Trish great news, hope when you re-open the business runs like that all the time.
Also not keen on walking up that hill again at the gardens,i remember you saying something about another way around Trish do we park at different gates, or is it just longer walk?
I had 1 iron infusion & 3 transfusions, i can really feel the difference today.
-
Mo - I WISH the biz would run like that all the time LOL! I know I was just really lucky this time. Where did you park last time? We parked on Anderson St near the girls grammer school, when you walk in the gates, head far right and take the path that runs parallel with Anderson St, it then turns left at the bottom towards the cafe. It is less steep than the path that goes through the middle. I'm so glad you are feeling better today. I had those nasty iron infusions after Joel was born, I am still bruised and sore from them 3 years later!

Hello Yummy Mummies!
Just thought I would pop in and say hi!... sorry I have been completely useless at keeping up with this thread and how all your gorgeous babies are going. And of course I have left it too long to go through and read through everything to catch-up.
I can't believe "Cath", but hey if she is going to be so petty etc etc then good riddance to her I say!
Kim - glad to see you are still on here and chatting to the girls :)!
We had the most insane silly season ever, besides the fact that it was K's first Christmas we also had DH's 30th birthday and my sister got married on NYE... was completely insane!!
Kaylee had her 3.5-month check last week and weighed in at 6.72kg (so not far off Jas, Kim!); length 62.5cm and head circ 40.7cm.
If you wanna see more pics of K visit her sight in my sig, haven't added any since Chrissy mind you.
Hope you and your bubs are all doing well!!

Hey all
Sooooooooo tired. L decided he was going to wake up every 2 hours overnight. Up at 1.15am, 3.30, and 5.15! Hope this is a growth spurt or something and not a permanent routine! Still trying to establish the sleep thru so this has set us back. GRRRRRRR
I can personally recommend Weight Watchers. I lost 13kg with them just before got pg. I only have 3 kg to go to get back to my goal weight. DH wants me to start doing WW meals again - not for me but because he has put on a bit of weight while I was pg. Did anyone elses DH/DP put on weight while you were pg?
I only just realised that this weekend is a special annisversary us. 12 months since L was conceived. I know strange date to remember, but it marks the end of 2.5 years of trying so is pretty significant for us. Can't believe how far we've come in 1 year.
DH and I have been talking about adding another little one to our family. He is really keen on it being a little girl so probably will start trying sometime this year. AF has yet to return so who knows how long we'll have to wait to get started!
What are everyone's plans for Australia Day? We don't have anything planned but have pulled a lamb roast out of the freezer so think we'll do a BBQ. Might get some pav shells and make mini pavs. For WW girls - you can make a good dessert by getting a mini pav shell, top with fruit and fruche. Yum!
Mo - glad to hear you are feeling better.
Have a good day all.
-
Morning girls.
Sorry to hear about the issues with Catherine, she was a bit of a fiesty one wasn't she? LOL.
We had a bit of a shocker in general yesterday - 'they' say babies have one unsettled day a week so I'm putting it down to that! Took the little man 2 hours to go off to sleep last night!! Yikes! He just wanted to grizzle so I'd go in to him and then he was all smiling and chatty - would not stop talking!! Was very cute but very frustrating too.
He only woke twice overnight though so that was good, woke up at 5.30am, fed and down again till 7.30am and then he actually managed to stay awake for 1.5 hours today! Was all smiling and talking at the 1 hour mark so thought I'd let him go a bit longer. Put him down at 9am went to sleep without a peep and he just got up! He is usually pretty unsettled in the morning so this is a great start for us.
Saffi - I understand marking the anniversary of L's conception - it is a big deal when you've been waiting so long for it! I thought I remembered you from the LTTTC threads, but wasn't sure if it was you or I was confusing you with someone else or whether you were one of the IVF girls or not! I'd love to have another one but that remains to be seen. I haven't got AF yet either, hoping not to for a few months yet! 6 months with DD and to be honest, after my surgeries etc I'm not even sure if I will ovulate again or what will happen with my cycles. Can i ask why you are trying to get Lachlan to sleep through? Just want some extra sleep? I'm not even attempting it yet, with DS waking so often for feeds, I know he's not ready. I started trying to resettle instead of feeding when DD was 4 months, so will wait a while yet I think. Would be happy with the 10pm and the 5am and skipping the 2/3am though!
Trish - what sort of a business do you have?
Mo - doesn't sound like a very pleasant experience, but i'm glad you're feeling better today.
WW - LOVE it! Have lost weight with it before, first time 19kg, second time only 7kg and then went back again after I had DD and lost 7kg again. I've lost most of my baby weight, but would like to get down to my goal weight, which is about 4-6kg below what I am now. Would love to do WW but can't really justify the $19 a week at this stage. I have all the books at home and know how to do it on my own, it's just the motivation I guess. Want to be looking great for my 30th in May though so will get serious about it soon. And YES, DH did put on a lot of weight while I was prg - he's trying to lose it again now!
-
Yep i know what path your talking about, thanks for the tip Trish :D
Did we decide on a time? 11:30am like last time?
Thanks everyone :D
Willow & Saffi hope you both have a better night tonight.
Peta- Kaylee is adorable looks like she had a great Christmas.
Kim-Wow Jasmine is a little porka can't believe she weighs more than Maddi, you must make a great bottle :)
Hope everything goes well today
-
Peta - Lovely to see you in here! Sounds like you have been very busy!
Saffi - Ugh, what a yuck night for you! Fingers crossed it is just growth spurt. We don't have any Australia Day plans yet. DH has been so busy all week we've hardly seen each other to discuss it!
Willow - I had a bit of a shocker day with Kieran too, must have been the day for it! I have a pre-loved baby goods business I run from home. I have a little shop attached to my house with all my stock and I have an online store. I am the only online pre-loved baby goods store in Australia! I try and work things around family first so it will be a bit tricky this year with a little bub.
Mo - 11:30 worked well, I'm happy with that if Kellie & Kim are too!
-
Willow - yes, I've been hanging around for a while. The sleeping through - I guess it is really because I hate having to get up 2 or 3 times a night. DH doesn't get up to him at all even if just to settle him, so it all comes down to me. We recently introdued a late evening feed in the hope that it will get him past 2am when he was previously waking up. He was sleeping from 6/7pmish to at least midnight or even later so he is capable of doing a long sleep. It is just programming him to do it at a more convenient time for me. Selfish, I know.
Trish - thanks for the very kind offer of the manual pump and sorry didn't get back to you earlier. You are very sweet for offering. I have spoken to Avent and they are sending up a new motor which should arrive early next week. In the meantime I can (just) survive on manual mode.
-
Does anyone else's baby blow raspberries yet?
Maddi will lay there stick her tongue & to try and blow raspberries.
it's soooo cute i laugh every time, She'll stop & laugh with me then I'll blow them back she'll laugh/smile them blow some more back to me.
It creates so much spit tho need a bib close by to clean her up lol.
-
Saffi - I know what you mean about getting up a few times a night. Caitlyn used to wake up every 2-3 hours during the night and need settling each time. Oh and like yours, my DH doesnt get up at all during the night! Now I guess I am lucky..she sleeps (most nights) from 6 pm until 2-230 and then until 5 am. So thats not bad. I didnt do anything either - well I initiated more of a routine for her. Bath, massage, feed, sleep. Seems to work ok so far.
I can't think of anything else I wanted to say - well theres plenty but am letting the subject stay dead!
Mo- Caitlyn looks like she is trying to blow raspberries...she sits in her swing and I blow raspberries at her and she smiles, and then sticks her tongue out - lots of drool - more than usual anyway!- but no sound yet. I am yet to hear her giggle/laugh though. The ladies at daycare say that she is laughing - this is why I feel like carp leaving her with someone else all day! I feel like they are raising her sometimes. guilt guilt guilt
Hope you are all having a good day. mwah
-
I can't believe my little girl is 4 months today, she's growing up way too fast.
Rebecca i can only imagine how hard it must be sometimes, she'll probably laugh when you least expect her to :)
Yesterday at the hospital all the nurse were fussing over Maddi, Maddi was talking to them, blowing raspberries, smiling & laughing then all of the sudden she just squeal in excitement scared all nurse & made 2 of them jump lol
I love when she does that catches everyone off guard.
-
Okay ladies, this is just stupid. All of you making little comments about Catherine's choice in how she wants to spent her spare time and who she wants to speak too!! It feels like I am back in highschool!! I am the youngest in this group only being 20 and I think you are all acting like a bunch of 4 year olds!!
God....Just grow up and act your ages and not your shoes sizes!!
Hope you all have a wonderful time raising your children and creating your own little families!!
xxoo

Wow this thread really knows how to turn nothing into something.
Guess we just lost another octo-mum.
-
I must not come in here often enough! I have absolutely no idea what is going on....and I think I would like to leave it that way! I thought the point of this forum was to support one another and to keep up with one another. Can't it stay that way??? I love coming here and chatting and catching up with everyone! I havent said anything "little thing" about Cath's decision - in fact I am still not too clear on what that choice was - a bit blonde maybe???
-
Rebecca - Don't worry, there are just some probs going on in Facebook land that aren't being discussed in here, hopefully it can stay that way!
Mo - It's definitely something over nothing, I hope we can all move on now! :)
I think all of you girls are wonderful and I appreciate all the fun and support in here. That's all I'd like to say about it all :D
-
Trish & Rebecca i agree with you both, i get a lot of support in here & i really appreciate it :D
-
I'm a newbie here so I have no idea what's going on but I think you are all great girls and very supportive of each other and that's all I'm going to say about it (whatever it is! LOL) ;)
Trish - your store sounds great!! Can you pm me the website details? (am I allowed to ask that?? I don't know if that's against BB rules...)
-
LOL Kate- i am a nutter when you said MCHN i thought you meant you wee going to get a job as a Maternal & Child health nurse lol!!
WW- Kim u can do it online. for me though i need the extra motivation so go to meetings. It is an expense but if i didnt do this i porb would waste it on extra food or something else anyway!
Amelia- sorry you feel that way and are also choosing to leave. I think people have a right to leave if they want and i also think ppl have a right to say if they are offended aswell. Im lost at the moment because ive been put on the black list like others and have NFI why or what the reason behind it all is, its very odd and i guess everyone is taken back by it and wondering what the heck is going on.
Ive also learnt with forums people will come and go. Ive been a part of BB for 3yrs now and seen things blow out of proportion before and people make the decision to leave. It will always happen we are all very different individulas and will always have different opinions. Unfortunatley when it comes to parenting we some times cannot see anothers point of view or agree with their style. It does not make it wrong and i have learnt from being on BB that there is no ONE way to this lifelong journey of parenthood. we do what we do because we love our children and want what is best for them.
-
Most of musta have Pee'd off Amelia too cos we deleted form her FB too. Once a follower...always a follwer....anyone else wanna go? or delete each other.
I know who my real and true mates are...so thanks guys :)
I shall return later with personals...need to go pick up my fairy child (aka Chelsea :P)
-
Sounds like I am a lucky one! Kaylee has been pretty much sleeping through since before Christmas - YAY!... She usually does at least 10-hours a night, occassionally less, and sometimes even occassionally more, with a couple of 12-hours stints to boot. I feel so lucky!
Hhhmmm... Nic I think you pretty much hit the nail on the head with what you have said here and on Facebook. I must admit I was a bit baffled as had no idea what was going on, bit of a Facebook dummy here lol! So didn't realise she had deleted us, so the message didn't make any sense to me. And I respect her decision etc etc... but I think she could have done it in a nicer/kinder way. I didn't even take the time to respond to the thread on Facebook as didn't feel it warranted a response.
As for the girls not involved with what is happening on Facebook, believe me you ain't missing anything except some silly waste of time *****ing and offending people where it just ain't necessary... seriously I wouldn't worry!!
It is sad that this is happened, but oh, well... it's all done now. Let's move on. And no need to get carried away with it!
-
Wow what an interesting night. LOL
And Amelia, that was way out of line! I know you are still one of the 'privileged' ones to be on Cath's FaceBook, but she started all this crap with her original petty comment, so you can keep your thoughts to yourself! I think all of the ladies on here have a right to say what they think. I love our bunch of ladies on here, we all offer each other amazing support and we DO NOT need anybody's negativity on here. That is all I have to say on the 'Catherine' saga. Lets all forget it ever happened!
Peta - Yup, I think we all need to move on now too (I had my vent.LOL) I must be a lucky one too! CHels has been a great sleeper from about 5 weeks too!
Trish - Congrats on your huge sale! It always makes ya happy when you realise you have a bit of spare money hey??
Nerida - Yeah WW is great, and your idea of dessert sounds soooooo yummy!!
Mo - So glad you are feeling a bit better now!!
And Kim you better be back more often now!!!
Ok, off to have some lunch (yes, lunch - 3.28), had so much running around to do today, and time just got away from me. So hungry now....... Talk soon. XXX
-

Kim - I'm a real Facebook dummy - how do you know they have deleted you??

Happy 4-months MJ!

Hey Julia! I'm in Perth :)!

Hi Everyone. I am just going to poke my nose in here and ask that you please keep any disputes that are happening OFF BellyBelly out of these forums. The comments that have been made in here are, quite frankly, rather childish and I would hate to think that a potential new member of this group would be put off by reading the comments from some of you. If anyone has any issues with what I have just said, please feel free to PM or email me sherie@bellybelly.com.au.
Also in regards to your store ~Trish~, it is fine to PM those who've asked for it, but please do not post the link in the open forums. We do have Market Place Membership available for those with businesses, so you may want to think about taking it up - that way your business link will be in your signature for anyone to access.
-
Back again
Peta - its lovely to see an updated photo of Kaylee. She is such a cutie. Can't believe how much she has grown (as have they all).
Re Facebook - I just can't seem to work out how to use it. So if you guys invite me to join something or open something and I haven't responded its because I don't know how! LOL I am still trying to get used to online forums. Honestly just reading these posts keeps me pretty busy.
Had a lovely afternoon updating my photo frames with pictures of L.
Question for second/third time mums - do you take less photos/video of your second child than you did your first?
Funny DH story. I asked him to get some Infant huggies nappies while he was out. He bought some but only afterwards realised he bought crawler size. So on the way home dropped in to the shops to get the right size. He walks in with 2 packs of nappies - both crawler size! :cryinglaugh: Men!
-
Aww saffi at least he tried! lol
-
LOL at your DH Saffi! I take just as many if not more photos of Kieran, I think because I know how fast they grow up and I don't want to forget anything!
Amber - Hope you have a great time camping! Let us know what camping with a bub is like!!
Sherie - Thanks for stepping in :). Re: my business, I have never posted a link to my site in the open forums. I understand the rules and I certainly don't come on here to sell stuff! I hope it's OK to mention my biz, not in a plugging kind of way, but just in a general discussion kind of way if anyone asks, it is a big part of my life. I will definitely be taking up MPM when I start the biz up again in Feb ;)
-
We know you haven't Trish and we really appreciate that :)
-
Thanks heaps Sherie for stepping in! I think things were getting personal!
Anyway - had nothing but dramas getting Caitlyn to sleep tonight. She has only just gone down! Of course we had planned dinner around her usual bed time and she holds us up an extra hour! Selfish little thing...how dare she expect us to play with her while we want to eat...ha ha ha Im joking of course. DH couldnt wait to play with her! He doesnt get to spend much time with her during the week and Sunday is normally his only day to play so when she stays up a bit later than usual he is happy to keep her occupied!
Hopefully that means she will stay asleep uintil 330- huh fat chance!!
Anyway I am gonna head off and spend some much needed time with DH while I can. He goes away in 2 weeks and while only away for a week - its the first time we have been apart at night since C was born (except for that night he had a big bender and didnt get home till 430am)
Have a great night all - lots of hugs!
MWAH
-
Right i have returned :)
Mo....glad your doing bit better today...pouch on all the transfusions..u poor chooky. I dunno wats in the formula i use but its damn good stuff....Chelsea was on the same...well nearly. Jas has Gold....Chels just had plain Karicare...maybe thats the difference!! LOL
Amber...have a fab time camping..and im sure Myles will be a gem!
Rebecca i hope Caitlyn has a better night for you....its hard when they wont go down. My nights are awesome for both girls atm..touchwood is stays that way!
Becky ill be back now and then.....i have a few things im waiting on seeing before i post a lot more ;)
Trish i had a looovely day...went shopping alllll day with a GF...got the girls some new clothes...love the fashion thats out atm!! Hot stuff!
Saffi that souns so long Craig the other night. Sent him to buy nappie and i put 6+kg for Jasmine (came home with crawler 6-11kg...so was ok...but id normally get infant) and 10+ for Chelsea (and came home with walker 13-18kg..and id normally get toddler 10-15kg)....but both fit ok so i didnt mind.... :)
As for taking pics....yup...i take less of Jasmine then i did of Chelsea....but i think cos they changed at different ages. Like At this age Chelsea was a veeeery smiley baby and done diff things...so id always take pics....but i still take heaps of Jasmine..but just not every movement she makes!!
Id just like to add....i have been told that alot have been making comments about me...i have no idea if its true...but please...if u have something to say...PM me..or email...i would like to know wat u feel....for most of this group i love ya's cos its all supportive..but i guess people will be people and ur entitled to opinions...but dont say stuff behind my back :)
I do hope its not true...but tis cool..im tough..i can handle it :P
Peta Kaylee is a princess...so damn gorgeous!!
-
I think we are all over it now anyway arent we?
Nerida - LOL. Thats a funny story about your DH! Poor thing. He was determined to get you those crawlers. LOL
I think unfortunately, I must admit that I too take less photos of Chels. You just really dont have as much time. And that is by far not saying that I dont take photos. Its just that with Liam I honestly think I took about 50 photos a day nearly (no exaggeration!! Thank god for digital!) With Chels I probably only take a few a day. Its sad, but its just the way it is. :(
Anyway, not much else new with me. We had NoodleBox for tea. Anyone had it? Yummo. They give you noodles in these tiny little boxes and you think, "Geez, their not very big", but we got it home and put it on a plate and woahhhhh! 1 box coulda fed both of us! HUGE! Anyway, rambling - sorry. Hope everyone had a great night!
