HI everyone! I can't keep up with 3 baby threads but I miss you guys Heehee so I thought I would pop in and say hello even though I don't offiially belong here!

Georgi - Yay for Byron sleeping through the night! That is great and makes the days so much easier to handle doesn't it!

Belfie - Sounds like you are doing well! Thanks for the info - I am about to start expressing and freezing so that DH can do a few feeds and have no idea how much he should have!

    Katones- Yay for sleep!!!

Kuraiza - I put on 20 kgs and have lost 14 but once I get to my pre-James weight I need to lose another 8 kgs or so to feel good again I think! I just want to get rid of my C/S overhang though - that disturbs me more than the weight and I wonder if it will ever disappear... ah the joys of 2 c/s in 18 mths.

Cathie - Glad you are doing well!!!

Itsme - Our unsettled time is definitely getting worse, it goes from about 430 til he goes down at 7-8 and then he is down for quite a long time but that time is right on dinner time so makes life interesting. He cluster feeds at that time so must be storing it all up for his big sleep! I just cuddle and feed and do what we have to, to get through but am looking forward to it settling down a bit.

I can't read back any further but hello to PP and AmandaJ and everyone else I have missed!
James is going super well - Sami I'm with you! James goes down between 7-8 for 6 -7 hours and I know I should be happy but I wish he would feed at 10 and then go down! ! He is a contented happy man though so I really can't complain! Lots of awake time with heaps of smiles and even some chuckles which is just adorable! Trying to catch them on camera but it is tricky! We have our MCHN appointment tomorrow - looking forward to seeing how much weight our man has put on again. Last time it was 430grams in 9 days but I am now only feeding one side per feed to ease the spews so it will be interesting to see how we go!!

Ok off to soothe my grizzly guy - have a great day all and I will try to pop in more frequently. I wish these 2 threads could be combined like they used to be. Makes far more sense but ah well.

kuraiza - I swear our babies are in cahoots! Often things that are happening with Jude are also happening with Maya! Maya also hates having baths, but we haven't tried the shower. Though I'm worried that she'd slip out of DH hands with all the water!

My mother baby sat Maya yesterday and DH and I went to Andre Rieu and now I am soooooooooooooo tired! But I had so much fun last night. It was certainly an amazing concert! And happily I didn't worry about Maya at all, so I really enjoyed the concert. It was so nice to go out with DH and not have to worry about her.

Anyway, it turns out that I had saved up 120mls for a feed (it took me 3 weeks to store that much up!) which I thought was enough for a feed, but apparently Maya was looking for more food. But my mother managed to distract her and get her off to sleep, so she didn't have to use any of the formula I bought.

Oh.. and I warned my mother that Maya won't go to sleep till 11pm and that she'll have to carry DD around with her until then. So what happened.. Maya went to sleep at 6pm and woke up at 10.30pm! Mum gave her a feed and put her back in bed at midnight and she slept till 4.30am! DH and I didn't get home till 12.30am and my boobs were so full and sore, so I had to express before going to bed and got out 140 mls! But I didn't get to bed till 1.30am and didn't fall asleep till after 2am. So I only got around 2 hours sleep. Then when I tired to put Maya back down at 5.30am she wanted to be up and bawled for half an hour at the top of her lungs! I finally got her back down after 6am and she slept till about 9am. So I'm surviving on around 5 hours sleep at the moment. I definitely won't be going out that late again for a long time! But I did have a great time.

That's all I can manage now on my limited sleep!

Gosh they're great sleepers aren't they! I must admit, X didn't go over 7 hours until now, which is well over 7 weeks - and he gets a mix of boobie juice and formula. X did another lovely spew on DH this morning (LOVING that he spews on daddy only!). X wasn't phased, just sat there with it streaming down his front AND from both nostrils!! Was quite a sight!!! (it's much funnier when someone else is wearing it! )

PP - you have my sympathy on 2 hours only, that's hard work!

Tan lovely to hear from you! I wish the threads could be combined too (with late Sep as well - hahah!).

Hey Pink: What can we do for you? I've thought about your situation a bit and I've wondered... Are you sure he's really waking up all those times? Jude makes some god-awful noises through the night and I often think he's awake when he's not. Sometimes he wimpers and then falls asleep again. Is he sleeping in the same room as you? If so, it might help to move him to his own room. Or try to see if he'll settle himself (give him just 3 minutes).

Or there might be something else that wakes your bub up through the night. Is there any chance his nappy might be too tight or he's too hot ... have you spoken to a doctor in case there's something medical? I'm not judging, I just want to help in case there's something that can be done to improve your situation.

Lack of sleep is a terrible thing.

He gets really bad tummy pains Kurazia. He is getting slightly better.
During the day he is wonderful. SLeeps 3 hrs and goes down easily (ie self settles). But at night i have no idea what is going on.

Last night i dream fed himat 930 then he woke at 1130 (and when i say woke i mean he is screaming!!!! no just making noises.. as i ignore these or dont here him as he is in his own room).

Then we fell asleep together and he woke at 3am with tummy pains, then proceeded to throw up all over me.

Then i put him in his bed at 330 (he has a little feed but isnt really interested just comfort cause his belly hurts) and he woke at 5am, had a feed, threw up and then woke at 6am when DH's alarm clock went off!!! doh....

so last night was much better. only 3 wake ups.

I wonder because we fall asleep co sleeping i dont burp him (obviously because we are asleep) and then he wakes with all this wind in his gut!

We are still using braurs colic which makes a difference too i think.

Plus he is all snotty and is snorting and sneezing...

But i am hoping it will get better in the next 6 weeks.. hanging for the 12 week mark!

DD fed 2 hrly overnight until she was 3 months so i think it is just my babies! .

KURAIZA - Your seaworld day sounds like a challenge. I wouldn't dare take Byron out for a day like that. I'm still not comfortable bfeeding in public. My let down is so forceful that Byron pulls off & it sprays right across the room. Imagine seeing that happen. AS for your weight loss... That's great! I lost heaps after Byron was born too. I was also lighter than pre pregnancy.. But.... I then put a heap back on. So now I'm still porky. I hope you can keep it off.. Unlike me

KATONES - Yay for your man sleeping more. What a relief aye

SAMI - Byron seems to sleep like Zander. Goes down at 7ish & wakes up once throughout the night then again at 6 or 7am. Although Byron is nearly 3 months old, he's really only 4 weeks. Everything goes by his corrected age so I act as if he was born Oct 14th. That way I won't expect too much from him

BELFIE - I've got my sister & her kids here from interstate too. Glad to hear all is going well with you

TANSTAR - Thanks for dropping in. I'm just hanging in this thread. It's hard enough keeping up with this one. Glad alls great with you

ITSME - That's wonderful that you had a great night out. I bet it was a relief knowing you can leave Maya with your mum without a drama

CATHIE - Sounds like you're doing a great job with the twins. Hooray for getting some sleep too

PP - Are you using a dummy? Maybe if you try resettling with a dummy he will sleep longer therefore feed longer & maybe get him into a longer routine IYKWIM. Just a thought. Hope you're coping ok. I know i'd be stuffed. I take my hat off to you

HOLLYE - Hope your doing well xx

That's as far back as I can go on this screen so I'm sorry for missing anyone.

Well Byron hasn't slept through the night again, boohoo. It must've been a once off occaision. Still, he's pretty good though. Goes down at 7is, wakes at 2ish then 6am ish. I got to bet around 9pm so i'm getting some solid sleep. He hasn't done a poo for 4 days now. He's only now starting to get pains in his tummy. He grumbled from 3.45am so I didn't get much sleep trying to resettle him all morning. I ended up giving him 20mls of water after his feed this morning so i'm hoping that'll do the trick.

Other than that I'm just enjoying spending time with my sister & nieces while they're up here. They go home on Thursday.

Georgi - We are trying the dummy. He is getting better at it but he spits it out a lot and crys.
Plus he is a tummy sleeper and he is a little harder to master the dummy on his tummy as he turns his head side to side BUt we will get there!

I hope byron does a poo soon!!

Ashley has started coming to us now and waving her hand at her nose and says 'ppoooooo' yay!!! its exciting that she is recognising and telling us now..... toliet training soon!

Katones and PP: We do cloth and I have no problems in public with it. I've changed Jude in the parents room at a shopping centre on a change table and just on the sink bench top at Seaworld (I couldn't find a parents room and I didn't particularly care if anyone objected) and of course at the community health centre when he gets weighed.

Jude's still a bit small for the bum Gs and they've leaked a few times, so I actually prefer using flats at the moment. My brother in laws are coming from America to visit (arriving today, eek more visiters) and we suggested they could buy come happy heinys from amazon for us, so fingers crossed we'll get some more MCN soon.

Are your husbands good at changing cloth? My husband loves the Bum Gs.

    kur
dh is an itti fan for ashley! lol
with ethan he still uses sposies but that is ok for a few more weeks. atm i am lucky to use 2 sposies a day - mostly at night.

the bg fit ethan well and so do the HH pockets. i have a baby cheeks on him atm and the leg protection is fab! no chance of leaks and they dont have to b done up tight at the waist to make the legs smaller like the rest as the legs are adjustable!

he is still too small for the baby beehinds yet.
