite me thinks. I have soup for him for dinner (mine) cos we are having fish n chips for dinner WOOOOOTTTT.

Belfie - Trust yourself hunni, when it comes to X. There is always someone that likes to put their 2cents worth in, but at the end of the day your his mummy and really do know what he wants and needs. So glad X is doing better with his eating, he is doing wonderfully. You know I am expecting to be one of those MIL's tho. I really only want to be there if they need me tho and want my advice.

Fluff - What a clever little boy Joack is sitting up on his own. V has no interest just yet. Just enjoys getting everyone else doing things for her.

Sami - V will sit unaided for a little while, but when she tries to grab her toys or feet etc she leans too far forward and cant get back up. Or she will sit and try and look behind her and lose balance. hehehe. She too is also just happy to observe and giggle at something amusing like the kids arguing. She is also just happy for everyone to do everything for her. She isnt interested in getting onto her knees either when on the floor just rolls over head up to watch TV, or the kids or play her toys. I'm also not in any hurry for her to run a muck. hehehe

Amanda- Happy Birthday again hun sorry about it being a disaster tho, and didnt mention on the other thread but glad your move went well.

Well the Dr was a bit surprised about what happened especially since I had only just seen him the day it happened. Anyway looked over the discharge papers and has told me the I have a underactive thyroid which now he wants to look further into. He wants to see if it is just because of what happened or if I actually have a problem there now. Not sure when he is going to have me see my specialist yet either maybe after he does further BT's. He was a bit concerned that I still have the nausea hanging around and gave me some medication to take, but it is nowhere near like it was on Monday. He also told me that with how I described everythign going darker that it is something quite common, and that it isnt like a normal blackout which just knocks you out straight away, where the one I had took abit longer to knock me out. I cant remember what he called it. He also said dont be worried about getting back into the car and driving, I guess tho I wont have any choice come Monday and the kids go back to school.
I have had so many messages from some of the parents at school, all concerned about me, so making me abit more nervous about showing my face there. I keep expecting as I drive along " Ohhh look Watch out there's that lady that passed out in her car and taken away by ambulance" Soooo embarrassed and not looking forward to it. I still cant get over that one story I have heard about going around is " Ohh she died " I guess it will give me a bit of a chuckle when I hear more stories.
Anyway now little V seems to be getting a croaky voice, I have to wonder when all the sicknesses will come to an end. I think I am getting quite exhausted getting up to sick kids.

    Hey Ladies... I'm back!

The baptism went well. But poor BJ ended up with a big red eye the day before. It looked like someone had punched him in the eye. Not sure what it is, just got some antibiotic oinment from the docs.

BJ's sleeping has been terrible. I guess that's expected when you're away from home. I just hope it doesn't take much to get him back into routine.

I also decided to drop the dream feed so that could also be contributing to his early wakings.

I have decided to wean him off the breast. He has been biting me, and with top & bottom teeth it is not funny at all. A few times I could do nothing but cry. Now he seems to chomp down while feeding. When he finishes he's left top teeth marks on my nipple. I tried to give him a bottle of formula the other day & he gagged. He hates the taste. So I'm going to get him comfortable with the bottle first, then slowly add the formula until he's taking full feeds. It seems like such a big task but it really needs to be done.

I'll catch up on personals soon. Mwah!

BJ is going great guns on the bottle. I'm slowly adding Formula to the EBM & will continue to increase the quantity until he's taking all formula. I'm still bf'ing the first feed of the morning (cause I'm too lazy to make up a bottle at that time of morning). I am a little sad that my BF journey is just about finished, but I am glad to have my body back.

CSAB My mobile phone died last night. Can you call or sms me with your number again please. I did send you an email but not sure if it's stil the right email addy for you. I hope you're better after your black out incident. OMG, how scary. I hope you're ok

csab - Yeah even though the black out would have been a horrible experience at least you were left feeling like people will help you when you need it. My experience left me feeling like I could be dying in the gutter and people would step over me. I reckon people thought I was drunk or something when I passed out. But still.. to not even stop and ask if I was OK. How are you doing now?

belfie - I wasn't PG at the time I fainted at the train station. I think people would be more likely to help a PG woman or a woman with kids. I did nearly pass out at work a couple of times and people definitely helped me there! No Maya can't sit on her own either. I think babies need to be crawling first? Ohhhhh... you were in my dream last night! I dreamt that you had another baby - a boy! haha.. though I think I was probably really dreaming about my PG friend I saw yesterday.

fluff - sounds like Jack might be walking soon.

Sami - Yay on Z drinking from a cup.

Amanda - Sounds like Julian is doing really well. Glad the move went OK. Hope the tonsillitis goes!

    Georgi
    - Welcome back. Good to hear the baptism went well.

As for me .. I've spent the last few days unpacking the last few things in the main areas of the house and it's finally done. Phew! Just in time for me to have friends over on Sunday and mothers group at my place today. Though I tended to just shove a lot of things into our bedroom, so at some stage I'll have to tackle that room. But at least the main areas are liveable now and I can invite people over.

Yesterday Maya started sucking her thumb. I am so excited. She has been going down for sleeps now with NO CRYING because she can now finally SELF SETTLE!! I really hope this lasts. It's been something I've been working on for a while now. I've been trying to take the dummy out of the equation because she was throwing it out and not using it anyway. So fingers crossed she continues to be happy to self settle.

AND...... she is getting up on her knees now!! And she can kind of lunge/leap forwards. So she can get things in near range that are in front of her now. So she's a little less frustrated. And I taught her to get up on her knees. I kept putting her on her knees and she didn't like it. So I started rocking her on her knees and going "weeeeeeeee" to try and make it fun. And she loved it. Then yesterday she got up BY HERSELF and rocked. And the funniest part of all is.. when she's on her tummy .. if I say "weeeeeeeeeee" she'll get up on her knees and rock.
