PP - i will have to check your spelling after the shots and the visit to the park ;) Riley would dream feed beautifully but Giselle would purse her lips and nothing was getting for the dream feed - so that didn't work!!
Georgi - yeah, when Zander is asleep - he is asleeeeeeep. Riley was a big boofa baby and was always ready for a feed - I think I will leave it for another couple of weeks and see what happens - can't complain about 4am really at 10 wks old
tanya - glad the hips are fine - best to check them out than not (links not working??)
katones - how is he doing now???
ok - testing out this smile!
-
pretty good day here all round, out about about most of the morning. Mothers group met for coffee at one of the shopping centers. indoors and air con this time!! Then I went and had a heap of blood tests taken, got a sore bruise now. Basically since then we have been home in the cool, although we lost power for about an hour earlier, it came back thankfully would have been a long hot night otherwise!!
I am sure there are personals to write but I am heading to bed for an early one...
Tomorrow is another day! Wish me luck I am going to try and do all my christmas shoppping!!
-
Evening all,
PP was great meeting you and Ashley and Ethan and Nic too, hopefully next time I won't have all the boys to over whelm Ashley. Yeah shopping was good, but my migraine made it a quick outing.
Well I've a busy weekend, on Saturday I had to take Cody to the hospital as he had swallowed a toy whilst playing with Wyatt in their room, was bloody scarey he came out coughing and gagging, so DH put him over his knee and whacked in between his shoulder blades and it must have loosened it and it went down instead of out 3hrs later after xrays, got told it will pass in a few days. Then yesterday he got a temp, which Wyatt had earlier in the week but no other symptoms so panadol and early to bed with him and me. I had a really bad migraine so was in bed by 8:30 and slept until 4:20 when Julian woke for a feed then back to sleep until 7:30 was great and no headache.
We had our playgroup break up today was great lots of fun for the kids and mums and santa even came and gave the kids pressies, it was great we had it at a local park and the kids just went wild on the play equipment and we got home at 2:30 so was a big day. Then tonight we walked around the neighbour hood to look at the chrissy lights.
Have read all posts but a bit time poor, so will try personals later or tomorrow.
hugs xoxo

Jack was VERY fidgety last night but still slept all night til 6.30am :D and was in cloth again last night.
Do any of you girls live in sydney?? so i can meet some of you?? and have a get together?? i am jealous of all you QLD girls....
-
Im jealous of the BRISBANE girls too. Come down to the goldy pleeeeeaaase...
I didn't get a chance to share something with you all yesterday. Warning TMI>>...
Well, Sunday night I woke up around 3am & found my pj shorts to be quite soiled. I thought I'd peed myself until I felt 'down there' & realised it was thicker than wee. I went to the toilet & wondered what was going on... I was wondering what the heck was going on. It was kinda like my waters broke again lol (but not so much)... Anyway, I had to wear a panty liner all day & found later that day to have lots of EWCM. I mean heaps of it. I guess I am O'ing. Gosh, lucky we used a condom a couple of days prior. I hope I don't get AF in two weeks. Could it be too soon? Has anyone else experienced this in the past????
My goodness, Byron is sitting in his rocker & I can hear the explodapoo's coming out. I'm in for a treat!
-
Georgi - LOL I just cleaned up poo-soup myself this morning - he was fussy feeding around 8am and I was getting frustrated - then 4 very lovely noises - I use Aldi nappies and they have never leaked yet thank goodness!!! He does one at least every day - I shudder to think what it would be like if he waited 3 - 4 days as some b/f bubs can ..... eek!
Yep, not too soon to ovulate even though you have been b/f. When Z was 8 weeks I got some very light spotting so I am looking for signs too - I will be peeved if AF comes this early - with the other two DS1 it was 7 months and DD was 4.5 months. So if you don't want an oopsie baby - be careful ;)
-
since stopping B/F that is what i am dreading...AF.... I know for certain though i can't get preggers....
Jack hasn't pooped for 2 days now.... i am scared....LOL he is farting like a trooper and boy does he stink!~!!!!
-
Georgi I would love to meet up with you, it might have to be after the school hols otherwise I've got 5 kids and it could be a bit over whelming, lol. You can O while your b/fing you may or may not get AF tho.
Bbl Julian wants a feed.
hugs xoxo
-
Sam - nice Avi!!!
Katones - My MCHN was telling me she has known a baby to go up to 21 days without having a poo! lol thats seems abit disturbing to me.
oh shes calling again.. she hasnt slept for more than 10 mins at a time today :( :(
-
-
well Jack did finally poo....and he was all smiles after he was done..... I am sure i went through 20 wipes wiping his lil bum when he was pooing...it seemed to go forever!!! LOL thats enough poo talk...
The last 2 nights now...i have taken Jack in the shower..he loves the water on the back of his head...must get hubby to take a piccie of Jack with me in the shower.
-
Just popping in to say hi everyone! Im lurking and reading how you are all going and just wanted to say that Sami - you look hot mama! Whoo hooo!
-
Thanks Tanstar - just boosted my day!
-
katones - yeh Mia has had 2 showers with Matt so far and she LOVES it. its so much easier for me coz i dont have a bath here so when its time to bath her i have to get the bath out, fill it, empty it, etc etcc.
-
Jack has had afew baths in his tub..but most of the time i have a bath and he is in with me :D i love doing this..i did it with my older 2 aswell... BUT having said that it is easier to give him a quick shower at night.
-
girls i am having a little Bellybelly break.
If you want me you can catch me on Facebook or messenger.
please dont be strangers :)
*hugs*
kellie
-
hrmmm ok kel.
What a day :( shes been throwing up not just spewing the past couple hours. Shes been crying..not sleeping... poor lil darl, i think she is sick. I have managed to get her to sleep i just hope she stays there coz shes so exhausted. Me aswell....
-
gosh busy day! I'm loving all those photo links!!!
Hollye - aaw hugs hun . Has she had her shots? is it from the rotateq? I know they said that can make 'em spew for up to a week  hope it get's better soon for you.
Tan - *waves* hiiiiii seems odd not having you in this thread! Make sure you keep coming back to play!
SamiH - love the avi, well done to you! I keep meaning to do that....
Katones - I haven't tried having a shower, too scared I'd drop him. Do you find it slippy?
Georgi - explodapoos - love it! X does those and a few times mid nappy change he's given me two for the price of one... always scary when you see more coming out and there's nothing between you and the poo :o
AmandaJ - eep that's scary on the swallowed toy, but I'm glad it all worked out.
The whole O'ing thought is just scary. My sis just told me she got AF bang on 4 months both times.... I've certainly seen no sign of it. Is anyone else too scared to DTD? I haven't dared yet, but I've also had pretty slow healing from the episiotomy.. and honestly I don't htink it's ready yet. Just wondering if others had found this?
Had my first mother's group today - woo hoo. X was second oldest (by 1 day) and most were about 7-8 weeks. He freaked out the others by sleeping (& snoring) the entire time (even though he was due for a feed - what's with that?). Was ok group... didn't majorly click for me but maybe it'll get better :dunno:. I think I felt too old (and yes i know I'm not THAT old...) but still. Otherwise, just busy busy day cooking dinner, fixing up bookkeeping dramas I missed in Oct (eeep!), I'm so unorganised and I hate having to do it... but trying to explain it to someone else would be more work than doing it myself atm... 'cept for when I stuff things up lol.
Anyways... oh and X's eczema is still heaps better and I'm eating healthily (well a bit less chocolate ) to see if that helps any... plus some fish oil tabs... plus moisturising his little chubby bod heaps... all helping i figure.
Hi to those i missed, hope you're all going well :)
-
Hollye - Sounds like Mia is doing well re growth. :) Sorry to hear she's sick though! And hugs re your dad. My dad's passing is coming up to 9 years in January! The first anniversary is the hardest. Though I still miss my dad and wish he could meet Maya.
Sami - Love the avi!
AmandaJ - Glad to hear Cody is OK!
I feel really slow but sometimes I just cannot work out what the abbreviations you are using mean! Is there somewhere on the BB site with abbreviations and what they mean?? Like what does AF stand for?! I just can't work it out!
Maya had her 8 week check up today. She's 4.65 kgs. So she's put on 450 grams over 4 weeks. I saw a different MCHN today cos mine is on hols. And I had to breast feed Maya while there and when she heard all the noises Maya makes while feeding and saw Maya coming off the breast she said that my milk is coming out to fast for her and I need to feed more reclined. The MCHN said she's probably not getting enough hind milk and might be having upset stomachs which could explain why she's so unsettled ALL DAY! So now I am going to try feeding more reclined and see if that makes any difference.
Actually for some reason Maya has been SO much more unsettled during the last few days! I don't know if it could possibly still be from the injections at all?! She just will not sleep during the day!! But on the upside she's been sleeping more at night. Last night she was in bed at 11pm and didn't wake till 7am! :o But I'm really worried she's not getting enough sleep in a 24 hour period!
-
oops me again... just downloaded the cutest pic!!! (ok so mebbe I'm a bit biased...).
X is having the weirdest week. He was totally unsettled yesterday. Today he's fed at 6.30am, 10.30am (had to re-settle a few times inbetween), 3.45pm and now he's still asleep! He started waking up at 7pm so I took him for a powerwalk around the block and he's gone back off! And stayed off! And it's freaking me out slightly. Is it possible to be too sleepy? Ok I'm just re-reading it and obviously I'm crazy if I'm worrying about sleeping too much. DH just keeps saying just wake him... and i'm like... nooo... not yet... not yet.
-
Awww thanks Belfie - I miss you guys too - I don't like being all split up like this ***sob***. Maybe I will just crash here permanently as well!!
I know what you mean about sleeping hun - James only had 5 feeds in 24 hours yesterday because he sleeps so long at night but he is demand fed and that is 3 hourly so Im just going with it! I would too if I was you unless he is getting day and night back to front and then I would wake him during the day - other than that let him go! Gorgeous pic too hun - love the fact that he is shirtless but with mittens and booties on! :D
Tanya - there is a thread for abbreviations hun will see if I can find it for you! AF is for Aunt Flo-Period! Takes a bit of getting used to but you will get there!
Hollye - I hope you get some rest love.
PP - Hope you are ok..
Katones - I never think of the shower! I shower in the morning and our kidlets bath at night, but I have started taking Izzy with me and she loves it! Baths are great with bubs.
Hi Amanda, Sami (hot stuff ;)) and everyone I have missed! Sorry I can't go back any further!
Anyone have ideas on how to stop my toddler from smothering my baby?? Izzy has been driving me nuts today, wouldn't sleep for her nap, woke up in hysterics (teeth?) and then spent the arvo pretending to kiss James and in the meantime would sit on him, lie on him, watch TV with her feet up on his chest and then slapped his face when I told her off... She just laughs when I pull her away and we have taught her how to be gentle and most of the time she is but she must have known I was tired and feral today and played up on it. Thank goodness James is such a happy man - he will be a tough little cookie surviving all her "love"!!
-
Hi!
Hope everyone had good days.
Hollye~~ Hows Mia going?
Belfie~~ Wise advice given to me by a NICU nurse of many many years...Never wake a sleeping baby!!! They will not let themseleves starve and wake to eat!! :D of course trust your instincts if he is really out of it and not himself check it out
Tanya~~ Hope Maya is more settled soon
Sami~~ Yup you look hot!!
Bethany was soooo good today dispite the day from hell. Grrrr not even worth going in to, it included a car brake down and well you can imagine.
She is sleeping and hopefully will have a better night, don't know where she got the idea to play at 2am from but she did...mmmm. First time so hopefully a one off.
Hello to anyone else I missed
Oh and Bethany LOVES showers!! We have both of us there though one in the shower with her and the other outside. To get her and just in case, as we get more confindent we probably can do it solo.
I'll try and upload some more pics too...got some cute ones in waiting
Bye bye for now!!
-
Hi Amy! I KNEW I forgot a few people.
-
-
Hmmm, so it is possible to get AF after 4months. Oh no.. I was hoping to go at least 5 or 6. I'm not ready for the witch. Gosh I hope it's just O & no AF. Byron is 4 months old on the 28th Dec so we'll see aye.
TANSTAR Nice of you to drop in. Hi.. I use to float between the threads when we were belly buddies but I can only just keep up with this one now
PP I'll definately catch you on FB
AMANDA We'll have to organise a meet up with us Goldy girls & you brissy girls... One day
KATONES Byron is a 2 - 4 day pooper so they are always exploder poos. DH has been taking him in the shower with him lately too. Byron loves it. He's much calmer when he gets out then if he had a bath
My Paediatrician said that one of his patients went 27 days without pooing. Gosh, imagine that. No thanks
HOLLYE I hope Mia has slept a little more for you
SAMI Yes, you look "HOOOT"
BELFIE Yes we've DTD a few times, but I had an easy birth, 4lb 9oz easy! Though I did find it a little uncomfortable, then I was told that if you're BFeeding, you'll need to use KY. So we did last time & it was much better. As for feeling old in mothers group... I hear ya. Most of the mums in our group are mid 20's. There's a couple close to 40 then a few in our early 30's. I do feel old though. Oh yeah, I commented on your photo
TANYA I have the same problem. My milk comes too fast so I lay back on the recliner, or lay down to feed. Since I've been doing that it is much better. Byron doesn't fuss so much & feeds much better
AMY A car brake down... How awful. I get worried mine will do that cause I'm having some electrical problems. I couldn't imagine being stuck somewhere with Byron in the car. I hope it was ok for you
We had our clinc/mothers group today. Byron has put on another 480gm in 2 weeks. I was happy with that. I was a little worried as he hasn't been feeding for long in the past week. I was wondering if he was getting enough. Obviously he is. Looks like his weight gain is slowing down now. He was putting on 250 - 300g each week. As long as he's happy and sleeping then i'm happy.
Off to mums & bubs yoga tomorrow, then getting my legs and 'uh ummm' waxed. I hope it's not too hot
I went through 6 wipes cleaning his exploda poo this morning. It had only been 2 days since his last poop so it wasn't the worst I've delt with.
-
Ok so I wasn't getting emails that there were updates on this forum so I thought everyone was asleep for several days. Lucky I came to check in just in case ... so many posts ... :wall:
Jude has been an angel these last 2 days. We went shopping on Monday and he slept in the wrap the whole time, then he had his shots and he was so brave and good, today he slept all day and we went for a drive to Mount Tambourine and had scones and chai and he slept through it all. He's hardly woken even to eat. Maybe it's an after effect from the shots yesterday, I don't know but he's been a darling.
I've completely accepted waking up during the night and I don't let it upset me because I know it won't last forever and for now I just love Jude so much and whatever he wants ... boobs at 2am... he's welcome to.
God it's hot here tonight, phew!
-
Kuraiza - it's almost enough to make me glad that I live in melb where it's currently raining... almost, but not quite haha! I remember my last trip to QLD.... aaah the sunshine!! GL with a great night tonight, love your attitude. I just heard about a girl doing IVF the other day, she doesn't like talking about or being around babies, too upsetting for her. Made me appreciate once again having our gorgeous little bubbas in our arms.
Well I woke X at 10pm... given it had been since 3.45pm. He's just fed & gone back down again, lordy knows what will happen tonight!
Georgi - thanks for the comment hehe. And gosh I hadn't realised it was so long for you now. My sis said that whatever happened for your mum (or sisters if you have 'em) re AF is a good predictor for you. X tends to poo every 4-5 days but then we get a few days worth in a row... weird but not TOO bad (hasn't exploda-poo-ed outta any nappies recently). His first poo after a week's break did overflow though!
Here's another funny question - do any of your babies do smelly farts? X does REALLY smelly farts, and I know in adults that's usually a sign of digestion not always being as good as it could be. Also, his poos used to be not too smelly and now they just reek! Maybe he's just a being a boy huh.
-
Belfie are you BF'ing? or FF? or have you started giving him F? sorry i should take more notice...Jack does horrific farst ..oh and the smell..... god he is up there with hubby i tell ya!!! LOL And poos..well he is FF so that explains the stench!!
DTD..yep done afew times.. and surprisingly..was abit sore (even though i had a caesar!!) Nope no KY needed :)
I bet in 14 days i am going to get AF... TMI...i was VERY mucousy(sp??) yesturday...
Well i had the most shiat sleep last night...
I had to take my old girl (dog 11yrs old) to the vet...she was PTS at 8 last night :( Monday i took her as she had an ulcer on her cornea.. well yesturday it ruptured...
So now i feel like the worst person ever....
-
Many thanks Mr Rudd!! I get an avvie now!!! :D (I still think he looks like Mr Sheen :))
-
we don't get anything from Mr Rudd :(
i personally think he looks like a paedophile.... he has a creepy look about him...
-
:( its tough the way they did it, I wish they could have figured out a sliding scale so all or most families qualified for something. But I am no economic geneis so I guess he has people for that, And I can see that this way was quick and easy logistally. Anyway I figured give back to the site that has given me so much!! Rest goes to bills (never ending...) and the rainy day account. Boring. I should be partiotic and spend some I suppose. :P
Ignore spelling mistakes please!!
-
smelly farts: my friends bub does really smelly farts n poos but he's FF. Was changing both our bubs in the same room one time n i nearly fainted LOL
Our weekend was interesting...besides having spent it at my mums, i had actually spent a day working after 6mths of bein at home! I dont mind going to my mums but her husband annoys the hell outta me, so it was good n bad. Work-wise...OMG i was buggered by night-time. Friend had just taken over a meat store at Queen Vic so needed my help n boy was it busy on sat :( being on my feet for 8hrs was painful for the knees, not to mention my tits. Lucky i brought the pump along so had to duck into the toilet every 2-3 hrs to relieve myself haha. Still yet to re-book the vacc app (must remember)
We plan to have another kid in the next year so was wondering if any of u had any experience with 2 that r closely aged...
-
wow katones.. i just noticed the TTC thing.. good on u for planning ahead.
yeh K Rudd does look abit pedifilish (is that even a word?) and the ass didnt give us any money either.. had to have a kid by the 14th october... 8 days late... dammit!
-
Tan (from the late Oct) thread has two that are fairly close together.
Re poos - X was on EBM with FF top-ups... but since 1st of Dec, I've finally got my supply up enough he's on pure EBM! WOO HOO! So I woulda thought he'd be less stinky, not more on the EBM. Oh and last night after I finally woke him at 10pm for a feed, he went to 6am this morning so that was nice. And today we're heading out for lunch with my "other" mother's group (from the hossie classes), so that'll be fun!
What's the deal with have a kid by the 14th of Oct? Guess I've been living under a rock, cos I'm not sure what it's about, 'cept I don't think you're talking about the bonus...
Katones - aaww I'm so sorry about your dog
-
as far as i know, baby has to be born by 14 oct (correct me if im wrong)
if tats the case, lucky dragon came early cos he was due 15th lol
-
LOL teruteru about the smell!!!
Hollye..we have to plan ahead...
-
yep, receiving Part A on 14/10 to get $$ (b/f type 1 hand) - if u r eligible as at that date but not receive, will get it at tax time etc.
We get nothing from govt - sometimes i wonder whether it is better to stay at home & not work p/t. by the time i pay child care, parking, professional clothes, lunches, coffees, farewell pressies (dont get me started on that one!) - cheaper to stay at home nearly! lucky i am on a comfy wage otherwise i wouldnt go back next year. cant get child care yet anyhoo - will wait & c.
-
ooh quiet day - were the forums down?
Had my second mother's group today (from our birth class at the hossie) - was great :D I like them heaps more than the other group yesterday lol.
I've just been researching portable bottle warmers - anyone used one? At the venue for our group today the mugs were waaaay too small to heat the bottle properly and it was a PITA... decided I'd rather be self-sufficient in future.
I also got suckered into an online Pumpkin Patch sale today. I SO don't need anymore 00 and 000 clothes.... but I bought some anyway cos they were just so cute!!!!!
Hope you all had a good day :hello:
Cheers,
Belfie
-
yupyup forums were down :( what does PITA stand for, cant quite get my head around that one...
i'd like to know abt portable bottle warmers too, atm i bring a thermos with hot water...i struggle to fit our bottle into our bottle warmer at home even so who knows (i use the Tommee Tippe close to nature)
ETA- im in shock. Dragon been sleepin since 11pm, last feed at 9:30ish, its now 2am...he's breaking a record tonight :D
