kuraiza - he tummy is really hard and when she does poo its like one big hard clump and its really dark. Not the norm for her. Ive changed her back to Karicare anyway, we didnt have this problem on karicare before. Shes a regular (2-3 day) pooer and its normally quite explosive IYKWIM lol..
:hiding:
Why is Hollye in hiding??
Gee I think I am coming down with a cold, all snuffly, been blowing my nose all day. :( have cold tablets though and will defeat it.
Belfie - You are doing so well with the EBM. I know how u feel.. ive lost interest (if thats the way to put it) in putting Mia to the breast. I put her to the breast yesterday and she had a few sucks and then pulled off, screwed up her face as if to say "mummy what is that ****?" lol If u still want X to have some bobbie time, just put him on for 1-2 minutes each sides before a feed. Im suggesting this coz when they are hungry they suck harder so in turn ur body will produce more milk so then more for u to express if u catch my drift. Also there is NO problem with expressing fulltime.. as there is no problem FF full time.
What is it with mother in laws and their sons. My MIL has a huge problem in letting DP live his life. She treats him like hes 2. Its pathetic. We even went through a stage where she was like "oh hes my boy and if i told him to break up with u, he would". She can be good but she can also be so evil and shes always butting in. Pain in the ass i say! Hence why we are moving away!! whahahahaha!
i hear yas on the MIL front...my MIL is a biatch!!!! every time we visit (which i try to only make once a week ) :D she takes Jack off me straight away, and now has started wanting to feed him if we are there at feed time.. well it ain't happening!!! i let her once reluctantly :( but god i couldn't give hime the boob any more don't think you are getting in our way of bottle time woman!!! (my thoughts) and changing his nappy.... she is overbearing!!! and she shiats me!! and she rings me during the week asking stupid questions which she already knows the answer to.. to see if she can weasle a visit in...ummm NOPE HE IS ASLEEP is ALWAYS my excuse :D
Mmm I am so glad to hear I don't have the only evil MIL out there... Gee tomorrow is getting closer and I just can't wait...NOT.
Bethany had a marathon sleep this arvo about 4 and a bit hours....does this mean we will be up all night?? She didn't have much of a morning sleep though so that could be it.
Well gotta get dinner on the table.
Bye for now
katones.. i reckon there is a special MIL club they all go to, to work out ways to **** us off!
Amy - it is a known fact, the MORE sleep babies get during the day the BETTER they will sleep at night.. weird... let me know how ur night goes.
**** I think i love Infacol! Gave X some with his feed at 5pm... he's still asleep! It's the first decent non-unsettled day sleep he's had in ages!! WOO HOOO! AND we went to a friend's place and they cooked us dinner... and he slept... ah bliss! The last 5 hours made up for the whole week. Now do I go to bed or see if he wakes...??? Hmm such a pleasant dilemma.
As for the MIL's, wow it sounds like we've all got doozies, makes me feel much better (safety/comfort in numbers!).
Kuraiza - you crack me up with that comment re Amy's MIL
amy_o - that poo sounds impressive!! Mebbe she has hollow legs?
hollye - one of my probs with X and BF'ing was always the start of the feed - he was too hungry & frustrated and impossible to attach, so we'd often do 40ml EBM THEN get him on. So if I do it, I'm better off doing it half way through (mebbe after our nappy change - there's a thought)... I might try it tomorrow, now he's sane & not windy again I'm feeling more mentally able. Plus I think he's been getting wind cos he's such a guts. He took 130ml in 10 mins at his last feed :o that's quick.
Belfie~~ Hollow legs, thats the answer I am sure of it, OMG it was incredible!! I can understand your love for infacol for us it is Marina, oh boy I love that stuff, never ever not have a spare bottle in the house just in case. Would need to delcare a national emergancy should my local pharmacy run out/decide not to stock it (would never happen though the amount of money I spend there for my bipolar meds they know me by name!!Given the amount I spend I should own a portion by now! They all followed the pregnancy week by week and I know the pharmastist by name, David would not do that too me!! LOL)
Well I have done nothing but blow my nose ALL DAY, yup I have a cold. Taking the tablets...DH banished me to the spare room so he and Bethany are spared. His logic was if he got up to her at least he got sleep in between feeds but sleeping with me would have meant hearing me sneeze, blow my nose and cough all night. I think that is a loving remark. Tried to keep my whinging to a minimum but still managed to tell DH I was sure I was dying at least 5 times an hour. If my nose would stop runny for 5 mins I would be fine.
Well the little one is asleep, I am heading to bed too, talk to you tomorrow ladies, sleep well all the mummas and bubbas! mwah!!! (from a distance as not to spread germs)
amy_o aaw  good luck getting rid of the cold, that's foul luck hun
:p SamiH

Hi girls.. I still stalk the thread, just don't post alot. I read each & every post.
We had Byron's 6 week (corrected age) check up on Thursday & the paed says he's so impressed with Byron's progress that he won't need to see him again  He normally see's the premmies at 6 then 12 months but he has no concerns about Byron at all. That was so good to hear.
I went in with a list of questions & was so re assuring to get the answers. I thought he had reflux but the paed said it was cause of my fire hose of BB's & that if I lay back whilst feeding it should help. Low & behold it has. Byron now feeds for 20 - 30 mins instead of 10min & he doesn't projectile vomit anymore. He also said that bf babies can go weeks without pooing & it's no concern.
I also asked about wind/gas pains. Apparently it gets worse at 6 weeks, then will get better between 8 & 10 weeks. He said I could give 2mls of Mylanta before a feed for the next couple of weeks to get us through it.
Byron has started sleeping right through the night. From 8.30pm to 5.00am, but he doesn't sleep as much during the day. He is still very unsettled at dinner time, but we're learning how to deal with it.
He is still getting his play/aerobics & I am starting to see the benefits to it. He can now roll from his tummy to his back. It's so cute to see. Plus his neck control is fantastic. His flexibility has improved so much too.
BELFIE - My sister fed 2 of her babies by expressing and giving it in a bottle. She fed her first for 5 months that way, & the 2nd for 4 months. There's nothing wrong with that at all. You're still giving your little guy the best possible nutrition
RE: Infacol. I use it too & find it very effective.
RE: MIL's. I have a great one. Sorry, can't complain about anything there.
Have a great day!
just a quicky - georgi. i have the water feature problem too. lmao.
What i do when i get let down i take him off, wait until is has stopped squirting (into a breastpad) then reattach. He gets ancy that he is off but it is really on about 20 secs and he feeds more content not having milk squirting down his throat!
:)
be back soon for personals
*hugs*
Georgi: It's funny that Byron's corrected birth age is so young. He was due 2 days after Jude was due, but Jude came 6 days early so I keep thinking Byron's corrected birth age should be about the same as Jude's age, but it's not and I get confused.
Belfie: I just calls it as I sees it.
Hollye: Did your MIL actually say "oh hes my boy and if i told him to break up with u, he would" or did she just behave like that? MILs are just a nightmare.
When my MIL was visiting she took lots of photos of Jude with my husband but very few of me in any photos, except a few with my back to the camera. Whatever, I just pretend she doesn't exist. She's such a small part of my life. Thank God she lives in the USA
Jude's a catnapper and I'm starting to just accept it. Getting him to sleep in the day time is impossible and a heart-breaking task to attempt. I also believe he's going through the 6-week change, which according to Baby Love lasts 2 - 3 weeks, so hopefully it will get better soon *fingers crossed*. I still don't know how I'm supposed to get anything done, but as he gets older he'll learn to entertain himself and my life will get a little easier.
Kuraiza~~ you are coping great, keep it up!
Well I have to face it, time to leave for the afternoon at the in laws... I keep telling myself it will probably be better than I am thinking...right??Although my cold is much better I would rather just hang at home KWIM? Oh well. Bethany is still asleep so there is a good chance she will be awake for a bit when we are there so she can take all the photos she wants.... I think I have my cranky pants on that was a bit sarcastic wasn't it! LOL See ya when we return....
kuraiza - No she actually said that to me!!!
Great night here. Mia after her "feral hours" ill cal them, which is around 7pm onwards. She went to sleep at 9:30pm and slept till 4:30am! Stupid me didnt go to bed till after 11 coz i thought she was just gonna wake again. She then fed and was back down by 5:30 and slept till 8:30.. ahh bliss.. i can put up with that quite easily!
We went for a drive to benalla today, to the target there. Got Mia 3 gorgeous outfits. Just have to decide which one she wears to her next photo shoot which is next week! wow that 4 weeks has come around quick.
Belfie - yep makes sense. Mia goes abit crazy when shes real hungry.. shakes her head like a mad woman! lol something so simple can turn out to be something to mentally challenging.
I was talking to DP last night about stuff and i was telling him how pysically this baby thing is fine. My body can go through anything, its just the mental stuff. When they scream at u for hours and hours, it can really do your head in.
anyway, off to do some housework (DP is watching Mia) before my mum gets here... mwah!!!
belfie - maybe I should charge a finders fee for the Infacol! 3am post hey .... well my boy didn't wake for his feed until 4.10 this morning so I shoulda got on and posted at 4.40  I haven't used it for 2 days now in hope that he is able to get wind out by himself and he is doing ok. But, wouldn't hesitate to use it, especially for the overnight/bed time feeds!!
Yes, I have a waterfall when I have a let-down too - bu Zander is just starting to cope with it so that is good too - about time my boobs started to settle down though hmmmm ....
Went shopping and bought 2 new tops today - ones I can breastfeed in - I have been living in jeans and t-shirts pretty much and wanted something a bit nicer for Christmas. My pre-baby tops don't fit me cos of my boobs/back at the moment :( but come the new year all of that should settle down.
georgi - I am hoping Zander is on his way to sleeping through - keeping him up and letting him have a snooze in my arms from around 7 - 7.30 - then a little play and a top-up feed and the last two nights he hasn't woken until 4am for a feed - fingers crossed he shouldn't be too far away now ... by Christmas would be nice.
big Hi to everyone else
Hollye - I did take picture of him in his big boy clothes - but haven't set up a gallery or anything on here - one of those things I keep saying I must do, but time wise just don't get around to - much like cleaning the shelves in the walk-in pantry  But keeping sane is more important.
I am very lucky Zander doesn't have the witching/arsenic hours at night time - I think the kids keep him so well entertained - even when he is overtired he doesn't cry much, just one or two big squawks which either mean - sit me up I need to burp, or I wanna try and go to sleep please help me.
belfie - second mention - imagine a Maxwell Smart voice - "the old feed, play, sleep routine hey".. hehe re your settling class. Riley was fabulous at this routine - Giselle was ok, but zander's is out the window and sometimes he goes to bed twice before another feed, and then catnaps at school drop-offs and all that stuff - but he copes really well cos he has to! But yes, for babies it is great if they can learn to predict/know what comes next so Zander is still wrapped for this reason - plus I think he would poke an eye out too .... like today we wanted to go shopping, he had been down about 30 minutes so I just had to pick him up and put him in the car, whereas with #1 I just would have waited till he woke - aaaah such is life. But once we got there, I sorta wrapped him in the pram so he knew it was still sleep time ...
Tomorrow I am having morning tea with some other girls from work who are on mat leave - 5 of us with babies all born within 2 months of each - amazing. When I say from my work - I "work" with 200 people in the building so maybe not that amazing - but kinda is cos we all know each other pretty well. Does that make sense? Oh well must be time for a coffee for me then .....
Survived lunch...just. DH did a great job defending me and telling her (MIL) to back off when she got too much. Had to laugh, Bethany did lots of grins for FIL but none for MIL!! LOL
Huge problems when we went to settle her to sleep, I put her in another room and tried to keep the routine we had established at home. She cried and I gave her a few minutes before I went in, Well you would have thought I was murdering Bethany or something. "Why are you letting her cry" "Can't you hear her?" and my favourite "you must be really cold hearted to not respond straight away" We explained over and over that we were teaching her to self settle, she was dry and feed and safe, we weren't going to leave her there for hours!! We were leaving her no more than 5 mins!! After awhile I went in to hold her for a bit, I went alone so that Bethany wouldn't get over stimulated (she was already hot and over tired...hello people, cairns wet season heat humidity...turn on the air con!!!) well MIL followed and chatted and chatted and chatted. Grrrrr. Oh well. All over and no crimes committed. :D
I added a few photos of Jude to my gallery.
Glad you survived the MIL, Amy.
Hollye: What the hell ... you need to disassociate with your MIL. She sounds evil!
Well Julian scared the absolute crap out of me last night, he had his last feed at 6:30 and didn't wake up until 4:45am this morning, had a feed and was back in bed by 5:45am then slept till 9:30, when I went in to check that he was alright and found him awake and playing in bed, cheeky little boy. Was another scorcher here today, we were inside with the aircon on most of the time. I'm sorry that all you ladies have such horrible MIL's, I just hope that my future DIL's don't think that of me, I would like to be liked by them. Will be going back to mother's group tomorrow, first time after having Julian so will be good to see all the girls again.
hugs xoxo
I ended up having a fairly quiet weekend instead of being out and about. At lunch time on Saturday my DH suddenly came down with gastro. So I've spent the weekend at home looking after him and DD! Normally I have heaps more help on the weekends from DH but this weekend I had to take care of two people. Ah well.. Now he seems to be doing better.
Anyway, just got Maya down for the night so I'm off to bed now! Night night.
Well, I haven't posted for ages but I've been getting the news via email so I've kept up to speed with everyone. With three girls including baby Loralei and a DH that has been away for almost 6 weeks you can understand why I haven't had chance to post?
Loralei is 10 weeks tomorrow! It's amazing how quickly it goes. She was vaccinated last week and has since come down with a snuffly nose and a little cough. My older two have a slight runny nose and cough too but they're fine and can cope with it... IYKWIM. But, with little Loralei, my heart breaks when I hear her trying to breathe with a booger up the back of her airway and the cough is horrid as she goes all red and tears squeeze from her eyes. She has no fever and the cough and snuffle is fairly mild so nothing to worry about but still it's horrible to hear/watch.
On a very positive note, she sleeps wonderfully. She naps during the day with only true wakeful moments for feeding, bum changes and smiles and back to sleep again. I have her in the rocker mostly during the day so she gets used to her sisters being so noisy all the time. At night Loralei generally goes down around 10ish and will wake once for a feed and will be back to sleep within 20 minutes for several hours. Last night was exceptional!! She last fed at 9.30pm was settled and in her cot at 10pm, I woke up at 5am with that dread of is she okay, she was fine of course so I went back to bed. I awoke to her crying/calling me at 6.30am! What a good little baby! This is the longest she has slept/gone between feeds. I had torpedo boobs of course but that is a small price to pay for sleep.
I will add for those that think I'm bragging that like all babies Loralei constantly changes her sleep routine. She will sleep generally for 5-7 hours first sleep at night and then 3 hours next sleep but some nights she will take over an hour to settle and will wake several times during the night which exhausts me no end and I cannot catch up during the day or afternoon as I have two other children here at home full time.
No personals for me at the moment but I will try to get to some of them later. Big HELLO to all of you.
curl - Good to hear from you. And good to hear that Loralei is doing really well. I hope she gets over her cold soon!
Amanda - Sounds like Julian is giving you lots of sleep. :)
Amy - Glad you got through yesterday. :) Oh and love the pics of Bethany! She's so cute. :) As for poo.. Maya does MANY poos a day and always a MASSIVE poo at some stage that often leaks out of her nappy and onto her clothes and sometimes onto other things like me! I'm starting to wonder if I feed her too much, cos she seriously poos all day long nearly!
kuraiza - Maya's a cat napper during the day too! I think I also need to accept that that's how it is.
Georgi - That's excellent news about Byron doing so well. :)
To everyone else: Hello! Hope everyone's day is going ok!
As for MILs I can't complain. I really love my ILs - I see them as part of the package I got with my DH! They are so helpful and generous. Of course there are some things they do that I don't understand or might not agree with, but overall they are great! My family on the other hand are a different story. Always criticising things I do or say - except for my mother who's great! But she doesn't drive so she can't come up to see me or help me. :( I do remember an ex-boyfriends MIL who was a night mare though. One day she cornered me and started saying "why don't you ever call me?". And I was just thinking WTF - Why would I call her?!
Anyway, DH is doing better and has gone back to work.. so I only have one person to care for today. Ohh.. and I'm not doing controlled crying yet at all.. but I really had to use the loo this morning and put her in her bassinet and I could hear her screaming and then by the time I got back she'd fallen off to sleep! :o
Ahh.. she's calling..
Hello and Happy Monday!! :)
For the first time in ages I feel calm and organised!! Surely that can't last! I have gone back to menu planning each week so I know what I am cooking each night a week in advance, makes shopping so easy and I just get up and do that. No thinking. I ask DH each Wednesnight to contribute ideas but once it is on the fridge it is done. Bethany has settled heaps which was great considering I spent most the weekend with a killer cold. Dosed myself up on echanasia (sp?) garlic, horseradish and all those things and by last night it was mostly gone. Today can't even tell. Bethany is self settleing really well and wait for it....only woke for one feed last night at 3am. She did 9pm-3am then woke again at 6.30am to start the day. Super baby!!
It is stinking hot and sticky here, I think I will melt, bless air con. Our mothers group met out doors this morning, talk about cranky babies. Beth is sleeping but when she wakes I think a nice bath is in order.
I love IL dispite everything, My MIL just seems to have become really strange since Bethany's arrival...Can't get it. Andrew's grandparents are here too and they are lovely. :) Bethany is lucky to have so much extended family. I wish mine where her too. :( Oh well we are probably flying south next year in Feb for visits.
Well I going to keep enjoying the cool and have a read around the place here. :)
Hope all mumma and bubbas are well *mwah*
Question ladies?? Should I be worried, Bethany has not been herself today, Sleeping for hours (4-5) at a time and the biggest feed I could give her was 100mls and that was at midday. And it took an hour. I had to keep at it so to speak and stop to wake her up. She hasn't had any play time just falling asleep straight after feeds. She doesn't have a temp, I have noticed that she has had a few less wet nappies today but thats only looking back now. We have had 2 poopy ones. Its just a big change from a few days back when she was downing nearly 180ml and playing and alert... I know I can call my GP or babynurse tomorrow but I guess I just need some reassurance for tonight.
Amy, I know you said that you have aircon on but do you have Bethany dressed and swaddled? If so she is probably just too hot, which is why she isn't feeding as well as usual. Try to wake her if you are worried by putting a cold washer on her to unsettle her and then feed her. If she nods off before she's drank what you are satisfied with put the washer on her again to stir her again. If she hasn't got a fever and is still urinating/pooing don't be too concerned. Bethany will start feeding again probably when you won't want her to.... around middle of the night. I had issues with getting Loralei to feed adequately but the washer does the trick for me. If in doubt call Tresillian or Karitane for over the phone advice tonight for reassurance.
she's just in her usuall onesie. I don't swaddle her now in the heat. Been using the washer trick! I think I will call the baby line just to put the brain at ease for the night. I think I know on some level that she is ok it is just tough these little people so dependant on you, I worry that I will miss something. Silly huh?
No, you are not silly at all. She's your little girl and it's completely normal for you to be worried about such things. Maybe she's just having a sleepy day and tomorrow she will want to feed all day long.
amy_o I agree with Curl - not silly at all! If you're worried then you should always follow your gut instinct I reckon. Least that's what everyone has told me to do!
Hope everyone had a nice Monday - I managed to get half my Xmas shopping done - minor miracle and the lady at DJ's managed to make me feel like superwoman which was nice. X is still heaps happier on the Infacol. He was a bit unsettled after his early (6am) feed this morning. After about 3 re-settles (and nearly 3 hours later), DH bought him into me (I was having some extra snooze) for cuddles. As I shut my eyes and listened to the wriggling/snorting/grunting/flailing... suddenly there was a small fist covered in soggy mitten thrust against my mouth. I guess he figured that if him slurping on it didn't produce milk, maybe if it went to Mummy's mouth it would work better! And it sure did, as i gave up on sleeping and we got up and had a feed!!!
Itsme, hope you had a nice day looking after only 1!
SamiH - you have been talking about setting up a gallery forever! It's very easy really.. Gallery -> My Photos... click on "upload photo" :p (I guess you have a good excuse with 3 little'uns... I don't know how you do it, really I don't!).
We've got our 2 mth vaccinations tomorrow - should be interesting, wish me luck! I have my children's panadol on hand ready...
Hello to everyone else, hope you're all doing great!
Well we had our usual unsettled period last night (ours goes from about 8-9.30pm I think she is a night owl like her daddy!!) Then down and only one feed overnight (loving that!) and she is still down for the count. I am pretty sure it is just the heat doing her in. I'll see how she goes today, I am just going to stick around home in the cool so that might help. I need to catch up on a few things and get some christmas stuff ready. I can't decide wether to send christmas cards or not...so much effort I have just finished the thank you cards!! Will see maybe if I write a list of the essential people and see how I feel after looking at that.
Well should go and start the day, my floor has a date with the vaccuum and mop so I need to tidy a bit.
Hope good nights were had by all
amy_o, you sound like you are a little less stressed, which is good. I hope Bethany feeds well for you today. I hear you on the floor, mine is in need of a vac & mop. I've written most of my cards but haven't posted yet and our tree went up on Friday (few days early but kids were nagging).
belfie, I have about 1/3 christmas shopping done. Adults are hardest to buy for, MIL's in particular! As for super woman feeling from DJ's woman... it's great isn't it when a stranger gives praise. I've had many comments when shopping with three girls (and no husband) that have made me step back and realise that I'm doing pretty well getting out of the house to get things. LOL about Xander's way of telling you to wake up and feed him. I hope his needles weren't too upsetting for both of you.
Itsme, hi and glad your hubby is healthy again. Men are the worst patients when ill! Nobody is ever as sick as they are, a baby is easier to look after. Speaking of which, Maya didn't get the gastro too did she?
Hello to everyone else :hello:
ALErT
Belfie - I have actually put a couple of photos in the gallery :o:rolleyes::jawdrop: - but gotta download some recent ones from camera . i hope Xander's needles were ok - Zander just unsettled on the friday and he had paracetomol Friday night and was good as gold again on Saturday - hope your little man is the same ....
curl - good to see you back !
Time poor - I am wrapping pressies whilst school is in and my precious daycare day for DD - better make the most of it!!
hi all,
im new to bb. Bub is 2mth today. time flies...
went to mchn this mornin, he's nw 4.9kg
I little tip from my sister. She said if the needle site swells up then mix bicarb soda and water until it is a paste and put it on the site. She says its makes the swelling go down. Not sure if it works but i thought i would let u know.
Mia's great and im stll great. No real hassles here. She had another one of her "moments" lastnight that lasted for a few hours but it happens everynight so im getting used to it. She finally settled at 11:30pm and slept till 6am. so all good.
Belfie - i hope X's needles went well.. poor little bugger.
Teruteru~~ Welcome to BB!!
Curl~~ Feeling less stressed today thanks. I will have Bethany checked tomorrow, we have an appointment anyway with the baby care nurse. I am thinking it is just heat and humidity. It gets me so it must be tough when you are a baby.
Only got the vaccuuming done, to hard to mop, try again tomorrow! Did make an appointment with Twinkle Toes though to have Bethany's casts done. Looking forward to that.
SamiH~~ Saw your pics they are gorgeous!! You and DH make good looking kids!
Hollye~~ Glad things are good, keep up the good work!
Belfie~~ Hope vac's go ok, we do ours on Thursday... I'll be thinkin of you!!
Well more stuff to do so off I go!!
amy - I hope Bethany is doing better today!
teruteru - Welcome! What's your son's name? What 's his birth date?
Belfie - Wow.. 1/2 your Xmas shopping done is impressive. I don't think I'll be able to manage shopping with Maya. Yesterday I went to the nearby chemist with Maya and she started screaming and I couldn't hear myself think! I'm going to get DH to do the Xmas shopping this year.
curl - No Maya thankfully didn't get the gastro. :)
To everyone else: hello! I hope everyone is OK. There's been a few people MIA the last couple of days.
Itsme - So glad to hear that Maya didn't get the bug too! I like your idea of getting hubby to do the christmas shopping. My DH is useless at it though and would end up gettting nothing but gift vouchers for everyone including children! I hear you on baby screaming at chemist, Loralei has had a few moments like that when out and I quickly make my way to an area for a feed (5-10 mins tops!) and then she's settled again (usually). I've had a few people tell me that my baby is crying... derrr! I have ears and they work! What do they want me to do? Push the mute button? If only it were that simple. Besides when Loralei puts on a really good performance I always seem to be in a checkout queue and I can't whip a bb out then so she has to wait a bit.
Amy - I too only got the vacuuming done! Well half the house anyway  the phone kept ringing and then the kids were demanding food (how dare they! LOL!).
SamiH - I looked at your pics too and agree that you made a beautiful baby. I finally put some pics on too for the first time.
teruteru - welcome and congratulations on the birth of your baby boy.
Well, I had a wonderful sleep again last night. Loralei went down at 9.30pm and woke at 6am! I am so loving the full nights sleep! She is sleeping again now and am hoping for a repeat performance tonight. Let's hope this is her new routine . Hubby comes home Thursday night and the girls have been counting down the days while he's been counting the hours! He will be home on holidays for just under 6 weeks over Christmas and I just know we will drive each other mental. I'm so used to doing everything and being able to have the lounge room to myself (read: in control of tv etc) and he'll want to watch the cricket () and hog the wii (love wii fit!). I won't want to be doing the wii fit while he's around because I'm self conscious about such things so I'll have to change my routine and do it in the mornings when he's still asleep.... basically reality has hit me and I'll have him underfoot. That said I am really looking forward to having him home with us. I'm so pleased his official posting has come through and as of Feb he won't be at sea for 2 years.
Curl - OMG at people telling you your baby is crying ! that's hilariously stupid!!! Oooh and I keep meaning to start doing Wii Fit! Tomorrow tomorrow...
SamiH - oh I am SO proud, it's like I have a second child! ok so maybe not, but well done on uploading some pics  such a gorgeous collection of kiddies you've got there!
Itsme - that's so hard when she cries! Does it make a difference if she's in a harness or stroller? X always goes to sleep very quick in the stroller which makes it sooo much easier!
amy_o glad to hear you're feeling a bit better & always nice to get some reassurance when seeing the nurse
teruteru - g'day and welcome :)
Hollye - luckily didn't need the bicarb tip, but thanks anyway (maybe others will find it handy).
Was fascinating going for the vaccination - big hall full of bubbas, kids, prams & parents! Had lovely chats with various mums sitting near me (as you all realise, me being the shy retiring type that I am...). X was GREAT! He is such a little legend. Screwed up his little face & cried a smidge (after sleeping the whole time we were waiting, and waking up at 7.15am to feed JUST when I wanted him to, for good timing). He'd already stopped crying by the time I stood up, and was asleep again within 2 mins. He's been fine all day - if anything a bit sleepier than usual - all feeds have been 4-5 hourly and he's been very settled (and we were out at very noisy BBQ tonight - lotsa young kids there). I was warned by DH's work colleagues to panadol beforehand, but I didn't, and I'm glad I didn't as he didn't seem to need it at all.
Amy_o, good luck with your vac on Thurs, hope it goes as well as ours did.
Awww fanks everyone, of course I think my kids are cute too :)
curl - IKWYM - whenever my DH goes away for an extended time, the adjustment period is always hard - like, no, I NEVER put that there so don't - do it my way  or maybe I am just not as patient as you ....
belfie - yeah I found Zander slept alot on the day of his needles, and glad to hear your little one didn't get a sore tummy. My other two didn't have rotavirus (wasn't in the schedule) I think that is why I was probably more observant than previously. Glad you are proud :nahnah: - yeah life sure is a juggle sometimes with priorities with 3 kiddies :juggling:
Holly - love your new avvie
teruteru - welcome to BB = look forward to chatting with you
Itsme - sometimes it just seems easier to stay home doesn't it! I had one of those days today - but I did get to wrap all our christmas pressies for the kids so I feel I have achieved something :)
amy - Bethany is just doing the girl thing already and keeping you on your toes! Hope your appt tomorrow goes well with the nurse.
I am a bit peeved cos it is 12.50am - Zander woke at 12 and I thought the clock said 2 and I just got up and fed up, if I had of known it was 12 I would have tried giving him a dummy first - now I will probably have a 5am feed :wall: which means not worthwhile going back to bed afterwards with school and everything. Oh to just have a baby again LOL - nah, wouldn't have t any other way of course .... except maybe on Sundays ... a biiiiiig sleep in would be noice ;) But I DO NOT want to go back to 2 feeds a night again - how selfish am I hey!
oooh how annoying on the 12 am feed! I'm sending good vibes that you ain't sitting feeding atm, but are happily still in bed snoozing away! Clearly I'm not still snoozing.. but his last feed was at 8.30pm last night so that's just dandy
