Geez Jasmine's talk is just babble!! No real sounds as yet just a kind of one toned roar followed by lots of happy squeals. Had to PMSL kathryn at you not seeing Ashton roll........to be honest I've only ever seen jasmine roll once!LOL the rest of the time I come back into the room and shes rolled. Jasmine loves custard but we haven't given her the choccie one yet. She seems to have settled down again now. She didn't want a bottle last night. Think its cause day care tired her out becuase they just had the 4 days at home.
I'm interviewing someone to do our house cleaning this arvo. yup I can't be bothered with cleaning and working, stuff that! Shes expensive though $35 an hour!!WTF She better work quickly!LMAO
OMG Tegan just noticed that you guys are ttc again in sept!Holy cow girl your brave, a brave brave woman! I just can't do it again, I'd go insane!PMSL
-
OMG @ $35 an hour Kirsty, she better be worth it LOL.
Love
-
Yeh thats what I thought. I started to feel guilty and have second thoughts!LOL But I met her and she was really nice. She has triplets that are in prep this year. Shes coming for an hour tomorrow morning. Not sure if I'll keep it as a regular thing. Seems a bit expensive!
-
hehehe you will have to let us know how she goes.
Love
-
Kirsty: She does sound a little pricey, 25 would be better, but the way i work out stuff is say you pay her 100 dollars a week to clean, then work out your hourly rate into it and it should only work out you are only working a few hours the whole week to pay her, i think its worth it if you think of it that way
Kathryn: LOL at Andrew not being impressed with mum mum
Cooper has said mum mum a few times but hasnt lately, all my boys said mum first, they know whats good for them early lol :)
Tegan: Sounds like Charlie is going great :)
Mason goes to gymbaroo and they are going to put him up a class as they feel he is too advanced for his level and at daycare they are moving him up a room for the same reason, so i am really proud of him, but he is sooo naughty lol, hopefully just a frustrated smart kid maybe! he is definately going to have to do some sport though as he is really good at catching and kicking balls, anyhow sorry for the big boast in here but hard to boast in forum where the other kids are all the same age as Mason lol :)
-
Hello everyone!
Back from inlaws..surprisingly it went much better this time and I actually feel I had a good rest and now find it a bit tiring doing all the childcare all day again!
Back to work next week, but only doing a Tuesday afternoon and a Wednesday morning so shouldn't be too bad. My mum is going to come and stay over, hopefully it won't be too much for her!!
Kirsten is still doing well, her eczema is not too bad at the moment. We keep pushing the solids but she is just not interested and clamps her mouth shut so it seems she is not ready yet. She is still sleeping through, and just eats her usual huge amount of milk during the day!! Not sure what to do as I don't want to force them on her..but I have heard they need more iron and vitamins after 6 months. I think she would eat them if she was needing them though!
Got an appointment next week for her flat head but it seems a lot better than it was and hopefully will continue to improve!
Belinda - Hope Cooper is feeling better. Mason sounds really bright and alert!
Kirsty - Good for you for getting a cleaner. I have found it hard to do the housework while not working so I can't imagine how anyone could do it and work at the same time!
Tegan - Sounds like Charlie is developing really well! You must be looking forward to your 21st in June...can't believe it is 14 years since I was that age!!
Kathryn - Well done on the expressing, I have had 6 months of intense practice and don't get much more than you!!
Melanie - Jack sounds like a real sweetie! It's great Tom is asking for what he wants. Kirsten is getting better at that and sort of "shouts" at us when she wants milk!
Kate - Hope the second visit to the sleep school helps!!
Hope everyone else is doing well!

Charlie cut his first tooth this morning!! I'm so proud of him after all this teething.
Hasn't been a good day for us. Lily is really sick. She had been off her food since yesterday and is really sooky and quiet which is not like her at all. Her temp this morning was 38.4 so i took her to the doctors. Had to get her an x-ray to see if she had pnemonia. Luckly she doesn't and it is just probably a virus. I checked her temp again tonight and it was 39, poor baby. Gave her some more panadol and she's cooled down a bit. I hope she get's better oon because it's the first time she's been sick.
-
Aww, sorry to hear Lily is sick!
Hopefully Charlie will be on good form now that the tooth has appeared though!

Hugs Tegan, I hope Lily is better soon. Well done on the tooth Charlie!
Marion,I think you are right, if Kirsten's not interested in food she doesn't need it. Jack was the same. I got heaps of advice and discovered that many bubs, especially if bfed, don't need iron and stuff until 12 months. They actually absorb more iron from bm than from food anyway. Don't worry, she'll take it when she's ready. Jack was VERY slow taking to solids and is now a champion eater so it works out in the end.
I tried doing shopping with both boys in the pram today. Tom lasted for 10 mins then decided he wanted the sling. That was ok though cause then I could put the bags in his seat and that was actually easier. Jack sat happily in the pram the whole time.
I went to dinner tonight with my ex-neighbour and some of her friends. It was really good but I'm so tired now.

Morning girls
:( @ Lily being sick Tegan. It is hard when it is their first major sickness. Kameron used to quite often get ear infections and his temps would soar but has since grown out of that.
Marion, Kirsten will definitely take food when she wants it. At this stage Ashton only really eats apples. Anything else he might have a couple of teaspoon fulls and that is it. Last night he polished off a whole jar of apples in one sitting. Not looking forward to those nappies today LOL.
I got Ashton weighed yesterday at the chemist and he was 6.06kg. Will have to sort out his baby clothes and bundle all his 0000's up and put them up for sale :( he is starting to push into some 00's now so better sort the clothes out so I can make more room in the wardrobe LOL.
Anyway I better go get sleeping beauty up. I think he is awake. My boobs are about to explode LOL.

Lily is much happier today thank god! She had a bit of a temp this morning of 37.5 but is normal again now.
I woke up sick this morning though! i have a stuffed nose, sore throat, sore ear, headache and stomach ache. i hate being sick.
Charlie's tooth is coming up more today. I'm going to miss his gummy smiles.
I totally forgot to mention too that while i was away i went and got myself a tatoo! Bravest thing i've ever done. It's a rose with purple hearts down one side, looks really good. Pretty much healed up too. It hurt so much getting it done though coz the top of it is on my collar bone, owie!
Kate, glad you got to have a sleep in. YAY on rylee being 6 months! Goes quick hey?
-
Hey where is everyone?
Just came in to say Charlie has said he first word! 'Dada' He says it all the time now. Too cute.
-
Hey all,
Well done Charlie!!
I have been quiet as I was back to work this week! Am only doing one afternoon and one morning, and my mum is staying to look after Kirsten for me..
It's enough as my tailbone and pelvis are still sore (SPD) so sitting at work is rather painful.
Anyway it was nice to see everyone and get out of the house, and it went well for my mum, and Kirsten didn't cry once!
She is doing well, still not keen on the baby rice, although she ate some carrot and sweetcorn more eagerly yesterday. We had a check up for her eczema and they were very pleased with her and said we are using the creams properly, which is good!
More soon, hurts to sit at PC for too long today!

Morning girls.
I am here just. Have a bloody headache this morning that I am trying to shake cause we have to go out to tea tonight. Thankfully andrew knocks off in just over an hour so I might get a small arvo nap. Also have Ashtons injections today at 2.30pm.
I took him to the chemist yesterday and put him on the scales and he was 6.28kg, so up 0.22kg from last week. I will get a proper naked weight today at the injections and find out how long he is.
I don't think teeth are very far away cause he loves chewing on everything in sight.
Anyway Kameron is telling me to make his lunch *sigh* LOL

Got Charlie weighed. He's 8.6kg and 72cm long. Big boofa! Seriously his wrists are bigger than Lily's and that's the bone, no fat or anything. No idea where he's got it from cause none of our family are solid, like that anyway.
Charlie got his first modern cloth nappy in the mail this morning. There is a pic of him wearing it on his site in my sig. Just adorable.
-
Hey girls
Awww to cute Tegan that Charlie has said his first word!!
Well I finally had my gallbladder out yesterday. I got released this morning and would be lying if I said I felt fine! I feel battered and bruised and swollen. Its honestly worse than both c/s's. The cuts themselves are tiny, the longest being about 5cm and my belly button has been cut to shreads! Argh never mind thank god its gone. The doc has given me 2 weeks off, she obviously doesn't have kids!LOL there is no time off with kids. I'm just glad to be home. The morphine still has me sleepy!!
Will catch up a bit more later.........
-
Oh kirsty. Wishing you a speedy recovery !!
Well I am off to lay down for an hour I think before Ashton's appointment. just took a panadine forte to shake this headache.

Back from immunisations and Ashton is 6.2kg going by their scales and 65cm long.

Hi gals. Kirsty, glad to hear that you have finally had your surgery, but sorry to hear that you aren't well. I really hope you recover quickly. Hopefully Corey will be loads of help.
Kate, I can't believe you are still managing on so little sleep. Have you been back to sleep school yet? I hope you get another sleep in this weekend.
Tegan, wow, Charlie is so gorgeous. Jack said dada first too, I am so thrilled Thomas said mama first! I'm glad Lily is better.
Kathryn, wow little Ashton is doing so well after his early start isn't he. I hope your headache has gone away.
Belinda, how are you going?
Emma, are you still out there hun? Pop in and say hi!!
Hi to everyone else.
Well, I have been so busy. Still madly trying to get the house into order with unpacking and putting away, as well as every day washing and cleaning etc. And three days this week I had a child who wouldn't sleep so got very little done. I have been offered some work which I could do from home part time so will see how that pans out but I have to get this house in order first. We are having a birthday party for Glenn / home warming next Saturday so I want it all done before then.
Jack went on his outing with the ILs on Monday and it went well. He had a great time and was very well behaved. They took good care of him. But Tom didn't sleep all day with teething or something so I didn't get any of the stuff done I wanted to.
Jack has settled down heaps now, he even called this place "Jack's home" the other day. Thank goodness that has settled down. I still have trouble getting him down for his day sleep most days but I think once we have the blinds that will fix that problem. His room gets the arvo sun so I don't blame him for having trouble.
Tom is doing really well after a couple of really unsettled days (and no teeth to show for it either). He is so grown up I can't believe it. It is hard to feed him when we are out or someone is in the room as he wants to look at everything. If he does feed, he pulls off and turns around everytime someone speaks LOL. Jack did the same thing at that age. He is still loving his solids too, unlike Jack!
Hopefully soon I'll have more time to hang around here!
-
Tegan: Yah to charlies first word
Kirsty: have a had the same op so hope that you feel better soon, no more attacks will be so worth the pain atm though, i had to have open surgery to get mine out as keyhole didnt go well and it was the worst time of my life, but no more pain eventually was a godsend i know that
Kathryn: Ashton is quiet light compared to Cooper, is he a small build or just cause he was earlier? Cooper is over the 8kgs now, pulled my back out carrying him in sling last week and its been horrible!
Melanie: hope it all comes together for you soon
Cooper is now sitting unaided!! he was sitting up fine with a bit of support but wobbly for awhile, but yesterday he sat there for ages with nothing holding him and was fine so i will call it, sad but third kids need to do things for awhile before i will call it lol
He has said mum a few times here and there, all my boys said mum first, so glad to see he is another one lol :)
Like i said i pulled my back out so have been in pain for a few days with that, then had a mega migraine yesterday so took enough pills to knock myself out, wasnt the best time to be asleep but i couldnt look after kids with a migraine either, luckily Bill is off work cause his back is out too, sounds suss but havent been near him lol, he goes back on tuesday to work so hope its all good by then
Mason got a swing set given to him today and he loves it of course, have to buy a couple of replacement seats though so will ring the company and price them, hopefully not too dear, does anyone know if you can buy them at the shops? playtime by hills set
-
hi everyone!
Kirsty - Get well soon, recovering from surgery is no fun, especially with kids!
Belinda - Hope you feel better soon too, must be hard looking after 3 kids with back pain and a migraine!
Melanie - Sounds like the boys are doing well!
Kathryn- Ashton is growing well, he seems to be the tall slim type like Kirsten!
Kate - Hope you are getting a bit more sleep!
Kirsten was weighed yesterday, the health visitor was a bit concerned as she has only put on 0.2kgs in 4 weeks, she is now 6.8kgs and 66cm tall...tall and skinny ( like I used to be!) So we are to really push the solids, although she is just not interested in them at ALL. I am a bit worried about the slow weight gain though, she has done so well up to now!!! Hope its just a blip, she is VERY active at the moment, the liveliest baby I have ever seen!!!

Marion, I can understand your worry. At about 6 months Jack's growth slowed right down too. He went from about 80th percentile in height and weight to about 10 to 20th. He was crawling and walking early and eating late, compared to other kids who were eating but less mobile. He has caught up again now and was fine. I am sure Kirsten will be fine. Try not to worry too much, it is very normal for bfed babies to plateau in weight and to start solids later. Funnily enough Tom eats solids really well and is still lighter than Jack at the same age.
Kirsty, meant to say about your cleaner, that sounds expensive but it will be well worth it if she does a good job. I don't know how you have managed to work full time and not have a cleaner! I had one when I went back to work and couldn't have managed without one. I was paying about $30 an hour and she was ok but not brilliant.
-
Thanks Melanie,
I don't want to push them too hard on her, as she has gone from just ignoring them, to getting upset when we try to feed them to her, don't want it to turn into a battle every time!

Hey girls
Things are going great........apart from my little sister but thats another story! Jasmine has been so hungry of late. Surgery recovery is not fun with kids! I've lifted them both already, it really cannot be helped! But I'm healing well and Gemma comes ot look at my cuts all the time!LOL When she first saw them she went 'oww sore belly' and rubbed her belly!! So cute. She keeps thinking though that her belly is sore too. But she is being gentle with me, well as gentle as a 19 month old gets.
Will catch up more later........still a bit dizzy and nauseous from sugery.........
-
Hi Girls
Belinda - Ashton is a small built naturally, like his mum and dad LOL, but it is also cause he was a touch prem. She always adjusts it for correct age, (ie 5 mths) but I usually tell her not to bother cause his weight doesn't bother me. Both of the other two boys were heavier at the same age, but at 6 mths I stopped feeding Kameron and put him onto formula where he stacked on the weight quickly. Ashton I am hoping to continue to feed till 12mths.
Anyway I *think* Ashtons god father is calling in on his way home from Whyalla, so he should be close to being here if he is. So I better get our tea sorted out so all I have to do is turn in when he leaves.

Hi, my name is Zoe & my daughter Addison was born on October 27th last year. She is a good baby, generally just waking once a night for a bottle - and she USUALLY sleeps well during the day! She still isn't rolling over a lot, but she's sitting by herself and is learning new 'tricks' each day, so I'm not worried. She has just begun 'talking' which is so cute, I love hearing her rambling off a big story!
My DP is James, we have been together for coming up to 3 years now, and are thinking about starting to TTC#2 next year, and I can't wait, I absolutely loved being pregnant, and being a Mum is the most amazing thing in the world - as I'm sure you can all agree with!
-
Hi Zoe welcome to oct bubs not much happening in hear lately I'm mum to DD #1 Dell 15years DD #2 Cassie and twins Jack & Jessica born 26 oct 06
Jack and Jessica arn't rolling over yet either Jack is nearly thier but Jess isn't interested yet she is still quite happy to watch the world go bye.
Look forward to hearing more about your family soon.
Bye for now Jean.
-
Hi and welcome Zoe!
Hello again Jean, glad you are all doing well!
Will post more soon..Kirsten is hardly napping during day just now so never have much time!

Welcome Zoe, welcome back Jean. Yes, it is quiet in here isn't it!
Tom has woken 3 times in the night the last two nights. Sat I put it down to having people round for DH's birthday and home warming, but then he did it again last night. But I think I know why now - today he started crawling. He is very fast at commando crawling anyway, so he was already very mobile, but this is exciting. It's a month later than Jack crawled but then again Tom was 3.5 weeks early! He is also still going great guns with the solids.
Jack is toilet training atm. He is doing really well. I think he's been ready for quite a while but I haven't been LOL!! He has also started to stutter in the last couple of weeks. I have been feeling guilty that we have caused it by moving and causing him stress. Hopefully it's just a temporary thing. He's still talking really well so I'm going to worry yet, just wait and see what happens.
Thank goodness we finally have broadband again, hopefully I'll be able to chat more again now!
Hi everyone! Where are you all??
-
Hi Kate. I feel for you. I thought of you after my bad nights - they would have been good nights for you! I hope sleep school helps.
-
Kathryn: Fair enough with him being small like mum and dad :) and weights dont bother me much either, i just stand on the scales here now and take my weight away to get theirs, couldnt be bothered weighing them elsewhere lol
Kirsty: Glad to hear you are healing well, is very hard with the two so glad its coming along for you
Kate: yah for sleep school not being far away
welcome to the new girls :)
Melanie: yah to the commando crawling :), poor Cooper will have to start walking here because we cant leave him on the floor much because Mason will come and sit on his back and want him to give him a horsey ride lol
Thinking of that, Mason was trying to teach Cooper to crawl, he was crawling in front of him then looking back at Cooper saying walk walk, poor Cooper had no idea lol
All is well here, Cooper decided last night at 1.30 that singing songs would be good, i got tired so just put him in bed and let him sing himself to sleep, was so funny though, he would sing and then you would here snoring, then his legs would start running wildly then singing again, then snoring, thought make up your mind
otherwise have a new computer finally, had some start up issues with it but all good now thankfully, love that the whole family has there own account on it so they cant touch my stuff and they cannot download anything without admin password, so yah to no more crap in computer!
-
Belinda I know what you mean about the older one helping out its kinda cute sometimes, I have to watch Cassie like a hawk she thinks she pick the twins up by herself.
Not much free time happening hear lately only been to casualty three times in the last four days Sat night Jessica developed a wheeze turns out she has Bronchialitis and was given a dose of steroids to help her breethe, twice the week before I was told it was croup ( BIG JOKE ) Hopefuly Jack wont catch it the leaflet they gave me said it's quite catching can only wait and see I suppose, then back up Sun for the same reason.
On Mon DH decide to do some grinding and got some in his eye so another two hour wait for the Dr to come up and take it out, when I was asked for the medicare card I said to the nurse that I should be earning frequent flyer points.

The two boys are lying on the floor together watching abc kids - how cute! Normally I don't turn the tv on during the day, but recently so many people have talked about their kids watching sesame street and play school so I thought I'd give it a try today. Tom is fascinated with the tv and Jack is fascinated with Tom LOL. Oh, no Jack is bored and is reading a book instead! Kids!
Tom is waking 3 times in the night atm. I think it's bcos when he stirs he gets on his hands and knees and then tries to stand up. EEEEKKK. It's too early for that!!
My little sis is coming over at the end of the month from London. I can't wait. I haven't seen her since before being pg with Jack. It is so exciting that I will see her again and she will get to meet my beautiful little boys.
Kirsty, how are you recovering? How is your little sis going?
Jean, wow you poor thing, what a busy time. I hope everyone is well soon.
Kate, I sent you an email. I don't know how you manage on so little sleep.
Belinda, LOL at not being able to leave Cooper on the floor. Jack is always hugging Tom but very rarely gets too rough so I do leave them together.
-
Hi all,
let me introduce us , my ds Nixon is 6 and a bit months old born 19th oct and me well, i still havent recovered from the mummy fog that descends on us after the birth ( i had a c sec , i had to elelct to have it coz he was stuck in my hip and was too big too move and if i went over due and into labour it would end up a c sec any way... thats what the doc said ! ) any way hes almost crawling and munching down his food... hes not really interested in my boobies anymore and i feel really sad about it ... its partly my fault, i went back to work when he was 3 months coz he was an angel sleeping thru and i had wonderful sleeps .... then about a month into everthing he woke up and cut out ALL his day sleeps and every 3-4 hrs hed wake @ night!! so i got stressed and tired and expressing less and less .... i went on all sorts to get my milk back but this time it did nt work, maybe i didnt try hard enough. it took him 2 months to latch on so i feel my bf career isnt over ,but it is iykwim....
any way just wanted to say hi !!
oh yeah my ticker is wrong ... i have no idea how it happened but he is an oct bub!!!
-
Welcome to the group Lea and Nixon :)
-
Welcome Lea!
I also just went back to work and my supply has dropped a bit as I am tired...Kirsten never latched on so I have been expressing for her since she was born...but I feel she will be properly on solids soon so I am not too worried about it..you did very well to keep trying for 2 months until he latched on and I think you should be pleased you managed to BF Nixon for so long!! I tried for about 4 months but she just would not get the hang of it.
Kirsty - Hope you are continuing to recover. Surgery recovery is never fun and must be harder with kids!
Kathyrn - Ashton definitely sounds tall and slim like Kirsten..the best kind of babies :D
Melanie - Tom is coming on so well! I just met my friend with her 4 month old the other day and she is holding on to her mum's hands and trying to pull herself up..we think that kids with older siblings maybe come on more quickly as they try to copy them! (welll thats my excuse for Kirsten being nowhere near crawling! *hehe*)
Kate - Roll on sleep school!! I have heard of people having wonderful results from it!!
Jean - Hope Jessica and DH are OK, and that you and Jack didn't catch it!!
Kirsten got her first tooth through the other day, while I was at work..my mum rang me to say she was screaming - which just got me worried as I couldn't do anything...and then it broke through, and she was back to her usual happy self!
She had her hospital appointment about her flat head and the Dr didn't seem too worried about it at all, and thinks it will improve..it is 100 times better already and people don't even notice!) ..she is to go back in August.
Her eczema has settled down a lot too.
Still pushing the solids, but it is very slow, she will only take butternut squash and sweet potato, and banana (she has a sweet tooth!). Don't think she is quite ready yet as she still tends to suck on the spoon like its a bottle, and her tongue keeps coming out and pushing it away!!
She is getting weighed tomorrow and hopefully has gained a bit. She appeared to have lost a bit when weighed at the hospital but I think it might just have been a difference in the scales (I hope!!)

Hi,
how many meals a day does every one else try and feed our babies???
also nixon is so cute by saying "ba ba ba ba" all day long.....
and i think i may have made a junkie out of my son, every time he has his feet on a hard surface he starts to jump like hes in a jolly jumper, he does this ALL the time. its getting a bit annoying (omg did i just say that, i just want him to stay still for a bit!!!)
he hasnt been in the jumper for ages i thought hed forget .. but no jump jump jump

I am currently trying to give Kirsten two meals a day....when i say meals I mean a couple of teaspoons though, she is not really keen on solids at all yet!!

Hi all,
It's been a while since I've been here. How is everyone?
Gemma and Teagan are doing really well. My little fatty bumba's (Gemma is anyway) weighing in at 7.8kgs and Teagan 7.3kgs. LOL They are only shorties as well 65cm. They are having 3 meals now. About 3 teaspoons for breakfast of Farex, 1/2 jar of apples or similar for lunch & 1tbs mashed potato or sweet potato for dinner. No wonder they weigh so much. I only added the 3rd meal yesterday because they were finishing their whole bottles throughout the day, they want it so how can I deny them? Nothing much else happening development wise, just rolling both ways and learing things a lot more, ie pushing buttons on leap frog toys etc. Babies are so smart. Things are getting tougher because now they know when I leave the room, get all excited when I walk past them so you can't ignore how cute they are, can stay awake for as long as they want and get overtired etc. But on the other hand they are finding each other hilarious. Like yesterday Gemma thought Teagan was so funny rolling over and over and then could kick the TV unit. Thank goodness for video cameras. Or they blow rasberries at each other which is also funny to each other. These are the joyous times with having twins. Sometimes I feel like rocking in a corner when they are both going off of an evening because they are over-tired. I've been in tears a few times these past weeks because of the stress of it, but I know it doesn't last. Got to take the good with the bad.
How is everyone else?
