Babies Born October 2005 #19

Yes Gussyboy (and I) was in hospital for several weeks. He has been refusing to eat for several months now and made himself really sick from malnutrition. He weighed 6.53kg on admission to hospital. This is seriously underweight for a 17 month old! We now have him home from hospital with a nasal gastric tube (which is a feeding tube put through his nose direct into his tummy) and we're hooking him up to a kangaroo pump (feeding machine) each night so he can be continuously fed overnight. Then during the day we offer him solids and three milk feeds (which he usually rejects) and then we push more liquid food (a special formula for kids with serious allergies) into him via the tube at the end of each of these meals. Now we're home we have to go into the hospital every second day for blood and urine tests and every other day to see the paed, the dietician, the speech therapist (for feeding skills), the occupational therapist (for fine motor skills for feeding), the helmet clinic to get his helmet adjusted, the physio, the gastroenterologist, the allergy immunologist... It's been terribly worrying. I'm sorry I haven't been popping in very often. I've been having a really tough time of things lately. It's such a huge worry with Gussy. It looks like we're going to have this nasal gastric tube in for several months while we see whether he can put on weight if he is force fed the "right" amount. Then we have to work on how to get him interested in eating so he can become skilled in the various methods of eating. Aghhhhhh I just want everything to be "normal" whatever that is. This is really not how I imagined life for my gorgeous little boy. Sometimes I think my head will explode with the stress of it all, then at other times I remember how close we came to losing our little man during the pregnancy and the early months after his birth and it helps put it all in perspective. Anyhow enough ranting.

Nikki, I'm so excited to see you so close to giving birth to Harry. What a great name by the way! Must be so much to do. Are you having a c-section?

Melissa, Sorry to hear you three have been unwell. I hope warmer weather comes your way and helps to banish those sniffles.

Nikki, the girls are great. Tantrums and whinging are the usual for their ages. My cyst has been getting bigger and I am getting pgcy symptoms more often from it. However it looks like the end is in sight. I am booked in on the 29ths Jan for a lap to remove it. Yay! I just hope I go back to normal afterwards as we really do want more kids!

Kirsty - Oh dear little Gussy boy, you have definitely put your mummy on high alert from the word go...I hope you start getting to know food again very soon :pray: I can remember doing some work at in a special education school. I can remember one very special person who had to have her meals via a tube too. If that's what makes them grow, then it has to be done. :hugs:

Kerrie - I've had those nasty things too since I was 15. Mine flare up from time to time. Pg with Benjamin had flared them up to a point where one was 7cm and the other was 9cm. There was every potential they could have burst and could have caused all kinds of trouble. I'm just happy they didn't, otherwise Benjamin may not have been around. I haven't had them checked out lately either, which now prompts me to do so after hearing the problems you've been having, because it sounds the same as I'm getting. I've never been offered surgery for the problem though...Good luck with the removal of your cyst!

Nikki - You know what it means when you go into cleaning mode at this late stage in the pregnacy? It's going to be very soon....

Kirsty let me start by saying what a gorgeous little boy Gus is. I love his photos. I am sure he will work the eating thing out soon he looks as though he was enjoying xmas lunch. Dont doubt yourself, you are a fantastic mum and although you have your hands full you and DH look as though you are doing a wonderful job with Gus. The photos at the beach are great. He looks like a very happy young man. Is the walking or just standing?
Kerrie SO nice to hear from you, glad you had a nice xmas. Hope that you can get the cycst sorted soon so bubs #3 can get in the making. Tantrums are definatly happening in our house at the moment. I guess its just a part of growing up.

Well I havecleaned house this morning and it finally looks like a house again (thank goodness) I hate a messy house. I cant wait for new years, we are having some friends over and I have a bottle of CSC (c*** sucking cowboy) for the night so I will be well and truly gone by the 1st drink :)
I am planning to hit the shops this afternoon when Jordan wakes up so I can spend my $50 voucher. I have so many plans for the $50 but I am sure it wont stretch that far.
Oh my friend had a baby on the 21st Dec, Myka Daniel. He is SOOO cute. I cant wait to meet up with her in the new year and meet him. What a great xmas pressie that would have been.

Hope you're all well!! I could probably write 3 pages of rubbish but I'll try and condense it down! hehe.
Christmas day was fantastic! Louis was spoilt and loved his presents but was quickly whisked off for xmas lunch at my sisters. Yep - everything was ok with mum (thanks Tracey) as she received presents from everyone! Anyway.... Louis loved playing with his cousins and we all stuffed our faces well and truly.
Boxing day - off to PIL at Bonnie Doon. Had a great few days up there. Louis had his other 2 cousins up there and they all ran around like crazy - they're 5 and 7yo girls so they just adore him and won't leave him alone! Not that he can run around he loves it because he knows he can run to me if he's had enough iykwim. He's vocab has just gone through a burst again and he knows heaps more words and seems to be growing up too quickly! He's just blowing us all away with some of the stuff he comes out with - Peoples names that he's only heard once or twice, and even doing things - he had a drink coaster in front of him and asked for his drink and had to put it on! Don't ask me where he gets it from!
He's been extremely hyped up with all of the attention and stimulation though so I'm expecting to have a grumpy bum tomorrow! We're home tomorrow packing and then off to Wilsons Prom for a week so it's all been really full on! I'm already looking forward to coming home again iykwim? As much as we'll have an awesome time at the beach as well.
Today ended on a bit of a sour note as dh's brother cracked the sads and whisked the kids away home. He and dh had a bit of a tiff but as dh was over it in 5min but he decided to be a sook about it. (older brother mind you.) He's a funny one and is very reliant on alcohol and drugs to get him through life which is quite sad. The sad part is we were all about to set off to Mansfield Zoo (Sounds impressive but I think it only has a few animals - hehe) so the kids had to miss out - as did Louis and I - as noone felt like going after he stormed off.
Anyway....

Melissa - Sounds like you all had a great Christmas! Hope you all manage to avoid colds!

Tracey - Sounds like you guys had a great time! Glad you got your house cleaned! Did you end up spending your voucher? I hope you have a fun time getting sloshed nye! (I'm jealous actually - hehe) Congrats for your friend - how exciting!

Cindy - Wow at Tori having 2 sleeps on xmas day!! Louis has been averaging a 30min day sleep each day the moment! Except for today and he went down for about 3+ hours! He's soooo tired but coping very well.
How gorgeous is Tori sending her Mummy flowers! Louis bought me a new wallet as my old one was worn out from spending too much money on him - hehehehe.

Kerrie - Sorry to hear you're having troubles. Sounds like the best thing to do is to remove the cysts. Good luck! I hope the New Year brings you the good news of another little bubba on the way!

Kirsty - So sorry to hear you've been having a rough time with little Gussy Boy. I'm so glad you had him home for christmas though. I can't imagine how hard it has been for you! Hoping 2007 sees you spending a lot less time at the dr's and hospital and sees Gussy Boy thriving!

Nikki - Glad you had a great Chrissy! Ooh jewellery is always a winner! Wow - so not long to go! You're so brave! I hope the spring cleaning isn't a sign the it's going to start happening sooner than you'd like! I hope you have an awesome holiday!

Linda - Hope you're keeping well and the p/g symptoms aren't kicking in! Make sure you get plenty of rest!!

Ooh forgot to add that the best news on Christmas for us was that my brother and his gf are p/g!!!!! She's due July 30th so about 3m after me! I'm soooo excited - I even cried! hehehe. I've been nagging for ages and then I felt really bad because I think it's taken them a while but they've just been ttc secretly. She told me that when I announced my p/g she felt a bit upset. I felt so bad!!! She said it was fine though - they both new it would happen when it was meant to! I'm just sooo happy for them and I hope it all goes well. She's 9 weeks at the moment. This is the first person close to me I know thats having a baby so it'll be really cool. Also I know my brother will be a great dad!

I hope you all have a great News Years Eve! I hope 2007 brings you all that you want and more!
I'll be lucky to make it to midnight as we'll be camping (and I won't be drinking - hehehe) but I'm excited to start 2007! My new years resolution is to try and chill out a bit and not let things stress me as much (or mostly not let family stress me as much!!!) and enjoy my time with Louis before Dylan arrives - and then of course enjoy the time with my new little munchkin!

Kirsty, I hope gussy gets better soon and things gets sorted out so he puts on weight nicely. I hope he wakes up one morning and devours everything you offer him. Melissa, it seems mine is causing a whole range of problems. I am not menstruating or ovulating properly because of it. I get terrible pain when I do O for a week or so and I feel like I have m/s and tired and my boobs swell etc. I get all the pgcy symptoms etc. That was day 10 of my cycle that I O'd (according to FF and the onset of the symptoms) and now I am on CD53 with nothing to show except major PMS, evening sickness (which is how my m/s presents), aching boobs, exhaustion and BFN's. No AF no spotting no pgcy, just a cyst that keeps getting bigger and the pill was not helping (stopped taking that on day 28 when I was meant to get AF and didn't. Thought stopping it would bring on AF, but nope). U/S's and BT's are BFN's. It's just the cyst playing hell with me. I'd like to go back to getting the horrible, dreaded AF every month as I always did (except when pg) as at least then I would have a chance of getting pg. As it stands now, my body tries to O, but that cyst buggers everything and it seems to get stuck in "follicular" mode. Dh isn't worried. He seems to think once this one is removed all will be well again. However Dr said that prob won't happen. I need to lose weight for that to happen. But then again, I fell pg with Jess at this weight and it's only since I had that stupid IUD in for six months that I've been getting these problems! GRRR. Counting down the days now... won't be long.

MERRY XMAS EVERYONE!!! Sorry have been slack :) I have been staying with my sis in Newcastle (my nephew's father died a few weeks ago) to help out and keep nephew busy etc, then we were at IL's for xmas (MIL war continues but more on that later grrrr) but the kids had a great xmas, Molly loved it!!! Hope the other bubbas had a wonderful time (sounds like they did :D)!!! Will post more tomorrow hopefully.....

Not much to report around here, i am just getting more and more tired by the day so it seems and i just cant manage to catch up on sleep either. tori is getting better at sleeping though, she has taken to going to sleep with a dummy now and she doesnt fuss or cry at all at bed time now just pops off to sleep which is fantastic!
Look, iu cant even see straight, i am off to bed, i will cech up on everyone tomorrow!

Kerrie - Oh Dear :hugs: I have a catch 22 situation here. I need to lose weight, but the diabetics meds I'm on, puts on weight. I was told long ago, that if I lost weight, that the cysts may disappear all together. You've just got to love Mother Nature...

Well today is the 1 yr anniversary of my grandfathers passing away :( I am so annoyed at my family at the moment as they can be so unthoughtful. They were planning a special mass for him which was nice and I thought it was this evening. I rang mum when I got home from work and she tells me it was this morning and everyone was there and they all went to the cemetary. She didnt think to tell me what time as I work in the mornings WTF!!!!!!! like i couldnt work later to attend something like that. I am so annoyed.
I will be going to cemetary tomorrow now with DH and Jordan on our own. I am thinking of him today and I am sure he can feel it.
On a lighter note, we are all well. Jordan is getting really clever. He is saying DA DA more often now but no real words yet. I guess he is just a slow developer. He is crawling properly now !!! and so fast. He is into everything which is fun. I am going to buy some locks for the cupboards etc I think.
Cindy and Krisite hope you start to feel more energetic soon and you get all the rest you need.

Well did I get a little drunk last night???? YES! the 1st time I could really drink since I got pregnant and I had a ball. We had a nice dinner and then drinks. It was pretty quiet around my area this year but we had a nice time.
Jordan slept thru all the noise so that was great.
Up at 7am which wasnt too bad but think I could get a nap in this afternoon though.

Happy New Year girls. Hope you all had lots of fun celebrating. We had some friends around for a bbq at our place and had a great time. Can't believe it's 2007 already, and it's about 2 years since we fell preggers with the October bubbas.

BTW, thank you all for your lovely comments about Fergus and kind words of encouragment. It really means a lot to me. xx

happy new year everyone,we had a great time in ocean grove,i didnt make it to 12 o clock last night as expected.chantelle had a bad night the night before and i actually gave up my mattress for her and slept on the caravan floor,so i was exhausted last night.we got home today at about lunch time and i have been going full pelt with washing and re packing for qld tomorrow morning.looks like rain for most of the days we are up there though.oh well it is still going to be warm.apart from that i am feeling good and dont feel like harry is going to make his entrance early at this stage.i hope the flight doesnt turn things around for me though.we will be back next saturday so i will come in and let you know how we went.

HAPPY NEW YEAR!! Hope everyone had a great night, we made it to 10pm then went to bed LOL I dont think i have seen in the new year since Molly was born :) DH has gone back to work today so i can finally get near the computer lol The kids had a great xmas, they got way too much stuff as usual but Molly really enjoyed it this year :) My MIL was an absolute b!tch though which made it tense the whole time we were there, we actually came home xmas afternoon instead of boxing day because we couldnt stand it anymore! Will has 11 teeth now, 8 front ones and 3 molars, he didnt have any probs with the molars which surprised me but it was nice!

Well today I got a new haircut. very different to my usual straight hair cut. It is layered and short and I even have a little fringe. I feel really young with my new DO!!!! Very glad I was talked into getting something different.
Well off to work tomorrow, only for 1 day and then off to lakes entrance for 4 days. I cant wait. We are going with BIL and his GF so that should be fun. We are staying in an onsite cabin whilst they camp in the complex. DH and I dont camp we are too scared and enjoy a real bed :) should be a great weekend away though.

Hi!!!

So much for good weather! We're home very early as it was just soooo windy down there! Dh and I just couldn't get a good nights sleep and after 3 nights of it were like zombies - funny enough Louis slept through it all! Our tent poles kept coming out and our fly was unhooking so not much fun was being had!
Louis had a splash in the river one of the days and just loved it giggling away! So cute!
He's learnt to catch a ball now and can say "Love you" and "Sorry" (usually for hitting or throwing something at us!!) He's just surprising us everyday with the new things he learns.
It was so nice to get home though! I think next xmas we'll give the camping a break and get a unit or rent out a house or something. I think with 2 bubbas it would be expecially hard! We'll camp again when they're a bit older. If it's too hard it doesn't really feel like a holiday iykwim?
We're going to do some day trips to the beach and go to the zoo instead!
We're off to the shops this afternoon to buy a potty for Louis! He's been telling us when he's going to do poo's so we thought it would be a good idea to give it a go. We're not toilet training him as such as he doesn't know about wee's yet I don't think but if we can catch some poos I'll be very happy! hehehe. He tells a couple of minutes before it's arriving so I know we'll have plenty of time to get him to the toilet so hopefully it works! hehe. I can't believe he has worked it all out already!

Tracey - Oh no! I can't believe they wouldn't tell you that! You poor thing - I don't blame you for being angry and upset! I hope it all worked out.
WOO HOO - What a clever little man crawling around the place!!! Locks on the cupboards sound like a good idea!

Well jordan is now walking along furniture, so he is pregrossing really well. He is constantly pulling himself up to standing so I cant wait for him to get walking. Hopefully in the next month or two.
Jamie has booked to go to sydney for the day with Jordan as he wants to see some airplane thats there at the moment. Jordan will be going on his 1st plane flight without me :( I am working and really have no interest in the plane he is going to see. Atleast this will be a good test flight for our big trip in march.

Louis is a cutie, and Jordie sure is coming along. Not long now nikki! I am envious of you pg girls. I know I shouldn't be, but heck. It's been almost a yr now since I first told DH I wanted to be pg again. *sigh*.

On a brighter note, my DH's baby sister had her baby girl yesterday! Can't wait for the weekend to come around so I can visit and cuddle! Dh's youngest bro's Fiance is around 20wks Pg too so I am excited for them and living thru them *L* (I started a baby wave I think! I was the first in DH's family to have a bub). My surgery has been pushed back thanks to big hosp stuff ups, so it won't be done till end of Feb. Mind you, I'm hoping DH will relent and let us start TTC soon after that, instead of waiting till Aug. I want a HUGE family hehehe. Dh used to joke about 12 kids, now I'm thinking that mightn't be a bad idea *L*.
My secret NY resolution was to lose weight. So have started walking and trying to eat better. I want no barrier between me and TTC (mind you I fell with Jess at this weight so go figure why Dr said he thinks my weight is the reason for the cyst and my cycle problems/PCOS). I am sick of being fat and sick of hating myself so I WILL lose weight and DH has said if I can maintain my determination and regieme, I might be able to go on lite n easy once the kitchen is done to help me out! So I'm off for my walk. Having to start small as I am so out of condition and fat atm. But baby steps!!!

It's hot here! We had my nephews 10th b'day party at the pools today so it was nice to go for a swim!
For you guys wanting to lose weight I would recommend it - I did the tiniest swim while dh had Louis and I was so puffed and my arms were sore! hehehe. I told dh I'd like to go a bit more often now, especially being p/g it's nice to feel weightless but still have a good workout iykwim? I'm determined to get down to 54kg after I have Dylan. Thats my goal for the end of the year so I'll have about 6 months after I start my gym membership again. When I fell p/g with Dylan I was around 59kg so probably at least a good 5kg+ of lard I need to lose! I feel really feral at the moment - I know I'm p/g but I'm still carrying extra fat that I don't really need.

Kerrie - I hope you're op goes well and you can start ttc soon after! I think dh is ok with having 3 but I'll have to really push for 4 bubbas I reckon. How exciting to have a little bubba to cuddle on the weekend! Congrats to your dh's sister!

Melissa - I agree - Louis has so much energy I feel like I'm going to need to be fitter and have better stamina to keep up!! Especially as he gets bigger and wants to do more. He doesn't want to walk anymore either he runs everywhere so I'll need to sort myself out! It will certainly be interesting having 2 boys to run after in another 12+ months!! hehe.

We've just put Louis down again as he hasn't had much sleep but I think I have no hope now that it's so late....just going to have a grumpy bear for the arvo I think - He'll have to have an early night. He slept in until 9am this morning though! I still think he's just trying to catch up....

I just got a few bargains up at our local dump shop. I just got one of those get in push with your feet cars with the roof and the little door opens for $5 and then I got this little metal push mower and the wheels click like you're mowing for real for $2. All they need is a wipe down and mummy's art work added to make them look new. I'm so happy with my bargains! :lol:

Kristie - Benjamin runs everywhere, and wants to climb and explore too. I'm constantly searching for him or chasing after him. So exhausting! You have a reason to be exhausted though.

We sold dh's ute today!! woohoo!!! We even got about 1500 more for it than we were going to except!!! That means we can pay off my car and a card so I'm soooo happy! It will take heaps of pressure off!! Probably save us like $100 a week!
It's so super hot here today. I felt horrible putting Louis in the car to go shopping but it had to be done.
Off to get the little man organised for bed. Dh and I are watching a dvd tonight to have some chillout time. After the sale of the ute today though I think we may head out to the movies for a night out soon!

holiday was great,we had some rain but still got to dream world and australia zoo,chantelle had a ball but corey was a feral little **** nearly the whole time we were there,he feels bad for his naughty behaivior and has been an angel since we got home.but i am still not impressed with him.....
i had no probs on the flights at all and am still prg.my tummy is low now.i cant beleive i will have harry in 12 sleeps time.when we got home i cleaned all of chantelles room,tomorrow i will do some more organising and spring claening around the house.i am nesting like crazy at the moment.i dont think harry will come early at all.
sure is hot here.i am really looking forward to a nice shower and my own bed tonight.
kerry and melissa.i have complete faith in you both on the weight loss.i bet it would be as hard as giving up smoking but if you want it bad enough you WILL do it,good luck to you both.

staying in a unit or cabin is great,we always do it.
as for moving to qld,we wont be doing it now,dh is just not keen,it didnt feel right to him while we were there and the houses were more expensive by about $100,000 for what we wont.i was feeling rather disappointed but dh has agreed to look for aN established home in the next week and if he cant find the house of his dreams we will begin building straight away.i am ok with that,i just needed him to finally make a decision and stick to it.
well we will have to catch up after harry is born,i an sure you girls will be hanging to meet harry soon after he is born so if you wont to come to my house and dote over him and wait on me(having a c.section)you are very welcome to come within a week of me getting home.so between you all you can choose a date from the 22nd onwards.the sooner the better i say.just as long as you dont mind the long drive cindy and kristie!it is only 15 minutes down the road for you tracey.

Louis just did his first wee on the potty!!!! Woohoo! It was bath time and we took his nappy off and sat him on there because he had said poos which he didn't do but he did wees instead!!! Hehehehe!

Anyway, just had to share! hehehe. Hopefully we'll catch a poo soon!

Kristie- I cant believe that louis used the potty! Thats fantastic, I plan to get ours out for tori this week and give her a go! Congrats on selling the car too!

nikki - you cow saying you had a baby already!! I am so going to have to hit you for that one when i see you! I am glad for my own reasons that you arent moving up north but understand your disappointment too.
Like i have said before, i am happy to come over and help out whenever needed, i dont mind driving at all! I am hanging to get to hold such a little baby again! I got to play with one yesturday at a party i went to and she was 12 weeks old but so tiny. I just cant get it in my head i am going to have one even smaller than that to play with soon. Tori was really good with the bub too and was playing with her hair so gently. I hope she is like that when ours comes to play and doesnt leave!

Crap, sorry just realised the time and i am meant to be picking my brother up from the station in 10 mins so better be going!

omg kritie,louise is such an amazing little guy,chantelle is no where near ready,i gave her nuddy time tonight and she weed and pooed on the floor.the boys were horrified.

I'm sure was just a fluke that it happened there and then!! The other day before we got the potty I let him have a nudey time and he managed to do 3 on the floorboards!! He freaked himself out though and started crying when it was on his feet poor little munchkin!
We made a big fuss of him doing it tonight though so hopefully he'll want to do it again. Of course I'm not worried - he is only so little!! He'll probably do it a few times and then not be ready for toilet training until he's 4!!! hehehehe.

Cindy - Good to hear from you!!! Tori sounds sweet with the little bubba! You must be getting excited about moving soon!

Well ladies i am back home and we had a great time in lakes entrance. The weather was superb and it was nice to get away for a while.
The only downside was that the cabin we had was made up on 1 room and a tiny area with 3 bunks, the walkway was only wide enough for the pram. This meant we had to set the porta cot up in the kitchen so Jordan didnt want to sleep at all. We ended up putting him to sleep in his pram in the other room until we all went to bed and then transfered him to the porta cot.
He did so well with everything we did, sometimes missing naps etc. He loved the beach and the pool.
He is now walking all over the furniture and gets annoyed when he cant go any further. I really think walking isnt too far away for us now. He also gets frustrated when he cant get down. I am trying to teach him to fall on his butt which is working now and then.

Nikki I got so excited and then read you were only joking. Glad to hear that you had a good time, apart from Corey being naughty. I am fine with any tuesday or thursday to come over and let me know if you need any help with shopping etc as I am more than happy to help out if you need it. Cant beleive Harry is nearly here. I am happy for my own reasons that you are staying in Melb but sorry that things fell thru.

Another successful potty tonight! hehe. Another wee at bath time. I'm sure it's just the running water making him go. We haven't been able to catch a poo yet but we will keep trying! hehe.
I feel like a bad mum because yet again I thought I better check his toothie pegs and his 4th top one is well and truly through and we didn't even notice! So thats 6 now! We're getting there slowly but surely.
Had a checkup this morning and everything is going well with Dylan. He's already head down which is good - I'm getting lots of kicks up near my ribs. Next visit is the diabetes test - yuk!

Tracey - So glad you had a great time! That must have been a bit awkward with the sleeping but I'm glad you managed! Wow at Jordan walking so much - It won't be long!! Sorry to hear that he's sick - hope he gets better soon. Yeah on more teeth!

Krisite YEAH on the sucessfull potty again. He is so clever. You are far from being a bad mum for not noticing teeth. If thats the worst thing you do you are doing an awesome job :) Glad to see that all is wellwith Dylan, cant beleive he is head down already.

Well today we had a litle accident, we got our fingers shut in the kitchen drawer and it took skin of Jordans little finger. I felt so awful but he quickly got over it. He is getting a lot better at entertaining himself also. we have been leaving him on his own to play in his room instead of him relying on us for entertainment. It also gets him away from the tele :)
Does anyone else do this with bubbas? leaving them to occupy themselves?

I am a little concerned about his developement in regards to talking at the moment. Jordan only says DAD. He can point to objects if we ask him to like pictures in a book or his toys but he seems to be a little slow in the talking dept. Should I be worried? Is there something I should be doing to encourage more talking?

Just a quick one from me! Dh has borrowed a nintento wii from his brother and we've been playing. It's such an awesome game! I'm not normally into computer games but you actually have to move to use it. My brother and his gf came over and we played 10 pin bowling and golf. So you actually hold the remote and throw like your really bowling. I'm surprised I haven't gone into labour! hehe. I'm so sore though! (I know thats really sad!)
Anyway....Louis did his wees again tonight and was so excited I had to go in there (he was about to have a bath with dh) and he pointed at it and said wees! hehe.
Today was the first day ever he's gone the whole day without a sleep!!! LIttle terror wouldn't have one! Needless to say he was very tired by dinnertime! He did pretty well though and we even had a play this afternoon outside with the fingerpaints, in the sandpit and little pool thing!

Tracey - Sorry to hear about Jordans little fingers. Louis is always hurting himself now. He comes over and says "ow" and holds out his hands or feet for us to kiss better - so funny! Yep, I try and let Louis occupy himself a lot of the time. He just goes in his room and plays with his blocks or sometimes when he's quiet I peek around the corner and he's just reading his books! It's nice time when they occupy themselves! It lets us get stuff done too. Dh and I were in the bedroom sorting out some bills and stuff and we had Louis sitting on the couch watching new mcdonalds farm (he was very tired and cranky by that stage so its the only thing we can do!) and he would have been there for 30min I reckon just chilling out. He's usually happy doing his own thing as long as he knows where we are and obviously isn't tired or hungry.
I think he'd be fine in the talking department. Otherwise go visit your mchn maybe?? I've heard from lots of people that boys may talk a little later. I don't know about encouraging talking - the only thing I do is not shut up (as you all know!! hehe) Wherever we are I just chat with him about whats happening or what we're doing. Oh and read those little books with everyday items in them. But otherwise they'll basically do it when they're ready anyway I think!

Nikki - Hehe - thats ok!! I was just thinking you may have had the baby or something!!! hehehe. Glad to hear your going well - thinking of you in the hot weather the next couple of days!

OK - really must go to bed. We're heading off to the beach tomorrow for a swim so that should be nice!

Tracey - Dear little Jordan, you're not meant to be in mummy's cupboards or drawers. you'll end up getting hurt. I think we forget how quickly you all learn sometimes, and you do things that we already know not to do. I hope your fingers get better soon.

Kristie - I was told you have to have a big clear space for the Nintendo Wii, only because they cause breakages and injury. It's amazing how all these games are becoming so interactive.

Nikki - Time is getting really close for you now, not unless you've already greeted a special person into the world and you've been to busy to get back on here to tell us all the good news???
