Kazzy, when Emma is unsettled of an evening, she doesnt cry non stop, but on and off, but will get really upset if put down. so i wrap her really tightly, put the dummy in and hold her really close in my arms. she likes to move around too. so i generally pace the room. luckily it doesnt happen too often, cause you cant do anything else at the same time, but it seems to work for us.. HTH
I have to say that my supply seems to be a bit less in the arvos too, not to bad though, it just takes her longer to fill up, she gets pretty windy by the endo f the day too so lots of burping!
Evindently my supply is fine though as we had her 6 week check today and she has put on a kilo in the past 4 weeks which surprised the health nurse. She is getting heaps more smily and playful the past week too, we spend alot of time lying on the floor together pulling faces! It must be a funny sight for the other half when he comes home ot see us.
I will definately be giving the settling tips a go, its funny how its all stuff we hear but forget until someone says it works for them.
Tori is having a long sleep in the morning and then will be up from 11 untill about 1.30 and then will only have cat naps all afternoon and seems to want to feed all afternoon. She will then go down again at about 6.30 and wake around 10ish and will have 3 hourly sleeps untill 6am and it all starts again.
The night feeds are only quick ones, literaly 10 mins including nappy and settling. I dont talk to her or make eye contact or anything otherwise she thinks its time to get up for the day. I hate not chatting to her but otherwise she would be up for hours at a time.
Got to go, my princess is calling, she went down early tonight so looks like its time for a feed again already.
Has anyone gone to a babes in arms session at the movies yet? We were going to give it a try today but my girl was too unsettled.

Well, the concert is all over! It went fairly smoothly and the kids looked gorgeous! I still have a little work to do but nothing urgent. I'm so relieved. I can finally just kick back and enjoy my bubba. And chat on here of course! I've missed so much in the last week so I'll try my best to catch up. (This could be long!!!)
Linda – Glad to hear Emma is growing well! It’s so exciting to see how much they’ve put on! We’ve got Louis’ appointment tomorrow. I haven’t thought about the immunization yet – I suppose we’ll just do the standard way.
Bonnie – They know how to test us that’s for sure! It can get so frustrated when we don’t know what to do to help them.
I have been having a lot of trouble with Louis in the mornings – actually pretty much all day! After his feed he just screams. I’m sure it’s wind but sometimes he burps heaps and still screams. At the moment it usually takes me at least 3-4 goes to get him to sleep. I’m with you though, luckily he sleeps well most nights and I get him down easily. Also sometimes when I lay him down during the day he has little sicks. Do you think he’s getting too much milk maybe??
Melissa – Yeah on Benjamin’s christening – I’m glad it all went well. I hope he’s feeling better now! Congrats on the weight loss – I agree with getting your hubby to eat healthy too. My dh is skinny and eats heaps of junk which makes it really hard to be good!
Sorry to hear about your dh accident – that must have been so scary. I’m glad to hear he is ok though.
Candice – Wow on your boy! He is growing well! Yeah on going to the movies – I bet it was great to get out. I’m very jealous that you’re doing it every f/n. I’m hoping after Christmas to start something like that – if I can find babysitters! My brother & his gf babysat last night for the concert and did a great job so hopefully they will be up for it next year. I figure they’ll get us back as they want to start a family soon.
Kazzy – I find Louis reacts differently almost every feed. We’re definitely not in a good pattern yet. He’ll basically settle always after an hour during the day. He’s just wide eyed! So I suppose he usually sleeps around 1 1/2-3 hours each time. It just varies so much.
At the moment he screams after a feed. I just try everything. Putting him in his cot, trying a dummy, placing my hand on him for security etc. We always wrap him for his sleeps so sometimes he may need re-wrapping. At the moment we let him grizzle first and don’t pick him up unless he’s properly crying. I never thought I’d do that but it seems to tire him a little. Of course we pick him up and check for wind, but we never put him down unless we think it’s all up anyway. At the moment he’s just got the 6 week blues!
Nikki – Sorry to hear about your tooth – that sounds terrible!

My appetite is fine! If anything I’m eating more. Now with the concert over I will get stuck into losing this last 1-2 kg. My brother just bought an awesome treadmill and he only lives 5min away so I’m going to head over at times and use that. I take Louis for a walk in the pram but I’m so worried about all the bumps that I don’t like walking to fast – he he.
Kerrie – I’m so sorry you’ve been having a rotten time of it. It must be so challenging looking after your 2 bubbas. Sometimes I don’t think our dh understand the strain of it. Please make sure you look after yourself though as much as I know it’s hard too. We end up at the bottom of the list being Mums!
Tracey – I’m not sure on the b/f. I don’t notice a difference in my supply really. I suppose bubbas reaction to it is different with his wind and being unsettled in the morning. Maybe it does settle down by the evening and that’s why he sleeps better?? I suppose you could express to get your supply up.
After the performance last night my boobs were killing me – I only feed one side at a time so the side that missed the feed was huge. I expressed when I got home and in 15min had filled a 125ml bottle!! No wonder it was sore! I then fed him on that same side and he spent about 3 min on the other side. I can’t believe it! Hehe
Cindy – Yeah on your girls weight gain! It’s so exciting now that their starting to play a little. We have little conversations with Louis now which is fun.
How do you do a night feed in 10min??? You’re amazing. I don’t get out of it generally under 40min and sometimes if he is windy up to 1 ½ hours! I don’t talk either and keep all the lights really dim.
I haven’t been to the movies yet. I think I’ll wait until next year. I definitely want to though because they usually play all the chick flicks that dh will never go and see with me!!

Yay that you are all done with the concert Kristie!!! That must be such a huge weight off your shoulders!! And great that it all went so well. I just thought of something about the wind with Louis. When Emma 'seems' to have wind, i lay her face down over one arm, so that her belly rests on my arm and her head hangs to the side - does that make sense? I think the pressure on her belly really helps. Anyway, dont know if you have tried that but just thought i would mention it.
Cindy - what a great weight gain! she must be really doing well. Yay on the smiles! Emma is getting more playful by the day too. i just love it. she does little squeals and smiles like she is talking to us. i could just do it all day - but it is amazing how suddenly she goes from happy to grumpy and tired!! almost in an instant!
I asked the nurse about Emma going in the pool in summer and she said it was fine! Wow! she said some people take their bubs in younger than Emma and even put threir head under! :shock: Yep, thats right. She said if i want i can put her under - i definately DONT want to! but it is pretty amazing how tough they are already hey?
Linda - thanks for that. I basically hold him each way I can until eventually something works. He fell asleep before on my belly with his head on my chest. I could have stayed like that all afternoon but thought I better put him in his cot!
Wow on going in the pool! That's good. We're going to buy a little kiddy blow up pool to play with this summer. I hope if we can get the water warm enough we can dip him in (dh says I'm just buying it for me - he he) We're also heading to the beach for a couple of days in Jan but I think the Victorian water will be way to cold for him. We'll have to see. We might be able to just dip his toes in.

Thanks for caring, DH has some lovely seat belt bruises coming out now. I was asleep with Benjamin when he went to work, so it was a big shock when he called me. I am happy he called me, and that it wasn't the police knocking on my door with bad news. I don't know what I'd do without him. He won't be doing that again in a hurry, with no car for a while. Should hear more from the insurance mob soon. I'll be trying to get DH to sleep more from now on. He wants to help out at night, that's why he has limited sleep. I can handle night times better than DH anyhow. The car capsule had to be destroyed because it was put out of shape by the accident.
Candice - We aim to feed/change/play/top up/sleep here. Sometimes the change of the nappy comes before the feed, then again afterwards. We try to not play with him at night, but the cheeky grin usually comes out and it's just irresistable.

Melissa - Isnt it just so hard not to play with them giving the cheeky grin. I swear Victoria already know how to use it against me!!
On the swimming front, I took Victoria swimming at the inlaws 2 weeks ago and she loved it!! I didnt put her head under though, I'm to scare to do that yet! Its stupid really coz she would probably love it but we are the ones that worry, they know no different. Perhaps I will be brave enough next time?
The little bathers are so cute too! The only thing is they dont make newborn swimming bathers so we braved her just in the one piece, she managed to hold everything in until I got her dressed too.
Tori has slept so much today that I am hoping that it doesnt mean she will be up all night.
I remember someone mentioned having the fisher price aquarium bouncer, we got one a few weeks ago too and gee is that the best spent money so far. She loves it.

Has everyone noticed a huge change in their bubbas at 6 weeks??? I thought I new Louis and now he's completely different. We've had to change our whole approach to him. He's feeding a lot quicker (10-15min) so playing a lot more. I'm actually thinking that the more we seem to hold on to him the more he cries at the moment. He just wants some time out on his play mat or kick n whirl without us hovering over him I think. At least that's what worked this time.....
Melissa - glad DH is doing OK. guess he really needs some more sleep though!
cindy - good on you for taking Victoria swimming - I agree - how cute in the swimmers! I have bought some for Emma but she hasnt worn them yet - cant wait!
Kristie - emma seems to want to play a lot more now too. the trick is figuring out when she wants to play vs sleep vs feed LOL. I just try the one i think and if it doesnt work try the next!!
Cindy - sounds like fun taking bubs swimming. I cant wait to take a Jordan. We are going to Arlie Beach in January so will be taking him swimming then. He will be about 2 1/2 months old then.
Krisvee - COngrats on getting the concert completed. You must feel releived now that it is all over.
I have the same problem with Jordan screaming after a feed. It is normally his 4-5pm feed and his 8-9 feed. I was thinking it was because he wasnt getting enough which is why we started using a bottle of BM in the evenings.
Could be wind I suppose however Jordan hardly burps, he is a farter and seems to do them in his sleep. I attempt to burp him but once he is floppy I put him down even if nothing has come up.
Sorry this is hort but bubs and DH just got back from a walk and bubs hungry, duty calls. :D

well the expressed bottle seemed to do the trick.
I had just over 5 onces in the bottle. We started to feed him at 9.00 when he got sleepy we left him for a while then bathed him. After his bath he finished off the rest and then slept from 11pm thru to 2am.
He only woke the once during the night for a feed which was fantastic.
I have already expressed a bottle for tonight. I have put about 5 onces (150 mil) in again. I am hoping this will settle him nicely as we are going out tonight and I would hate to have him screaming at my friends party.

Hope everyone is doing well on this lovely friday. I cant wait for the weekend so hubby can be home with us. I get lonely at home sometimes and like for DH to see Jordan more and spend time with him.

Yes, my relationship has changed with dh. Obviously Louis comes first and we're both basically consumed with him. Then at night he usually goes on baby duty and I go to bed. We've had times when we're very short with each other and have had a few little spats. It usually ends up with me in tears though because I can't handle much at the moment. It's enough to deal with a baby than with a dh as well!!!
My dh also spends a lot of time playing computer games which drives me crazy because he'll get upset if he doesn't get to play very much. Of course I'm like - I haven't had 5min to myself since Louis arrived and if I do I want to sleep! hehe.
I think it takes a little while to adjust and I think the guys just don't fully understand how draining it can be.
We're looking forward to some time out after xmas with some babysitters (family) so that we can reconnect a little. Dh also has 3 weeks off over christmas so that will be good also.
Anyway, better go - off soon to my first Mothers Group meeting and to see how much weight my little boofa has put on! hehe.

cindy it is qiiet normal for dhs to feel a bit cranky after a new baby comes becuase all of a suuden you are not giving all your attention to him,it will get easier as they just need time to adjust,they soon realise that they are not your number 1 anymore and do get used to it,sounds like im talking about a toddler but men do feel like they are being neglected also.beleive me we have 3 kids now and my poor dh gets put to the back all the time but i make sure i still give him the passing kiss in the hall way or hold his hand if we are sitting near each other or even just tell him how much i love and appreciate him and then he feels all better.
kcongrats on finishing a succesful concert you must be so releived that it is over you are a super woman,bet it is great to be able to spend all your time with your georgous little guy.

we had the best day yesterday,dh has had the whole week off and we have spent sooo much money doing all our gardens,we put new instant turf down at the front and back and made all new garden beds and pavers,we also painted the driveway and fences,he also rendered the outside of the new extention,our house looks completely different and wonderful.we have decided to get chantelle a swing set for xmas,although she is a bit small now they will look great on the new back lawn and the boys will use them until she is a bit bigger,i will get one of those little tike swings for babies and attatch that so she can use it sooner.it has been really really hot here in melb but we have lots of rain and storms coming over the weekend which is good for the new grass i guess,i hate the rain.

relationship with DH - well, witht he first, I was a bit of a mess so my poor DH had to put up with alot. Having a baby does put a strain on some relationships only because you are so protective about your time -because you don;t know when you are going to get some to yourself!! Our DH's can feel a little left out or just helpless also. It does settle and in fact I think that it made my hubbie and I closer.

I had mothers group and that was good! The group seemed to get along quite well so we'll see how that pans out.
Mr Louis has put on another 770g so is now at the grand total of 4.77kg or 10.5lb!!!!!!!! So I think he's caught up a bit!
There was a little 10 day old bubba there that was bigger than Louis when born and looked so tiny!!! I can't believe how much they change in this short amount of time. It's so scary - I need to make sure I take heaps more photos!
Louis has been really good today! I think I'm beginning to work him out again for the time being. I'm sure he'll change again shortly.
Wow Nikki on your house transformation - it sounds great. My dh is a landscape gardener and our front garden is a disaster - hehe. It's the last thing he feels like doing when he gets home!
Have a great weekend! We're off to the PIL's tomorrow. It will actually be good to be away from the house as I won't potter and clean - I'll just kick back and read heaps of magazines!

Relationship - dh and I are going great! He had a whole month off (went back today) so we went through the learning curve together, and we make sure we still cuddle every night before going to sleep no matter how tired we are!
We also went out on Tuesday night for dinner and a movie. I'd love to do that once a month if we can find enough gullible babysitters...
Our parents group doesn't start until the end of Jan which is annoying as I'd like to meet some new mums in my area sooner than that. Oh well. We'll be away for Christmas anyway.
Speaking of which, any progress on the meeting up? (Melbourne and Adelaide) I'm happy to arrange the Adelaide one (and yes Kathryn of course you can come!!!)

Kristie - Yay Mr Louis on the weight gain! =D> Benjamin is becoming quite hefty. He was 6.5kgs on Monday and 61cms long. He's got the double chin thing happening ATM.

Kristie - Louis is doing so well. He was a similar weight born to Emma wasnt he? (she was 2.7kg). She is now 4.1kg. she still hasnt caught up to her cousins birth weight - he was a very big bub.

Emma has had a good day, i had an arvo nap just in case i'm in for another bad night. but fingers crossed i wont!!

Nikki - One word...CUTIE!
Linda - I looked in my baby book, and I started to talk at 6 months. Benjamin so much sounds like he is saying "hello" at times and both of us have heard it. We get the babbling too.
I had a hard time letting Benjamin go to his Aunts for an hour the first time, but now I have every confidence leaving him there.
Benjamin is hyped up today, won't sleep properly. I had a few too many coffees yesterday I think #-o

i had a hard time gatting Emma down last night - I was up until 1am (at least there was some good tv last night). but then she slept beautifully afterwards. i didnt get up till 9am (except for 2 10 minute feeds) and feel pretty good. got the wedding today so im glad i wont be too tired for it!
Linda - I suppose that's why some of us are told we can talk under water or wet cement. :smt043 I can remember my sister started early too, but you can't shut her up either. I at least, know when to stop.

Hi all, sorry I haven't been around much - looks like it's been pretty busy in here anyway! Hope everyone's been going really well. It's great to hear about all your little ones and how you're all going :)
DH and I are doing pretty well with Tamsin (we think - haven't done it before so it's a bit hard to say for sure), but although I feel good, I haven't really felt up to doing much outside the house... I'm trying to make an effort to go out a little bit though. Tamsin is being a bit fussy with her feeding at the moment, and I am really hoping it gets better soon! Other than that she's great, generally pretty happy and definitely starting to be more active and interested in what's happening around her. It's amazing how fast she's changing!
DH and I are booked in to a new parents' group through CYH, but the earliest one they had was in January, so a while off yet unfortunately :(
Donella, I would love to come to a meet-up some time, and Marion sounds good (that's really close for me too). Mondays, Thursdays or Fridays are best for me, but other days are usually fine too just at the moment :D

Jeez it's been a while since I've been online. Feels like I've missed out on heaps. Got to Kangaroo Island yesterday. Mum is over the moon. Now that I'm with Mum and Dad, I can have a rest. DH is still at home, He's having a week off from me (apparently I've been nagging a bit in the last week!!!!). I've decided to stay here for between a week or a week and a half, probably sitting at the computer most of the time because it's so boring here. Mum just wants to babysit.
I've just caought up on what's happening with you guys, so I'll have a sleep now. Sorry no personals today. Too sleepy.

I thought most babies didn't talk until they were about 9-10 months... There may be a dada, mama or ahhh before that but no real words. My nieces and nephews didn't have much to say until then.
There's a great website (babycentre.co.uk) which has a milestone chart telling you what to expect development-wise for the first 12 months.
My parents go home tomorrow. It's been great having an extra pair of helpers, but at the same time it will be nice to have my house back!! No matter how well-intentioned they are they still disrupt my patterns and I get quite short-tempered. You know how sometimes when people try to help and it ends up making more work for you because they don't do it the way you want? Or is that just me?!?

Hi All,
well, I have decided that my Mum and Dad need to move into my house. They came over for dinner last night (sat) and had a quick cuddle and play with Eden. I put her to bed at 5.20 pm and she went straight to sleep, then I thought that she would wake at about 8ish for another feed, I went to bed and she still hadn't woken by 9.pm so I went to sleep. I heard her stirring and got up to feed her and it was 1am!!!!!!!! 8 hours later. I fed her and thought great, now she will be up all night, but she went back to sleep for another 4 hours, got up for another feed at 6 am and went back down again for 3 more hours. Couldn't believe it. Mum says she had a word to her before she went so my parents are being forced to move inwith me and DH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Until she is 3 yrs anyway!!!
Will never happen again, but just had to share what happened. I was very proud of my little Princess!
Can I ask, the mums who talk about 'dreamfeeds' what are they and where did you hear about them.
Thanks Dee for the website, I will have to check it out. I am the opposite with my parents. They live really close and I see my Mum just about every day. We are very alike, so get along extreemly well. Sometimes we step on each others toes, but very rarely. It is good that you will have some space to yurself though, gret also to have the help when needed.
Fenella - great to hear that Tamsin is going well, I know what you mean about going out., I get so tired looking after my three year old and trying to keep him occupied, that the thought of going out sometimes makes me want to rest before I even get out. DH looked after our son today and I went shopping with Eden. She gets so over tired after shopping and can be alitlle hard to settle after being overstimulated. She may still be a little too young to handle all the goings on I think.
Krisvee, glad you enjoyed your Mums group. I love my group and it is great to see the kids grow up together!. Breaks up the week too going to other peoples houses. Those of us who went back to work in my group, went back part time and negotiated our hours so that we could still meet on a Wed!!!! Talk about priorities!!! Still doing it three and a half years later.
Nikki - post some photos of your garden, it sound great. Need some inspiration for my own!! And, yes you have a very beautiful babe - very spunky!! i will have to get clever and figure out how to do photos too!

Fenella, glad to hear all seems to be going well for you. I am going out a lot less than I expected too, it is just a lot harder to 2nd guess when Emma is going to want her next feed etc....
The wedding went well, it was strange to be so focused on something other than Emma for a few hours! I left a bottle of EBM with DH, I was gone 3 hours. She had been asleep for about an hour before I left. By the time I finished my BBs were so sore and full they were hurting!! I got home and Emma hadnt woken at all!!! So DH got it very easy!! Then I just sat down to dinner and.......she woke!! LOL hows that for timing!! But I was relieved cause my BBs really were starting to hurt! In fact, I think I got a blocked duct. After she fed, it was still hard but just in one spot, like a big lump. It felt like a really painful bruise. So I massaged it in the shower and then when she fed on that side again. Today it is much better, so thats good. I am so scared of getting mastitis!

Last night was a tester. Tristan had Grumpyman syndrome again and wouldn't settle. Poo. I thought I'd take him for a walk around the block. Got him in the pram and wheeled him to the end of the driveway and bam, asleep. Cool. Then I thought, should I go back in the house. Then I remembered that Dad had been nagging me all day to go for a walk, so I kept going and walked to my Nanna's house. Nanna and Poppa were happy to see him.
When we got home I had tea and he started screaming again - nightmare!!! Finally settled him though. He slept from about 9:30pm until 1:30am, had a feed and a change, went back to sleep around 2:15am then woke at 7am. Yay.
I don't know if I'll be back during the week or on the weekend Dee and Fenella. I can do next week to meet up with you guys if you like.
Oh Kazzy. Don't you love it when that happens!! The longest Tristan has slept straight for was 7 hours. Can't wait for that to happen again!! Hopfully that's not a long way off.
Bummer about the blocked duct Linda. I haven't had any blockages yet (Touch wood - head!!). Whenever i have a shower, I squeeze milk out each side so they're not so tender. I'm scared of getting mastitis too. My friend had mastitis, a cracked nipple and thrush on her bbs. Too much!! She's ok now.
Went shopping at the local supermarket on Saturday. I priced some Huggies infants just incase i run out of nappies while I'm here. $20 for a pack of 32!!!! Are they joking?!!! I almost had a heart attack. Hopefully the pharmacy has them cheaper. I'm so glad i got nappies before I came over.
I gotta go. Dad's paving and I thought I might give it a go too.

Well, we had a good weekend. It was nice to be out of the house therefore not doing housework! hehe.
The only bad thing was that Louis slept in our room and I had the worst nights sleep ever! He was really restless so we were kept up with his noises - grrr.
Also, he was basically cuddled all day so I had a really bad night last night trying to settle him in his cot. Grrr. The most sleep I got in a row was this morning and it was just over an hour. I'm so not used to it. I think I've been spoiled with his night sleeps until now. I'm hoping we can quickly get him back in his routine. Sometimes I'm ready to throw myself in front of a truck when he doesn't settle! I think the more tired I am the less I can handle - I feel really guilty sometimes if I'm cranky though. Do you guys feel like that sometimes?
I've told dh that from now on people can only cuddle him and play with him when he's awake. Otherwise it's too disruptive. Does that sound wrong???
Melissa - I'm not sure when they speak. Not soon enough! hehe.

Kristie - DOnt feel bad about getting cranky. I too get cranky when I am tired and Jordan wont settle. I think it is just a natural reaction. In these times I wake Dh up and ask him to settle him. I think bubs can pick up we are fed up and therefore wont settle. As DH is more relaxed he seems to settle in couple minutes.
I too think if Jordan is asleep people cannot cuddle. I dont want his sleep interupted as this will only mean that his feeding routine gets thrown out the window.
Bonnie - LOL with the pram. We take Jordan out in pram sometimes if he wont settle. Didnt work the other day. DH said he screamed the entire walk. Oh well, anything is worth a try.
Linda - glad to see that you enjoyed the wedding.
Kazzy - congrats on the great sleep. I am under the beleif now that 4 hrs straight is a god send. anything else would be a bonus. :D
Jordan has been great since we started giving him EBM in a bottle of a night time. We give him a bath and then bottle and he settles really well. He is having more awake time now, normally of an evening after his 6-7pm feed. He generally now stays awake till his next feed.
Mum made dinner for us last night. Was great to have someone cook and clean up afterwards. I dont think we will be knocking back any dinner invites again. It is so nice to be looked after after looking watching Jordan all day. It is a little pampering I think.
Hope you ladies are having a nice monday morning. So far mine has consisted of washing, washing and more washing. I didnt do any on weekend so now suffering for it. Oh well I have all day so cant complain.

Tracey - Yep I agree - I woke dh up 15min early for work today so he could settle him and he did it easily!
I love the pram - Louis pretty much settles every time in it!
If Louis has a feed under 3 hours he never feeds or sleeps as well. I really try and stretch him out now. I know he's definitley not going hungry he's put on so much weight! If he hangs out to 4 hours he always has a big feed and then a big sleep. Dh gives an expressed bottle some nights at around 10.30 (dream feed - did someone ask what that was?? - It just means that you don't wake them for a feed, you just sneakily give it to them with the least amount of fuss) and Louis always sleeps better after that. I think he drinks it easier from the bottle and therefore has more and sleeps longer.
I let Louis stay up until he starts to get cranky and then straight to bed. I love getting lots of smiles though now and sometimes overtire him a little I think.
I'm with you on the washing. It's amazing how quickly it accumulates! Because we went away I've also got to do food shopping. I'll wait until dh comes home to do it though - its so much easier than carting bubba around.
Linda - glad your wedding went well. I have one this Sat (I play in a String Quartet so I only have to do the ceremony) and DH is working so my SIL is going to babysit.
Kristie - I don't let people cuddle Dylan when it's sleep time, he gets too grumpy afterwards.
That said though, he still doesn't really sleep through the day anyway. He has catnaps from 8am till 4pm then finally decides to have a proper sleep again.
Speaking of which - it's my turn to amuse him while dh has a shower... #-o
omg what a rotten last couple of days,FRUSTRATED YES,chantelle has been unbearable,she has got something wrong with her and i cant work it out,she has been absolutly miserable,she has been doing green poo every hour and crying all the time,not sleeping at all and seems to be in real pain.
i bought some baby panadol today and came accross some st6 formula for babies with reflux,she has been doing alot of spews after each feed so i gave in and bought some,i gave her 120 ml today and she had a fairly settled afternoon thank god.i dont know if it was just coincidance or not.i have decided i will give it to her every second feed for now to see if i can tell the difference in her behaivior agianst one another.i definantly dont want to put her on the bottle as i love breast feeding so will just see how i go.i have felt very guilty about getting cranky but i swear i could not just smile through it all the past 24 hours as it was hell.she is asleep at the moment so have found a few minutes to pop in.i hate not knowing what is wrong as i am trying to eliminate the possibilities and it is very tiring.

OMG Nikki - I am having the same problem with Louis - except the poos. He's constantly waking up and won't let us put him down. I have had hardly any sleep. He goes to sleep for a little while in his bouncer if we rock him to sleep. He cries out and sounds like he's in pain. I'm sooo tired. We were both crying this afternoon!
Everyone told me it would start getting easier after 6 weeks and this is way harder than it has ever been.
I really don't know what to do.
ohhh kristie it is awful isnt it,it is supposed to get easier,but maybe there is something wrong with our bunddles maybe we should get them checked for colic or lactose intolerence or other things,it isnt right that they should be always unsettled and in pain.
