belfie - Yeah M is her first grandchild but my bro is mentally ill and she feels like she has to help him all the time. So no room left for me. I hope X is feeling better soon. M is still snotty and not her happy self. She cried for ages today because she was too tired to cope I think. She is sleeping a lot more at the moment. Which is nice for me cos I can get some things done. But I'd rather see her well!

Avasmum - Congrats on your girl.

As for food. Maya loves soups I make. I then dip bread into it and give her the bread to eat - so that it's all gooey with soup. She particularly loves a potato and leek soup I made. She also likes avocado on toast or cruskits. She loves cheese, yoghurt, cucumber, carrot sticks, broccoli, cauliflower, porridge, lite-bix.. Can't think what else. She prefers to pick up food herself and eat it. I do spoon feed her sometimes when I'm in a hurry and for breakfast when she has porridge and lite-bix. I have given her cooked fish and veges ,which she liked and also cooked chicken and veges, which she liked but I think the chicken was a bit too dry. I'm trying to work out how to cook meat so it doesn't turn out so dry. I haven't tried grapes yet. I know that they are a choking hazard so I would cut them up before giving them. I am also struggling to think of new things to try.

Hi to everyone else.
