Hmmm not sure whats happening with my post replies - I think they're very delayed....
Kerrie - Sorry to hear that you got af.....If you do go on the pill it might be worth trying a few different types until you find one that has the least affect on you perhaps?.....
Linda - Glad you had a good night with Emma!
-
Linda - It's meant to be a permanant shift to night shift. The big boss doesn't like me since I hit them up for a worker's compensation claim for something that happened at work. He's putting me on night shift to forget about me IYKWIM.
Kerrie - If it was meant to be, it would be...
Nikki - You smart mummy you  Great to see everything is getting back on track with the sleep department.

Hi girls we had a good weekend and I even got to do some socialising without a baby in tow! I went over to a friends place for a bit of a catch up with some girls from high school and was able to leave my princes at home with her dad till about 1am when she decided she wanted her mum! Not that he was very impressed, he was rather stressed out by the time i got home! I had told him to call if he needed me though! It was great to be able to havea few drinks and unwind without my princess around as a distraction. his sleep school has definately changed things for the better at this stage!
I think i discovered something on saturday night though, I am boring! I kave nothing to tell people unless its about what someone else is up to or about babies! Hmmm... got to get me a life I think!
Nikki - sorry to hear you havent been well, I'm so happy for you that the sleep school worked out for you though, Its a strange feeling having all that extra time and sleep isnt it!
Kirsty- I cant believe Gus is 1 already! How exciting. I hope he is feeling better now. What he get for his birthday?
Linda - yay on Emma sleeping through!
Tracey - I hope you and jordan are feeling better?? Tuesdays are fine with me for catch up! sounds like you are goingto be doing lots of hours now! Your lucky you have family that can have Jordan while you work.
Got to go, the princess is screaming again, I think tooth #4 is on its way!
-
Morning all!
Nikki - thats great that the sleep school seems to have worked for C, you must be relieved! You particularly need to be getting some good sleep atm...
Kristie - it sounds like you had a great day, and it doesnt hurt to miss our little ones every now and then ;) i know that if i go out for the day and leave them with dh i end up dying to see them by lunch time LOL. ugh, the gym, i really need to get moving too i just cannot find the time...
Kat - sorry to hear you are disappointed, but like you said Kat and Jess will have more you time - the silver lining i guess :)
Melissa - thats a pain about the night shift, hopefully it will change soon.
Will has started dancing LOL he will bop around while he is sitting whenever there is music on it is just gorgeous and Molly loves it too she laughs herself silly when he does it LOL. i had a question i was going to ask but i have completely forgotten, it might come back to me... i sent in my application for uni last week, i wont find out if i get in tho until after september fingers crossed.
Have a good day everyone.....
-
maybe I should email my old Uni and find out about finishing my course? Then maybe I could go thru and do midwifery?..... I just don't know I want to do nursing so much anymore as there is nothing but politics and covering butts nowadays. Unfortunately patients seem to come after all of that now when they should come first.
-
Hi!
Well, I'm buggered. I'm going to be so sore tomorrow! Louis went well in the creche except he won't go to sleep now. I've got him in his cot but he's just sitting/standing up chatting away....
Cindy - I know what you mean about boring - we went out a few weeks ago with a bunch of people that don't have kids and sometimes it's really hard to come up with stuff to say when your whole life right now revolves around your bubba! (I just had a few more drinks...hehehe) At the gym they had a sign up for a ball that they're having to raise money for canteen so I'm going to talk dh into going. It would be fun to get all dressed up and have a night out. Hope Tori's teeth don't give her too much trouble!
Kell - Louis bops to music as well! It's so cute. Good luck with your uni app!
Kerrie - you should! You might have it all done before the next bubba comes along then....
-
kerrie, its never to late to go back to uni.i went when corey was 2.i am so glad i did.i was thinking about doing midwifery next, mmmm.not for a while anyway.sorry to here about your bfn.it will be so much better when you plan for it all too happen i think.

I just don't know when I would have the time. Atm I have two babies to look after and a house to keep clean etc not to mention my weekends are spent renovating with DH and making this place more comfortable.... I don't get much peace and quiet and my uni doesn't offer nursing as a distance program so I'd have to go to uni every day.... I just don't think I can do that atm....
-
Kirstie good on you for getting out and getting into the gym, wish I could be that motivated. Its good to hear that Louis is settled into a good sleep routine now.
Cindy INWYM but being a little boring. Even though I go to work I sometimes dont relate to everyone. They come in on mondays and tell everyone about their mad drunken weekends, I tell them I went to a mates and played pictionary LOL.
Nikki YEAH I am so glad the stay at tweedle has improved Chantelles sleep, just what you needed. Sorry to see you are sick, we are aswell. I hope I didnt give it to you when we met up the other day
Kell LOL about Wills dancing.
Kerrie sorry to haer about your BFN but I am sure if you want another bubs it will happen for you when both you and DH are ready.
Melissa how are ou coping with night shift? I dont think I could handle it to be honest. I find working 8-4.30 draining enough.
Well my work hours are changed AGAIN. My boss just rang and said I can work saturdays (oh I have taken a sickie today). So now I will work monday, wednesday, friday and saturday. As saturday is time and half i will work dame hours but for more money, gotta love that. DH will also have to get up early every saturday to look after Jordan when I leave for work so thats amusing, he normally sleeps in and I have him in the mornings, oh how things will change.
Well I am feeling better today so will be back at work on wednesday. Have a great day
-
Melissa - that sucks!! Do you like night shift? Sounds tough!
Kristie - yay on getting back to the gym! I go most days, it's just a shame I'm not so disciplined with my eating....
Kell - that sounds so cute!!!
I did some more gardening today, I'm loving it. I have so many veges in!! Emma plays nearby. If she has her dummy in I know she isn't eating anything too nasty LOL. She loves it!
-
Cute photo Linda, Will looks like that after a vegemite cruskit LOL
-
Thanks Kell! If only it was vegemite though.....it was dirt....LOL
-
-
aawwww georgous pic linda.
nikki
-
Hi!
Linda - Gorgeous piccie!!!
-
Linda - Very cute piccy of Emma...
Tracey - I realy don't like night shift! I'm really not a creature of the night. I was in there for the first time last night, was there 2 hours and almost blacked out and then threw up. They sent me home and told me I can't come back without a doctor's certificate. I don't really know what happened. Just that I felt really breathless all of a sudden and started to see stars.
Melissa
-
Thanks everyone! :D
Melissa - that really sucks that your boss is doing that. Is there anything you can do at all? What are you going to do in the long term if they won't budge?
We had a good night again. Only up once at 3am. We are having a pretty quiet week here. Nothing too exciting. Oh except my tax, which should be good!
-
Hi!
Melissa - Geez you better take it easy that doesn't sound good. I hope your feeling ok today.
Linda - I did both our tax returns last night.....not going to get back as much as I expected for dh and I have to pay!! (I expected that as I don't pay any throughout the year...) I'm expecting some back from family assist though as I overestimated my income....
Have a good day...
-
hmmm, for some reason i am not getting emails when there are posts in here, must look into that...
Melissa - hope you are ok, do you think it was just the stress of work?
Linda - i sent my etax return yesterday yay! I should get back a good amount (baby bonus) and also i over estimated dh's income so should get some from family tax benefit!
Krsitie - that sucks, having to pay...
well we are off to story time at the library so have a nice day everyone....
-
mmmmm tax time, hate it,its a big job for me cos i have to do the buisness and then mine and grants personal ones, ggrrr, keep putting it off but will try and start this week.
chantelle had another great night, keep pinching myself and just cant beleive the tweedle technique has worked so well.i was freaking out last night.c went down for a nap at 5pm,i went and layed down and told dh to get me when she woke so i could bath, dinner breast feed etc,i woke at 11.30pm and couldnt beleive everyone was in bed,i woke dh and asked what had happened with c,he said he resettled her with dummy and she went back to sleep.i was spewing,i thought that she would surely wake up throughout the night needing to be fed etc and all our hard work would have been undone,so i woke her myself and changed and breastfed her and put her back to bed.she went straight to sleep, woke at 3.30 for dummy and then slept till 5.30.i got her up at that stage cos she had a huge 12 hours sleep.so even without dinner and going to bed sooo early she still slept through so to speak, tis so amazing,i really cannot beleive the huge difference tweedle has made for her.
nikki
-
Nikki - that's fantastic!!! You must be stoked with that! Wow!
Kristie - bummer about the tax! I'm really hoping DH will get a fair bit back, I'll be so disappointed if he doesn't! We should get some extra FTB too.
Kell - stoked your tax is good! :) Have fun at the library!
-
Hi all!
Well, my doctor has sent me for blood tests. I get the results back this afternoon. He's really not sure what is causing all this, but he's doing a blood count and a pregnancy test. He said that the urine pregnancy tests usually don't work if you are close to your actual due time. I'm still feeling crook...I'll wait for the results and I'll get back to you all then. Thanks for your concern you're all wonderfull
Linda - I don't think I'll have my job long out there anyway, not with having a 30 probationary period and not being able to work at full capacity as it is. It sucks, but if it means I'll be home again spending more time with the little guy, so be it..
Melissa
-
Melissa hope that the results come back ok andyou feel better soon.
Niki YEAH on the awesome sleep, it sounds as though Chantelle has improved heaps and maybe back into her old habits of sleeping thru, fingers crossed.
Linda Emma looks so cute, even with dirt all over her face. I cant wait to take Jordan out onto the grass when he is crawling.
Kristie bummer about having to pay TAX, its never good. Hopefully you get some back from family payment.
Kell Hope you had a nice time at the library
Well I am back to work tomorrow and feeling heaps better today. DH has taken himself and Jordan off the the docs. He is still sick with the flu/cold and we want to see about the awful red rash Jordan has under his chin. No matter how dry I keep it is wont clear up. Maybe he needs some antibiotcis like when he had cradle cap? Just enjoying the quiet whilst they are both out. hehehehe
Have a nice day everyone
-
Tracey - I hope they can clear up the rash!
Melissa - good luck with the test! Wow!
Quiet day here, no goss!
-
Nikki - Wow on all C's sleep!! Thats amazing!
Melissa - I hope the bloods come back ok.
Tracey - how good is that getting the saturday hours at better pay! I hope you are feeling better too and jordans rash is it from dribbling do you think or an allergy?
We had our weigh in again today ans tori has put on a whole 100gms which means she weighs 7.6kg now. We have to go back again in a month a weigh again which is annoying but hopefully it will be the last time!
Just a quick one from me I am meant to be packing for our trip to the gold coast tomorrow but I lack all energy today.
If I dont get on here when we are away, I hope you all have a great weekend with lots of sleep!
-
Hi!
Kell - Hope you had a good time at the library. I have been meaning to take Louis but haven't got around to it....
Nikki - So glad to hear that Chantelle's sleeping so much better!
Melissa - Good luck with your test results, I hope everythings all ok.
Tracey - Glad that your starting to feel better. I hope you can fix Jordans rash...
Cindy - Hope to see you tomorrow....I'm so jealous that you're off for a holiday!
So tired...watching oc, dishes and then off to bed for me...
-
Well, we're not pregnant here, but my white cell count is outside the normal range. Probably have to go for more testing. Will be going to the doctors again today. Will tell you more later. I do however feel better...
Melissa
-
Melissa - thats good that you are feeling better, hope the tests go well today *fingers crossed*
Tracey - Hope Jordan feels better soon, there is not much you can do for them when bubs are sick which makes it hard doesnt it? the rash sounds like dribble rash...?
Cindy - have a nice holiday...
Nikki - Yay on Chantelles good sleeping, i hope you are feeling rested :)
Story time was nice at the library except that Will decided that it would be fun to sing thru the story (very loudly i might add) LOL. Not much else going on here, Will is being delightful and giggly and Molly hasnt brought home any bugs from school in two weeks YAY!
-
Hi!
Louis had a 4.30am feed this morning! Haven't done that in ages. Poor little man woke up really crying and after trying a few other things realised he must be hungry. He hasn't woken up like that through the night for so long it took me a minute to work it all out - hehe. I think it's because my sister had him last night and I had made spaghetti for him but she said it was all gluggy and he didn't really want much. Of course she didn't think to mix it with some water....and then because I'd packed such a big dinner I only packed not as much yoghurt, which she'd told me that her and her 7yo loved so I'm not sure how much he actually got!!! Poor little munchkin. He went to sleep in until 8.30am though which was good.
He's really got to have good night sleeps as he's only wanting 1 day sleep at the moment. I thought this is way to young for only 1 day sleep? He's generally having about 12 - 12 1/2 hours overnight and then around a 2 - 2 1/2 hour sleep in the middle of the day.....Does this sound ok?
Melissa - I hope your tests are ok....glad your feeling better though.
Kell - Will sounds gorgeous singing his way through the story! It's nice to just cruise along with no major upsets thats for sure!
-
Kristie - Louis' sleeps sound fine, if he's happy with that. Will has 2 day sleeps but they total about 2.5 to 3 hours, then 12-12.5 hrs overnight so he's sleeping about the same length of time as Louis...
-
Kell - PMSL about the singing during the story - how cute!!
Melissa - hope the tests come back OK & you feel better soon.
Kristie - Emma is starting to go to only 1 sleep a day sometimes too. I'm lucky if I get an hour though! It does seem young to me too, but I guess they are all different...
All's well here. Getting my tax done today, hope it's good!!!!
-
yep finally did my tax,now its all up to the accountant, glad that is out of the way.
nikki
-
you girls are soooo organised! I've spent this morning ignoring my kids and searching for some paperwork for one of our cars. Dh took it to be serviced (when we bought it last yr, it came with 5yrs free servicing) and they are claiming they have no record of it so they want us to pay for it..... Mind U DH packed all the boxes and I can't for the life of me find the box he wants! I have searched everywhere I can think of to no avail.... I'm guessing the tax returns will be going in towards the cut off date again *L*. Oh well, as long as they get done....
-
Hi!
We've had such a busy day! Had to go to myer to buy a computer for my sister, then was 20min late for gymbaroo, raced home and gave Louis lunch and to bed and then as soon as he woke up went to mothers group (an hour late) then finally home. Needless to say after all of that Louis was a very unhappy little munchkin. He didn't want any of his dinner and I put him to bed at 6.30pm so I'm expecting him to wake up at some point for a feed through the night. I'm going to make sure he has two sleeps tomorrow I think.....
Yeah Linda and Nikki for getting your tax done!! It's a nice feeling to get it out of the way.
Kerrie - I hope you find your bit of paper...it's so frustrating when your looking but can't find anything.
I think I'm going to have to teach all afternoon on Thursdays as my teacher is finishing up with me - grrr. The problem is that I don't teach that style so am going to have to just run it and go over their dances until the concert. I'm going to have to put Louis into childcare across the road at around 2pm and then dh will pick him up when he gets home from work. My problem is I won't get home until around 9pm so I'll have to get some formula I suppose. I just don't think I'll be able to express enough (or can be bothered collecting it in dribs and drabs over a week) I'm hoping he will just drink it in his cup as I know he won't have a bottle. Missing one feed like that shouldn't upset my supply should it??? For those of you with kids in daycare does $34 sound right?? thats with the rebate thingy I think. The bugger is I've got to pay for the day as they don't let you pay for a few hours.....
I hope your bubbas are all good!
-
Bummer you can't just pay for a few hours Kristie - have you looked into family day care? They just charge the hours you use.
Woo hoo!!! We are getting over $3000 back!!! And that's not counting our FTB!!! Stoked!!
-
Wow Linda thats great!!!
The only problem we have is that dh has a ute and no car seat so at this child care he can just cross the hwy and pick him up!! Very convenient.
-
Kristie - at least it's convenient. Do they include meals as well?
Emma slept through last night! I can't tell you how good I feel with these great nights. I forgot what it was like to have uninterupted sleep!! (except for at least 1 loo trip  ) She also just had 1hr 15min day sleep! That is so unusual! I think she must be having a growth spurt!
I just did a HPT. For no particular reason LOL. Just saw it in the cupboard & thought 'why not?'. It was a BFN of course.
-
Hi,
I'm just about to go over and check it out so I'm not sure yet. I also want to ask whether if I did have him in for the day I could go over and bf him at lunchtime. Then if I had heaps of work to do I could just get it all done....
I'm so glad Emma's sleeping well for you! It makes you feel so much better. Louis slept through last night again even after having no dinner so not sure what the matter was the other night. He slept from 6.30pm-7am!!! He must have needed it. He also had 1 1/2 hours this morning and I'm sure he'll go down for a pm one. I think he needs to catch up.
Bummer about the bfn....I don't have any tests because I'll just use them all up. I might buy some in a couple of weeks and just do one a month on the off chance. I've only been off the pill for 3 weeks so not worth checking anytime too soon.
-
Just went over and had a look....it's ok. A bit boring I think. It seemed clean enough and the staff seemed friendly so I suppose thats the main thing. Do they usually have t.vs? I couldn't see one in there.....I thought they'd have hi-5 playing or something.....
I guess I don't have much of a choice anyway...I also have to pay each week even if I don't need to put him in. So over christmas when I have 8 weeks off I need to withdraw his application and try my luck the following year which is a bit annoying (hopefully I wouldn't need it next year!)
anyway enough of my ramblings...
-
Wow - I don't think I've been in here for months! When the system changed I guess I got over my addiction... but I'm back now! I've read a bit about how you're all getting on. Scary that we're over 9 month old now - that's as long as we were pregnant for!
To fill you in - I'm working 2 days a week which suits me. When DH is on day shift Dylan goes to inlaws so we haven't had to go the daycare route. He is crawling very fast and just last week started pulling himself up and stamping his feet, so I guess cruising is just around the corner.
Are you ttc Emma or just did the test for fun? We're going to start ttc next April.
No more personals for now - have to go do the dishes  but I promise I'll pop in more often!
