Sorry to hear Trish and Willow of your bad nights sleep :(
yeah I know what you guys mean. After bragging about my little ones long sleeps last night she was up at 1 and wouldnt settle until around 230 then up again at 430. I bought her back to bed with me and DH rolls over and asks what time is it. Then C kicked and grunted and got her arm out of her wrap and I got up to rewrap her and it was 515. Rewrapped her took her back to bed - started crying so I got up again. DH asks AGAIN what time is it - 530. He goes back to sleep for another hour. Then when he gets up he says...why didnt you wake me up? You need your sleep too! No ***** sherlock. I am sick with a cold - yesterday was my birthday....what a carppy day it was!! didnt get ANY presents! Mind you - I did tell DH that I would rather spend our money (what little we have after d/c bill!) on Caitlyn. So have noone to blame but myself. He did cook dinner. Mind you I still have all the dishes to wash!
Oh....and if I didnt have something that i HAD to do at work today - I would be taking the day off sick. So I hope no one at work gives me grief today because after 2 nights of little sleep.....I tyhink I will let them have it!
Anyway - hope you all have a good day!
Trish - they just don't think sometimes do they? They don't even realise how frustrating they are
Rebecca - you poor thing having to cook your own birthday dinner..... hope things cheer up for you today
Hope those of you who had bad nights last night have better ones tonight!
Put Tahlia down at about 11 last night, and she is still asleep! Just checked on her and she is starting to wriggle, so I better go and have my breaky before she wakes!
Talk later!
Blah - another crappy morning sleep. 40 mins and I couldn't resettle him.
I swear some days I am just so over it....
**ETA: not over being a mum or over my beautiful bub, just this sleeping crap.
Hi all,
Hope you are all having a great day.
Rebecca - so sorry to hear that C is giving you a tough time at night. I know what you mean about having a good sleeper and then it changing. Sometimes I am so grateful that Ethan sleeps ok at night and then the next night he wakes up every hour. Don't know if this is what you want to do or not but here is what I do to encouage Ethan to sleep through the night. After reading "Save our sleep" I decided to give Ethan a dream feed at 10 o'clock. Instead of waking him up and changing his nappy I bottle feed him while he is mostly asleep. He goes to bed at 7.30 and then at 10 I leave him in his wrap and nappy, gently pick him up and pop the bottle straight in. He feeds for a little while and when he is done I place him on my shoulder and gently rub his back to let any wind out. Because he is mostly asleep he doesn't swallow much air. Then I put him back in bed. Most nights he doesn't evern open an eye. He then sleeps till 6am. Most nights he wakes up for the dummy between 4.30 and 5 but I just pop it in and goes straight back to sleep. I'm not trying to tell you what to do but it might help.
Ok after my huge message I will go. Have a great day.
 Willow! Don't worry, I feel the same way a lot! Kieran only did 50 minutes this morning, but he tends to not sleep long for his first nap so I am getting used to it now. He has been asleep 1.5 hours and counting now, fingers crossed I get another hour out of him!
Kellie - It's funny when they sleep for so long, you go in to check that they are still breathing! Then they stir because you check on them and then you get annoyed at yourself!
Rebecca - Sorry you had a bad night too . At least you aren't alone! I can't believe your DH didn't buy you a present despite what you said! Guys are far to literal sometimes!! I hope your family send you some pressies.
Kim - Thanks for thinking of me! I hope tonight is better. How are the gorgeous girls going?
Viv - 7 hours between feeds is pretty impressive!
Saffi - Good luck finding a new home! Do you want to live in the same area as you are now?
Well, I reckon I know how Kieran injured his shoulder. After racking my brain I think it was from lifting him out of his bath seat. It is really awkward to lift the chubba out of it and I recall one time recently that he cried really hard after I lifted him out of it. Last night I put about an inch of water in our bath and just lay him in it rather than putting him in the seat. He LOVED it! He kicked and smiled non-stop so I think I'll just do that from now on. I still feel bad that I didn't realise I had hurt him :(. It's hard to lift a fat, wet, squirmy baby out of one of those seats!
I really think the chiro has helped, K woke up after 40 minutes during his current nap and I was able to resettle him, he hasn't resettled for a week now so I am soooo relieved!
Maddi also had a crappy night, wouldn't go down to till 11pm woke at 3am went back down 20mins later, then woke at 6am I had an 8:30 appointment so there was any point going back to sleep.
I saw my specialist this morning, not really sure why my blood count dropped so low, just have to eat healthier, more iron enriched foods & keep taking my iron tablets.
Morning all
Didn't have a bad night as such but was up at 2am also. Just a dummy crisis and once popped back in he went back to sleep. Up at 5.30am, down again by 6.30 and then up at 8 when I loaded him into the car to take DH to work. Sorry to hear bubs out there and their mums had a rough night.
It was raining hard here and the roads are a nightmare. After dropping DH at work L was really worked up and practically screaming. I couldn't face at least a 30 min trip home with him howling the whole time. So found a carpark, pulled out the boob and fed him. With him fed and asleep in the capsule the trip home was more bearable but still long.
Trish - we would love to stay in the area. We have been here for 7 years and really love it. First we need to see what the agents come back with.
Rebecca - hope you feel better soon. Meant to say yesterday your kittens are so cute. Can't believe they are all different colours.
Off to have my hair done this afternoon. Haven't had it done since before L was born. Our good friend is babysitting. It will be the first time anyone other than DH or I have looked after him. She is then coming back on Friday night to babysit while we go out for my birthday dinner.
Anyway, best be off. More later.
Ahh Trish, bless you! You are so much like me it's unbelievable! I am so glad I found you here! On the bad days it makes me feel so much better knowing that I'm not the only one going through this!:
Kieran only did 50 minutes this morning, but he tends to not sleep long for his first nap so I am getting used to it now....K woke up after 40 minutes during his current nap and I was able to resettle him, he hasn't resettled for a week now so I am soooo relieved!
I think I'm a bit down in the dumps the last few days because DD is starting preschool. I think I underestimated the affect it would have on me. Just one more change, and I'm kinda sick of adjusting at this point! I'm a Taurus, I don't like change LOL.
LOL Willow! It's nice to know we are not alone! I have to say I'm glad to have found you too! Has your DD already started preschool this week? If so, how did she go? We have Joel's first 3yo kinder session on Friday, but it's only for 1 hour and the parent's stay for that one while we learn the ropes. He starts officially on his own next Tuesday and I feel sick with worry! I'm not a Taurus, but I hate change lol!
Saffi - Which day is your birthday? Is it tomorrow? Ooh, you're so lucky getting your hair done today, enjoy!
Trish - she starts tomorrow. Tomorrow is a short day, only from 9am till 1pm on Thursdays, then she goes on Fridays from 9am to 3pm.
The other thing that's stressing me out is that the drop off and pick up times will be right in the middle of L's sleeps - GREAT! As if we don't have enough to contend with. I will see how we go for a few weeks but if it's causing too much disruption for L, we will drop to one day for 6 months and pick up another day later on when he is older and more adaptable. Me being the stress head I am, it's not worth it.
Saffi - enjoy getting your hair done. I've had mine done twice since bub arrived, just don't have much time anymore!
We had a good night sleep wise. Last feed at 8pm...Jas never woke til 630am...but i was to tired to get uo and she went back to sleep until 730. Feed both girls at 8...both back to bed at 930...ME back to bed then too. i only woke up at 1230....Chelsea still sleeping and ive just heard Jasmine start talking in bed now!!!
They must have been tired :)
Willow i have the same problem with pick ups during a sleep. Jasmine normally has a feed around 330pm then a nap around 4...but i have to get Chels from FDC at 430, so leave here at 415. On those days I delay the feed til 4 and she sleeps in the car on the way to get Chels...and then i get Craig from work....so she gets a good 90 min round trip nap!
I've spent way too much money today, Ordered some things off Kim & Trish.
Thanks again Trish really appreciate it hope it's not too much to bring with you :D
Also brought Maddi some toys since she's really getting into them lately, Even brought her a little pair of Sunglasses, she looks so cool with them lol, will have to take a pic & post it.
Questions for the mums with older kids.
What kinda highchair do you recommend, would like to lay-by/buy one soon so would love some opinions.
We have a Steelcraft Monet hi/low chair. Got it from Big W and love it!
You can spending money Mo..thats fine by me!! ;)
Since my last post..Chelsea is awake now too! 3.5 hours of sleep for both girls is great! WooHoo!
Kieran just had a 3 hour nap!!!! Wooohoooo!!! Hooray for the chiro is all I can say :D
Willow - Wow, that is a big day for your DD! Joel has two sessions a week, one is 2 hours, the other is 2.5 hours, I don't think he'd cope any longer because he has never really been away from me and gets a bit clingy. Good luck tomorrow, let us know how it goes!
Kim - Wow your girls are such good sleepers!
Mo - It won't be a prob bringing the stuff, hopefully we can park near each other so I can just give it to you that way. I'll get back to you soon re: the total cost ;) . Re: highchairs, I really liked using a hi/lo chair. It was easy to feed Joel at my height and when he got older we could push it up to the table without the tray so he could eat with us.
Trish - I know, I'm thinking of dropping back to one day already! Might see how she goes and then decide whether to keep her there for the shorter day or the longer one. Thing is, I think she's going to love it. She's never been away from home either, but I feel sorry for her only having me to play with day in, day out, especially when L takes up so much of my time at the moment.
Woo hoo on the 3 hour sleep! L hasn't done 3 hours for a while now, 2.5hr is as good as it gets around here.
Kim - it would be OK if it were a long enough trip in the car cause he would sleep, but it's only 5 mins there and 5 back. I'll just have to play it by ear and see how we go. I could get MIL to pick her up one day, that way it's one less disrupted sleep.
I was thinking...is it within walking distance Willow?? Maybe L would be able to nap in the pram.
If i could walk to FDC i would....but tad to far!
Trish the girls have always been good sleepers...but thats an extra looong sleep for Chelsea...now she has double the energy!!
I have thought of that Kim, it's a good walk for me, but might be a bit far for DD to walk home, especially in this heat. I don't have a toddler seat or anything on the pram for her.
Definitely on cooler days I could try.
Wow! Everyone's babies are such good sleepers! Mateo has now cut out a day time sleep and has one in the morning for about 1/2hr - 1hr and then one big one in the arvey, between 1 1/2 - 2 1/2 hrs. His night time sleeps are going great guns lately! Yey for me! :-) Last night he went to bed at 9pm, woke at 5:30am for a feed, then straight back to sleep till 8am this morning.
Left M for the first time today in child care at the gym - he was fantastic! Had a little nap and then just watched all the kids play. So good to do some exercise.
Mo - know what you mean about spending too much money!! I just wanna buy him everything - and at the worste time when you're not working too. ;-)
xoxo
HEY Saff - Ive been trying to PM you but it said you have too many messages in your Inbox to allow anymore. Im gonna have to cancel tomorrow! (So sorry!), but Liam seems to be coming down with a cold, and I think it would be best if I keep him home tomorrow. Im sorry! :( Will do coffee ASAP!! If ya clear your inbox, I'll send ya my message anyway! I hope you have FANTASTIC birthday Friday!
Everyone else - Hugs, will be back later!
Happy Birthday Nerida for Friday - Hope Lachie is a gem and you are spoilt rotten as all Mummies should be!! :-)
OMG i just seen a Due Oct 2008 thread....that seems like only yesterday we were all joining the Oct 2007 buddies!!
Time has flown....we are all so lucky to have our Princes' and Princess's :D
Hi all,
I have been meaning to ask - how are you all going with returning to your pre-pregnancy sizes? I have been trying to lose weight since Ethan was only 5 weeks old (doctors orders) and have gained a little. I am eating a balanced diet (only 1200 calories a day) and walking for an hour every day. I don't know what else to do. Feeling very down about it. Any suggestions would be great.
Becky - no problems. Best to keep the little ones at home than cart them around and them getting grumpy and sicker. Sorry about the inbox:doh: cleared now!
Trish - yes, the big 34 on Friday
Mo - we got an Activa high chair that converts into toddler table and chair. It was recommended on the Choice website. Love the idea of L being able to use something for years. Choice recently did a review of high chairs so worth checking out.
Alz - I've got about 3kg to go to get back to my weight watchers goal. Having a bit of trouble shifting those last kilos. Haven't been trying to lose weight mind u. Shape tho is different, bust is bigger than it was and tummy flabbier (was flabby to start with).
Kim - hard to believe it has been a year. Most of us wouldn't have known yet, but still. Unless someone makes an announcement soon, doubt any of us will have a new bub before 2009.
Hair looks great and nice to have the time to myself. L behaved himself for the sitter.
*wipes sleep from eyes* Morning all (imagine me saying that in a groggy voice),
Another shocker last night! This time both boys were the culprits. I swear they are out to get me!
9pm - Joel falls out of bed. I go in to fix him up, give him a cuddle, etc...He cries about 10 minutes later so I go in there and have a chat with him, read him another book. Good, he's back off to sleep. Go to bed after Kieran is fed.
12:30am - I hear Joel crying (he NEVER does that usually), I go in there, he wants a drink - he has one next to his bed, I have no idea why he needs me to pass it to him.
1:30am - Kieran wakes up. I try re-settling him for 45 minutes then think "I could have just fed him and been back in bed already", so I fed him. He goes back to sleep.
3:30am - "help mummy, help mummy" - Joel's doona is on the floor and he needs me to put it back on.
5:15am - Kieran hungry again. Feed him, but he won't settle until 6am.
7:30am - Joel is up for the day. Blurghhh...
I think I'll be trying something new tonight. I think I'll wake Kieran at 9pm, give him a bath then feed him (normally that's his dream feed). Maybe he'll sleep longer? Who knows!
Saffi - Glad you're happy with your hair! I haven't had mine done since the week before Kieran was born. Don't think I will be getting it done anytime soon either!
alz - I still have 6kg to go, but if I lose another 4 I will be happy.
Kim - Wow a year has flown hasn't it?! I would have only JUST been pg this time last year. I remember when you joined the late Oct group!!
Becky - Was it you who lost 4kg recently? If so congratulations!!!
Star - You're a good girl going to the gym!
Willow - Good luck sending your DD to preschool today! I'll be thinking of you!
Happy 3 months to Kieran, Tahlia and (misskate's) Lachlan!!!
Saffi - glad to hear your happy with your new hairdo! I'm off to the hairdressers on Friday next week for the 1st time since Tahlia was born and I can't wait!
Kim - a due Oct 08 thread! Wow! This past year has flown! Been the best year of my life!:D
Trish - sorry to hear you had another shocker!
I fought to get Tahlia to sleep last night, ended up taking her for a drive, so she finally went down about 11, but didn't wake until 9! She is now playing happily on her play mat
Happy 3 months to Kieran, Tahlia and Lachlan!!! Woo Hoo!
Trish - Kieran is 3 months old today!!! Woohoo!!!
Happy 3 months to Tahlia and Lachlan as well!! Must have been the day to be born hey?
Alz- I havent lost any weight at all! Am very disappointed in myself but I just havent seemed to be able to find the time to do any exercise. Once it starts to cool down a bit I will pop C in her pram and take her to daycare . According to the Bureau of Met it is 28 degrees here and its only 9 o'clock! Just too hot to take the little one out for a while. I havent changed my diet at all although I must say in the last week or so I have had no appetite at all but I think thats just been the lead up to this DAMN COLD!!
Caitlyn had another good sleep last night. She went down at 7 and slept till 230. Then back down at 315 and not up again until 645. Quite happy with that. I slept from 730 until then too!!! I do thank you for your suggestion of waking her around 10 or something for a feed Alz. I have thought about that and am trying to discuss it with DH - not that it affects him anyway cause he doesnt get up during the night. I was going to give it a go when he went away to TAFE but all his TAFE dates have changed and he isnt going away until March now....instead of Saturday!
Anyway - this head cold is getting the better of me -have taken the day off today and still put C in daycare - they would charge me anyway so may as well take the time to get some sleep! and DRUGS! Something has to clear these sinuses!!!
Hope you all have a fantastic day! MWAH
Oh Trish - you poor, poor thing!!! You've barely slept a wink - be prepared for today to be a rough one!
Nerida - You must feel so good to have hair done - I haven't done anything since M born and it desperately needs a bit of TLC.
Kim - it is amazing how time has flown isn't it? Mateo would have been a little ball of dividing cells this time last year!! Isn't life a marvel! :-)
Alz - I am 6kg heavier than I normally am but am not looking to lose too much weight as my body has completely changed shape now - used to be straight up and down with NO boobs - now have hips and boobs and am quite liking it! :-) Just want to get my fitness back and tone up. I don't know what else to recommend for you to do - walking for an hour every day is great, especially with a healthy diet. Are you active throughout the day as well? Not just sitting around? They say that incidental exercise (housework, walking to shops etc) helps in weight loss.
Another great night's sleep last night although it took us over an hour to get him to bed the little bugger! I don't know myself with all this sleep - wake up no longer looking like an old hag!! ;-)
Have a good day everyone! xo
Yep trish i started off in the early Oct group cos of my EDD..but then after dating scan my date was moved so joined the late group!! According to tests and stuff Jasmine was conceived on Australia Day! Sorry you had another bad night....its gotta get better asap for you!!
Saffi i dont think there will be a 08 bub for me....so no announcements this way ;)
Willow good luck for your DD today.
Alz...yeah working on loosing the weight but it still not coming off yet. i have 8kg to get back to pre baby weight from first time round (from Chelsea)...so i cant see it dropping off any time soon.
Off to the Dr soon...hopefully on the weekend. I think i have insomnia. Was talking to dad last night and i was telling him how im nto sleeping. He had justbeen to the dr and thats what he was told.
His Dr gave him a book to help with sleep with tips etc. The tips dad said was: no tea/coffee 4 hours before bed, go to bed when tired....if u cant sleep...get up and read....keep doing that til you fall asleep. but the one that got me...(and my dad is a funny bloke) 'Have sex..whilst its great for the male as it tires them, for the woman is makes them more alert so isnt adviseable at bed time'.
Thats what im doing wrong..LOL LOL
Rebecca - hope you are feeling better soon. Yucky flu! :-(
Kellie - what a fantastic night's sleep! Yey for you!
Morning all
Happy three months Kieran, Tahlia and Lachlan.
Trish - sorry to hear you had a carp night. Really feel for you mums with older kids. Seems like they never stop, even when they're suppossed to be asleep.
Kellie - new hair, new attitude, its great! Just remember to take photos of Tahlia with you 'cause they will ask you. Felt like such a bad mum that I didn't have any to show them. **note to self take some with phone camera**
Rebecca - rest up and take those drugs. Hope you feel better soon.
Hi to everyone else!
DH home sick today. Had a few big days at work and has now fallen in a heap! Gee if we fell apart each time we had a rough day we'd never get out of bed.
Nothing much else going on. Going to get L weighed today. He is getting so heavy.
Hi everyone....
Sorry haven't been around for a while. Max has been a bit of a grizzly mummy's boy the last couple of days. I think it's the aftermath of Australia Day....we were so busy!
A hair cut...geez that would be nice. I'm lucky now the friend that I made at the hospital is a hairdresser and cuts hair from home....YAY!! Think I'm going to get to know her a little bit longer before I ask though, so my hair will stay boofy in the meantime.
Sorry, can't remember who asked, but the grobag in summer is fine. It gets v hot here, and I have a 0.5tog grobag and just dress Max in a short sleeve short leg grosuit thingy. He seems FINE with that. Oh we also have the fan on in the room if it's a really warm night. I bought a 1 tog one for 6 - 18months so that should fit in nicely with the weather change. If it's not warm enough for him I can just put another blanket over the top.
Peta Thanks for the invite! I can't make it this Friday but we should catch up and swap tips! BTW I got one of those BumGenius nappies to try...will see how that goes.
Max has started to wake again during the night for a feed....is that normal!!? It's around 3 or 4am (which I know isn't too bad). It's funny....you get over one cr@p phase only to have another one appear just around the corner!!
Anyone else in desperate need of a neck massage.....my muscles have never felt so tight...or tense!! DH gave me a bit of a rub last night, but he's no where near as good as a pro (but we wont tell him that!)
To anyone who had a birthday - HAPPY BIRTHDAY - To all the babes who turned 3 months - HAPPY 3 MONTHS - To anyone having a ***** time of it....SORRY to hear that!!! To anyone that is feeling sick - GET WELL SOON!! So sorry I have the WORST Mummy memory in history!!
Have a good day all
I remember someone commented on the colour of my kittens - how all three are different colours....wellI have just posted a new pic with mum included. you can kinda see why they are all different colours - she is too!!! She is not the most attractive cat in the world - so we called her Ugs (for Ugly) but DH calls her Fugs - wont go into that!
Anyway - am off to try to get some sleep - I took the night time drowsy drug! Can't exactly take it at night now can i??? Why did I buy the day/night ones??!???!
you know......I have been looking at all the little pics in everyones ticker - my little girl really is a chubba isnt she??? Doc didnt say anything about her being overweight - guess I will just have to watch her!
the night-feeder returns... he had a 10.40pm AND a 3.00am and a 5.30am.
i dunno - he chops and changes at will.
he's yelling at me from the mat so i'd better go.
Trish - we had another shocker too. Wasn't too bad to start with (he did 4.5 hours, then 3, then 3) but then DH's bl**dy stupid alarm went off and he leaves it on the other side of the room so he has to get up for it and doesn't sleep through it - only problem with that theory is that I'M always the one jumping up to get it and I wasn't quick enough so it woke L up - 5.30am!! So I figured if I fed him he would settle till at least 6.30am. Nope - dozed on and off so got him up at 6.15am.
I kept him up then instead of feeding him and putting him down like I normally do. I figured that way he could get a sleep in before dropping DD off. Worked OK, he had an hour and a bit.
The rest of the day - nightmare!!
Dropped DD off and she was a star! "Bye Mummy, see you soon!" and she was off! I sucked it up till I got in the car and then cried! LOL. She was really good apparently. Back tomorrow so we'll see how she goes.
Pretty much decided I am going to cut back to just Fridays because we have Playgroup on Monday mornings, and 3 mornings dragging L out of bed is far too much at this stage. So will talk to them tomorrow about dropping Thursday for now and we'll pick up another day later in the year.
So from preschool to the GP (remembered this morning that L needed a referral to the paed at the hospital for his follow up appt today, luckily got an appt at the GP). From the GP to the psych (by this time L is very hungry so feed him in the car in the car park) go in "No, sorry, your appt is tomorrow”. Grrrr. So I have an hour to kill, not much point going home so we went to the shops (at least it was airconditioned!) had something to eat, L slept in his pram. Then to the hospital for his paed appt.
All tests from his hospital stay came back clear so the paed thinks the rash was viral. Did another urine test today and it was clear too. BUT apparently his head circumference is a bit of a worry. According to his blue book records, his head has grown 4cm in a month and apparently that is a lot. So Dr took my head circ, I have to do DH’s tonight and the Dr is going to call me tomorrow morning to get DH’s measurement and then graph them. He said it’s probably just that DH and I both have big heads so L does too. The other possibility is that whoever recorded his head circ last time stuffed it up. I need to take him to the clinic and get it checked again in 3-4 weeks, if it’s still increasing at the same rate, I need to call the paed that day and he will organize scans of L’s head :(
I swear I am just so sick of worrying about him all the time, if it’s not one thing, its another. That might sound awful but I’ve been stressing about my beautiful boy since he was just an embryo on the screen at my IVF transfer! That’s a whole lot of worrying, no wonder I’m such a basket case…
I’m sure it will all work out fine, but it’s going to play on my mind for the next few weeks.
I hope everything will b ok Willow
Awww Willow how scary for you, I'm sure everything will be fine.
Maddi's cousin has a bigger than average head & he is fine :)
Wow, there must be something in the air to make some of the babies in here bad night sleepers ATM! I'm hoping it is just the 3 month old growth spurt and he will be back to normal soon.
Willow - I'm so glad your DD was good for you at preschool! I know Joel won't be that easy, I am seriously dreading it. Sorry you are worried about your DS's head now . You don't need the stress you poor thing. I am so sure it will just be a measurement stuff-up or something. Both my boys have big heads!!
Viv - I'm hearing ya!
Rebecca - Hope you start feeling better soon you poor love .
Julia - Hopefully Max is just having a growth spurt and he'll start sleeping through again for you!
Saffi - I don't carry a photo of Kieran around with me, don't feel bad! I have him with me all the time, why do I need a photo lol!
Kim - Hope you find a way to stop the insomnia. It must be so frustrating not being able to sleep.
Both boys are asleep ATM, it's so nice! Kieran is day napping like a pro again, now we've just gotta work on the nights! It's so weird because he was sleeping up to 8 hours at night recently. I wish they could tell us what is going on!!
Nerida - Thanks for that. I think Liams a bit better today, just a bit sorry for himself. LOL.Catch up Thurs though!! And Happy Birthday again for tomorrow!!
Trish - Yup its me who has lost 4kg (4 and a half now!!). **Proud of self** God its been hard though!! I would sooooooo recommend Weight Watchers to ANYONE!! It definately works! Nothing I did before could budge those last few kilo's. Im now lighter than I was pre-Chelsea! Next goal is to get down to pre-Liam!!
Willow - I really hope DS is ok, Im sure he will be! Doctors just like to be thorough!
I found out we were pregnant with Chels on DH's birthday Feb 16. So although I was preggers this time last year, I didnt know it!
Dunno if CHels is starting to teeth, but she has been really unsettled the last few days. It is totally not like her. She gets sooooo tired (she normally sleeps most of the day!), so I wrap her like always, and within 2 minutes she is unwrapped and crying, no matter how tight I do it. I thought maybe its time to start putting her down unwrapped but nope, she just cries and cries and cries and will not sleep. So then she is exhausted, I wrap her again and she sleeps. Just gave her a little bit of Panadol and put her down and she is out like a light now. Poor little thing. I feel so sorry for those of you who have unsettled babies often. YOU DESERVE A MEDAL!!
OK, feeling a bit better about L's massive melon - looked up the notes from his 6-8week check up and whoever put his HC in the graph at that time stuffed it up! Was 42cm, but they've graphed it at about 37, so that's why the huge increase! So pretty relieved now and will tell the paed that when he calls tomorrow.
L has slept most of the afternoon after being awake so long in the middle of the day! Just got him up, will let him have a bit of a play then it's bath, massage, bed!
Becky - I'm also having problems keeping DS wrapped. The paed today said that once they get to the point that they can get themselves out of it, there's not much you can do, especially when they are as big and strong as L is. He is also rolling all over his cot (and he is wrapped every sleep, day and night!) and I'm beginning to wonder if that is why he is waking more often at night. I seem to remember DD doing the same thing when she started rolling from her back to her side. One of the mums from playgroup gave me a sleep positioner thingo (you know with the roll on either side?), might give that a try tonight and see if it makes any difference - probably not but worth a try!
