Hi
Well we have started solids...sort of :) The nurse suggested we try some rice cereal as Will had started waking at around 3 for food - v. tiring! so we tried some farex on monday which he wasn't too keen on. He rolled it around his mouth b4 spitting it out and heaving. The next night we tried apple and farex, which he seemed more interested in but still heaved. Today he actually ate a whole teaspoon of apple, he spat little bits out but he didnt heave which was good. Hopefully once he gets the hang of swallowing he will start sleeping thru again. His cold is almost gone, thankfully and otherwise is doing well.
Cindy - thats great you have some work lined up for the move, it makes it hard when you lose those extra dollars.
Tracey - congrats on the anniversary. Re the night feed, Jordan will stop when he's ready, as tiring as it is for you :) Will has been waking again at around 3 or 4, and as much as i try to get him back to sleep he just wants food.
-
Cindy - wow on recognising the dr!!! Thats pretty amazing!
Kell - Emma doesnt like plain rice cereal too much either, but loves pumkin.
Nikki - Emma goes pretty well on the long trips, but I generally sit in the back seat with her & play with her & talk to her while she's awake, that really helps.
Emma has a clinic visit tomorrow so we get to see how much weight she's put on \:D/

Hi!
It's a beautiful day in Melbourne today! I better get some washing done. Louis has been in creche twice this week while I do a workout at the gym. So far so good although he has already wrapped the lady around his little finger and I find that she's holding him most of the time because he gets grizzly - hehe. He so knows how to play people!
Linda - Wow on the big drives. We're heading down to Port Fairy in a couple of weeks and thats about a 4 hour drive I think. I suppose we'll just have to take out time and have a few breaks.
Louis has also only rolled from back to front!
Louis loves pumpkin! and he sweet potato and broccoli hehe. I'm going to give him some carrot this week as well. I went to buy zucchini but it looked horrible.
Cindy - Glad Tori was ok with her immunisations. Maybe you'll have to try a new dr - hehe.
I would go crazy feeding every 45min - especially that time of night. I hope the solids help! I know Louis can easily go 4 hours between feeds when he has solids and milk but now only about 3 hours with just milk so it's obviously just not enough for him.
Kell - Yeah on the solids! I'm sure he will get the hang of it soon. Louis is still waking all the time in the night although last night I only fed him one side at 11.30pm and then 1 side at around 5am so hopefully if I give him a proper feed tonight he will sleep through. I won't hold my breath though.
Tracey - Sorry I missed your post the other night! Happy Anniversary. Sounds like Jordan and Louis like their food a little too much! hehe. I'll be happy when he eventually sleeps though!!
Have a nice day!
-
Mitch, that is fantastic about Jess using the loo, you must have both been pretty excited! Hope Arron is on the mend, you poor thing!
Mel, hope you have a good time in Brissy today. I'm so over the rain too, makes it hard to get out & about, although I was loving the cooler weather we had over the weekend!
Kellee, well done with your uni result, that is fantastic, especially considering all you were dealing with at the time! Woohoo for the new fridge, I would be excited too! I got a slow cooker this week and you should see how thrilled I am about that little purchase...I am convinced it's going to change my life... how sad is that?
Mooshie, I hope Lani is getting better, poor little thing, and that you are having a better week!
Well, Kaleb has had a rotten cold the last few days. Started Thursday night, he was waking up every hour and I was getting really peeved, until halfway through the night when I could hear him snuffling, then I felt awful. He hasn't had a cold since he was 6 mths, so we've been very lucky. Only thing is, he runs a mile every time he sees me with a tissue in my hand! DH and I have copped a mild version of it, except it's impossible for any illness to be mild with DH, he bought up the entire pharmacy, and I can't take a damn thing for it!

Hi Everyone
Thanks for the anniversary wishes, we had a good night.
Nicole - 29th March sounds good. I will let my friends know and I am all for going on outings as well as meet ups at our houses. A little variety will be nice.
Its great Chantelle is getting the hang of rolling. She is such a cutie
Krisvee - I think Jordan and Louis do love their food too much. As long as he sticks to 1 wake up a night I can handle that. Last night was 4.45am which wasnt too bad.
Kell - good luck with starting solids, we tried it a week ago and it made Jordan miserable. we havent tried again. I think I will wait till he is a little older.
I went to visit my friend who had a baby on the weekend. She was 35weeks, so 5 weeks prem and she is 5 pounds, she is in 00000's. She was the tiniest baby I have ever seen. I was so pleased that she was doing well though. Jordan just looked like a budda next to her
Hope you have a nice night.
House is on tonight...love that show and the last episode of Australias next top model.

Hi everyone,
Sorry it has been a little while since I last posted.
Aidan had gastro over the weekend. During the night on Sat I woke up to him coughing a little but he went straight back to sleep. I had a lovely surprise of vomit in his cot when he woke up on Sunday morning. He then pooed atleast 10times on Sunday. Lucky DH was around to help me change nappy after nappy. He didnt eat much at all and finally started eating and being 'himself' again Tuesday morning. My poor little chicken...
Have taken on 2 more permanant shifts at work so that is also keeping me busy. Getting cluckier and cluckier for #2 everyday! The first girl in mothers group has become pregnant with #2 and I was so happy for her but had a twinge of jealousy which was very strange! I cant wait to see her pg!
Jo, hope Kaleb has gotten through his cold. Isn't it annoying being sick when pg but not being able to do anything about it!
mel, hope you had a great time at the shops, nappyfree!
mitch, hope Arron is feeling better.
Kellee, congrats on the uni mark, you should be so proud of yourself for doing so much, superwoman!
Michelle, thinking of you always. Also hope Lani is feeling a little better. By the way you are an awesome Mum and dont ever let me hear you say otherwise again!
Almost time for Prison Break...!

Well we've finally moved, so glad to be back 'home'!
We had to stay at a hotel on Monday night and when we asked for a cot they brought in this really old wodden thing that looked 20-30 years old. No way was i putting her in that. So i made the choice for her to sleep on the other bed that was there. She has a sleep wrap(the one that goes around the mattress and also baby) and she had her nap there and also slept there all night! I hope this is a good thing for when i move her perminatly into a bed before #2 arrives. Would moving her into a bed at about 18-19mths be too soon or would it be fine since she was fine the other night?
Lily still has cradle cap from since she was born and it's getting worse. When i peel it off her hair comes with it. So went to the chemist and they gave me 'Egozite' I'm not sure whether i should use it or not because its a type of acid and the directions say to put it on twice daily and not to wash it off for 3-5 days! What do you all think?
I bought some really cute sandles and some little boots for Lily today and she is walking well in them. She is beginning to get a bit faster at walking, so no doubt it won't be long until she is running!
Jo - I hope Kaleb gets better soon, poor thing. Wow you are 25 weeks now, that has gone fast!
Michelle - Wow at Jess not being 10kgs yet! Lily is only 10.5kgs at 15 months but is about 84cms tall!
-
Tegan- grea news on you being moved, better change your location inthe side bar! Yuck at that cot. About the bed, Jemma went into her bed bf she was 2, and we put the safety rail on, the only prob was that then she could get out of bed and we had to keep putting her back all the time, which was really painful. LOL at Lily being a little bigger than Jess, I just keep watching these babies overtake her , I guess she def got the short genes.LOL
dd- thanks for popping in, I am glad to see you are stalking me and that means it's ok for me to stalk you LOL. Arron said your work had rang. He has been in bed since sunday, today was the first day he actually didn't send the entire day in bed. He is doing pest control course and has an essay to write by tomorrow and of course just started today (he has known about it for 5 wks) So he is still studying the same as he did in high school LOL He has so far worked for about 8 hrs and is stuffed LOL It would be nice if the toilet wasn't a one off, I am not pushing her, Jemma was really interested at about 19mths and day trained herself over the next 3 mths, I am not in a hurry cos no babies coming after LOL Friends of the family have just announced they are 12 wks pg with their 5th child, an accident or should I say surprise. Not happeniong in this house though. Hope you are going well, will check up on you soon LOL
Jo- hope Kaleb is better soon. I lol at the slow cooker, I brought one last yr and was really excited, used it twice and now its in the cupboard. I must pull it ot in winter, want to get my moneys worth.
Jess- yay at the extra shifts, how is Aidan going in the childcare? Yuck at the gastro, Jess had gastro last yr for 5 days she ate nothing and lost heaps of weight too, so glad it was pver quickly.
Hello to everybody else
Car is fixed $1300 later, felt sick writing the cheque.....!!!! But it is running well thank goodness. If it stuffs up in the next few weeks Ican tell you I won't be paying for them to fix it up. Kinder for Jem tomorrow and I am expecting a call from the TLC lady so I can set the wheels in motion to become a consultant. I am very excited, although not quite sure where I will get the time atm.
Cheers michelle

Kell - We've been given the green light on the solids too. We were told monday at the Children's Health clinic to give Benjamin one feed a day of Banana and rice cereal and the rest b/f's for one week then the next week do 2 solid feeds a day, then the following week three solid feeds a day. It get's his stomach conditioned for the whole eating thing. We were told not to try all different things at once, just in case Benjamin ends up allergic to something. It's easier to pin point the allergy that way. I was also told that they reccommend to keep doing the solid feeds and b/f up until 12 months.
Cindy - We have 2 different doctors. A lovely female doc that Benjamin sees and I see for the womanly stuff and I have a male doc, who I see for other stuff. Benjamin doesn't like the male doc and does the same thing Tori does, so we end up seeing my female doc more so now.
Has anyone else noticed that their bubs are a good pick for character? Benjamin can already pick up instantly if a person isn't nice or something isn't right about a person.

Hi all
Grace is sound asleep after her swimming lesson and Harry is parked in front of the tv lol so here I am.
Tegan - glad the move went well, Lily is a clever girl for sleeping in the big bed, there's no way Grace would do that! She would just muck around. Not sure about the cradle cap stuff, but if the pharmacist said its ok for kids...
Michelle - geez I would hate forking out that much to fix our car too. We got a service and a radiator flush last week for our car and it cost $500! But it is running smoother now. What is TLC? Sorry if I missed a previous post...
Jess - I think its normal for us to get clucky once our babies reach a certain age, especially if mothers around us are getting pg too! I go from being really clucky and just wanting to be pg one minute to not caring at all! I think it must coincide with when the kids are being angels or monsters! Poor Aidan with his gastro, I know how awful it can be - Harry had it when he was the same age and was vomiting and pooing constantly for 3 days and even with his nappy on it was still leaking out. He also vomited in the car which was not nice! Glad he is all better.
Hi to everyone else, gotta go Harry wants food
Bon
-
Hi Jess, good to hear from you, glad to hear work is going good and keeping you busy! Poor Aidan, sounds like he had a rotten time of it, poor little dude!
Hey Tegan, hooray for the move back home, and good girl Lily for sleeping in a bed! I was having the same debate about trying to put Kaleb in a bed before #2 gets here, but there is no way he would stay in it, and I don't want to lose any more sleep that I have to at that time! Not sure about the cradle cap stuff, haven't heard of it, but it would be hard to not wash it off for days.
Bummer about the car Mitch, I always resent spending money on them, it's such a pain to the finances! I am an ignorant one who doesn't know what TLC is either, you'll have to fill us in.
I think Kaleb's on the mend, sleeping really well again now, but just the runny nose which we have a huge fight over every time I wipe it!
-
Hello ladies, sorry to butt into your group but I thought you ladies will be able to answer my questions best ;)
My bub is due this October & I have no idea what sort of clothing to buy  Can anyone fill me in on the climate etc? We are in Western Sydney so it gets hot, but I have no idea what I would be looking at for the beginning of October.
My DD was born in Feb so she was easy! Nappy & singlet
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
THANKS :flower:
-
Skyela - I live on the gold coast so it was pretty warm when Victoria was due but i have to say i still needed a few wondersuits. She was dressed in them mostly at night and during the day sleeveless jumpsuits or singlets and long pants when little cooler and just teh classic singlet and nappy.
I cant believe that our bubs are 5 months already!! My gosh it goes way to fast! Before you know it it will be graduation!!
Gotta go, she calls again!
-
Skye, it was quite warm when Emma was born, so lots of singlet suits. But it did get cold & I found it very hard to get 0000 long suits. So I would definately buy a few warm outfits now as they wont be in the shops in October!
-
Thank you so much! I thought it would be warm but cooler in the evening. I bought a long romper today, will have to keep my eye out for some more.
Thanks again :flower:
-
Today my mum bought Lily some crayons and a book to draw in. Lily had a ball. I now have her first picture and i'm going to make a scrapbook layout out of it as i took some piccys of her doing it. Also bought some paint and might try that tomorrow!
Jo - Glad Kaleb is getting better.
-
Sorry girls TLC is Topline Creations, a scrapbooking company. I am joining as a consultant and am very excited.
Tegan sorry forgot to respond to the cradle cap thing. I used to massage sorbolene into the scalp, it would sort of mat the hair together and I would leave it till the next bath (usaually overnight), then I would wash it out and gently brush with a soft baby brush and it would sort of flake out. If the chemist suggested something I'm sure it is ok, it's up to you though, as long as it works it doesn't matter I guess.
JO- runny noses are awful aren't they? I don't think many kids like having their nose wiped really.
Bon- good to see you and good to hear the kids are going well. Swimming really tuckers kids out doesn't it. My ids are all so tired atm, and we have school hols starting, so I am hoiping they will catch up on sleep in the next 2 weeks.
Had another busy day, cleaned, washed clothes while Jemma was at kinder, then picked her up and went to the school to see the kids in commonwealth games day. Then up to mum's so the kids could play with my niece. Then we took her home with us, picked up Jordan, brought icypoles and ate them in the park, dropped MIL at the train, picked up Josh from his sport program and came home. It is Arron's school night so he has just walked in. He is still feeeling pretty **** and is home early.
Better go
have a good day tomorrow

skye,i also agree with the other girls, definantly warmer jupsuits to begin with some in 0000 and 000.i found the first few weeks she was always in warmer things but as she got into 000 she needed a selection of both warmer and cooler clothes .one thing i have learnt is that in summer you also need warm clothes cos as the sun goes down it does get cooler and they recommend that babies in the frst few weeks need to have twice as many layers as you do when it is cool.so to answer your question stock up on some warm jump suits and a few summer outfits..
well poor little chantelle has got a very nasty cold and is soo miserable,i feel sooo sorry for her,her eyes are so watery and her nose is sooo clogged and runny, she can hardly breath,i got a vaporiser for her today but didnt get the menthol stuff to put in it so i have mixed some vicks and water and put that in it,i have just put it on for her now that she has gone to bed so i hope it helps her get some much needed sleep.
went and had my nails done today.we have been invited to go to the beach(ocean grove) for the weekend,we will go sat and sunday,it is going to be mid to high 30s here over the weekend so it is good timing and will be great to get away from the everyday.the boys will love it.the caravan is 1 minute walk to the beach and also has aircon so atleast i can escape the heat with chantelle if she is finding it all too much.
she gave us the most fantastic laughs yesterday i got it on video,it was absolutly hilarious, daddy was playing with her and she was cacking herself like i have never seen before, very very funny.well i cant beleive it is school hols again after tomorrow, god help me..........
well im off now going to finally have my dinner and give dh a massage he has a sore back.
nikki
-
Aaww, I hope Chantell gets over her cold quickly Nikki. Have a great weekend!
We had Emma's clinic visit today. She now weighs 5.8kg. All is well & the nurse said she seems to be doing well on the solids & that it was right to start her on them as I had read the right signs & she is thriving on them.
Off to Sydney tomorrow afternoon....I cant wait for next week for things to get back to normal!!!
-
Linda - It can be tiring travelling with little ones. can't it? Even when they are good travellers it is so much more involved than when it was just you and DH :) Hope you have fun in Sydney.
Nikki - Sorry to hear about the cold, Will has just had one too. Thankfully it only lasted 2 days. We were using saline in a syringe to squirt up his nose, he hated it but it would clear it up enough for a little bit of sleep, let me know how the vaporiser goes.
Melissa - We were told the same thing with solids re the number of meals and timing etc. Benjamin and Will are pretty close is size too, aren't they? I have noticed that babies have a pretty good sense of character, and also they can tell when someone feels uncomfortable or awkward with them and don't like it. My younger sister was always really uncomfortable holding Molly, and Molly would sense it and cry, which made sis more uncomfortable :) Sis is preg now so she is feeling more comfy with bubs :) I suppose that since bubs can't communicate as such they have to rely on instinct....
Hope everyone has a good weekend, quiet one at home for us....
-
Ooh that sounds exciting Michelle! I would like to have a go at scrapbooking but I never seem to get around to it, plus I don't have a space to do it where the kids won't get into it!
Tegan - let us know how you go with the paints, I bet that will make a perfect photo opportunity! I still have Harry's first drawing that he did with crayons - I buy him scrapbooks and keep them all when he is finished.
Sorry girls I forgot some of you in my last post:
Jo - sorry in my last post I forgot to say I hope Kaleb gets better soon, but it sounds like he is now! It sucks when our kids get sick - I hope you are feeling ok too, especially not being able to take any drugs!
Kellee - Congrats on the uni result, a 5 is a great result considering everything you had on your plate! I love whitegoods - I was so excited when we bought a dishwasher last year!
Michelle - I hope this week has been better than the last, poor Lani I hope she is feeling better soon - don't feel bad about it, we mums may be many things but we are not mind readers!
Mel - glad things are going well with you!
Ok gotta go I have a cake in the oven - mmmmmm I love the smell of baking!
Bon
-
Mitch – Wow at Jess doing a wee on the toilet! That’s so exciting! Sounds like she’s developing very well. I don’t think my little man is quite ready for that yet. I should really have him with his nappy off more often in preparation for tt but I can’t quite cope with the possibility that he might wee on the couch! YUCK about the car! That’s nasty.
Mel – hope you had a nice time down here in Brisvegas. Love the new pic by the way! I just noticed it – very cute!
Jo – sorry to hear about that bloody illness running through the family. I haven’t caught much this pregnancy (touch wood!) but last time I was pregnant I had the flu a couple of times. IKWYM about not being able to take anything for it, but if you get stuck into garlic oil capsules (they have to be the oil ones I’m afraid, which taste horrible) they knock any viruses or bacterias on the head and help you get better quickly. Hope you’re feeling better soon.
Jessica – poor little Aidan! I’m glad it was over with relatively quickly, and that DH was home to help. That makes it a bit easier. Don’t worry about being jealous – it will happen soon enough! Sending lots of babydust your way.
Hey Tegan. Excuse my ignorance but I can’t remember if I’ve congratulated you or not! Congratulations anyway! RE: cradle cap – that stuff works wonders, even though it’s a bit messy. Also, excellent about the bed thing – I know that my brother was in a bed at THIRTEEN months (!) so I guess that every child is different. All you can do is try, huh? If it doesn’t work then try again a few weeks later. Good luck – we’ll be going through the same thing with Charlie soon.
Sorry I didn’t quite finish doing all the personals – Charlie has just woken up so I’d better go. Will have more time for BB in the next week or two, as DH is just about to start a part time job at night and on the weekends (only temporary, thank goodness!), so I will catch up with all the people I missed tonight. Hope you’re all having a lovely day.
-
Hi Ladies
Yeah its the weekend. I am so pleased, I have work monday even though it's a public holiday here which is not great, but the money will be nice.
I cant beleive some of the bubs are already 5 months, as Jordan ws born last I find it's hard to get my head around the fact that some of your bubs are 4 weeks older than he is.
Nicole- hope you have a great time away and fun on the school holidays. I cant believe they are here so quickly as well. Great for the peak hour traffic though :)
Linda- Emma sounds like a little bundle.....5.8 kilos. Jordan would be close to 10 kilo now. We get weighed on wednesday so that will be interesting. She is so gorgeous I love all the photos on her website.
Hope you all have a nice weekend.
Sorry for those I have missed
-
just a quick post as i have a headache
eliana started walking tonight \:D/ she was doing laps around the lounge room & was so proud of herself & performed perfectly for my videoing!!!! i kind of feel honoured to be the only one to see all her first steps ;) guess she was moving around after spending time in her pram when i went to the movies today - she slept through it all!
will post more in the next few days
enjoy your weekend
-
Mitch – how the hell are you going to fit in the TLC stuff? LOL You’re so busy as it is! Sounds great though.
Bon – oooh, cake! Now, I’m hungry. Thanks a lot! Can you send me a cyber piece?
Mel – YAY ELIANA! That’s so cute. It’s so exciting when that happens! What movie did you see? It’s great that she slept through it – Charlie would never have a bar of that!
Went to a friend’s place for dinner tonight – it was lovely. Charlie managed to make a big mess, and he had as much dinner (homemade pizza – base and everything!) as we did! He must be a growing boy. He was quite happy to sit and watch his Spot DVD while I talked too. He doesn’t watch too much TV so he’s always very interested when I put it on.
Anyway, hope you’re all well. Have a lovely Saturday.
-
Yay to Eliana for walking! What a clever girl.
Since moving back to my mums where there is carpet Lily has been walking heaps. Sh'll be running in no time. Oh, the fun begins! She's also started to climb onto everything in sight especially tables! I have no idea what to buy so she can climb on that instead of the furniture.
-
Kellee- yay for more bb time but glad it's not permanent extra work. TIme.....I guess I will make it, I make time for ebay stuff now so I will just work faster I guess.LOL
Tegan- Climbers are very stressful as I can sympathise. Not sure about what to give her to climb on, Jess is now getting on the stools and sitting up at the bench, and on the bench and on the dinging table and pool table too. LOL
Mel- Yay for Eliana- what a clever girl, and lucky you to catch it all on video.
I think I have missed someone....
Well Arron now has pneumonia, not such good news for us. He is on more meds. I am feeling a sore throat come on, praying it doesn't stay. We have our friends wedding tonight, then we will be having her 9 and 7 yr olds Sunday and Monday night- (they are going to QLD) and then I will be taking them to their nanas on Tuesday. Plus I offered another friendto have her kids while she goes to uni ver the holidays, mum said "Don't forget you're on holidays too!" I don't feel like it is my holiday LOL much easier for me when the kids are at school lol
anyway best be going
have a nice weekend girls
-
Tracey - I know what you mean about the babies being 5 months... Dylan is the youngest by 3 weeks in our playgroup and a couple of the babies are almost 6 months old. It's good though as I get a sneak preview of what's to come!
It's stinking hot here today - 38 I think. We put the ac on first thing this morning though so the house isn't too bad. We might go for a walk on the beach this evening once the sun's gone. Dogs can be off leash after 8pm so if we go then Jojo can have a swim. \:D/ He gets a bit neglected these days as I can't take him and the pram so if I go walking when dh is at work the poor dog gets left behind.
Well - better go think about dinner... we're going to give Dylan a bit of sweet potato tonight. So far he's only had Farex, but the last couple of nights he hasn't slept so well so thought we'd give some veges a go.
Enjoy your weekends (especially if you're in Vic or SA and get a long one!)
-
Tegan – IKWYM about the climbing! We have had to be really strict about Charlie and his climbing… he knows he’s allowed to get onto the couch, and into his highchair, but that he’s not allowed to stand on anything. When he stands on things we’re firm about it and put him at the end of the hallway (our ‘naughty corner’, even though we don’t call it that) and then he knows not to do it again. He’s pretty good at remembering but if he ever forgets, down the hallway does the trick! Maybe you could wear Lily out at a playground or play center with climbing. Hope she doesn’t hurt herself too much (although she probably will, because they all do, don’t they?!).
Mitch – poor DH! That’s no good. I really hope that no one else in the family gets sick… that’s all you need with all the things you’re doing over the next few days. I hope you enjoy the wedding and that the extra kids aren’t too much of a handful.
Nothing much to report. DH has his fortnightly radio shift tonight, so it’s single parenting for me again. Unfortunately, I think this is going to be one of the last relatively quiet weekends we have before the baby comes… Charlie and I are going to NSW/Vic next weekend for a wedding and pretty much every weekend from then until the end of May is going to be taken up with either DH’s extra work or me working on assignments in a mad rush to get them done before No. 2 arrives! I was hoping for us to be able to get away for a few days before then but I don’t think it’s going to happen. Bugger.
Charlie has been a nutcase recently. I think he might be getting more teeth, so that’s understandable. He’s usually such a happy little guy – I feel terrible for him when he’s sad and I can’t do anything about it. I used to give him Nurofen but then I heard some bad bad stuff about it and I’m reluctant to do it anymore. SM33 will have to suffice, I’m afraid. Poor thing.
We’re going to DH’s friends house tomorrow to discuss the possibility of us collaborating on an album (if we get a grant from the government) sometime next year. DH has already started the compositions, I’ll play keyboards and this friend will sing. Should be fun. She has a six-month-old daughter (named Chorus – interesting, huh?) so I’m looking forward to cuddling a little one again… if she’ll let me!
Anyway, hope you’re all having a great weekend and that your bubs and DPs are well.
-
Hello to all, just read everyone's posts and can now hear Kaleb stirring, so will have to make this quick!
Kellee, how exciting to be making an album! Hope you get the assistance you need. What sort of music do you play? Bummer about being so busy from now on, hope you manage to find a bit of time to chill out before the baby comes.
Oh Mitch, that is terrible news about Arron, hope he makes a speedy recovery. How was the wedding last night? You sound like you'll have your hands full for the next few days. The scrapbooking thing sounds great, I wish you were in QLD, because I would love to start scrapbooking but have no idea where to begin.
Tegan, Kaleb is a big climber too, it is frightening the things and places he manages to get up. He is a pro at steps now (which we have heaps of in our house) so that is one plus I suppose.
Mel, WOOHOO for Eliana's walking, that is fantastic! And what a good girl to sleep through at the movies for you! I took Kaleb to the Babes in Arms sessions a few times when he was around 3 months and it was bliss...he would sleep in his sling right through until I woke him for a feed just before it finished. There is no way in the world we could do that now. Not to mention the fact that he has never, not once, gone to sleep in his pram. Hope your headache disappeared quickly!
Bon, hope you are having a lovely weekend, hope your cake turned out beautifully!
DH is off today, his last Sunday off for ages, I was hoping we might do something fun that involves getting out of the house, but he is still recovering from his cold and is asleep, so I might have to get out & about with Kaleb this afternoon instead!
-
Hi I hope everyone had a nice weekend. We started Will on sweet potato last night, he seemed to like it but didnt want too much. He is now having two solids meals a day, but only about a teaspoon each feed. He has been a bit grizzly lately, I think he is making the transition from three day sleeps to two, so he wants to be up but is also tired grrr. His nappy rash is finally clearing up, we are using daktozin. It was shocking but is getting better thankfully.
MIL wants us to go there for easter, not sure if i want to venture into the lions den so soon again :) She has actually been offering my SIL some of Molly's old baby things!! DH's Nanna knitted Molly a beautiful pink cardigan and MIL has told DH that she has spoken to me about it and that SIL is expecting it. I am going to talk to SIL about it, it's one of those items I want to keep for memories...we'll see what happens I spose.
Hope you all have a good Monday - pub hol for some.... not me :(

A quick question for you girls that are breastfeeding... How are you going on the period side of things? My understanding was that b/f was meant to stop it for a period of time but I however have not been that lucky and have had mine every 28 days from the day Victoria was born. is anyone else like that too? or am I the only lucky one?
GEE it's quiet in here!!!

Hi girls
Had an awful day, spent it at 2 hospitals so that we could check Arron and make sure he didn't have legionnaires disease (sounds a bit extreme I know!) They diagnosed pnuemonia but then the dr at the KIlmore hosp was wanting to be sure about what he was treating atypical pnuemonia can be caused by legionella, so we had to drivfe to the nearest bigger hosp for chest xrays. We were there for 3 hrs. THe kids spent the day at my mums. Turns out things were ok and Arron ended up not in hospital as they first thought. We got home about 5.30pm.
I have put off having my gfs kids till the end of the week. The wedding was good, Arron was too sick to stay though and had to go home home by 9pm. The taxi didn't come for over an hr so I didn't get home till just bf 2am and we rang it at 11.15 to be there about 12.30am.
Jo- hope you had a nice day and got out of the house.
Kellee- what did you hear about nurofen? THe recording is exciting, hope it all works out. Chorus is an interesting name! Have fun on your trip. Hope you get some time to relax bf bubs arrives.
goodnight

Cindy - I'm bf & havent had AF at all since the birth.
Kell - ggrrr @ your MIL doing that! I would be really upset! You cant give something then 'pass it on' for the receiver! I hope you have a good chat with SIL, I'm sure she'll understand!
Tracey - what a big difference between our bubs! Pretty amazing hey!
Well we got back tonight & I'm just so glad not to be going again. Emma wasnt too happy on the way home & I cant blame her, 2 trips in 2 weekens - poor little mite, it was a lot to ask of her. So we are all very happy to be home again :)
Hope you all had a good weekend!

Hi!
I hope everyone's having a good weekend. Not much to report, Louis is doing well eating lots of food and he's settled down heaps! I'm a bit worried as I have a really sore boob so deperately trying to get the lump away before it turns into an infection. Also Louis has been mainly going to sleep in his cot without us rocking him or anything which is nice.
Tracey - It must have been nice seeing a little bubba again! I would have been so clucky.
Skyelar - Congrats on an Oct baby - I hope you have a happy and healthy p/g!! To start with we had to wrap Louis up snug as a bug and that was in 0000 and then we mainly bought short sleeve suits and summery clothes in 000. We're in Melb though so I assume it's a bit cooler down here.
Cindy - I don't want to think that far ahead - hehe! You're right though - this has been the fastest 5 months of my life! Re periods - Nup - I haven't had one yet! I've been getting niggley cramps the last couple of days though so I assume it's just around the corner. It will sound silly but I'm actually looking forward to it as we will be ttc at around 11-12 months. I've been doing home p/g tests every month or so just in case because I'm only on the mini pill and I forget to take it! hehe. Every now and then I get worried because it would be a bit to soon to get p/g again! hmmm if af doesn't turn up with these cramps I better do another one I suppose.....
Nikki - I'm so sorry to hear Chantelle is so sick. Poor little thing. Sounds like you're doing everything you can to make it better for her. Hope you're having fun down the beach!! Aren't giggles the best sound ever?? We have to work pretty hard to get them from Louis but it's so worth it!
Linda - Hope you're having a great weekend in Sydney. I'm glad Emma is doing so well.
Kell - What a gorgeous picture of Wll! Wow on the tsp - Louis has about 1/4 c each feed! hehe. Yet he's still only a little bundle. I think Louis may be the same with the sleeps. We're so out of routine at the moment with driving around visiting grandparents -grr. I need a few days at home to get it happening again. I don't blame you for wanting to hang on to little things that have sentimental value. I wouldn't pass them on either.
Donella - How did Dylan go with the sweet potato?? We've also had the air con on all day - its been hot here too!
Sorry for the novel -hehe.

Cindy - I'm still b/f. I get my AF every 40 something days now. I think my cycle is still working itself out, I'm not sure if it knows what it's doing at the moment. I suppose that's what b/f is all about...
Kell - Yes, Will and Benjamin are pretty close in the bodyweight department. Benjamin is 70.5cm tall and 9kgs. Benjamin loves his tucker.
Linda - Benjamin has his moments in car travel too. He'll either sleep all the way if you time it right, or he'll be a nightmare and have creaming matches.
Is anyone else having the problem of being able to hear the TV over their chattering bubs? Benjamin is constantly chattering loudly. He sings too. It's cute, but when there's something on you really want to watch, it becomes completely impossible. He constantly grabs the remote or phone too.

Cindy - I am not bf'ing anymore but with both my kids i got my period back at 6 weeks exactly and then eveery 28 days. My sister was the same, we're just unlucky I guess...
Krisvee - I know what you mean about the routine, we are fairly constant but it only takes one day for the bub to get out of routine and then it is a lot of work to get back into one. ATM I am finding that he wants to go to sleep just as we have to go out to take Molly to preschool grrr - it's frustrating.
Linda - MIL has earmarked so many of *my* things to give to others (both my BIL's expecting this year) it is driving me mad! MIL and I have our issues, but that could take two pages to go through :)
Will seems to have settled a bit better today, he is just not needing as much sleep through the day ATM, which is ok as long as doesnt grizzle while he's up. I've noticed he also wants more attention, he wont just play on the floor or in his bouncer while i cook, clean, wash etc. He wants me to sit and play with him all day, which is cute but time consuming - anyone else noticing this?

Hi everyone
well i am proud to announce that I got 9 hrs sleep straight last night
I fed Jordan at 10pm and he didnt wake till 7am.
I was gobsmacked and so pleased, I felt so good after the sleep
Cindy - I am breastfeeding and havent got my period back yet. I wouldnt mind getting it though as wouldnt mind TTC #2 at some point this year but dont want to give up feeding just yet.
Kell- hope you get somethings done during the day. It is hard to leave bubs on the floor to play and get things done. Its so hard to walk away, they are so cute.
Melissa - LOL at Benjamin being louder than the tele...... what a chatterbox he must be
Well off to watch little britain, does anyone else watch it? its hilarious
night night

Thats fantastic Tracey!! You must feel great today!
Kell, I'm so sorry you have a MIL doing that to you. I couldnt handle that at all. That just sucks!!
Melissa - LOL about not being able to hear the TV! Emma chatters a fair bit, but not so much that we cant hear the TV.
Kristie - glad Louis is settling so well now. Good luck getting rid of the blocked duct. They hurt so much!
Emma is going well, not much daytime sleeping, but then she didnt get up until 10am today! :) She's just devouring the solids - she absolutely loves whatever I give her!

Hi everyone! Single parenting tonight – will be asleep when DH gets home and asleep when he goes to work tomorrow, then the same tomorrow night! I hate this. Then we (Charlie and I) are going away for five days on Thursday, so family time is a thing of the past for the moment. Oh well, it means I get to spend some more time on BB!
Jo – hope you were able to have a nice afternoon, whatever you decided to do. By the way, was it you that was having problems with Kaleb brushing his teeth?
Mitch – Poor Aaron! At least it’s “just†pneumonia (!) and nothing more serious. Glad you were able to enjoy the wedding anyway. I hope he feels better soon, and that nobody else gets sick.
I can’t remember exactly what it was about Nurofen, but I know that a lot of people have had allergic reactions to it. From what I heard, it is one of these drugs that they rush through without testing it properly, and then they find out that bad things can happen. Sorry I’m not being more specific!
We had a lovely morning tea – I made the most naughty coconut and choc chip muffins. I made our friends keep them at their house so I wouldn’t eat them all! It was actually the first time we’d ever been to their house… Because I feel a bit hemmed in at the moment I was really excited to chat to another mum. I would love to call her and ask her to go out again sometime, but because I don’t really know her I’m a bit nervous to. Oh well.
Getting a bit nervous about our trip away. I’ve borrowed my BIL’s portable DVD player so that Charlie can watch “Spot†on the plane and not annoy any other passengers! Has anyone else got any tips for flying with toddlers? Also, another question… the reason I asked about Kaleb, Jo, was because my boy is driving me crazy when it comes to having a bath and cleaning his teeth. It’s almost like he’s scared of the bath at the moment – I don’t know why because he usually loves it. He usually lets me brush his teeth and then has a go himself. Sometimes these days he flat out refuses, or will only do it himself, and he can’t do it properly yet, of course. Has anyone got any ideas with this? I’m trying not to force the issue atm because I don’t want him to have any negative associations with it… I hate how bubs just change their minds like that!
Anyway, an early night calls. Hope you’re all well.
