Julia - maybe it has something to do with the fact that she has just started sucking her fist!

Julia - maybe it has something to do with the fact that she has just started sucking her fist!
Kellie - could be....I think Max is just a goobie boy though!!
at this age their saliva production starts properly, so yep, dribble-central round here too. some say it's a precursor to teething but i'm guessing i've still got a good 2 months before that happens.
Hi girls!
Gee weez a new thread already! We talk way too much:p
Kim:hugs: I wish there was something I could do to help! Just remember we are all different! There are some days when I dont even want to look at Myles cause I am so exhausted and emotionally drained, I know its not the same but just know I kinda understand:) We loved our SS gift! Will have to take a pic of Myles in the outfit before he gets too big! I am saving the body shop stuff for a special occasion, if there ever is one hehe!
Saffi Gee i cant stand in laws! You poor thing! Your doing a great job, L is doing perfectly fine! As you said she will miss out not you!
Myles doesnt have a routine as such! He wakes up between 5 and 6 then he just fits in with what I have to do! He is always bathed and reasdy for bed at about 5pm but its still takes a while for him to go down! We are slowly getting there!
Hi to everyone else! See the brissy girls tomorrow! Cant wait x
Maddi dribbles heaps, She's also a hand sucker & that makes it 10 times worse.
Viv love the pic of James he's such a cutie.
Who does everyone's baby look like?
Maddi is a spiting image of me as a baby & first thing every says when they see us is how she looks like me.
Oh dribbling I forgot to say Myles is a dribbler! He has been dribbling for ages now and sucking his fists and hands! We can see the top of a tooth which is kinda scary!
Viv love you ticker pic too cute!
No dribble here....thank god! Chelsea never became one til about 5/6 months old and she used to get a rash from it.
Amber i hope u liked ur gift....i so had no idea what to get!!
Jasmine is a double of Craig....where has Chelsea is me all over!
lachlan is a mini craig, i barely got a look in:)
lachlan dribbles a lil bit but not too much
Kellie - Kieran isn't much of a dribbler yet, but Joel was a shocker. He used to soak through all his tops so I had to put bibs on him all the time. He too used to get rashes from it. I hope Kieran doesn't get that bad!
Mo - Yep, Maddi looks like you! Kieran is a mini-daddy, I got ripped off majorly!
Thanks for all your kind words about my gran everyone xx
Julia - i think you asked me about the mastitis in the last thread and the difference between that and a blocked duct? well i'm not that sure exactly what the difference is to be honest. With the mastitis i got a really sore boob, then red marks appeared and i pretty much knew that was the sign that you have mastitis. Dr confirmed it and i started on antibiotics straight away.
Unfortunatley my other boob has just got sore this afternoon so will now keep an eye on it over night to see if it gets worse, i'm hoping it doesn't turn into mastitis again....
I've just put Hayley down after a feed, nice book read and in her new wrap and shes now sooking.... i want to let her go for a few mins to see if she'll settle herself cause i know she is tired..
been a few mins now so going in
Myles is a good mixture of both of us! but Dh says he looks like my dad! Same hair(none) and everything! cheeky boy!
Hayley looks like her dad and his family - i've seen baby photos of DH and his sisters and Hayley looks exactly the same
Kim - I'm not entirely sure what to say to you other than we are all here for you and our thoughts are with you. A lot of people go through tough times and I'm a firm believer that you do what you need to do to get thru them and come out the otherside - if thats AD, then do what you need.
Sending you hugs...
Tahlia is exactly like her dad! Thats the 1st thing everyone says when they meet her! My mum even calls her 'little Brendan'
brisbane girls on fb, i created a group called 'pizza capers, worlds best pizzas?' if you have ever tried them, i know you would have loved them so join please:)
i worked with them for 8 years and my brother in law is one of the owners.(thats how i met craig:) an arranged marriage haha)
Micky - Hyperdome is Logan Hyperdome, on the Motorway between Brisbane and the Gold Coast. We have been meeting there as it is half way point for the Brissy and Gold Coast girls. Another time we met at Garden City (Mt Gravatt).
L looks so much like DH did at that age. I will bring the photo along tomorrow so you can see what I mean. Some people say L looks like me, but I can't see it. He does have long eyelashes so I think he gets that from me! Hopefully L will get my ability to read maps!
I know I should try to wake L up earlier and do a late evening feed, but love that we have our evenings to ourselves and can eat dinner at a reasonable time. I will give it a go and see what happens. His day sleeps are usually 60 - 90 minutes. We work on a 90min feed, play, sleep cycle most days and I have been really strict in putting him down the minute he starts to show tired signs. Sometimes poor DH doesn't get home from work in time and L has already gone down for the evening. Its just not worth keeping him up even another 30 mins or so.
Anyway, might head off to bed and get some sleep before the night shift begins.
Looking forward to the morning.
Kate - Ive never heard of them? Where are they??
Nerida - I can definately see you in Lachlan. Although I havent seen your DH but there is definately at least a bit of ya in there! LOL.
Chels dribbles a little bit but not heaps. Liam never dribbled. I cant really remember him having dribbly periods at all luckily. Ummmmm, I think Chels is probably more so me, and so is Liam. Dunno, we get people all the time saying she is exactly like Anth and then other people say she is exactly me. I guess she is a mix too.
Looking forward to tomorrow girls!
Awwwww. Brissy girls,........... Just been talking to Cath, I dont think she can make it tomorrow. Hasnt been well today. She said if she feels a little better she might try to pop over for an hour or so, but otherwise she'll make the next one.
pizza capers is all over brisbane. where do you live again becky???
Im Boronia Height Kate, near Browns Plains..... Mmmmmmm, feeling like pizza now.........
So I have lost track, how many are going tomorrow?
i think 7. we will soon find out.
springfield or jindalee would probably be closest to you. you should try them. expensive but so worth it:)
Geez, They are both so far away from me. LOL. But dont worry, promise, one day when I venture in that direction, I will try them!
becky closest pizza capers would be underwood, near eight mile plains school!
So we are still on for today girls! I will probably be there early cause Im heading to myer to get some more nursing bras cause there 25% off woot!
see you soon girls x
Morning everyone...although you probably wont be reading this till the arvo after your little catch up to day...lucky you!
Everyone says that Max looks just like DH, which he does, but he has little things in him that are just like me. He has my dark features, as DH was MEGGA blonde, and he has DH's green eyes (yay!) Max more takes after me in the 'chunk' department!
I think I got past the mastitis thing. After the sore boob with the red blotch, I kept feeding from it (even though Max didn't like that one for a couple of days, weird) and now it's cleared up. So lucky!
While we are asking questions of eachother, here is another? (sorry if it's been done before) How did you choose your little ones name? Did you have loads picked out, or did you know from day dot what you would call him/her?
Max (Maxwell) - When I found out I was preggo, I called my bump MiniMax....as my maiden name (although it wasn't my 'maiden' name at the time!!) is Maxwell....and it just stuck. It really suits him too....AND my dad is totally chuffed as I am the 1st of only 2 daughters so it's a nice way to carry on my family name. Max's middle name is Benjamin, like his daddy.
Anyhoo...I'm off...hope you all have a fun day out and about
getting back to the mast v blocked duct thing. the main difference is the fever and flu-like feeling that you only get once it's developed into infective mastitis. blocked ducts are just sore at the spot but you don't feel utterly clagged.
once chills or aches have set in - antibiotics for you!
as for who the boy looks like... daddy-o of course. we couldn't tell who he looked like at birth but his eyes are getting very pointy like his dads. pointy almonds i call them. big, wide, pointy almonds. his mouth is like mine, so he's a little hybrid. his cheekiness is from both of us, i believe.
boomba - how cute is myles there in the sig. baby tummy pics r my fave.
boo catherine about today. nice day to stay home though, i suppose.
the little d00d is asleep at the mo,has thrown his routine out the window. pffft. what routine? all i do is three-hourly feeds during the day. sometimes they start at 5am but that's subject to change.
the other night i tried to dreamfeed him at 10pm and couldn't wake him up at all. i rubbed his tummy, picked him up, put him to the boob, bopped him in the face with nip and he didn't even stir. i put him back to bed and he was none the wiser. bah! when he wants to sleep there's nothing to stop him, not even the almighty booby.
lmao viv, i wake lachlan up every night and only once was he not interested. i couldnt do anything, nappy change, talk to him everything, nothing worked lol. try again, oyu may suceed:)
Julia - Name wise DH wanted to carry on his initials RPJ cause he didn't want to carry on Ricky and Peter James came from my father who passed away in 2001 but the name Peter covers DH's middle name, my step father, FIL, and my dad and James cover my brother, my dad and DH's grandfathers middle name so we have got abit of each generation covered!!
Viv - Is James still sleeping through the night for you?? How much is he weighing at the moment??
Rhys is a dead ringer of his father!! I have nothing at all!! I have looked so hard for something to be like me and I have come up with his eye lashes and finger nails...Lol...I looked very hard indeed!!
Can't remember who got the tattoo but when do we get to see some piccies!! I have my tattoo picked out to get done once I finish breastfeeding cause I just don't want to risk it getting infected and going through my milk!!
Just about to start to get ready for our meet up. L is asleep atm, so I will get myself ready, get the car loaded up and then get him up, do a quick feed and we'll be off. Talk about needing to be so organised.
Julia - we initially liked the name Jack but just couldn't see it with our surname. We just threw names out there with the help of a name book and Lachlan was one we both agreed on. He has 2 middle names as both DH and I have 2. In my family it is a tradition to have a family name as a middle name whereas with DH his second middle name was to stop his inititals being a swear word: A R S became A R J S. William was just a name that we liked and sounded middle name like and James is one of DH's middle names so sort of keeping up my family tradition. We even considered the number of syllables in the name to ensure that it sounded good. We decided on the name by around 20 weeks so had a lot of time to get used to it. In the womb L's nickname was Nubby as I read somewhere that referred to the embryo as having a nub for limbs.
L has started dribbling lots too. He is also sucking his fist a lot.
Our closest Pizza Capers is at Toowong. We have eaten there a few times and yes the pizzas are amazing.
Best start to get ready. See you all soon.
The name Tahlia came from looking through the birth notices in the paper... we both liked it! And the middle name of Rose is after my mum
Viv - earlier on, when I had to wake Tahlia for night feeds, I used to touch her face with a wet cotton ball... it woke her 'nearly' every time
Tahlia was really hard to settle last night... think it might have been a combination of the heat and her needles... didn't get her down till after midnight, but then she didnt wake until 8am, so I guess its not too bad. I wish the cool change would hurry up... I'm over this 40 degree heat!
Julia, The name Maddison just came to me & we both loved it. Her middle name Joy comes from my aunty who passed away suddenly 4 years ago.
Kellie I'm so over this heat as-well.
Maddi is a tummy sleeper & every night before i goto bed i make sure she's on her back.
Now she has a habit of rolling on to her tummy during the night.
Think i may have to start using the anti roll thingy
Hope all you Brissie ladies are having a great time! There are so many of you!!
I meant to say, Ange - we missed you on Sunday! Hope everything was OK? I was so looking forward to meeting you & "Falguni"! Hopefully you can come to the next meet up.
Julia - We really struggled picking a name. We struggled picking Joel's too, I don't like many boys names! Well, I do, but I didn't want one that was too common ATM. We both finally agreed on Kieran and I still love it! We would have loved to have named him Byron, but our surname starts with a "B" so we thought it would sound a bit silly. Heath, his middle name is my mum's maiden name and I wanted to include my side of the family somehow. Max is such a cute name!
Kieran's waking a bit too early from his naps today I think because it is so hot so I am feeding frequently to help him rehydrate.
Our dishwasher isn't working today :( I am getting a service person out on Tuesday, but now I have to hand wash a full dishwasher load, ughhhh....
Have a great day everyone!
Hi everyone,
I havnt been online much, so I hope all the mummies, daddies and babies are all well. We have been super busy! DH is considering having another bub - only i wish it was him having to go through another pregnancy!! hehehe. I love babies, i really didnt enjoy being pregnant. Emma is off to Kinder this month (OMG!) and i will be at uni end of feb. Dreadding putting toby n care, put i guess these are things we just have to do.
Have a nice day,
Love
Bec
Julia - We came up with a boys and girls name that we both liked and Caitlyn was about the 50 millionth suggestion! Her middle name Louise comes from my dad constantly calling my bump "mary louise". don't know where he got that from but we both liked it. Plus all our female parents dont like their names and wouldnt wish them on a little one (Jan, Jennifer and Shirley). Dad didnt know Caitlyn was to be a girl.....he jsut said right from day dot that he was going to be having a granddaughter. Clever my dad!!
Oh and Caitlyn looks like her dad all over. She got my frown tho - DH says I constantly frown even when there is nothing to frown about. Maybe cause Im the thinker of the family?! She definitely got his eyelashes - nice and long and thick, his body (she is too long for 000 onesies and he is 6ft 3 I am 5ft 2)and his fingers and toes - all long! I am not sure how much she weighs right now but I will try and get in contact with the MCHN out here so I can finally get her weighed.
Oh and she got DH's pout too!!
Sorry all you guys have got the heat. I think I am used to it being over 40 degrees out here and this nice change that we have right now (rain and not even 28 degrees) has us actualyl turning off the AC and just having the fans on.
Anyway - am off to grab something to eat before I go and grab lil miss from d/care.
I have Jordan and Jackson.. The name Jordan came from a girl I used to work with - she mentioned it one day and from that day on Jordan was going to be Jordan whether a boy or a girl (spelt Jordyn if a girl)... Jackson was a last minute name we picked out, the second bub is harder to name because it has to go with bub number 1 - do you agree? We kind of like the idea of the 2 J's as well. I saw a baby photo of me today and Jackson is a spitting image of me OMG, I thought he looked like his dad - how wrong am I!!! LOL
We have a Pizza Capers in Ipswich and YUMMO. I have eaten there a few times and you can't go past their delicious pizzas.
Hope you all had a great day today catching up, it sounds like so much fun and there are quite a few brizzy girls so I look forward to the next one. xxoo
Hi all, sorry beenr eal busy lots to catch up on.
Claire- i was planning to go on monday but a big spanner was thrown in the works today. Lori (tupperware Mgr) has a family emergency in England and booked a flight today leaves tomorrow! she just handed me all her parties in the next few weeks (10 of them) so i have to see how many i can do and what others can i really dont think i can make it. i wanted to see you again b4 u left, but if i cannot have a very safe trip, take lots of pics and if u get a chance to go online update us when you can!
Tyron looks like me as a baby, as did Nixon. but as a boy Nixon looks alot like DH so i assume Ty will too.
Our names we chose to keep the initals the same as dh & i.
so Nixon got my initals NMP and Tyron got Trents TJP.
Nixon = Nics Son and also has the same name meaning as nicole (victory of the people) His middle name is my fathers Milton (was also my way of having something from my side of the fam seeings as i loose my last name!)
Tyron i found the name while searching T names, the more common name is Tyrone but we preffered tyron (pronounced Ty- RON) James is dh middle name + my dads middle name + dh grandfathers name.
anyway i must go to bed i am nakkered. good night all
ohh one last update tyron rolled from back to tummy yesterday!! looks so cute he gets his arm stuck sometimes though!
Hello hello!
Just checking in. I'm soooo tired so it is a quick one. Personals tomorrow I promise!
KIM - I just saw somewhere else that you lived in Camden before moving to Campbelltown. I was born in Camden and lived in Campbelltown all my life until I met (my now) hubby and moved to Forster 4yrs ago! So there you go! :)
I took Tiera for her first swim today. She just loves floating in the water. When we got home she was poot! :) Slept well this afternoon.
Have a great night everyone!
Hey all!!

MiniMax - Yeah we started off with a list of names we both liked. Then when we found out we were having a girl, pretty soon after we decided on Chelsea Monique Amber, although we did have a back up just in case she really didnt look like a Chelsea. LOL
Amelia - Twas me who got the tattoo. I'll post some pics soon I promise. What do you plan to get and where? I tell you , it is addictive.... Im already starting to plan my next one ......... :)
Bec - Are you thinking about another bub soon? Thats exciting! It would be nice if the male could do the hard work ths time though hey?
Becky - I am planning to get a baby buddha with a blue blanket around him!! That is what the surgeon's called him when he was born and that name has stuck with him cause he is a chubba bubba!! I will be getting it about the size of my hand and tossing up whether to get it on the left side of my lower back/butt right on the pant line or on my front same place!! Not sure as yet!!
Off pram shopping today cause the manufactures relised that the pram was r00ted and was manufacture's fault and not mine!! I think we will be getting a Phil & Ted!! Well that is what I have planned in mind but open for anything else.
Have a good day ladies!!
PS: Rhys is almost rollingfrom back to front but his arm gets in the way and gets stuck on his side!! xxoo
Hi All,
MiniMax - Amara was 3.6kg and 52cm when born. They are 3 months today!!!!!
Amara is from the Spanish Amarinta, meaning unfading, so she is our unfading Rose :)
Amara is dribble centrala nd maximum fist sucking. I have started using bibs, since I make them I have billions and I have made her some really cute and funky ones.
Have a good weekend,
3 Months Old Today!!! Yay!
(even though my ticker doesn't say so...stupid thing - OK changed it now!!!)
Question for you all.
For those who have bub in a cradle or like in their room, when are you tinking of putting bub iin their own room? AMara is hitting the sides when she escapes her wrap but has plenty of length left in the cradle. But when we were away recently she seemed to sleep better in the port a cot, maybe she likes more room???? SIDS says 6 months is best in your room, but don't know if we will make that? I am guessing sleeping in a port a cot all the time is not good?
