Kuraiza..yep he is huge!!!! PND...not much...i had depression before and just dealt with it... won't do drugs...
hi ladies,
i need a quick fix...just noticed a small crack on my nipple while expressing, is there anything i can do to make it heal overnight??
Katones - 5.8kg is truly impressive!!! And you go girl on the PND, you can do it
SamiH - aaw thanks hun! It's all over his body - very bad on arms & legs, and some on his front & sides and his back is best of all. Plus the cradle cap... *sigh*. There's also psoriasis & psoriatic arthritis in my family & DH has asthma too. Fingers crossed hey. Also, thanks for your earlier comment re expressing. Have to say I have a few things in my favour... double pumping (that's the bomb), X is generally very easy (even with the eczema!), i have only 1 child and DH works from home - so he's here 2-3 days during the week which makes a huge difference - even though he's working, he can help for 5 mins here & there. Also with DH's allergies/sensitivities/skin he's sooo motivated to help me express IYKWIM... so he knows it's a difference in workload for me and consequently for him too. He's a darling, he's so motivated to help with feeds & settling which is really great too. I'm very lucky that all these things make it possible. Plus when we were BF'ing honestly it was a much greater workload than this is... as it was "inefficient BF + LARGE EBM top-up + FF top-up + express". Just EBM & express is sooo much easier/quicker!
PP - what a monster day for you!
Kuraiza - thanks  your comment re choc just made me feel a little better. Good work with the bouncer... we need to get one of those.
I went into work today (melb CBD :o). Was kinda good, but big busy day in the end (out for 5 hours!!!), and X was screaming in the car as I left the city... I don't love driving in the CBD anyways... much less with crying - eek stressful!! There's just been big restructures at my work so I thought my job might go, but no, they've just moved me into a different role! I was kinda hoping for a redundancy... but it's probably better in the long run to keep it.
amy_o - you are SO a nice mummy!
*Tanya* - loving hte new name!!!
hi to everyone I've missed... this is about half of my earlier post where I'd nearly managed to say hiya to all of you.
Teruteru: got any lansinoh? That's great on nipples.
HI All,
Trying to get a chance to pop in and say hi. Seem so busy especially this week for some reason.
Belfie - I hear you with the eczema, Olivia has it too. Thankfully the Dr had prescribed some cream to help get rid of it along with the hormone rash she had. Her face is looking so much better, yet it is now her scalp. I am so hoping that the QV cream works ok for that one. Olive oil on her scalp worked ok, but didnt like the smell it left behind.
Katones - Sorry to hear about the PND. Had my belated 6week checkup today but didnt go into anything apart from having the PAP, ohhh the joys of that one..... Ohh and a blood test. Wow what a good size Jack is, well done hun. hugs
Sami - How is everything going hun, hope all is well. hugs Hope you enjoy the pampering at the hairdressers, I so love the head massages. hehehe
Pink - Hope you enjoyed shopping, did that yesterday and was so glad it wad over by the time I got home.
Kuraiza - Olivia seems to have reflux too, although I am BFing, I want her to have some bottle feed every now and then, yet with the formula she keeps throwing it all up. So looks like I am going to need to buy a supply of the anti reflux formula. Olivia loves being upright, she always more relaxed in that position.
Hollye - How is Mia going? Glad you got out and let DH battle the forces of a crying baby. Now he knows how hard it can be to get anything done. hehehe
Amy - Sorry you had a rough night. My DH said to me in the morning that I have started to be a deep sleeper. I asked why and he said I gave you a hard kiss on the lips in the morning and I didnt even wake. Honestly didnt feel a thing either, yet if any of the kids make noises of a night especially Olivia I hear them. Anyway I just replied that I have been exhausted and feel as tho I havent slept. Even tho Olivia sleeps beautifully, my energy levels have dropped heaps. Hope you have a good night tonight. hugs
Itsme - Yay for the name change. "Tanya" Hope your well. hugs
Amanda - How is everything going with your little man?
Hello to anyone I have missed, I hope you are all well. Hugs
Well finally I have some more news on Olivia, she is now 2580gms, HC 36cm, length 50cm. Woohoo, she is making her mummy bery proud. The Geneteics appt seemed to go well too this week, and the pediatrician was very happy with Olivias progress. She is just a little bubba and is taking a little longer to gain her weight than what other bubs do. She is gaining weight to what her body will allow her too, so thats why he is ok with her. The Heart u/s is now for February 12th, as the Cardioligist is going to be on holidays in January. Olivia also appears to have a tiny little hernia, yet they dont seem to concerned about that either, as it was my DR/GP that mentioned it to me on our belated 6week checkup today. She said to me Olivia is now the size of a newborn. So now hoping that when we go back to the pediatrician in 5weeks time Olivia is over the 3kg mark.
Hello a quick hi before bed, I am so exhusted, have told DH that I HAVE to sleep tonight or we will be in trouble. My psych was concerned with a few things today... lack of sleep is a major trigger for bipolar add in stress and well. Anyway I have been managing pretty well till now and dispite his efforts this morning DH is pretty good. But I can see changes in my mood, actions and the like so I need the sleep and reset the brain so to speak. (My psych has a thing about refering to the brain as a computer, appenently mine needs to shut down and reboot. When I was going through my PTS from the birth it was defraging....mmm years at uni and this is what I get!!) the best part is I know sleep will help, hard part making myself do it and turning off the mummy guilt and letting DH do it for once. As my mum said on the phone it has to be done so do it. I will be a far better mum tomorrow for it and letting it go and seeing what happens isn't fair to Bethany or me or even DH.
Ok so I have rambled and now I am heading in the direction of bed, heres hoping I will be back tomorrow with some posts that make sense and don't have typos and spelling errors.
Night all hope you all get to spend sometime in dreamland!!
Bubbas be good for mammas!!!
belfie- im with u on the bad melb traffic especially with all the roadworks goin on, it can b very stressful :( i have to cross the city to get frm my hse to mums
re lansinoh- at mums tonight so havnt got even the samples, is there anything i can do in the meantime?
ok other suggestions, have you tried putting some breast milk on it? Lucas Paw Paw ointment is meant to be ok too if you have it? Or Olive oil? Or Comfrey ointment (if you have such a thing, I don't!).
ahhhh belfie - i had a dream about u lastnight!!! see i spend way too much time on here!
Busy Busy Busy day today, i better hop to it!
mwah! xoxo
 oooh that's brilliant! What was I doing in your dream? Aaah that cracks me up.
mwah to you too, hope you have a lovely Saturday!
Hi to everyone, hope you have lovely helpful DP/DH's helping you out!
Hey girls, I thought it was time I posted rather than just stalking. This would have to be the most active thread on BB. I just can't keep up.
Byron is doing great. He's feeding much better since I started feeding him lying down or laying back. But one problem....... He doesn't know when to stop. I have to take him off at 30mins otherwise he'll projectile vomit from having too much.
Last Saturday I went to Renstar's baby shower & thought I'd leave Byron at home with DH & a defrosted EBM bottle so I could have a few wines.... Well... Byron was due at 3.30pm for a feed, at 3.45 DH rings & says Byron won't have a bar of the bottle. He just spits it out & howls like he's being fed poison. I said to give him a dummy to get use to the sucking action & try again in 15 mins. Well at 4.30pm DH rings & says he's coming to get me to feed the baby. I'd had about 3 wines (finished the last one at 3.30pm) & wondered what I should do. There wasn't anything I could do so I fed him at 5pm. I figured the once off occaision won't hurt. So now I have decided to express once a day to feed him by bottle so he can get use to it. Otherwise I'll never be able to leave the house. I've just been giving half feeds with the bottle to slowly get him use it. Yesterday he took 100mls which was all that I had expressed, so today I'm gonna try for a full feed. I'm now gonna give him the EBM before bed so he can differentiate (if that's a word) between night & day. That way he might sleep through the night, every night. It's a little hit & miss at the moment. He's been going down at 8.45pm after his 7.30pm feed. Some nights he'll sleep through to 5.30am, other nights he'll wake around 2.30am.
We've got a nice weekly routine going now... Monday mornings we walk with Sasha28, & jane (who I met in hospital), Tuesday we go to the clinic (mothers group) and wednesday we're doing mums & bubs yoga. I kinda feel like a lady of leisure (sp?).
I went to take some pics of Byron dressed in his santa outfit today... The only ones I got was of him howling... He was so tired cause DH got him out of bed at 6am & played with him for 1.5hours when he was meant to be sleeping. Hopefully I can get some better ones later today & i'll upload it.
TeruTeru - I vouch for the lansinoh. I had a serverley blistered nipple when I had mastitis & the lansinoh cleared it right up
Kuraiza - You must be loving that bouncer. I've used one right from the begining & it's a god send. I put Byron in it after every feed to he can stare out the window (nature time) so his feed digests properly. Then again about 5 or 10mins before bed to let him relax & calm down. It works a treat
Hollye - I saw Mia's pics on FB. She's just adorable. So cute.
Csab - So glad to hear Olivia is doing so well. My prayers are paying off! Every time I see a tiny baby at the shops, I always think of you & Olivia. It's so easy to forget how little they once were. I have to look at pics to remind me Byron was so little once
Katones - Byron is nearly 6kgs too. He'll be 8 weeks (corrected) on Tuesday
Belfie - How frustrating losing your post
Sami - Good luck for your outing today. I know exactly how you feel.
Amy - Do you sleep during the day while Bethany sleeps? Sometimes I take Byron to bed with me. That way I don't have to get up to him stirring. I can then sleep him on his side (which he loves), in my arms. We both get a good rest then. Even if you don't sleep, just lay there to rest, it does wonders for your mind
Tanya - Thanks for your comment on my birth story. I was wondering who you were then I noticed your ticker. Glad you got the username you were after
Amanda - Sounds like your having a great time with your new arrival. Man your house must be caotic. A friend of mine has 4 boys & I thought her house was crazy!
PinkP - You really must come down the goldy for a swim one day. My pool is only very little but it does the job
Sorry to anyone I may have missed. I can only read back a page or so while in this screen.
Again, I do read all your posts, everyday, I'm jus slack at posting.
Have a beaut weekend... Man that was a post!
Amy - I hope you had a better night last night and got some much needed sleep. I think sometimes you need to spell things out for men! Though I often don't take my own advice! However last night I did! I was so exhausted and feeling sick, so I basically said "I'm feeding Maya and heading to bed, then she's your responsibility until she wakes for her middle of the night feed!" Then she fell asleep straight after her feed and he didn't actually have to do anything.
Sami - I hope you enjoyed your hair appointment today! :)
belfie - When you lose a post have you tried clicking on the Back button on your web browser? I often find when I click back my post is still there and I just click on submit again and it works! I also save my post before submitting it cos I got sick of losing my posts!
katones - Wow - 5.8 kgs! :o
kuraiza - My friend's baby had reflux - he would scream all the time even after feeds. So she finally took him to the DRs and he told her to give her bub something before a feed to help settle his tummy. I don't know what she was giving her bub though but she said it did help. Maybe getting something to help settle Jude's tummy is worth a try?
csab - Great news on Olivia's growth. :)
Georgi - Yeah I'm probably going to confuse people for a while with the name change! It sounds like things are going well with your routine! I'm still a bit all over the place!
Well yesterday I went to a shopping centre with Maya to pick up photos and I wanted to get some other stuff done like go to Medicare and get a little bit of Xmas shopping done. I made sure I was all organised before I left.. but I got myself all stressed at the thought of being out with a screaming baby! And then she surprised me cos she was so good! The only times she cried was when she was hungry! She even had a couple of sleeps in the pram!! :o Though I didn't stop moving the pram.. even when I was standing still I just kept rocking it! So I managed to stay out for 3 hours!! And I got everything done I wanted to get done!
But when I got home I was so tired and I had a headache. Which just got worse and worse and turned into a migraine - I think from stress, lack of sleep and the heat! I was so exhausted last night and so sick. I wanted to go to bed early for once, but Maya was unsettled. Then at 9pm I started feeding her and just told DH that he could take care of her once I was done! She was in bed by 10pm and so was I, which is earlier than I've been to bed for a while. Unfortunately it still took me a while to get to sleep and she was awake by 3am! So I am still tried but at least I feel MUCH better today!
Hope everyone is having a good Saturday!
Tanya - Glad your feeling much better today, those migraines are horrible when you get them and have to tend to small children/babies. I suffer with them too. Thanks as well, I am just so proud of my little "V".
Georgi - Hi there hun, I love your routine, I love my bouncer, and have always found them so useful with all my bubba's. Its a shame you didnt get to relax at Ren's baby shower. I bet she enjoyed herself tho. How exciting, she is going to be a mummy soon. :) I will always remember when Byron was due, as it is the same day I had Olivia. I still cant believe she is going to be 8weeks on Tuesday. Its funny I keep getting asked by people whereever I go, how many days old is she? Ohh she is a newie. etc. Everytime I tell them how old she is they then ask was she a premie? Then I say no, they are then in shock with how little she is. I have to say tho, she has definately found her voice thats for sure... hehehe. When she wants something she more or less yells for it. hahaha. She even will smile at you one second then bring on the full on loud cry with the next. Then will just stop at the drop of a hat. I think she is going to be a little drama queen when she is older. She is such a cutie, just love her tooooooo bits. :loveshower: With the bottle feeds I had the same problem with my DD1, she wouldnt have a bar of it. I have been giving Olivia the bottle every now and then just incase my BM doesnt last, or if I need to go out and have someone mind the kids I wont have any dramas with feeding Olivia. I have been trying her with S26, she takes it although not that fussed. She prefers the boobie. hehehe. When I have tried to express the milk it takes far too long and normally ends up that she needs another feed, so that takes even longer. Maybe one day I will try expressing again. I am so thrilled for you that Byron is doing so well.
csab: I've given up on expressing because I was the same as you, it took too long then Jude would want to be fed and I'd be drained. That was $90 down the drain (the pump) although I needed it at the time to relieve my mastitis. Whenever needed Jude takes formula from a bottle without hassle and it's nice for my husband to be able to enjoy feeding him from time to time. I have no qualms about going out and leaving Jude with my hubby knowing he can easily be fed anytime. It's quite relaxing to go out, I enjoy it.
Tanya: I keep thinking your asterisks are inverted commas as if to say "itsme, aka tanya". I'm so happy for you that you had a trouble free 3 hours of shopping yesterday, what a relief that must have been!!! I totally understand!
Georgi: Byron is thriving. I don't think I've ever heard of a premature baby that has done as well as Byron. You're in an interesting position because he's actually further advanced than the 8-week adjusted age. The fact that he can roll to one side puts him developmentally ahead of our bubs (I think) and he's quite a big boy now. He's a wonder child!
Belfie: I can almost always get my posts back by using the back button (or press the backspace button, or alt+left arrow). I often copy my entire just before I hit Submit as well.
Teruteru: rub some boob milk over the crack and allow it to air dry. Let your boob roam free while you sleep at night, it will heal itself. I had cracked nipples at first and I just used boob milk. Also, don't wash your nipples with any soap.
Jude gave me a beautiful gift last night. I fed him at 8.30pm and he slept until 4.45am. I'm not expecting it again, but just 1 night's sleep was all I was asking for, and I finally got it. Although I'm still incredibly tired.
He's been sleeping well today, too. I moved the fan in his room so it blows down on him in his bassinet. He likes the moving air. His bouncer is going ok, too. I think it's really helping to settle his tummy after a feed. I've tried Infacol but I don't think he really has wind, he doesn't burp much (but he does fart).
I want to pop Jude in the stroller and go for a walk but it's sooooooooooo hot outside and he hates hates hates the heat, so he's happier in his bed with the fan right now, but, boy am I bored.
Thanks everyone, I got my nights sleep and a nap today. Feeling human again!! Bethany had a star night for DH only waking once and falling straight back to sleep. She's been pretty good all day too. We've thankfully had a quiet day at home since tomorrow is pretty full on and Monday is so so but Tuesday is full full on. By Wednesday I'll need a rest!! Although I am looking forward to tomorrow, we are going to church and a missionary family are visiting before they leave for Madagascar. Last time they were here I was pregnant so I can't wait to show them Bethany, they have a sweet 1 year old so I can't wait to see him too.
Kuraiza~~ I wanted to take Bethany out for a walk today too but too hot, I should check now though it might be nicer now that it is later.
*Tanya*~~ Hope you are feeling better, I haven't had a migraine since having Bethany...touch wood. Take care!!
Georgi~~ I do try to sleep when Bethany does but sometime it is just so tempting to get things done!! I need to be better at letting things go or just wait.
Hugs and hello's to everyone else, hope I didnt miss any personals!! Have a great night :)
ahhhh santa photos tomorrow!!! woot woot!!!!
Santa photo of my kids now for viewing in my gallery ;) Gosh they are gorgeous ....
Personals tomorrow - been a busy day ...
Goodness everyone is so organised with Santa photos! I hadn't even thought about doing this!
Your pic is gorgeous too!
My previously brick-red child is now a normal shade again now thanks to the cream he was prescribed for the eczema - nice to see him looking a bit better again!!
Lucky I have belfie looking after me to put the link to my Santa photo in ....
I'm really not a technophobe gumby, just a bit time poor to learn all the finer things - hey I did my pics, next week will do links ...
Oh and I am getting an avi too Hollye ;)
SamiH - anytime hun! You're still posting at crazy times i see... on the 10 min wait!
Thank you to all the helpful ladies who so nicely said they go back on their browser when it crashes - I normally do to. But my browser had crashed out entirely (lousy browser) so I couldn't even go "back" and I'd forgotten to take a copy... murphy's law right that is what happens when you forget!
Just posted another pic myself, I'm addicted! I'm finally ahead on my expressing! Actually froze 150ml yesterday (first time ever!) and I've got about 450ml in the fridge... yay! So saying, gutsy boy went through 230ml in one feed yesterday :o
Cute photos, gals. I'm not doing santa photos, I'll wait until he understands the concept and he can enjoy the experience., I'm not doing any studio photos until he can smile on cue.
Besides, I'm taking enough photos myself. Here's one.
Does anyone else's baby whimper in short, sharp shrieks when he/she sleeps? It sounds like Jude's having night terrors, or maybe really happy dreams and he's giggling. I don't know, it's weird.
One of the ladies from my antenatal class just emailed to see if anyone's interested in forming a mother's group. I'm relieved because it means she also didn't organise herself to go to mothers group. My family have been on my case about it and I was starting to think I was the only mum in total disarray in the entire world.
KURAIZA - You can come & join our mothers group. We're currently at Palm beach on Tuesday's at 2pm but will be soon changing to someones house each week. There's currently around 20 of us. No doubt that'll drop off. Yeah, Byron is doing very well for a premmie. The nurse at the clinic couldn't believe her eyes when she saw him roll. He can roll on both sides now. It's hard to keep him on his belly for tummy time, he wants to roll all the time. The other mothers were also very shocked. Alot of the bubs in our group are 3 months or older & their bubs aren't doing that yet. I feel a little bad though, like I am one of those pushy mothers who pushes their kids too hard. I don't think I do though. How did Jude cope with that horrific heat yesterday? Byron also slept through the night but I woke up to the thunder at 4.20am, did you? Byron does those short whimpers your talking about. All the time.
BELFIE - Thank you for making the pics easy for me to look at. Very helpful indeed. I think you're doing a great job expressing. 230mls, wow, hungry boy
Just on the santa photos.. I was gonna get Byron to see santa then DH said "Did you get a pic with santa when you were that young" I said "No" he said "Do you care that you didn't" I said "no". So that was that. Yesterday I put him in his santa outfit, but he was so tired he screamed the whole time. I got a couple of pics of him screaming. I couldn't try again later cause it was way too hot.
HOLLYE - I'm looking forward to seeing Mia's santa pics. I bet they'll be gorgeous
AMY - I know exactly what you mean, there's always so much you could be doing. I have learnt to let it go. Everything can wait
Byron wouldn't take his bottle last night. Grrr. I thought he would take a full feed as he took 100mls the day before with ease. So I expressed 180mls then he only took 60. I ended up putting him on my other boob to finish him off. I'll try again tonight, but might try with a new teat. He was happy on the first teat last night, but it took him 15mins to take 20mls. So I swapped teats & he wouldn't have a barr of the other one. So back to the slow teat then he didn't want that one either. How annoying. I'm glad i'm getting ontop of it now, before I need to go somewhere.
He had such a grizzly day yesterday. Lucky DH was here to share the burden with me. I guess it was the heat. Though last night he went to sleep around 9pm & woke at 6am for a feed. He didn't have much before he fell asleep again, then woke at 7am for another little feed, then fell asleep again, then we slept till 9.15am. He had a good feed after that & straight to sleep again. So tired. I'm hoping I can get my floors cleaned today so praying he'll stay asleep.
CSAB - I can just imagine what it's like when your out with Olivia. I had the same issue when I took Byron out. They would ask how old & when I said 8 weeks they would look at me strange, thinking he was only a few days old. Now I go by his corrected age, it's just easier that way. I guess I'm lucky with the expressing thing. It only takes me 15mins to get 180mls. I get 100mls in about 5 mins. I'm not so lucky with him not taking the bottle though. He use to take it while he was in the scn & when he got home from hospital, but I stopped giving it to him. I'll get there
TANYA - That's great that you got so much done yesterday. Hopefully Maya will continue to be co operative whilst your out. Byron use to be hard when we went out, but he's so much better now. I just have a dummy on hand in case he loses it. I don't normally use one, mainly when i'm out.
SAMI - Your santa pic is lovely
I'm off to try & clean my floors... Have a great day!
Georgi - re bottle - Zander is not a fan yet either. I was trying to do it at night time - but have learned because he is too tired and ready for sleep, he doesn't want a bar of the bottle - he wants me - so I have been trying him during the day every so often when he is 1) happy and 2) really hungry - it is ok, he only takes around 130mls (might be normal for him but cos I b/f him I have no idea) but I am glad at the moment he doesn't need to depend on the bottle or he would starve - I'm sure he wouldn't really lol.
Yesterday I fed him at 8.20 before I went to hairdressers - DH fed him at 10.30 (? men, he must be hungry cos he's crying ... ) he took 100mls out of the bottle so not a full feed, but enough to tide him over until I got home etc. Georgi - I had images of DH and all the kids turning up to the hairdressers - and look what happened to you!!! Mummies boys  and booby boys! ;)
Well, I went a big chop - for me anyhoo. Usually my hair is kinda mid back length with layers etc - and now it is so short - for me - styled kinda like Samantha Armytage off Sunrise/7 news - chin length and flicky. My kids were a bit shocked - but they are over it already LOL
No personals, need to eat :0
kuraiza - I hope Jude continues to sleep well for you! And Maya also whimpers in her sleep.
amy - Good to hear you had a better night. :)
Sami - Love the Santa photo. Very cute!
Georgi - I can't get Maya to take a dummy, so I don't have that as a back up.
Yesterday DH and I went out for lunch and had a wonder around some shops. I had Maya in the hug a bub sling and she fell asleep! :) Though my shoulders were very sore towards the end so we couldn't stay out as long as I would have liked. I keep wondering if one of those baby bjorn type carriers would be better for my back! Has anyone used them and if so how do you find it on your back?
Today we went and grabbed my mother who has offered to stay for a couple of days. So that'll be nice having some extra hands!!
Tomorrow Maya is having an ultrasound on her hips (cos she was in the breech position doing the splits!). I hope everything is ok!
Tanya: I have a baby bjorn and it's not great. The shoulder straps just aren't adjustable enough and it's really hot and makes me sweat. A hug-a-bub is much much better on your back. A friend of mine has an ergo and loves it, I've only heard rave reviews about the ergo. Babes in arms sells it and their customer service is fantastic.
Jude didn't sleep so well last night, I nearly lost it. I was so tired and my boobs were out of milk and Jude just wanted to keep drinking so he was head butting me in frustration at 11pm and I just wanted my husband to give him formula so I could sleep. I feel terrible about how upset I got at Jude, yelling at him like it was his fault my boobs don't work.
Today I sat beside his bassinet and patted his nappy while I read him Russian folk tales so I could get him to go for 3 hours between feeds. He's been so demanding lately.
Kur - happy 2 months :) lol
on hotter days bub will drink more often (just as we do!)
Georgi - ethan wont take a bottle at all. think i will be selling all my bottles and steriliser now - didnt use them with ashley and now wont with ethan!
and that pool invitation sounds good! lol
hollye - how are you hun?
AmandaJ - good to meet you today! those boys are a lot of fun! lol :) hope the shopping went well!
hey kel, im sunburnt :( oh poo! But apart from that all good, no big drama's here. Mia is disliking this hot weather but hay not much i can do about it. She had her santa pic done today, she was so we behaved, santa loved her. Tho it seems santa has been on a diet over the year. hrmmm.
https://www.bellybelly.com.au/forums...05&ppuser=7674
I hope this works..... How do I change the link to say 'here' (Belfie ???)
Here is just one pic I took today. I have uploaded 4 of Byron dressed in his santa suit. So cute.
oooooooh! I love the suit!!! Where did you get it?
And as for the "here". Just write the word you want, then highlight it, and click the "Insert Link" icon that is above your message posting window & paste your URL in. It's all about what you have highlighted when you click that icon. Couldn't resist :p
welll....
we have been going good so far.... EXCEPT Jack HATES the car!!!!! screams EVERY time i put him in his car seat for the entire trip to anywhere.. and the entire trip home :(
He is still sleeping from 10ish til 6/6.30am :)
He is going for his needles today :( at 10am.... then we are off to see poppy (its his b'day) and later this afternoon i have to take my dog (old girl) to the vets :( but am waiting to do that when dadda is home so i don't have to drag Jack and the dog along to the vet together.
We have gone up to 180mls at a time of formula.. although he doesn't drink all of it he trys damn hard!!! LOL
We are going great guns with our cloth nappies!!!! I love them :D
georgi! i am loving the outfit!! very cute.
I am still to sew something for ethan.. boys clothes as just a little bit too hard lol.
Kat - great sleeper there hon! i hope the needles go well. WE have ours on wed for both kids... fun fun
As for cloth DS slept 6 hrs in a Cute tooshies.. i am thinking i might get a few side snaps for sleep time as it maynot be as bad on his belly! i guess just spending the xmas bonus!
Ethan is awake now.. but ashley is still asleep! she must be tired from the weekend poor thing!
:)
Hi everyone!! Did we all have a good weekend? Man it was hot and humid here but I could type that everyday for the next 4-5 months and that will get very boring!!
Had a great time a church Bethany slept the whole time which gave me a chance to catch up with the other ladies and kiddies, Baby Bethany as she is known is very popular with the kids and I need to provide a report each week on what she has been up too!! They want to know when she can start Sunday School. :) mmm lets wait for head control first hey?? Also got to catch up with and say good bye to a friend who is heading to Madagascar with her son and husband as missionaries. I admire thier courage, not for me I am afraid. It'll be tough on her and Charlie though going without the things we have here in Aust. I will have to keep my eyes out for boy stuff, he is 15mths so that would be about a size 1 yeah??
Busy busy week ahead here, must make time to rest!! Today we are meeting up with mothers group just at the local shops in doors and air con thank goodness!!
Tomorrow big shopping trip for christmas shopping, new bottles and other bits and bobs. I am taking Andrew's grandparents too cause they like to get out and don't drive. Also having Bethany's foot and hand mould done.
Friday is appointment with new psycharitist.....I hate new psycharitists, you have to start again so to speak. My psychologist will be there so that helps (yep they are different and do different jobs!)
And that is just what I know of this morning!!
Tanya~~ I LOVE my Ergo!!! Honestly it is the best thing. I use it all the time. Remember you need and infant insert until Maya is about 4-5 months. They can get a bit sweaty but it is all cotton so not really a problem. I love it for grocery shopping and just taking her out and about when I don't want to bother with the pram.
Katones~~ Good luck with Jacks needles!!
Bethany does the sleep whimpering too, the other night I had to keep getting up to give her back her dum dum but she was sound asleep the whole time!! (the dum dum was more so we could sleep with out wondering was she awake or what!!??!!)
A big hello to everyone else!!
Have a great Monday!!
Myabe the warmth making everyone sleep - my boy is still in bed at 9am!!! My other little boy DS1 is always awake by 7am - he got up at 8am today - he did have a party at a play centre yesterday arvo from 3.30 - 5.30 (weird time hey) - so maybe he was just exhausted. Giselle woke at 7.45 too - why can't they do this on the weekend?? Hubby home until lunch so he has taken Riley to school for me.
Zander woke at 4.15 for a feed and back in bed by 4.45 without complaint - he is sooooooo good overnight. He last fed at 6.30pm - if only he would wake for another feed at 9 - 10ish he would be sleeping through!! I might work up the courage to try and dream feed him - what do you girls think - leave it alone or try it and be prepared for a shocker night in case he wakes too much and gets upset??? :wall:
belfie aka tech-queen  how is Xander's eczema going?? Were you advised to use it for a week and clear it all up and then see what happens??
amy - dunno about sizes - my DS1 was in size 1 before he was 1 - but he was huge - I would go size 1 for now but if he is a big boy, he might need 2's by 20 months. We have only been to church twice since Zander was born - only cos I seem to run around after the other two  and a bit hard with bubs too. We'll get there for Christmas Eve mass though LOL.
katones - hope needles and vets go well - bugger about the car though, I hardly hear a peep out of Zander - too much going on in my back seat :juggle:
PP - I know what you mean, always one or the other! Maybe after the needles on Wed you should have that drink you posted in another thread ;) What are you doing afterwards - play at the park, icecream???
Tanya - enjoy the extra pair of hands!
Gotta go - more personals later - need to have a coffee before Zander wakes, ...if he ever does ...
Sami-H lol... how about a drink in the park! lol :)
Georgie - Almost bought one of those outfits for Olivia the other day, it was for the little bubba girls one. Size 4 zero's, would have been sooo cute, yet as it didnt have the headband with it decided not to get it, as it was the last one too. Ohhh well. I just love how well Byron is doing. hugs
Kuraiza - I am glad Jude is taking the formula from the bottle for you as well as BFing him. Its nice when the DH's can help out and have that one on one with the little ones. That is another reason I want Olivia to take a bottle every now and then so DH can have time with her, and not just when she is asleep after a feed etc. hugs
Well must go Olivia is calling.
Jack has been very unsettled since his needles but was all smiles for his poppy...
he is asleep on my knee right now , due for his bottle at 2 :)
He screamed for the oral drink part of it...til i shoved his dummy in his mouth :) then screamed again for both needles :( i felt like a horrid mum :(
KAtones... when ashley got her 1 month shots she moved suddenly and the nurse missed and so she had a puncture wound and they had to try again!!!! so stabbed 4 times for 3 immunisations...
i wonder if she will remember when we go in on wednesday...
should i do her or ethan first ahhhh
PP You should do her first, that way she won't know it's coming. Gees you're keen sewing clothes. I wish I could sew.
KATONES I think Byron was really unsettled after his shots. I also think that drink thing gives them the bug a bit. Byron got real spewy for a few days after. I take my hat off to anyone using cloth nappy's. I won't go near them lol
CSAB Nice chatting to you today. Will have to do it more often
SAMI I have tried dream feeding Byron but it doesn't seem to make him sleep longer. I'll dreamfeed him if his last feed was 5.30ish, feed him around 10pm but he wakes at 2/3am every time. So now I just try to get his last feed around 7/8pm so he'll definately sleep through till 2am if not the whole way. I reckon you should try it though. Some babies it works for
AMY It's hard to determine the sizing of boys but you're probably safe getting a size 1. Is he a normal size for a 15mth old?
BELFIE Thanks for that. I'll try it next time. The santa suit was from Big W. So cute aye.
HOLLYE How's that sunburn?
KURAIZA I hope Jude slept better last night
TANYA I have a baby bjorn, I really like it. It doesn't hurt my back at all, though I do get very hot
BBL
kuraiza & amy - Thanks for the ergo suggestion. I actually was going to get an ergo but a friend of mine bought one and didn't like using it with the infant insert so she got a hug-a-bub for her new born and loves it. I do love my hug-a-bub. It's easily adjustable and I feel like Maya's close to me and she does like being in it. But it does hurt my shoulders after an hour or so.
Georgi - Byron is so cute in his Santa suit. :)
katones - Maya would scream every time I took her in the car too. Then I realised she was always sweaty when we arrived somewhere, so now I open her window and she seems happier. She still cries sometimes, but not every time now!
PP - Poor Ashley getting jabbed four times. :( It was hard enough watching Maya getting jabbed two times! Maybe Ashley should go first cos she'll understand what's going on, but Ethan won't.
Maya had her hip ultrasound today and her hips are fine! I knew they would be but took her to her appointment anyway just in case. Tomorrow she has her 8 week check up.
I've also uploaded some new pics: here and another one here.
Georgi - it is my little bit of sanity for all those times i just 'cant get out of the house' lol
Sami - Dreamfeeds never made a difference to ashley nor ethan for us either!
Tanya - great news for maya! you must be happy for the confirmation!
Well i am off to eat rumballs lol
hey
Mia had a rough night lastnight. She had an upset tummy and was spewing all night the poor darlin. SO im buggered and shes buggered and as a result had a pretty average day.
Had her check up today and she is now 4.7kgs! yay! For everything she is smack bang on the 50th percentile except her height. Thats at the 35th i think so shes still a little short. At the end of the day i have one very average bub so nothing exciting there. My MCHN is sending me to see a counciler as im abit depressed. More of its in my head. Its not so much just the hard work its the whole BFing thing that is doing my head in and with it being 12 months on friday since my dad passed away, i just need to get back in the right head space. It will be nice to talk to someone i think. My mothers group starts on the 15th January woot woot! i cant wait.
Went and got some aloe vera spray from the chemist for my sunburn.. feels a little better.
sorry no personals.. have to find something to eat for tea and then its an early night here i think.
