Hi!
Tracey - Jordans new "face" sounds cute! Nup I won't be giving Louis toddler milk. I want to drop his 6.30pm feed next week so I'll just have to keep offering him plain cows milk until he gives in - hehehe!!!
Melissa - It certainly is! We like the thought that you'll get a really nice view as well with 100 acres surrounding us. All the little pockets up there that are 10-15 acres seem to have the houses very close together iykwim? Our dream property will end up with a couple of cows, sheep, horses, some chickens and of course dogs! We also want to put in an orchard and a big veggie garden as well as I'd like to regenerate a large section back to bushland as a lot of the land up there is cleared. Of course dh is into motorbikes and cars so he wants to put in tracks for those. Oh yeah and dams and gardens....See - just as well I won't be working! hehehe. The best thing is there will be no timeline - it will probably take us 20 years! hehehe. If we tried to do all that on 10-15 acres it wouldn't really work - we wouldn't have just any open land it would all be taken up with something! Anyway...I get too excited about it all!
I'm back to work this afternoon! There's so much to do for the concert. If I can just get through this next month it will be all good!
K - better go do the vacuuming - the floor looks disgusting!
-
Kristie, if you give up Louis's night feed will he be fulle weaned? your property dreams sounds wonderful, I hope that you get it all, with a couple of guest rooms for the Oct mums and bubs to visit ofcourse!!!!!!!
Melissa good luck with the swimming lessons, Jordans love going to his
Linda hope that Em is still sleeping well. If everyone else has switched to cows milk maybe I will give the toddler milk a miss. Its one less thing we have to buy.
Nikki how are you doing? hope all is well and Chantelle is sleeping well for you.
Cindy hope you are well? When do you start new job?
Well Jordan crawled halfway down the hallway today (still commando) but he got there. He is soo close. Got his bday invites yesterday so will be sending them out this week. HOW EXCITING
-
Hi!
Tracey - No, Louis will still be having a morning feed. I'll probably keep that for another few weeks or so and then wean him. For sure - we will definitely have a guest house for everyone to visit!!
Yeah on Jordan crawling up the hallway!! Wow!! I'm so bad...I bought heaps of invites and haven't sent any....needless to say my initial invitation list has gone from around 50 down to around 20 - hehehehe. I'm so lazy......
-
Go Jordan Go!
I like that idea too. I want fresh cows milk, freshly laid eggs and veges from my own garden too. Of course you'd have a few sheep and steers that didn't have names, specifically for eating. Once you name them, you can't eat them. Well, I know I wouldn't be able too. It would be great to be that self efficient.
Melissa
-
Hi guys!! Thanks for the congrats with the job.
Tracey - I only endd up telling her coz i decided i didnt want to work and i thought it would have got me out of it! Didnt the back fire!!! The money will be good though so I am happy and would have been either way! Yay on jordans getting down the hall!!
Kristie - thats sounds great about the land. Is is chep to get land down there? You definately have to build a guest house!!
Nikki - how did chantelle go with the job? did it happen this time? did she lye still for them?
Melissa - I'm with you on the farm idea and not naming animals so they can be eaten!
Linda - I am so jealous of you having emma sleep through!! Thats fantastic, congratulations.
Tori had an alright night lastnight, pretty much right through but still realy restless! And she ended up in bed with us coz I couldnt sleep with her tossing and turning all night. I'm sure it will be heaps better once she has her own room and we move out!
-
Hi!
Cindy - No, it's not really cheap anymore. Most of the building blocks in Mansfield are comparable with prices down here! It's really boomed in the last few years, and you're still looking at 250-300 for a house. This particular block we're looking at isn't too badly priced but we haven't seen it all so the back of it could be really steep or rocky...we shall see.
Cindy - I'm sure you'll all sleep so much better when you don't here Tori being so restless!! I can't sleep properly with Louis in our room so I can't imagine how you've done it this whole time!
Oh...hang on - the new bubba is going to be in our room! hehe. We'll see how we go. As soon as Louis is old enough to go in a bed though they'll be sharing. Louis will have to put up with them if they're a bad sleeper! hehehe.
Melissa - and I'm vegetarian!! But, yeah I would heaps rather use an animal that we know what its eaten etc for the rest of the family. I agree - it definitely couldn't be our "pet" ones...
-
cindy, her job is at 3.15 this afternoon.they told me she is the only one going and that she WILL be used....we will see though,i will let you know how it goes when we get back.

me agian,the commercial went well.
it was at a house in brighton,in a babys bedroom, was lovely, she had to lie on the change table in her singlet and nappy and laugh and kick her legs,it only took a few tickles from mummy and she was a star,it took all of 5 minutes, they were really happy with her as she did exactly what they wnted her to do in the first take.they showed me the footage and it was great.dont know when it will be aired but if i hear i will let you know.if you do see it though please let me know cos naturally i want to tape it.
it is a brand power add for a cream that can be used for different purposes including nappy time.that is all i know.
we started cc on chantelle tonight.we got to the 6 minute mark when we put her to bed.fingers crossed it isnt a looong, sad, noisy, heartrenching night, last night was horrible and so we both agreed it was time to do something about it.
nikki
-
Hi!
Nikki - Thats fantastic!!!! Ooh I can't wait to see her on the tv!!
Hmm I'll have to send through some more photos I think!
Good luck with the cc! I hope she sleeps beautifully for you!
-

-
:happybirthday: Little Emma! Today you are one yipee yay!
Big day here too for Benjamin's birthday, I've still got to go shopping for some things today for the BBQ tonight.
Nikki - I'm so happy the shoot went well for Chantelle, you have a TV star in the making.
Kristie - I'm sorry  I didn't realise you were vegetarian.
Melissa

:happybirthday: to Emma and Benjamin!!!
How exciting!!!! I hope you all have great days!
Melissa - Enjoy your bbq! Don't apologise - I'm not a fanatical vegie. I stil cook it and handle it for dh and Louis.
Linda - Have a great day! Yeah on Emma sleeping through again!
Hi Kell & Will!
Nikki - So glad your night went well! Hopefully it keeps getting easier!
What a beautiful day in Melbourne!! We went to the park this morning for a walk and a play so that was nice. Louis is so exhausted though! He's gone to sleep with no lunch he was so tired!
-
Hi, finally have some time to post! DH has been away last night for work so expecting him back any minute. Will is doing great, crawling properly all over the place now, and he has started pulling himself up on furniture. His favourite word atm in bye and he waves with his chubby hand - sooooo cute!
Kristie - wow 100 acres, i would love that too! We have had lovely weather here too :)
Nikki - Yay on the ad, I will keep an eye out for it!
Tracey - we went straight to cows milk too, much cheaper than toddler milk ;) Yay on the crawling!!
Cindy - Congrats on the job!
Linda, Melissa hope the birthday bubs had a great day!!
-
wow,kell,will is 3 days old.hehehe!!!!
nikki
-
hehe i know, i have to update the ticker. he looks good for 3 days old dont you think?
-
PMSL!!! Does that mean Em will be 1 day old tomorrow? LOL
-
I updated our ticker yesterday. the one from ticker central would not read that our bubs are 1 yr old, it just reads that they are old. I think it's a bit silly, so I went onto the lilypie site and updated Benjamin's ticker for his 2nd birthday.
Benjamin had a ball last night. I put the cake in front of him and away he went, chocolate everywhere, got some beautiful piccy's though, will try and get one on here for his ticker. I think these are the best picks for 18th or 21st birthday's, it's amazing how parents keep these things to remind their children of how they once were...Oh damn, I think I've just become my mum in doing that...hahahaha
Melissa
-
Well have finally updated my ticker, but I am going to take a new photo to add to it. I have some really cute ones from his bday but they are too big for lilypie (i tried compressing them but they go all pixelated *eek*). i will have to adjust the settings on the camera to make them lower quality...
-
ok why is it saying 1yr 5 months etc - will have to try again lol
-
-
well done kell.
cc went well again last night.i must say i am really glad i am doing it,she woke at 9 and 10 and took 6 minutes each time and then woke at 3 and went straight to sleep after a drink of water in her cot and dummy, she slept till 6 am,very happy,i know i will start to see some major improvments over the next few nights,it hasnt been as hard as i thought it would be.

Hi!
Louis just had his first swimming lesson! He enjoyed it but was too busy looking at the fishy on the walls and making fish noises. hehehe.
I put Louis to bed at 6.30pm last night and he still slept the same amount of time so I will try and keep doing that.
Just a quick one cos I really need to do some work!
Nikki - glad the cc is going well! sounds like an improvement already!
A big Hi to everyone else!
-
Happy Birthday Emma and Benajamin, sorry I missed them. I have been so busy with work havent had time to log onto net at all last couple days.
Nikki so glad to hear the commercial went well, Chantelle is a star. Good for you and Grant with the cc, sounds as though you are doing a great job. Hopefully this will be the start of some sleeps for you all.
Kristie glad to see Louis liked his swimming. We went again today its so much fun. Tires him out to which is good. He is now taking a liking to drinking the water when we are meant to be blowing bubbles (eww).
Cindy When do you start work?
Kell Yeah on will crawling and pulling himself up. That has happened so quickly it seems, what a clever little guy.
Well I have been so busy with work, housework that i am finally taking time out to myself. Last night I went to a musical at the art centre with a mate, it was great. DH had Jordan for the night so they got to bond, man to man hehehehehe
Hope everyone is having a nice day.
-
bet they both sat and watched the tv all night like typical males HEHEHE!!!!

Hi!
When I got home from work last night Louis was asleep on the couch, he'd only been asleep for about 20min but do you think I could wake him for a b/f?? He was out of it so I put him down and he slept through until 7.40am!!!! Later than he has in ages. (he did wake at 3.45am but thats because he had a poo but he went straight back to sleep) so I think this may be the end of our night feeds!!! I feel a bit sad but now that we missed one I don't see the point in reintroducing it tonight just to drop it again next week iykwim? So we're down to just a morning feed now....I'm going to feel so funny when they're all gone. My poor bbs were so sore by this morning though!! Luckily Louis had a great feed and I just kept putting him back on until the pain was gone.
Louis went in to childcare yesterday afternoon and for the first time there were no tears - he saw the balloons and just started playing! It was so nice to leave and he was really happy. They told dh he was happy the whole time!
Today I've got to do all the shopping for his party tomorrow. I have no idea what I'm doing but I'm sure it will all work out. I think we're only going to have about 25 ish people now so very manageable.
Tracey - Talk about tiring them out - Louis was asleep in the car before we even made it home and slept for 2 hours!
How cute with the bubbles! hehe. We didn't do a whole lot as both of us we're just getting familiar with it all. He had to crawl along a mat to me though and he did so well. All the noises though meant it took him a while to find me but when he did he came down with a smile and lept into my arms - so gorgeous!
A night out sounds great! Glad you had a great time! It is nice to get out! I'm having dinner with some girlfriends in a couple of weeks which will be good. It's funny though, they're all just starting to buy houses so just want to have dinner at home whereas I've been out of home since 18 so I enjoy going out to a restaurant now! I said I'd go to their house as long as I don't have to cook! hehehehe. Needless to say we're making tacos so they've asked me to bring a vegetarian alternative - so I'm cooking...sigh. (aren't I selfish...hehe)
Nikki - Hope you're well. A night on the couch sounds like what my dh does with Louis!! hehehe. Such boys....
A big hi to everyone else!
-
ahhhhhhhh!!!!!!pregnancy hemaroids!!!boohoo......
nikki
-
oh, oww you poor thing Nikki - hope they get better quick! Dont you just love pregnancy lol
-
Oh no Nikki! :( I really do feel for you there.
-
LOL linda,it almost sounded like you would like to feel me there.hahahah!!!
nikki
-
Nikki - Ouch! That's really not a nice thing to have.
Not long now before the next bubs have their birthdays...
Benjamin has been so irritable lately. When we had his 1 year needles last week, we were told that the one needle can cause fever and irritability a week after they have it. It takes that long to react. We did have one that left a nice red welt mark on his arm for a couple of days too. Thankfully, the panadol has come in handy, as well as hugs and kisses.

Hi!
Wow what a weekend. We had Louis' party yesterday which was just gorgeous! We had it at the park and the weather was just perfect. Louis only had 20min sleep in the morning though which I was a bit worried about but I think he knew something was going on and wouldn't go down..cheeky boy! He did really really well though and got heaps of cool pressies! He was so excited he wouldn't really eat and had hardly any water which wasn't good. He fell asleep on the way home and slept for a couple of hours but woke up so miserable. Poor little munchkin. It wouldn't have surprised me if he had a headache...He ate 3 veggie sausages and a vegemite s/which and then had about 200ml of water and then after a bath some milk. I don't know where it all went but I'm glad he had it.
Today we went and got some photos taken at Myer. They look gorgeous! and then we gave him all his b'day pressies today because I want him to be able to play with them tomorrow. I can't believe the toy that he likes the best so far is the $10 blow up pool filled with balls! hehehe. So typical. Our lounge room looks like a toy shop! Dh wasn't impressed with all the toys he has. I think I got a bit carried away and by the time everyone else has bought stuff. We're still waiting on his sandpit from his pa as well. At least that goes outside! hehehe.
I can't believe he's a year old tomorrow! It's just crazy. This time last year I had been induced and was just waiting for it all too happen. The pain didn't really kick in for me until 12.30am when they broke my waters....then after hours of agony my precious boy arrived at 8.30am hehehe. Gosh, and now I'm going to do it all over again! hehehe. How lucky are we all to have healthy little bubbas that are now toddlers!!!!! I swear Louis is the best thing to have happened in my life and I was saying to dh today that I'm so happy with our little family. We may not have a lot but we've got all the important stuff iykwim!!
Sorry for the rant. It's been a bit of a time of reflection for me....I suppose I'm proud that dh and I have got through this first year as well and we have a contented happy little boy now (who sleeps! hehe) Anyway, rant over!
Nikki - Ooh sorry to hear that....
Melissa - Poor Benjamin! Louis is booked in next Monday...I thought I'd wait until after his b'day. He reacted really badly to the 6m ones so I need to be able to spend a day with him to recover if he reacts again. I hope he's starting to feel better!
I hope you all had a great weekend! It's very quiet in here...
-
Hi all - just a quick one. Came home early from camping because at 5:30 pm a huge gale came up so we went mad packing up to come home early! It was a huge drama, but we're home now, still stinky LOL. But we had a great time.
Glad the party went well Kristie - I got really nostalgic too when Emma turned 1 - it really does fly!
-
Happy birthday Louis and Tori for tomorrow. Cant beleive that they are all turning 1, what a crazy time this is.
Kristie glad you had a great party, sounds as though Louis had a great time.
Nikki OUCH........ Hope you are well apart from that.
Melissa hope Benjamin is getting over his needles, they can have strange reactions to them.
Well Jordan had his 1st strass and cheese sandwich on the weekend, what a big boy he is becoming. We had a great weekend. Had my dads 60th last night and Jordan was great, he slept upstairs for most of the night, got up at about 1am, we left at 2am and then he went straight back to sleep so I was rapted.
We had a lazy sunday. I bought him a inflatable train which is also a ballpit, for his bday. Got it from Kmart for $40 reduced from $70 BARGAIN
Sorry I have been MIA lately have had a BUSY weekend.
Keep the birthdays coming.
-
OMG my little boys 1!!!
:happybirthday: Tori!!!!
We're off for his mchn check up this morning and then I've got my u/s in the afternoon so a busy day for us. Then of course I've got to cook my little monster birthday dinner! I think I'll make veggie lasagne because he loves it! I'll like it when he can tell me what he wants so it can be perfect - hehehe.
Linda - Bugger about coming home early from camping. There's nothing worse than bad weather when your camping....especially if you've got to set your tent up again at home to let it dry!
Tracey - Wow on Jordans strass and cheese sanga! I haven't tried putting anything in Louis' s/w yet because of the no teeth factor but maybe I'll try a bit of cheese. He enjoys his vegemite but it would be good to get some other nutrition into him!
-
HAPPY BIRTHDAY LOUIS AND TORI!!!
HAHA Kristie Louis is 'old' too lol. i was the same at Will's bday, all day i was saying 'this time last year..' lol, and it goes so fast!
Hope you all had a nice weekend, DH went to the race (bathurst) yesterday with his borther and of course Will got a tummy bug (Molly had it last week) so he grizzled all day and he's getting two more teeth and just wanted me to carry him all aorund with me, I was going crazy by the time DH got home  he had fun tho. Will is walking along the lounge, sort of he drags his feet a bit but is getting the hang of moving - Tracey it did happen really fast, he just did it one day!
Linda sorry to hear about the camping.
Hope everyone else is well...
-
Hi Kell! Sorry to hear that Will wasn't very happy. It certainly is draining when they're not well. Wow at him walking along the lounge! Thats great.
Tomorrow I'll be putting up a p/g ticker because I keep forgetting how far along I am! hehehe.
-
HAPPY 1ST BIRTHDAY TORI AND LOUIS!!!!!!
i hope both bubbas have an awsome day and that mums and dads enjoy this precious day also.well done on a great party kristie.

chantelle slept through on saturday night,i was amaxed when i woke up sunday morning.she woke several times last night before midnight then slept till 6.30.so all in all it is going very well, she is settling stariaght away when i go to her so that is good that she is no longer expecting those nightly breast feeds.
we had a great weekend full of dinners and parties,dh and the boys went down to brothers caravan at ocean grove for the day yesterday and had a ball.
we have swimming this morning and a preety relaxed day so that is good.
