he pulls himself up on everything and is at the stage where he tries to stand up on his own ... i just expect him to up and toddle , like come on we do it all day .. its not that hard ....

but i guess it is for them .. hehe..

but he going well and thankfully sleeping better and wev'e finally cut out the 2am bottle ....
although he woke last night we left him in his cot to talk to him self ... which he did for about 3 hrs ..

he is really tired today ... we all are ... dh has a cold and kept coughing all night and making flemmy noises ..... and I was up talking on the big white telelphone .....

now my mum is looking after nix and he has a slight temp and pulling at his ear .... here we go again...

    have a good day everyone

Thanks Rachel..I'm sure she will be fine..she has an appt with the paediatrician tomorrow, is just a follow up as she had a flat head on one side for a while, which has fixed itself (phew) so hopefully he will set our minds at rest even more!! I hope she won't need any tests, I don't think so, and the physio didn't! I definitely am glad she is stationary at the moment, as I have badly sprained my knee and thigh and slipped a disk in my back, which is taking ages to heal, probably because of all the lifting!

Our friends little boy didn't get any teeth until 18 months, then they all came in at once, I work at a dentist's and have seen quite a few kids Angus' age with no teeth yet..I'm sure they are lurking there!

Kathryn - hope the teeth have made their appearance without too much pain by now!!

Lea - Glad Nixon is back to his old self, despite the teething, hope you all feel better soon! I'm sure he will just up and walk one day..I did that apparently, no crawling or pulling up, just got up and was away..I was 11 months old I think..so Kirsten obviously takes after her daddy!!

mmack.. hope you get better soon ....

its like me and dh have tickets to a show .. every night we sit on the couch watching nixon, to see what he'll do next ....

we cant take our eyes off him and get really excited when he does something and behave like some footy team has scored a try right in the last 5 secs.....

but he prob wont walk if we are watching ... *sigh* guess i'll have to leave him unattended then ... NOT

Marion – I hope the paed appointment was good and that everything is fine (I’m sure it was). Geez your body sounds like it needs a good lie down for a week or two. Oh well, forget about that it’s not going to happen! I am in no hurry for teeth as I still BF heaps (although I know teeth shouldn’t stop BF, the reality is that sometimes they do).

Lea – we loving watching Angus too. From the moment he came out I have just loved staring at him. I just can’t believe how in love with him I am. That is a very cute pic of Nixon BTW.

Kathryn – I hope Mr Grumpy Pants is happier today.

Thanks Rachel. The appointment was fine, he said she was perfect and coming on well, he said some babies are just slower than others to get to crawling and walking. He did say he thought she had slightly lower muscle tone so has to work harder than others to do things, but that he thought she would grow out of it, especially since we are seeing improvements all the time. So he has discharged her, but the physio is to keep an eye on her. It was the best we could hope for really!!!

I will get a lie down today, as her granny is taking her out, I will so enjoy it!!

Hay guys sorry to go MIA lately. I accidently deleted my reminder thingies so thought no one was replying hahahaha.

Well Levi is doing well we have tooth number 7 nearly through and i dont think number 8 will be too far away either. He is still cruising the furniture. and he has worked out how to throw things. A bit of his play area is tilled and he gets his littla plastic ball and throws it so it bounces around the tiles then goes and gets it and throws it again. pretty funny to watch.

I have started oraginsing his 1st birthday this week. I cant believe he is 10 months old and only 2 months till he is the bug 1. Gees where has the year gone???

Well gotta go the little bean is awake.

Wow, where did all this chatter come from? There were no posts for a while so I forgot to keep checking up in here, and now I've missed heaps LOL!! Well, welcome to the newies and good to hear that things are going well Kat, Marion and Lea.

Tom took his first steps this week. Jack was walking at 9 1/2 months, so I'm relieved Thomas hasn't done that. I have mixed feelings about this - I really am excited that he's doing it, but given that he's probably my last, it's a bit sad too. He seems so grown up now.

Lea, don't worry about Nixon being a big baby. Charlie got weighed last week and was 10.6kg. I think it's good because if they get sick(which charlie has been a lot lately) they have enough fat on them if they dont eat much for a while. Better than having a real light baby and them being sicker because they're not eating.

Thanks Genevieve - we are both feeling better and she is still fine so I am pretty hopeful she hasn't caught it!!

Nixon sounds great, and they are all different...my friends baby was enormous and now is a slim toddler!

Kirsten is only 8.2kgs, I get embarrassed as she is always the SKINNIEST baby in a room!!

That's great Tom is walking, but I understand you are torn about it Melanie.

Well done Nixon on the kisses, that sounds so cute! I kiss Kirsten all the time but she is always too busy looking at stuff to take much notice!!!

I think Kirsten is concentrating on her speaking rather than the physical stuff, she now "speaks" all the time and has a few words. Actually she also just started slightly lifting her head and shoulders up off the floor, and is now starting to catch herself and push back up to sitting when she falls over from a sitting position so she is coming along, just at her own slow pace!! She can also get her bottom up off the floor but not her front half but she is getting there!!

Well Levi was weighed about a week or so ago and weighed.....wait for it....11.6kgs Hes not a fat bubba he is tall. But everyone always comments on how bighe is. When im out they ask how old he is and when i tell them they always say wow hes a big boy then. Had had this almost from birth but he was born 8 and a half pounds which i thought was pretty normal size really. But as you have all said would rather a bit of meat on them.
Wow thats great that Tom is walking. Levi has let go of the couch a couple of times and not realised he is standing there on his own but when he realises he sits down hahahaha. Im in no hurry for Levi to be walking. He has been crawling since he was 5 and a half months so i want to keep some of my sanity for a bit longer please hehehehe

So what is everyone doing for Fathers Day this Sunday??? We arent doing anything cause DH is away for it but I got Levi to do a painting for him which we gave to DH before he left and he loved it. Levi loved doing the painting too. I was a bit unsure how he would go but it all worked out well. Here are some pics

    And the finished master piece....

Marion – I’m very glad the paed appointment went well. That’s great that Kirsten has made progress recently. Yay! Also great to hear that you and your DH are better and that DD seems to have escaped the bug.

Lea – It seems that Nixon is in good company here. I haven’t had Angus weighed since he was 7 months but he was 10.2kg then. He started crawling at 8 months and he hasn’t put much weight on since so he’s probably right there with Nixon.

Genevieve – Wow Levi is a fatty boom-bah! I agree with Tegan, better to be fatter than thin at this stage in their lives, gives them a bit of a buffer if they’re sick.

Melanie – Wow what early walkers you have there.

Angus finally got his very first tooth the other day. A bottom one. I am so proud (isn’t that silly, like I have any control of when he gets his teeth). He is fine, it hasn’t bothered him at all. I guess all babies are different, some really struggle with teething and others hardly notice.

We are having a relos day for father’s day tomorrow. Angus has all his grandparents and all his great-grandparents too (yes all 8 of them). He is a very lucky boy and there will be a whole lotta love out there tomorrow.

Yeah Levi has just got tooth #8. The first 2 teeth were the best cause we had no problems at all with them didnt even know he was teething hahahaha but the rest havent been that bad just a bit whingy and grumpy but the good old Nurofen does the trick

Well Hope you are all having a great Fathers Day and dads love all their gifts.
