Cindy - kids panadol is yuk :P I dont understand why they cant make it taste better? Hope you had a good night.
Krisvee - Last night was not too bad for us, how did it go for you? Today is a lovely day here, i might walk the kids to the park, hmmm
Fenella - Will wouldnt eat vegies to begin with either, he much prefers fruit. I persevered and he will now eat vegies, but is not as enthusiastic as he is when eating pear and banana! I am not working (outside the home that is :)) so cant help with that one.
have a good day!
-
fenella,i noticed you popped in and out of other threads so i knew you were ok,but it is okay to pop in here even if to just say hi.i often dont have alot to say and will just dribble so you all know i am still about.good to hear from you mate.
c doesnt like vegies much either although she loves mashed potatoe with gravey, she would eat fruit for every meal if i let her.
i am not at work yet either and have no desire to although i will prob start to think about it towards the end of the year,my work have me on there books for september so we will see.

Benjamin has a weetbix and a half or pear and banana rice cereal for breakfast, banana custard for lunch, then he has veges and meat for dinner. I gave a jar of the Cheesy bologonaise to him the other day, and he scoffed the lot. He loves pumpkin too. He just about eats everything I give him, except apple.
Hi Kristie!
Melissa
-
Fenella - I have been back at work for 3 1/2 mnths now and it isnt as bad as I thought it would be. I am enjoying time with my friends and it makes coming home to Jordan all the more exciting. I love it when he smiles when I get home. I am sure you will be right. It does take a while to get used to it, for both you and bubs. What are you doing with Tamsin when you are at work?
Melissa - Benjamin sounds like he is loving his solids. When did you start him on meat? Currently Jordan is only having pumpkin and sweetcorn or mixed vegetables for dinner.
He has cereal with fruit ofor breakfast as plain cereal was constipating him :(
Well Had a nice day today. Jordan had a great sleep which was good. He has only had 3 boob feeds today which is good. The last at 7.00 so I prob go to bed without feeding him and let him wake about midnight or 1 for a feed. Then I am garaunteed that he wont need another feed till 7am.
I have my 1st offical client for my plate business :) I am making a plate for her baby girl. I am so excited. I am going to start it on the weekend. Who knows, I may be able to make some money out of this. Even if only play money....
Have a nice night and hope all the bubs sleep soundly
-
Hi!
Well, we had a great day! Cindy came along to our Mothers group and we all had a good gasbag. Miss Tori is so gorgeous and gets around everywhere! So it was really great to meet them both! Louis loved seeing all the kids again - he crashed on the way home and I brought him in, fed him and put him to sleep and he slept for 2 hours!! He must have been exhausted...back in bed now so we'll see how he goes tonight.
Kell - Last night was a shocker as well - he was in bed at 8pm up at 9.30pm/11.20/11.40/2.00/4.00/fed at 5.00 and then up at 8.20am!!!! Grrrr. I'm not quite sure whats going on with him. I'll just have to deal with it for now and hope he snaps out of it......
Hey Nikki, do you think you might be p/g again before you go back to work??!! How's Chantelle going with her sleep?
Melissa - Benjamin sounds like Louis with food! Loves pretty much all of it.....
Tracey - I'm glad the Jordan is well. Yeah on your first client!! How exciting.
Fenella - I wouldn't stress too much about the solids. I'm sure she's getting enough.... I'm not working out of the house so I can't help you there.
Well, here's hoping we all get a good nights sleep
-
hi girls.kristie,i was imagining you and louis playing ball in the hall way today while i was changing chantelle and it made me smile, that is soooo sweet,he sounds like he is growing up fast.i am glad that you got to catch up with cindy,by the look of tasmins photo in her ticker she looks like an adorable looking baby, maybe one day me and tracey will catch up with you two and we will try to talk kell into it aswell,we are all in melbourne so it would be a lovely oportunity dont you think.i dont mind traveling, maybe me and tracey could drive together and meet you guys somewhere,i know your side of town very well.maybe ringwood lake or somewhere we can escape from bad weather?????
who knows maybe i will be preganant by then but we need to find a house first and maybe have sex...LOL!!!!havent had much of that latly have been to tired and crancky by the time i hit the pillow.we found a house we like so we are going to put an offer in on saturday subject to the sale of our house, our house goes to auction on the 24th of june so omly 5 weeks away so they might say yes to that, will tell you all about it if they accept it.
chantelle is still not sleeping well.waking before midnight, then at about 2 and then 5.30,i spose that isnt to bad really,im just over it and would love to have a solid nights sleep.we have coreys appointment on friday re his behaiviour problems,i am actually really looking forward to it.corey is not coming, just grant and i so we can talk about our concerns first without him being there.i am 100% sure that he is fine and that we are the problem,we will need to be retrained to be effective in our discipline.he will see the dr next week but i am looking forward to getting some good advice and ideas to help mold him into a better behaved child.it is so hard saying NO to my son,the look on his face makes me cave in every time but i have to be strong if he is to grow into a stable well adjusted young person.will let you know how it all goes.wonder what is going on with linda?hope she is okay
good night sweet dreams

Hey Nikki,
That would be great to all catch up one day! I'm sure Cindy would be keen as well. I'd be happy to meet you somewhere a bit closer into the city to save all that travel...I'm sure we'll work something out.
Babies and sleep hey? I never new it would be this hard. Louis is so good through the day - we honestly have so much fun together, but nights just drive me crazy at the moment. As soon as I go to sleep my tolerance flies out the window -hehe.'
Good luck with the dr about Corey. Have you read dr phils Family First? I just read it and it's really good. I know I'll read it again when I have kids that are a bit older and I need to sort them all out - hehe. Just a thought....
Good luck with the house - it's all so stressful isn't it..
Linda - where are you??? I hope everythings cool......
-
Morning all!
Tracey - Wow 1st plate, this could the beginning of something big :)
Krisvee - Last night Will slept beautifully, i am passing on sleep vibes to Louis :) I think the lack of sleep is the hardest thing about babies, i am the same as you I can be fine during the day with it all but then if i get woken up i am so cranky!
Nikki - fingers crossed for the auction, have you had much interest? Hope the dr goes well. I agree with Krisvee - dr phil has some good ideas on discipline, might be worth a look?
-
Good Morning!
Well, I think Cindy and Tori have magic sleep vibes as Louis slept a lot better last night. I also really rugged him...He went to sleep at about 7-7.30pm and woke at 8pm/10.20pm/4.20am/6am - feed/8.20am up for the day! So I actually got a good nights sleep - woohoo!!! So thats only twice while I was asleep...
Kell - I'm so glad Will slept well last night - I will take all the sleep vibes I can get - hehe.
-
kell and kristie yay on the good sleep.i hope it continues to improve.
kell we have had alot of interest and already 2 offers but they were a little short of what we want,so far we have only had 2 open house inspections and 2 ads in the paper,we are about to go full on with our campaigne now, with a huge baord and open house inspections every weekend and ads in the paper every week so hopefully something comes of it,me and chantelle are going to the toy library this morning, cant wait, she will love it,for those of you who dont know about it,ring your council, they will direct you to one near you.i used to go to one in ringwood when james was little, you get to borrow up to 6 toys and books puzzles etc for 2 weeks and then return them and borrow somethoing else, they sterilise everything and they have the most fantastic toys, some very expensive to buy, they are all age appropriate and are suitable from birth to 6 years.it saves on alot of money and keeps the kids interested in what they are playing with,it also teaches them alot of new skills.so check it out
nikki
-
back from the toy library.it cost me $20 to join and that covers 3 months,i can have up to 6 toys,3 resourse books and 2 puzzles, great value....i got a water filled ball with ducks in it,2 board games for the boys a construction toy for the boys,2 puzzles,an activity thingy with all sorts of fun noises and games on it for c and a twirl around garden play mat/gym for c,it is bttery operated and is very exciting, she loves it.i also got the book raising boys.there was so much to choose from and i had fun playing with everything before i finally chose stuff.
bettina modelling agency rang me and have accepted the boys for modelling, they have there first photo shoot next thursday.they didnt take chantelle, they said they already had too many in there portfolio that looked similar to her, blue eyed and bald headed.LOL i will ring a couple of the other agencies that were interested in her and see if i can get her in one of them.

Hi everyone!!
Sorry it's been so long!
Well I think we finally have broadband back on - but the phone messes with it so I still have some problems to fix. But it's so great to be on!! :D
I have only had a quick browse of this page but it seems like you are all well. All the bubs are growing up so fast!
We had a clinic visit today. Weight: 6.72kg, all's well.
It's so good to be back!! Aren't the new forums great!!!
-
Linda - Hope you iron out the creases in your broadband. Great to see your back with us. We've got the whole broadband shift in 2 weeks. Hopefully we can get it where we're moving too.
Tracey - Benjamin has the meat and vege that comes in the baby food cans and jars. He's been having the beef, potato and pumpkin in a can since he was 5 months I think, maybe a little earlier. The can reads 4 - 6 months. Haven't worked out how to get it fine enough the normal way. He's been enjoying morrocan lamb and cheesy bologonaise in a jar.

Hi girls, sorry I have been missing the past couple days but I am just exhausted at the moment, think I might be getting a cold and tori has been a bit chucky lately so she doesnt seem to be 100^% either at the moment. She is still waking at 11pm and 3am and then for the day at 6 but I think she is up for longer when she wakes at the moment and thats why I'm so worn out maybe.
Kristie -It was fantastic to meet you and your gorgeous boy louis. Girls be warned he is going to be a heartbreaker, keep your girls away from this one as they get older!! he is just such a cutie.
Nikki, Kristie was right, I'm keen to meet up with anyone and I dont mind the travel either. Just pick a date and we are on! We took Tori to Bettina yesturday and will hear from them on monday as to if they want her or not, Im not phased either way really, she would enjoy it though.
Well, I must be off, I have to drop my mum off at the hospittal for her shoulder surgery in an hour so I better go have a shower.
-
Hi!
Well, Louis was up heaps again last night - at least 5 times...grrr and he's getting harder to put down through the day again. I normally can put him down and walk out and he goes straight to sleep so not sure whats happening there. I think I'm going to book in to sleep school......
We're off to the PIL for the weekend for Mil b'day. Should be good to get away from home and a change of scenery. They live on 110 acres up at Bonnie Doon so it's so beautiful up there. Dh would live up there in a flash but I'm not so sure I could live there all the time so far removed from everything. Although dh could work with his dad and earn a lot more money than he does now so I suppose it's worth considering...?? Maybe until the kids were to start school?? Anyway.....
Nikki - Good luck with the house! What a busy time for you. The toy library sounds great...I must have a look at one...
Linda - Good to hear from you! Computers/internet can be so frustrating....I hope it all gets sorted.
Melissa- I just food process the meat.....
Cindy - Sorry to hear that you both haven't been feeling well! It's so hard to feel great when you're not getting good sleep either...
I hope everything goes well with your mums surgery!
Well, I better get a move on - I've got heaps to do today and I haven't even had a shower yet - hehehe.
-
Hi.
Krisvee - sorry to hear about the bad sleeping, maybe a sleep school might help. Your weekend away sounds nice, have fun!
Nikki - the toy library sounds great, we have one here but i have never used it. i will have to look into it.
Linda - it s*cks having a bad connection, hopefully things sort themselves out. We have an older computer and i hate using it it is so slow so Nick brings his laptop home from work for me to use :) we are going to buy a new one in the next few weeks, we are waiting for the Aldi computer to go on sale again, it is a fantastic machine!
Hope everyone has a nice weekend, i am going shopping on sunday with my sis and mum, NO children :)
-
Hi girls, Have been about a little during the week but have not had a chance to post. Gussy's been doing a week of extreme crying so it's been pretty limiting. Ahhhh tis so exhausting. Seems he's reacting to different solids we've been trying. He's so super allergic to things. Aghhhh! He's now the grand old weight of 5.1kg (and 62cm long) so we REALLY need to get him interested in food! He's been screaming full pelt from about 8am until 9 or 10pm WITHOUT A BREAK!!!!! Scarymary! Am looking forward to the weekend. Ian's worried about how I'm coping with all the crying so has said I can have Saturday completely "off". So I've booked the day solid. Am actually pretty excited! he ha! I have pilates first thing tomorrow morning, then the hairdresser, then spending the afternoon shopping with two girlfriends, then out for a girls night to a restaurant and local pub. Then on Sunday we've booked a sitter to mind Gussy while Ian and I go to see the Da Vinci Code. That will definitely help take the edge off a sh**ty week!
-
Yeah the weekend is finally here. I had an awful day at work today. Lots of people getting angry and being nasty over the phone. I have to laugh but they make me mad some times.
Anyways. Jordan has a good week at the nannas. He is settling well into the routine of being babysat again which is a great load off my mind.
The nannas are loving having him again which is good. They dont like it when I pick him up they always say he can stay longer.
Kirstie - I am sorry to hear that Gus has been a little unsettled. Good to hear that you are having a "me" day, its something we all need now and then. I am going to get waxed this weekend and am looking forward to it. (silly isnt it)
Kell - Have a great shopping trip Sunday with NO children. That will be an easy trip. No getting prams etc in and out of cars.
Krisvee - Hope that Louis settles down again soon. I think it must be a phase the October bubs are going thru. Jordan also wants to be rocked to sleep at the moment and normally we would put him to bed and he would nod off on his own. Now he just cries????? I am hoping this phase will end soon. Its hard to rock an 11 kilo baby to sleep.
Cindy - Hope your mums operation went ok.
Melissa - I think i will buy some meat and veg baby foods and give them a go. I think the pumpkin must be getting boring for the little tacker now. He has been having it for 2 weeks now. We tried mixed vegetable and he backed up so maybe we will try that again in a week or so.
Well have a nice night everyone. Lots of sleep vibes to all the Oct babies.
-
Kristie - I don't have a food processor, but I'm seriously thinking of getting one.
Kristy - I hope things with Gussy get better
Melissa
-
i bought one of those hand plunger type ones,it was only $20 and it purees, minces and mixes, best thing i ever bought

Hi!
Well, what a weekend. My more little monster has come down with a cold... he has slept so badly (we had the worst night ever last night) I think with being sick and away from home he just didn't know what was going on. He tried so hard to be happy though. His little eyes are all watery and snotty nose.....
Kell - Hope you had a great shopping trip!
Kirsty - Wow, you poor thing. That must be so hard to cope with all day. I really hope you had a great weekend having some time for yourself and with your dh.
Tracey - I'm glad Jordan is settled down with his nannas.
Melissa - I just have one of those braun things...it has a blender, whisk thing and food processor thing. I'm not sure how much they are but I know there not as much as a big food processor and don't take up half as much room. I started off using a the blender for his food and now I use the processor for his meat/pasta and just mash his veggies.
K, I'm so tired and have to unpack everything yet....I hope you all had a great weekend.
-
Hi! i had a nice day shopping, no prams and kids - it was quite relaxing.
Kirsty - Sounds like you are having a trying time, poor thing! I hope the weekend revived you and was relaxing :) How was The Da Vinci Code, have heard mixed views.
Krisvee - Hope Louis is feeling better, i have a cold too so know how the poor chook is feeling, i hope Will and Molly dont get this one.
Tracey - I hate days of work when people are rude and abusive, i know how that feels! Sometimes you just want to slap people!
Molly's preshool day today so I have an afternoon off peace coming up (she is soooo loud :)) hopefully Will will cooperate and sleep :) It is getting quite cold here, frosty mornings yuk :P Dh would follow the winter around the world if he could, i hate the cold! His twin lives in Germany and they have such cold winters that he gets jealous and even threatens to move there!
Hope you all have a nice monday,
-
Kell - how exciting with Molly starting pre school. what a big girl she is getting. I have found that flanalette cot sheets have done wonders for Jordans sleeping as he gets all snug and warm. If its cold at your place, maybe invest in some of them?
Krisvee - sorry to hear about the cold. It really does throw the little ones out a bit. Hope he settles for you soon and you get a good night sleep.
well i have taken my 1st sicky today..... and not because of me or Jordan but the dog.
One of my puppies has a sore eye, turns out she has an ulcer on it. So off to the vet we went and now we have drops to put in 2-3 times daily.
I might take advantage of the day off and go visit my grandmother, she just moved to a retirement village and havent seen her new place yet.
Have a nice day everyone.
-
kristie, chantelle has developed a cold too and she is miserable, her eyes are so watery and her nose so runny, she keeps couging and sneezing and hasnt slept more than 20 minutes at a time cos she cant breath,it is going to be one hell of a night tonight.
tracey,we spent the morning at the vet to today,my cat has 2 very sore swolen infected feet,so they have put him under anesthetic and are having a look, they also want xrays and blood test cos he is very sick, wont eat and in alot of pain,he will be picked up tonight and they have quoted me $600.they are also concerned that he may have feline aids....?????i will know the results any time soon.
cindy, how did you go with bettina?my boys have there photo shoot this thursday,i just went shopping for them so they look spunky
nikki
-
Just a quick one to let you all know I've updated Emma's website if you want to have a squizz...
-
wooohhoooo,yipeee.i made 1000 posts,clever me!!!!
-
heh, nikki, i was happy at making 100 LOL
-
Linda - Wow what a cutie, love the babycino (Molly still loves hers :))
-
omg.....i knew it would be a trying night, chantelle woke at 10.45 last night,i had been in bed since 10pm.i was getting very nasty as she wouldnt re settle,i was yelling at her and beeing really impatient, after 1 hour i bathed her to try and clear the congestion and she then went to sleep.i felt so bad for screaming and carrying on that i decided it would be easier if i just didnt go back to bed as i would not be woken from sleep when she continually woke.she did wake lots last night and i handled her really well as i was already awake but i have been up since 10.45 last night,i had 45 minutes sleep.
i dont think i will be very nice person by tonight, dont know if i have done a good thing here or not.i spose it is a sacrafice i am glad i made as i knew i would lose my head if i had to get up all night, just hope i can handle the day with out sleep.
nikki
-
Thanks Kell :D
Nikki - it was a difficult night here also. Emma has a cold & woke 5 times through the night. Try to get a nap in with her today if you can!
-
linda that is what is wrong with chantelle, wonder how louise went he also has a cold...gggrrr!
nikki
-
Hi!
Well, Louis seems to be getting a bit better. Still a bit snotty but not to bad. Sunday night he woke at least 10 times but I had mentally prepared myself for it so kept going back to sleep - he was settling easy just wanted me to go in there so it was easy enough. (and after sat night where we couldn't settle him at all it was good) Last night was really good. He only woke 3 times over night including 1 feed so I'm happy with that. That's better than we've had when he's well lately - hehe.
It's my Birthday today!!! I'm 25!! Getting old - hehehe. Of course dh forgot this morning so I'm waiting for my phone calls etc but I've just had one message from an old friend....silly family....hehe. They'll probably all forget!! We're not doing anything to celebrate until the weekend as dh has a cold as well...in fact I really have to go and do food shopping today - so not looking forward to it!
Kell - I hate winter too!! Although with the ducted heating at home I hardly notice it. I just can't wait for the warmer weather again because it means Louis will be old enough to really enjoy the outdoors this year!
Tracey - Sorry to hear about your doggy...I hope you were able to still enjoy a day without work though...I miss having a dog soo much - when we bought our unit I thought we'd be able to but the body corp still said we couldn't even though we own it...grrr.
Nikki - Sorry to hear about Chantelle. It's so hard. Louis luckily is sleeping much better now and was still having good naps through the day. Have you tried the saline nose spray stuff? We've been using that and it seems to have helped a little. Wow $600 for your cat!!! Maybe it's just as well we don't have a pet because those kind of bills we could do without right now! hehe. Yeah on 1000 posts! I've got a little way to go I think! I can totally understand about getting frustrated - I can deal with almost anything through the day but when you're in the middle of sleep and you have to get up a million times it's very easy to get annoyed. The only reason I dealt with it the other night was that I was fully expecting worse so even though I got up a lot it was easier than it had been iykwim?? Gosh no sleep though....I couldn't handle that. Try and have a sleep through the day or you'll be out of it by tonight!! I hope she's feeling better and you get a better night tonight.
Linda - What a gorgoeus pictures! I love the ones with the angel wings! You're so talented! Poor Emma being sick as well. It's certainly the time for it!
-
HAPPY BIRTHDAY KRISTIE!!!!! I hope you have a wonderful day!
Not much has been happening around here, my mums surgery went better than they expected which is great but now I have her and tori to get dressed in the mornings my days are getting slower at the moment.
Tori has broken her first tooth though, just the tip of it but its a start.
Nikki - I still havent heard from Bettina which is a touch unprofessional IMO but Dp is going to give them a call today and see what the story is. I dont mind if she isnt accepted I would just like to know! I am goign to give it a miss untill she gets through the teething stage if she doesnt get into bettina,
gotta go, she just fell and bumped her head on the stairs which she is trying to climb!
Speak soon
Cindy
-
Nikki - We just heard from bettina and they want tori on the books and aparently have clients already keen to meed her for an ad of some sort just from the interview we had. They have organised our photos to be done this thursday at 1.50pm when are you having your boys ones done?
I just went our and spent to much money on way to many clothes for the photos too, but she is getting to long for the 00's anyway. I just need to find some shoes now, wnybody got an idea for me as to where to look for shoes that dont lace up? THey are to hard to get on her wiggling feet, she had little converse boots but they are just way way way to hard to get on most days. If only she would stay still for a second.
I am going to get going again, time for a nap I'm thinking, she has just gone down for her first sleep for the day and I am worn out! I cant believe she went from 9am to 4pm!
-
Hi everyone
I am sorry to hear that most of the bubs have colds. I hope that they all get over it soon and back into a nice sleep pattern.
Happy birthday Kirstie. I hope you had a nice day, even if people didnt remember straight away.
Cindy - Yeah on Tori being accepted into the agency. I hope she does get some good work out of it. You never know she maybe the next neighbours star!!!!! Then I can say I knew her when she wasnt even born.......
Nicole - Darling. I hope you get a good night sleep tonight. Hopefully we can cheer you up tomorrow if you are still up for it. Let me know if you want to cancel. I can understand you may not be up to it if you have little to no sleep. Nadine is in the same boat at the moment so maybe you too could assist with ideas......
Good luck with the boys photo shoots. I am sure they will look gorgeous.
(no blue ice cream for James before the photo shoot though :) )
Well not much to report here. Jordan is doing well. I am still struggling to fill a bottle of EBM. Jordan had a bottle of 180 ml today when I was at work and although MIL thought he could have had more he wasnt unhappy so I guess thats the main thing. I try to get atleast 200 ml. I got 190 ml tonight so will try and express tomorrow at some point to top it up.
Have a great night everyone. Sleep vibes to all.
-
Happy Birthday Kristie!!!
Hope you had a wonderful day & get to sleep all night tonight!! ;)

Nikki - I am not platinum member yet, keep meaning to do it but my mobile number isnt anything to hide so it is 0410495570. We must be right after your boys so we will definately be seeing you then! We were given 1pm at first but changed it cos I haveto pick my niece up from kinder at 12.30 so wouldnt have time to get there. I will be meeting another person from bely belly it looks like. How exciting! We will be getting there a bit early anyway so we can give my niece some lunch so she doesnt go crazy waiting during the pics. I'm hoping she will be happy during it with the focus not being on her, she is a character! She should be very helpful in getting tori to smile though, she just walks in the room at the moment and tori starts laughing, very cute!
Looking forward to meeting you and your boys, will you have your princess with you?
Gotta get going, time for a shower, what a luxury these days!
I hope you had a great birthday Kristie
-
tracey,i cant find your number and i cant pm you it is not working,me and c should be there, was it at 1pm today, she doesnt have a fever now and is a bit higher spirits, jenny cant make it as brodie is sick and contagious.....cindy,i am such a **** head,my appointment is at 9.30....got confused, our appointment for the first interview was at 1.30.....derrrrr!!!!!!i am going to9 ring them though and see if we can go later as i dont want to go during peak hour,i will let you know.
nikki
-
Kristie, Wishing you belatedly a very happy birthday. Hope you were spoilt by the boys!
Cindy and Nikki, Congratulations on your children being accepted by Bettina. That's wonderful news. My cousin has two daughters (now 9 and 11) who have been modelling and acting successfully for quite a few years. They save most of their earnings and now have more stashed away than people four times their age! They are both now at performing arts schools and are planning careers in the acting industry. And to think it all started when they were pretty little babies. he ha!
Sorry to hear so many babies are sick with colds at the moment. Let's hope that this is their main big cold of the season and that their little immune systems are being made extra strong as part of the process of being sick. Hope you guys get some really restful sleep soon. Must be hard going!
Tracey, You are doing so well continuing to express. It must be tough with such a hungry bub trying to keep up with it all. Just a thought...have you tried any of the milk boosting things I posted about a while ago? I'm currently taking Motillium - as Gussy's extreme screaming week caused my supply to plummet. I started on the Motillium yesterday and already my expressed volumes have almost doubled!
Went to see Gussy's allergy immunologist on Monday. Due to his allergies we can only feed him rice cereal and pear as solids at this stage (in conjunction with breast milk). All the extreme crying over the past couple of weeks has been an allergic reaction. I'm still on the diet to make my milk free from allergens (ie I can't eat dairy, eggs, wheat, seafood, nuts or soy), so the problem has been the solids I've been offering him. Now that Gussy's 7 months (corrected age) he's apparently not receiving enough nutrients from such a limited diet so we have to introduce one bottle of formula a day. However, because of Gussy's allergies we can't use any of the regular formulas and have to give him one called Neocate. We can only get it on via an authority prescription. It's an elemental formula made from amino acids and is not derived from the milk of cows, goats or soy so shouldn't trigger any allergies. Hopefully this might help him to pack on some weight! We start hydrotherapy next week in a group of "failure to thrive babies" - terrible phrase isn't it. It's designed to help strengthen their muscles. Apparently there's an ex-premmie there who's two and only 7kg. Gosh I hope that won't be our fate!
Hope all is going well with you guys.
