    Hi all,

Kathryn - Ashton sounds so similar to Kirsten! She is nowhere near sitting up either, although she is trying to crawl a bit (but not getting anywhere!)

Melanie - Work IS tiring isn't it! Sounds like Tom is doing so well with his standing! Glad you had a nice time with your sister.

Jean - Hope the physio can help Jessica - we are waiting for Kirstens appointment to come through (its been two months!) - we were worried for a long time as she would only roll onto one side but now she is slowly starting to roll both ways. I do think a difficult birth can cause them all sorts of problems, the poor things. Its good she is sitting up though!

Lea - Sounds like Nixon is developing really well. I'm sure they can do something about his eyes....and I hope the sleep school works for you!

Belinda - Glad Cooper is doing well, sounds like he is close to crawling!

Tegan - Charlie sounds like an amazing little boy!

Kirsten is doing well, she has started sleeping through from 730-630 again *phew* and is eating very well..last night she had spag bol with mashed cheese on top, with spinach and parsnip on the side, then loads of apple and yoghurt for dinner! She doesn't eat huge amounts though, and is still skinny, but she takes what she needs I'm sure!! She is only having 6-700ml of milk a day and as much solids as she likes, so I don't think she is filling up on milk! She loves her new highchair!

I am not doing too badly either, bit exhausted, and just applied for a second job as we need the money, which won't help!!

what sort of highchair did you get .... i just loooove shopping for baby stuff .. i have the fisher price rainforrest one ..its so groovy... but the cover is freezing cold in the morning and nix just shivvers in it .....

We actually got given a highchair by my cousin, who had finished with it..its a Mamas and Papas Prima Pappa one..not sure if you can get them over there though!

It's not brand new but Kirsten seems to really like it so we are all happy!

I'm not around much these days, I'm just so busy. But we are all doing well.

Tom cut his two top front teeth together on Friday - we had 3 awful days and nights with those. His first two teeth (the bottom front ones) came through right on 5 months with no fuss at all. But Jack always had more trouble with the top ones too. Hopefully none of the others will be so bad.

I was amazed on the weekend we went to a 3 yo birthday party. There's a little boy who was due on the same day as Tom, but actually is 2 weeks younger. He was put on the floor in the lounge room with all the party going on around him and he fell asleep. Then after he woke up, he stayed there, just happily lying on his tummy. I couldn't believe it. Neither of my boys would do that after about 3 months. I had forgotten what it's like having a non-mobile baby. I have to say I am quite jealous. I was just catching up on the posts and it looks like some of you are lucky enough to have that too. All I can say is enjoy it while you can. DH and I had to hold Tom for the whole party. He wouldn't go to sleep in the porta cot and if we put him down he crawled into mischief within a minute or two. Everyone at the party had a theory that active babies in-utero are active out. It's been true for both of mine. What are other peoples' experiences?

Sorry for no personals. Maybe next time!

    Hi all,

I am only new to this, so i hope you don't mind me jumping in...

Poppy is a little gem! She doesn't sleep through but i'm only up for 10mins between 2 and 3am so i can't complain. I read that a few of you dropped solids off a bit... i might give that a go!
She sits, crawls, pulls herself up on everything and is almost standing without holding on. She loves crawling after our cat who plays with her and just loves her!!

She is a little one tho! She is in the 10% for height and weight, no get shock there as i'm only 5 foot 2 and 45kgs when i fell pg.

My only problem is getting her to sleep with out screaming the house down at nights, and then maybe sleeping thru the night. I dream feed her at around 10-10.30pm other wise i find i'm up twice a night. So i feed as i go to bed the she only wakes for her 2.30amish feed. Then she is straight back to sleep until 6.30 on the dot!!!

Anyways, i look forward to reading up more on what everyone is doing.

    Lele

P.S thinking of falling pg again... scared and excited and a little sad at a neg PT on the weekend.

    Oh MelanieR,
Poppy was VERY active inside me!!!! VERY!! Even my OB was shocked at how much she moved and trying to get her to stay still for ultrasounds... She almost never stopped and she doesn't now either! I can't put her down anywhere while we are out either.

    Hi and welcome Lele!

Poppy sounds like a little livewire! She looks very cute in the pic too!

Kirsten isn't crawling YET..although not far off I think... but I think she will be just as lively, when I am out she throws herself around in my arms WANTING to crawl around and be free!!

    Thanks Marion!

Your little Kirsten looks a sweetie too!!! By the sounds of it she'll be crawling around before you know it! Then you wont know yourself! I spent the day yesterday running after the little rabbit! i'd turn my back for a second and she was off!

I have to tell everyone... Dh arrived home from work last night and she was sitting on the floor playing. As soon as Poppy saw him the arms and leg's were waving and she was yelling "DADADADADAD" She then got up an crawled straight to him and gave him a great big hug! She's never crawled to him like that before and she's not really one to sit still in your arms to hug you. He had a few tears! It was just so sweet!

I hope everyone one on the east coast (of Australia) is safe after the last lot of storms last night and today

Kate, i know how bad it is with all of you being sick. We're all sick here too! Jacob and Lily both have bronchitis, Charlie has a virus plus an ear infection and i have a sinus infection and my asthma is pretty bad at the moment too. Not very good being sick and looking after cranky kids.

Got some professional photos of Charlie today. He dressed up as a chef and a priate. So cute! They took heaps of photos because he was so happy and excited. i'm sure they're going to turn out great.

Charlie now has 7 teeth, 3 on the bottm and 4 on the top. another bottom one is just about through too.

Yesterday was a year since my mum passed away. So was quite a sad day for me. Still finding it really hard to accept..

It's been pretty bad weather here lately. not sure if anyone saw on the news about the bad flooding and storms. It's still pretty flooded in some places around here. I'm just glad our suburb is on a hill so we didnt get caught in it.

My 21st b'day is next Tuesday too. Looking forward to that. MIL has something planned for me so we're going up there for a week or so.

Well that's my update. We'll be getting the net back on soon at home so i should be around more often then.

    Take care.

Sorry for being lazy - I have no time so I've copied this from my other baby buddies thread:
I have to say a big WOO HOO for Tom - he slept for 8 hours last night. It's the first time in months, and probably only the 5th time or so ever! Touch wood that it's the start of things to come!!

I had a call from Jack's day care on Friday. They have a spot for Tom one day a week from July 9. Unfortunately it's not the same day as Jack, but it is my other work day (I work Mon & Thurs atm). And they are pretty sure Jack will able to start on Mondays too from August (he is going up to the next room then and also hopefully going to 2 days a week). In the meantime it means 4 trips to kindy a week (2 for Tom on Monday and 2 for Jack on Thurs), but at least it is my work days. So MIL will just look after Jack on Mon and Tom on Thurs. It's great atm as I am working from home, so can still feed Thomas, but I will have to go to a client site at some stage. I'm sad that Tom is going to day care as I will see less of him while I am still working from home, but I also think it's easier if they start day care before 12 months. Plus MIL is going away for 3 weeks in Sep, so if both boys have two kindy days by then I won't be stuck while she is away.

Jack's questions phase is getting worse - Friday he asked me how the sun makes the sky purple.

    Hi Girls

Well when the rest of the family are over their various coughs and colds we are going to get a second opinion on Ashton's bottom. Mum babysat last night and she swears it is too big and too solid feeling to be a skin tag. So I will goto my normal GP when I get a chance. will give it a week though

Lea - We have no fireplace, no carpet either and just lately it has been getting down to minus 1 and we are in Adelaide's suburbs !! We do have a small oil column heater and that has gone 24/7 for a week I reckon. stupid thing is we have all been sick since having it on all the time cause of the heat change from indoors/outdoors. So more bloody hassle than what it is worth.

Anyway I am off to catch up on some sleep. I hope. The other two boys are being feral
